AEW Revolution 2024: Wrestling World Reacts to Sting’s Final Match

The wrestling world has shared their appreciation for the legendary Sting following his final wrestling match that happened at AEW Revolution 2024. 

In the main event of the show, Sting and Darby Allin retained the AEW World Tag Team Championships against Matthew and Nicholas Jackson, formerly known as the Young Bucks. This win means that Sting will end his AEW career undefeated.

With Sting being such an inspiration to wrestlers, it’s hardly a surprise that many in the industry have paid tribute to the legend. On Twitter, Heath shared a selfie with the WWE Hall of Famer.

WWE Superstar Kevin Owens shared a video of himself delivering the iconic Sting yell.

AEW commentator Jim Ross was appreciative to Tony Khan that he was able to call Sting’s final match. JR had a blast working with Tony Schiavone and Excalibur. 

Shawn Spears, who recently returned to WWE NXT, had some choice language immediately after Sting’s final match. 

Stokely Hathaway used a gif of Darby Allin’s dive through a pane of glass, saying it was akin to Sean Kingston when he saw a beautiful girl. The song of the same name by Kingston includes the lyrics “You’ll have me suicidal, suicidal.”

AEW’s Matt Hardy was simply grateful that he was able to work with Sting before the Icon called it a career. 

Sting may not have worked with TNA Wrestling in a decade, but the promotion made sure to show their appreciation for the Icon. 

Ethan Page was among the many wrestlers who appreciated being able to work with Sting. 

Dustin Rhodes felt that Sting had an incredible outing in his final-ever wrestling match. 

And in a tweet of his own, Sting was thankful to the Greensboro crowd for giving him a fantastic response.
