AEW on TNT premieres Wednesday, October 2nd

All Elite Wrestling’s weekly series on TNT will premiere Wednesday, October 2nd. The weekly 2-hour show will be filmed from different cities across the United States.

The Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. will host the inaugural episode of AEW on TNT. Ticket pricing and on-sale date will be announced Monday, July 29th via AEW’s social media platforms.

The AEW on TNT premiere kicks off exactly 10 weeks from today’s announcement and coincidentally, the same week WWE SmackDown moves from USA Network to FOX.

A press release sent in by AEW includes the following details regarding the promotion’s commitment to present wrestling as a more sports-like product:

“Focused on fast-paced, high-impact competitions, AEW offers fans more athleticism along with real sports analytics. Wrestlers are also given freedom to explore their characters and highlight their athletic abilities. Introducing statistics to wrestling for the first time ever, AEW will raise the stakes for its matches and deepen fan engagement by tracking each competitor’s wins and losses as wrestlers pursue championships. Their moves and damage to their opponents will also be analyzed on-air to provide insights into their winning streaks.”
