Ring of Honor has signed popular luchador, Bandido. Bandido and ROH have reached an agreement and his debut is expected in early 2019. The news was first reported by Lucha Blog and has since been confirmed by f4wonline.com.
The 23-year-old has been making a name for himself recently in AAA and the Crash promotions in Mexico. He was also recently booked in the main event of the Elite’s All In as well. Bandido frequently teams with Flamita under the name “Mexa Blood”. The team is former tag champions in both the Crash and Progress.
ROH Free Agent Signings
Bandito is another strong signing for Ring of Honor as the company looks to regroup headed into 2019. The recent departures of Cody Rhodes, the Young Bucks and Adam “Hangman” Page could have been a devastating blow, but Ring of Honor has been aggressively rebuilding its talent
ROH COO Joe Koff recently addressed the promotion’s ability to replace leaving stars. He listed several names he feels will be the nucleus for the promotion in the coming months:
“Marty [Scurll] is up in there. Jay Lethal is up in there. Jeff Cobb is an extremely exciting performer, I love watching him. Flip Gordon. Matt Taven. I could probably go deeper than five,” he said.
In addition to Bandito, Ring of Honor has recently signed PCO, Brody King and we’re told a top UK star will be the next announcement.
