Booker T Believes Kevin Owens Belongs “At The Top Of The Card”

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has shared his thoughts on Kevin Owens, claiming that the Superstar belongs "at the top of the card."

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has shared his thoughts on former Universal Champion Kevin Owens. In a recent episode of his podcast, The Hall of Fame, Booker T was effusive with his praise for Owens, highlighting his journey from the indie scene through to the main event in WWE. Booker T noted how, for him, Owens belongs at the top of the card.

“Kevin Owens is the real deal. He’s a guy who goes out and performs at a very, very high level. And to see his rise from the indie scene, working so hard out there on that scene for so many years. You know, the squeaky wheel, the good guy finally getting the break. Rising in the company, becoming champion, falling off for a minute—I’m not sure why—coming back and going out there and having an awesome, awesome match with Drew McIntyre on Monday night. I’m just glad to see Kevin Owens back in the saddle and hopefully ascend back to that position where I think he belongs, and that’s at the top of the card.”

He continued, “Because the guy…you can put a mic in his hand, he’s going to go out and deliver. You put him in the ring with anybody, Kevin Owens is going to go out there and deliver, and I just love seeing a guy like that win. […] So Kevin, go get your money, man. Get paid.”

Fight Owens Fight

Owens made a surprise return to NXT this past weekend. He would be revealed to be the last member of Team Ciampa for their WarGames matchup against the Undisputed Era. Owens also competed on Sunday’s Survivor Series pay-per-view as a member of Team RAW. He was eliminated from the matchup courtesy of NXT’s Tommaso Ciampa. Team SmackDown would end up the winners of the match.
