Champion Vs Champion Dark Main Event On SmackDown
While WWE kept AJ Styles away from this week’s episode of SmackDown Live for unknown reason, the champ did wrestle in a Champion vs. Champion match after the cameras stopped rolling.
After SmackDown and 205 Live went off air, the WWE Champion came out and faced his recent rival and the United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in a one on one match.
The match went on for about 10 minutes and the finish saw the former TNA World Champion picking up a victory after hitting Nakamura with a Styles Clash.
Charlotte On Going Against Becky Lynch
As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, Charlotte Flair made her return to the WWE programming and she earned herself a title match for SummerSlam not too long after her comeback.
Charlotte defeated the Women’s Champion Carmella in a one on one nontitle match during the main event of the show. As a result of her victory; she is now added to the SmackDown Women’s title match at SummerSlam, making it a triple threat.
After the show, Flair was interviewed backstage. In the video of her interview as seen below, the former Champion talks about her win during the night and going against her friend Becky Lynch as SummerSlam:
