WWE has announced that former Universal Champion Finn Balor has suffered an injury. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on what kind of injury Balor is suffering from. WWE is currently doing a storyline on television that explains why he wasn’t featured on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in San Diego, CA at the Valley View Casino Center on the USA Network which is that he was attacked last week by Drew McIntyre.
It should be noted that WWE has confirmed that he will still be taking on Drew McIntyre at the TLC pay-per-view event on Sunday, December 16th, 2018 in San Jose, California at the SAP Center.
Regarding his replacement on Mixed Match Challenge, Apollo Crews will take that spot to team up with Bayley as they will face Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox on Tuesday’s episode to determine the finals at TLC.
Balor’s last match came when competed at last Wednesday’s WWE live event in Santiago, Chile where he participated in a Triple Threat with McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler, which McIntyre won. This is when WWE sent him home from the tour the following day. The RAW star tweeted out the following about taking off from the tour:
