Some of the first matches have been revealed for the upcoming WWE NXT TakeOver: Toronto event. WWE was in Winter Park, FL at Full Sail University on Thursday night for the NXT TV tapings.
At these tapings, Shayna Baszler vs. Mia Yim for the NXT Women’s Championship as well as Street Profits vs. Undisputed Era (Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish) for the NXT Tag Team Titles were announced. WWE will be officially announcing these matches next month on NXT TV.
Although not confirmed, WWE teased a Triple Threat Match between North American Champion Velveteen Dream, Pete Dunne, and Roderick Strong as well as NXT Champion Adam Cole vs. Johnny Gargano.
WWE did a segment where Cole and Gargano brawled throughout the arena that led to Gargano making Cole tap to the Gargano Escape.
The NXT TakeOver: Toronto event takes place on Saturday, August 10, 2019 in Toronto, Ontario at the Scotiabank Arena and will air on the WWE Network as part of SummerSlam weekend.
Stay tuned as the event gets closer then WWE will start to announce the lineup for what appears to be a stacked show from the NXT roster.
