Former WWE Superstar Jake Hager (Jack Swagger) has his next fight booked under the banner of the Bellator MMA promotion, which is owned by Viacom. His opponent has been revealed as he’ll take on T.J. Jones (1-1) at Bellator 221.
This show goes down on May 11th at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. Featherweight champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire moving up to 155 pounds to challenge lightweight champion Michael Chandler will serve as the main event.
Douglas Lima facing Michael Page as part of the Welterweight Grand Prix and Undefeated rising star A.J. McKee vs. former featherweight champion Pat Curran are also on tap for this show that will air exclusively on DAZN. The promotion will be announcing more bouts for this show in the coming weeks.
He beat J.W. Kiser by first-round arm triangle choke on the main card of Bellator 214 back in January at The Forum in Inglewood, California. This marked his pro-MMA debut. Hager is a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, ECW Champion, and United States Champion who’s stint with the company lasted from 2006 to 2017.
