WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has given his prediction for a potential fight that would see UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier make his next title defense against former champion Brock Lesnar.
There was a report that the promotion was hoping to book this fight in August. However, the fight isn’t even in the works according to UFC President Dana White. The UFC boss stated that he doesn’t know if Lesnar will fight again as they don’t have a date with him now.
The legendary announcer gave his take during a recent episode of his podcast, The Ross Report. Ross would start out by stating that he thinks that if Lesnar leaves WWE to go back to UFC then “DC will kill him.”
The reason for his mindset is due to his belief that striking defense is not Brock’s forte and DC knows that. Ross doesn’t think Cormier would take him down because that’s where Lesnar is best at.
“So you don’t want to get in that game with Lesnar, but the main thing is I think the punching power of DC is going to be too much for Brock.” Ross would add, “I don’t think he has to win. I think the way to winning is knocking him out.”
