WWE Hall Of Famer and legendary play-by-play man Jim Ross has reportedly been in intermediary discussions with the top Mexican pro wrestling promotion AAA about taking a job as an announcer. AAA, which will begin airing on the El Rey Network in 2014, is apparently seeking an English-speaking announcer for their television broadcasts.
The impression given to the promotion is that Ross had a lengthy non-compete clause in his WWE contract, which Vince McMahon would have likely pushed for due to the fact that he didn’t want JR commentating for TNA any time soon after his parting of the ways with WWE.
