While Kevin Owens was not part of this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, he still made some headlines with an interesting challenge he sent out on Shane McMahon’s way.
WWE had announced that Shane McMahon will be making a SummerSlam announcement on this week’s SmackDown Live and the expectation was that he will announce his opponent for the upcoming PPV during the show.
So Owens posted a video earlier in the day and he challenged the Best In The World for a match at the upcoming event, saying that SmackDown Live has become a vehicle for McMahon to inflate his ego.
What’s interesting is that the former World Champion mentioned that he can’t take this anymore and said that he will quit WWE if Shane makes this match official and beats the former NXT Star:
“Quite frankly I can’t take it anymore, it makes me sick, makes me want to throw up. I just can’t take it anymore, I can’t take it. So, how about this – you make this match at SummerSlam, Shane, and if you beat me, I’ll quit. I’ll leave.”
The company is now teasing a response from the former SmackDown Commissioner and it would be interesting to see if he accepts Owens’ offer to put his career on the line at SummerSlam.
