The scripted promos of WWE are often criticized by fans as many believe that they come off as unnatural and washes off the momentum of any angle.
During a recent interview with Jason Agnew from the Sunday Night’s Main Event podcast, WWE Hall Of Famer Mick Foley talked about introducing the 24/7 title and revealed that his whole promo at the time was scripted.
Foley claimed that he wasn’t happy with his promo and he thought that the promo where he introduced the 24/7 title on WWE TV was the worst promo he has given in the ring.
Continuing on the topic, the WWE Hall Of Famer claimed that there are a couple more promos he can consider to be worse but as far as one-off promos go, the one at the recent Raw episode was the worst he has done in a number of years.
Later in the interview, Foley also admitted that he is given a script for his appearances and claimed that it’s difficult for him because his memory is not what it used to be.
Apart from this Mick Foley also talked about the concept of the 24/7 Championship, reasons they couldn’t have introduced the Hardcore title in the current era and more. You can check out his full interview at this link.
