After being called out by Chris Jericho last night on Dynamite, Mike Tyson walked to the ring flanked by numerous MMA fighters. Tyson’s entourage included several notable former champions and one recently retired double-champion.
When Tyson’s crew came out, Henry Cejudo was one of the first visible big names to appear on the screen. Cejudo is coming off of defending the UFC Bantamweight Championship at UFC 249 against Dominick Cruz. The 33-year-old announced he was retiring after the fight, though there are some who feel this is just a negotiating strategy. Cejudo is an Olympic gold-medalist and a 2-division champion in the UFC, having held both the flyweight and bantamweight belts.
Also in Tyson’s crew was Vitor Belfort. The 43-year-old is a former UFC light heavyweight champion. He also won the UFC heavyweight tournament at UFC 12.
“Suger” Rashad Evans was also in Tyson’s crew on Dynamite last night. Evans is also a former UFC light heavyweight champion. Additionally, Evans won the Ultimate Fighter season 2 and was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2019.
Actor Mickey Gooch was also part of Tyson’s entourage.
Tyson and Chris Jericho had to be pulled-apart to end last night’s Dynamite broadcast. Highlights from the segment can be viewed below:
