News On Don Callis’ Backstage Position With Impact Wrestling

Don Callis is no longer working as an Impact executive

Don Callis is no longer an Impact Wrestling executive and he has been relieved of his backstage duties with the company according to latest reports.

The former NJPW commentator was present for the latest Impact tapings. However, he only stayed around to film his content with Kenny Omega and left after day one of the four day taping schedule.

This made many wonder if Callis is no longer working in a backstage capacity for the promotion and a latest report from PWinsider confirms these speculations.

According to reports, the Impact star had been preparing for his exit for a while and he had slowly been decreasing his responsibilities outside of the Impact creative team in the past year.

Don Callis finally left the creative team in April as well, marking the end of his tenure as an executive for the company. He is now only working as an on-screen personality for the promotion.

Though this exit was not dramatic and he remains on friendly terms with Impact officials. The former WWF star is expected to continue his on-screen role as the manager for Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers.

Impact wrestling has streamlined their creative team since his exit. The team of Scott D’Amore, Tommy Dreamer, RD Evans and Jimmy Jacobs are overlooking creative process now. There is no plan to replace Don Callis as of now.
