It’s been a rough week for injuries in WWE. Last week on RAW, Big Cass tore his ACL in the Brooklyn Street Fight against Enzo Amore. Cass underwent knee surgery on Thursday and is expected to be out of action until early 2018.
On Monday night, Xavier Woods appeared to injure his knee at a SmackDown live event from Texarkana, Arkansas.
Samoa Joe is the latest Superstar with a knee injury. As noted on Monday afternoon, the plan was for Joe to wrestle John Cena on RAW. That match obviously didn’t happen and the word going around backstage is that Joe tweaked his knee on Saturday during a match against John Cena in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Joe was advertised to wrestle Cena again at Sunday’s live event from Tupelo, Mississippi but was replaced by Bray Wyatt. According to PWInsider, Joe will be out of action for at least four weeks.
