Women’s Money In The Bank Match Planned For June’s SmackDown PPV

The SmackDown brand’s upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view will feature the first-ever Women’s MITB match, according to an exclusive report from Pro Wrestling Sheet.

Tonight on SmackDown, commissioner Shane McMahon is scheduled to make a “major announcement” regarding Money in the Bank. Just saying.

Back in October, Charlotte and Sasha Banks made history by competing in the first-ever women’s Hell in a Cell match. It was also the first time a women’s match closed a pay-per-view. Just hours ago, WWE announced the inaugural Mae Young Classic Tournament kicks off July 13th. One thing is for sure – the #WomensRevolution is still in full swing.

Aside from SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi, potential participants in the SmackDown Women’s MITB match include Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Natalya, Tamina and  a returning Lana.

WWE Money in the Bank 2017 takes place on Sunday, June 18th from St. Louis, Missouri at the Scottrade Center.
