WWE Canceled New Episode Of 205 Live On Friday Night

205 Live

In an interesting turn, a new episode of 205 Live won’t be airing on the WWE Network tonight (Friday, October 4).

The news was first broken by Post Wrestling’s John Pollock, who reported that a call was made to air a repeat episode of 205 Live.

“I’ve been told by multiple people that a call was made to air a repeat of 205 Live tonight instead of taping a new show after Smackdown in Los Angeles. They had previously announced two matches for 205 Live and it was described to me as a ‘late call’.”

This call was made late and even after WWE had announced that 205 Live would be moving to air live on the WWE Network at 10 p.m. Eastern time on Fridays starting this week.

Also, Tony Nese vs. Humberto Carrillo and Akira Tozawa vs. Brian Kendrick had been announced for the episode this afternoon.

It should also be noted that WWE’s official website had posted a preview article for 205 Live that included the announcements of Nese vs. Carrillo and Tozawa vs. Kendrick. That article has since been deleted.

Also, WWE’s streaming service, WWE Network, no longer lists a new 205 Live episode for tonight on its schedule.

There have been rumors of WWE getting rid of 205 Live and having the talent appear on NXT.

One step towards that possibility came to light when fans picked up on the fact that “NXT” is now in front of the name of the Cruiserweight Title.
