WWE Makes Change To NXT TakeOver: War Games II Match

WWE officials have made a change to the match card for NXT TakeOver: War Games II, which is the latest special for the yellow brand. As of this writing, WWE has only announced four matches for the show, which is unlike what they have done in the past. WWE fans have been waiting for a fifth match to be revealed, but that’s not likely to happen.

F4WOnline reports that the plan is not to add another contest to this lineup. The fifth match was originally supposed to be Matt Riddle vs Kassius Ohno, which would’ve marked Riddle’s NXT TakeOver debut. However, he’ll have to wait until 2019 to achieve that goal. This match reportedly will be taped prior to the show starting and will air on a later episode of NXT.

Thus, the event will move forward with four matches. The reason for this is due to timing as the four matches will need plenty of time. The past several events have all featured five matches.

The NXT TakeOver: WarGames II event takes place on Saturday, November 17, 2018 in Los Angeles, California at the Staples Center and will air on the WWE Network. Here is the updated card:

Updated NXT TakeOver: WarGames II Card

The Undisputed Era (Kyle O’Reilly, Adam Cole, Bobby Fish & Roderick Strong) vs. War Raiders, Ricochet & Pete Dunne – WarGames Match.

NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa vs. Velveteen Dream

NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler vs. Kairi Sane – Two-Out-Of-Three Falls Match

Johnny Gargano vs. Aleister Black
