Adam Cole & Bobby Fish Confronted Velveteen Dream

Velveteen Dream kicked off this week’s episode of NXT. Dream said he had a sparkle in his eye because he has something special in his sights. Velveteen stated that he had gold on his mind and referenced the NXT North American Championship.

Adam Cole interrupted and claimed that 2019 with be the year of Undisputed Era because they were all going to become champions. Bobby Fish shamed Dream as the crowd loudly chanted “shut up Bobby!”.

Fish and Cole charged the ring and Dream sent them both flying out of the ring. Velveteen slithered out of the ring and posed on the ramp as Fish and Cole shouted at him to get back down to the ring.

Burch & Lorcan Defeated Barthel & Aichner In A Great Match

Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch battled Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel tonight on NXT. Barthel and Lorcan locked up to start off the match. Marcel took control and sent Lorcan into the corner of the ring.

Aichner tagged in and hit Lorcan with a Backbreaker for a two count. Barthel tagged in and stomped on Oney in the corner. Lorcan escaped and leaped across the ring to tag in Burch. Danny hit Barthel with an awesome headbutt and then hit Aichner with a Dropkick.

Lorcan tagged back in as Barthel planted Burch with a Side Slam. Oney sent Burch out of the ring as Aichner absolutely leveled Lorcan with a Clothesline. Barthel hit Burch with a Suicide Dive as Aichner hit a double springboard Moonsault on Lorcan for a two count.

Oney battled back and applied the Half Crab to Aichner. Barthel broke it up with an Enziguri and all four Superstars fell to the mat as the NXT Universe applauded. Aichner took everyone out with a Crossbody off the top rope. Back in the ring, Lorcan rolled up Aichner for the pinfall victory. Barthel tried to break it up but Burch held him back.

Io Shirai & Kairi Sane Picked Up A Win

Io Shirai & Kairi Sane squared off against Tanea Brooks & Amber Nova on this week’s show. Io leveled Amber with a Dropkick and then tagged in Kairi. Sane connected with a Neckbreaker and started marching around the ring.

Sane hit the sliding elbow and made her way to the top rope. Brooks tagged in and Sane hit her with an Interceptor Spear. Io planted Brooks with a Spinebuster and then Kairi hit an Elbow Drop. Shirai followed it up with a Moonsault on Brookes for the pinfall victory.

Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir confronted Sane and Shirai in the parking lot after the match and talked trash to them. It was later announced that they will face each other next week in a tag team match.

Velveteen Dream Defeated Bobby Fish

After the altercation earlier in the night, NXT GM William Regal announced that Bobby Fish will face Velveteen Dream in a match tonight. Adam Cole was ringside for the match.

Dream controlled the match early and sent Fish tumbling out of the ring with a Dropkick. Dream followed it up with a Double Axehandle off the top rope. Dream talked some trash to Adam Cole and it wound up costing him. Fish capitalized on the distraction and hit a Dragon Screw that sent Velveteen’s knee into the steel barricade.

Back in the ring, Fish targetted his attack on Dream’s injured leg and beat him down in the corner. Dream battled back and hit a Dropkick off the second rope for a two count. Velveteen connected with a Spinebuster and then made his way to the top rope. Dream went for the Purple Rainmaker but Fish caught him and locked in a Knee Bar.

Velveteen made his way towards the ropes but Cole pulled the bottom rope away. The referee finally noticed and started arguing with him. Dream launched Fish onto Cole and then hit the Dream Valley Bomb on Fish. Velveteen followed it up with the Purple Rainmaker for the pinfall victory.

Ciampa & Gargano Worked Together 

NXT North American Champion Ricochet will defend his title against Johnny Gargano this Saturday night at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix. Gargano and Ricochet had a confrontation at the end of tonight’s show.

Ricochet came down to the ring and cut a promo on Johnny and called him a coward. Ricochet accused Gargano of only caring about himself. Ricochet raised up the NXT North American title and stated that in 2018 he showed the universe that he is something that Johnny is not a champion.

Gargano interrupted and attacked Ricochet in the ring. Ricochet knocked Gargano to the outside and Tommaso Ciampa attacked Ricochet from behind. Johnny took advantage and beat the hell out of Ricochet outside the ring.

Aleister Black joined the party and beat Ciampa down in the corner. Gargano looked on for a moment and then attacked Black from behind. Gargano connected with a Superkick to Black’s face as the crowd chanted “DIY!”.

Ciampa stomped on Black as Gargano continued the beat down on Ricochet. Gargano planted Ricochet with a DDT as Ciampa slammed Black to the canvas. Gargano and Ciampa walked up the entrance ramp while staring at each other. Tommaso extended his hand and Candice LeRae got in the way. Tommaso shook his head as Gargano went backstage.
