Now that the special RAW Reunion episode is in the rear-view mirror, WWE starts once again to build up programs heading into the SummerSlam pay-per-view event.
The company is hoping some of the fans from this past week will tune into this episode to capitalize on the rating to build interest around their current product.
WWE invades Little Rock, Arkansas at the Verizon Arena for tonight’s episode. WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is being advertised locally and will likely appear to further build his program with title challenger Seth Rollins.
Last Friday, WWE confirmed two matches and an interesting segment for this show.
Those matches are Rollins vs. Dolph Ziggler, and WWE RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch battling Alexa Bliss in a non-title match. Also, Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns will meet in a “Samoan Summit.”
WWE is advertising the following items for tonight’s broadcast:
- “Samoan Summit” set for Reigns and Joe
- Rollins seeks retribution against Ziggler
- Becky Lynch set to battle Alexa Bliss
- 24/7 Rules
WWE will also be creating new programs and building on the hype for existing feuds that will culminate at SummerSlam next month in Toronto.
