There could be more matches announced for WWE SummerSlam despite the show just being days away from taking place.
Currently, there are 10 matches set but the card is reportedly not complete quite yet. Vince McMahon is still considering adding more matches to the show, according to Dave Meltzer, who noted the news on Wrestling Observer Radio.
Aleister Black vs. Sami Zayn was supposed to take place but that match was pulled from the pay-per-view and booked on Tuesday’s SmackDown Live.
According to the report, there’s a meeting scheduled for the show. While 10 matches have been announced, WWE currently has 11 matches listed internally.
Meltzer noted that the card is completely fluid and he has yet to get a card for the show. He noted that could be matches taken away or there could be matches added.
He brought up how Drew McIntyre and Cedric Alexander is still on the card but not announced. He doesn’t think WWE will add Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Ali or Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan as WWE is apparently adamant about those matches not taking place.
WWE presents the SummerSlam pay-per-view event this Sunday, August 11, 2019.
