WWE recently filed trademark applications to protect the names of several former events held by World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW).
The filings come shortly after news broke that Cody Rhodes filed trademark applications for several former WCW events, including SuperBrawl, Slamboree, Bash at the Beach and The Match Beyond (a reference to the WarGames gimmick match).
AEW’s Bash at the Beach will take place on January 15th, 2020 from Miami. Information about the various trademark filings for “Bash at the Beach” can be found here.
