Charlotte Flair made a triumphant return at WWE Royal Rumble, winning the Women’s Royal Rumble Match after being sidelined for over a year due to a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus.
Following her victory, Flair opened up about the emotional journey during the WWE Royal Rumble Post-Show press conference.
“I really don’t want to break down,” she admitted. “This was the longest I’ve been away since I started in 2012, and I got into this business because of my little brother.
When my knee injury happened in December, I kept thinking, ‘I can’t go out this way.’ It made me realize how far I’ve come and why I started in the first place.”

Flair also expressed gratitude for the fans who supported her through her rehab journey, saying their encouragement helped her push forward.
“As a performer, sometimes you wonder, ‘Do I still got it? What am I coming back to do?’ But winning the Royal Rumble for a second time made me realize—I’m here to do it all over again.”
She also shared a lighthearted moment from her entrance, revealing she struggled to remove her robe due to the long hiatus.
“Good thing I remembered how to wrestle because I couldn’t get my robe off,” she joked.
Flair’s victory cements her place in WWE history, setting the stage for a high-stakes showdown at WrestleMania.
