Dominik Mysterio is no stranger to tattoos, and recently, the Judgment Day star debuted some brand new ink in homage to legends of Lucha Libre. On Instagram, Mysterio shared the new ink, featuring mask designs on his fingers.
Dominik’s father Rey Mysterio doesn’t appear on these fingers, but the new ink is a nod to several legends of wrestling. They include:
M – El Santo: One of the greatest legends in Lucha Libre, El Santo didn’t just see success in the ring, but appeared in over 50 movies from 1958 to 1982.
Y – Blue Demon: Up there with El Santo as an icon of the industry, Blue Demon never lost a Lucha de Apuestas match and retired without the public ever knowing his face.
S – Mil Mascaras: Considered by many the first international star of Lucha Libre, Mascaras was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012.
T – Rayo de Jalisco: Known for his decades with CMLL, Rayo was also final WWA World Heavyweight Champion, a title he held for five years.
E – La Parka: Not just a notable name in Lucha Libre, La Parka also competed in WCW, and is also a former MLW World Tag Team Champion.
R – Psicosis: Another WCW alum, Psicosis later joined WWE where he held the Cruiserweight Championship. He’s also worked for WCW, TNA, and AAA.
I – Konnan: Konnan’s contributions to wrestling aren’t just in the ring as he founded Lucha Lucha Underground. Konnan is also the godfather of ‘Dirty Dom.’
O – Villanos: A name shared by several masked wrestlers, Mysterio has the word ‘Villano’ tattooed behind an ear in honor of the character.
