Backstage WWE Reaction To Streaming Issues During Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson

The November 15 Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight created a lot of buzz around the world and both positive and negative reactions poured in from people online.

For WWE fans, the event brought a different kind of concern. A lot of viewers faced streaming issues for the show on Netflix, which made people wonder how things will play out when Raw is broadcasted live from the streaming platform every week starting this January.

Fightful Select spoke to people within WWE immediately after the fight. They were told that the company has been assured that the issues would be kept ‘kept at a minimum’ for their Netflix move.

One higher-up also said that if WWE ever did the type of traffic the unprecedented boxing match did, that would be a good problem to have. Raw currently averages between 1.5 million to 2 million viewers every week on USA Network.

The final streaming numbers for the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson event have not been released but the Netflix overnight data suggests that over 60 million households tuned in for the fight. While 50 million households tuned in for the co-main event of Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 2, potentially making it the most-watched professional women’s sporting event in history.

Netflix also apparently showed the new Monday Night Raw logo while promoting the show’s debut during the Friday night event, which you can check out at this link.
