Undertaker To Appear Out Of Character On Upcoming ESPN Ric Flair Special

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bj06CWkB5Cg

ESPN’s upcoming “30 For 30” documentary about Ric Flair just got a little more intriguing. In Tuesday’s edition of Sports Illustrated media reporter Richard Deitsch’s column, he previewed the upcoming special, which will be one of two (along with an XFL documentary) where WWE is cooperating with the production. The big news in the piece has little to do with Flair himself, though, as Deitsch quotes director Rory Karpf as saying that “It was also awesome to get an interview with The Undertaker (real name: Mark Calaway) out of character.”

In the past, WWE refrained from showing The Undertaker out of character in their own documentaries or allowing third party documentaries from doing so, either. When “Wrestling with Shadows” and “Beyond The Mat” were shot backstage, for example, both productions were contractually prohibited from showing him. This impacted “Wrestling with Shadows” in particular, as director Paul Jay had caught Undertaker/Calaway furiously banging on Vince McMahon’s office door after the “Montreal screw job” in the Survivor Series ’97 main event.

The main exceptions to this policy came when The Undertaker had dropped the “Deadman” gimmick from 2000-2003 and focused on the “American Badass” persona. During that period, he also did an out of character interview (embedded at the top of this article) in a 2002 episode of TSN’s “Off the Record,” which regularly featured pro wrestlers going back to 1997.

WWE Monday Night Raw Reaction (11/21)

Monday Night Raw kicked off with a video package about last night’s main event where Goldberg defeated Brock Lesnar. Goldberg then came down to the ring as the crowd chanted his name. Goldberg tried to talk but the crowd kept on chanting. Goldberg thanked the crowd for allowing him to come back and be Goldberg again. The Toronto crowd began to chant “you still got it” and Goldberg raised his hand. Goldberg then went on to thank his family who were sitting ringside. Goldberg stated that he did what he said he was going to do. He conquered Brock Lesnar. Goldberg claimed that he ran into Stephanie McMahon backstage after the match last night. Goldberg stated that Stephanie McMahon asked if Goldberg had one more title run left in him. The entire crowd broke out in a “yes!” chant. Goldberg then stated that he did indeed have one more title run left in him. Goldberg went on to announce that he will be a part of the Royal Rumble batch. He had to speak up over a very light “you screwed Bret” chant which was in reference to how Bret Hart’s career ended in a match with Goldberg.

Reaction: This was a short, but very well done promo to kick off the show. It is now official that Goldberg will be a part of the Royal Rumble. I would be shocked if he won the match but anything is possible. I think the more likely scenario is that something goes down at the Rumble and Goldberg has one final big match at Wrestlemania. I thought the “you screwed Bret” chants were unfortunate. There is a difference between expressing your opinion in a tweet or a blog post and disrupting the show. I feel the same way when someone chants “CM Punk!” during a match they deem uninteresting. It serves no purpose other than disrupt the show and be a distraction for those that are enjoying the segment.

The New Day came out and poked fun at the fact that they were eliminated rather early in the Survivor Series match last night. Xavier Woods referenced the tag team Demolition and how they held the tag titles for 478 days. Kofi Kingston stated that in 23 days their record will be “demolished”. A smattering of boos broke out and Big E acknowledged it. Big E then referred to Sheamus and Cesaro as “Shesaro”.

Raw Tag Team Championship Match: New Day vs Sheamus & Cesaro

Sheamus and Cesaro played rock-paper-scissors to see who will start off the match. Cesaro won and he immediately took it to Big E. Cesaro showed off his incredible strength by lifting Big E up and slamming him to the mat. Cesaro then tagged in Sheamus and he continued the assault on Big E. Cesaro was then tagged in and he and Sheamus hit a Double Suplex on Big E. Finally, Big E battled back and tagged in Kofi Kingston. Kofi and Cesaro battled back and forth. Cesaro went for the Cesaro Swing but Kofi crawled to the ring apron. Sheamus was tagged in and he launched Kofi into the ring post. Raw then went to a commercial break.

When Raw returned, Sheamus was on the top rope and he was met with a Dropkick in midair by Kofi Kingston. Sheamus still was able to recover before Kingston and he prevented the tag to Big E by knocking him off of the apron. Sheamus then tied Kofi up in the ropes and hit him with a big right hand. Sheamus charged at Kofi but accidentally shoved Cesaro off of the ring apron. Kingston then tagged in Big E and he connected with three Belly to Belly Suplexes. Cesaro charged at Big E but was tossed out of the ring. Kofi then leaped onto Cesaro outside the ring.

Big E went for the Big Ending but Sheamus raked his eyes and hit the White Noise. Sheamus went for the pinfall but Big E kicked out at two. Sheamus and Kofi were then tagged in. Cesaro connected with a series of uppercuts but Kofi blocked the last one and kicked him in the face. Kofi launched himself off of the top rope but Cesaro exhibited unreal strength by catching him and landing a Backbreaker. Kingston battled back and connected with an SOS but Cesaro powered out at two. Kofi went for Trouble in Paradise but Cesaro caught him and put him in the Cesaro Swing for a ridiculous amount of rotations.

Cesaro then locked in the Sharpshooter on Kingston in the center of the ring. Sheamus hit a massive Brogue Kick on Big E outside the ring. Xavier Woods then leaped onto the ring apron and started playing the trombone. It was during this time that Kofi tapped out but the referee didn’t see it due to Xavier’s distraction. Kofi then rolled Cesaro up and Xavier prevented Sheamus from getting back in the ring and breaking up the pinfall.

Winners & Still Tag Team Champions: The New Day

Reaction: The crowd booed the New Day after the match which I thought was awesome. I’ve been stating for a long time on these reactions that I thought the New Day had grown stale. The problem is that the WWE hasn’t really built up any tag teams to take the titles from them. I thought Gallows and Anderson were be the perfect team to take the tag titles from them but we’ve all seen what has happened to them as of late. The crowd is starting to get behind Cesaro and Sheamus. I think it is only a matter of time before they become the new Tag Team Champions. The New Day most likely will hold on to the titles until they break Demolition’s record. After that, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them drop the titles. On the other hand, if the New Day is all the sudden going to become a heel team their title reign may go on even longer.

Chris Jericho was interviewed backstage about Team Raw’s loss last night at Survivor Series. Jericho blamed the loss on his list being scattered around the ring. Jericho revealed that he will explain who he blames for that incident later tonight on the Highlight Reel.

Enzo was locked out of the men’s locker room naked. He then walked through the backstage area with his privates blurred out. He stumbled across the Shining Stars who offered him a timeshare in the Caribbean. Titus O’Neil then told Enzo to put some clothes on. Enzo then came across Lana and uttered “how you doin’?”. Rusev then showed up and shouted at Enzo. Big Cass also showed up. Rusev stated that he is going to crush him in the ring for walking around naked in front of his wife.

Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon were backstage bragging about Raw’s accomplishments. Sami Zayn interrupted. Foley stated that their had to be ramifications for his failure to bring the Intercontinental Championship to Raw last night. Foley then put Zayn in a match against Braun Strowman later tonight on Raw.

Cedric Alexander vs Ariya Daivari

Daivari insulted Canada before the match and stated that Canadiens were no different than Americans. Alexander connected with a Dropkick to start off the match. Daivari battled back and beat down Alexander in the corner. Alexander turned the momentum of the match in favor for a moment but he got caught up in the top rope and fell to the mat. Daivari then hit a massive Clothesline but Alexander kicked out at two. Alexander battled back and hit an impressive kick to the face of Daivari. Alexander connected with a Flying Clothesline and followed it up with a Lumbar Check for the victory.

Winner: Cedric Alexander

Reaction: More was accomplished in this match for the Cruiserweight division than any of the random six-man tag matches we have seen recently on Raw. The match itself was short and I wish it was given a few more minutes in order for the audience to start connecting with some of these Superstars. Daivara cut a stereotypical goofy promo before the match but at the very least he has some kind of a character. They need to do more little promos like that for Superstars like Drew Gulak and Tony Nese. The promos themselves may not be great but they will give some character to these wrestlers. Ever since the Cruiserweight division debuted on the main roster it has essentially been nameless faces flipping around in the ring. The only Superstars the WWE Universe even remotely care about in the division are Brian Kendrick and T.J. Perkins. This match was inconsequential and ultimately didn’t mean anything, but I was still glad to see a single’s match within the division with a short promo before it.

Highlight Reel w/ Chris Jericho

Kevin Owens immediately interrupted Jericho when he began to talk. Owens came down to the ring and referred to the television hanging about the ring as the “Jeriton 5,000”. Jericho corrected him and stated that it was called the “Jeritron 6,500”. Owens showed a picture of Jericho about to get hit with a Styles Clash last night at Survivor Series. Owens then showed a picture of himself using the list to attack AJ Styles. Owens claimed that he was trying to save Jericho from the Styles Clash because he is Jericho’s best friend. Jericho asked why he would do that when he knows how much the list means to him. Owens then said “who cares” and Jericho became very upset.

Jericho stated that the list means everything to him. Owens claimed that he sacrificed himself last night for Jericho. He was disappointed that Jericho didn’t capitalize on Owens sacrificing himself and allowed himself to fall victim to an RKO from Orton. Jericho then stated that maybe he and Owens do not have much of a friendship to begin with. Jericho claimed that Owens is never there when he needs him. Jericho then said that he was finished with Kevin Owens. Jericho went to walk away and Owens grabbed him. The two in concert both stated that it was the fault of Roman Reigns that Team Raw lost last night. Owens and Jericho both hugged in the middle of the ring as a very loud “Roman sucks!” chant broke out. Michael Cole tried to talk over it but was unsuccessful. Owens went on to state that it was just as much Seth Rollins’ fault that Team Raw lost last night.

Seth Rollins came down to the ring with a gigantic grin on his face. Rollins stated that the future is now and that he was promised certain opportunities if he fought with Owens and Jericho at Survivor Series. Rollins then demanded a Universal Championship match with Kevin Owens tonight. Owens and Jericho basically shrugged off Rollins’ statement. Rollins then attacked both of them but Owens and Jericho got the upper hand. Roman Reigns then came out to a symphony of boos. The crowd continued to boo everything Reigns did. Reigns hit a Superman Punch on Jericho. Mick Foley then came down to the entrance ramp. Foley then made a match between Owens and Rollins for the Universal Championship tonight. The match will be no DQ and both Jericho and Reigns are banned from ringside. Foley had a blunder and forgot that the title was called the Universal Championship.

Reaction: This segment was terrific. I completely fell for the idea that Jericho and Owens will no longer be friends. That obviously will happen in the future but I thought for sure they were going to start fighting tonight. I haven’t heard a negative reaction like that in a long time for Roman Reigns. It is stunning to me that Reigns still generates that amount of vitriol from the WWE Universe. Reigns certainly has his fans and overall I think he has improved greatly in the ring. I’ve always felt like he was miscast as this lovable giant when he is better served at being a badass. It may have just been that Raw is in Toronto and both Jericho and Owens are from Canada.  Still, those boos had more passion behind them than most of the heel characters in the WWE. I thought things would get better for Roman when he won the United States Championship. It is a midcard title and he hasn’t been a part of the main event scene for awhile. I think the WWE is biding their time before they put Reigns right back in the hunt for the Universal Championship. I’m assuming they will also continue to align him with Seth Rollins in the hopes that some of Rollins’ popularity with the hardcore fans will rub off on Reigns. I’m not sure if that is still possible with the reaction he received tonight from the audience. Granted, it was just one crowd but that reaction was surreal.

Rusev vs Enzo Amore

Before the match, Enzo and Cass poked fun at Rusev and Lana. Once the match began, Rusev beat the living hell out Enzo. Rusev connected with a kick to the face of Enzo. Rusev then immediately locked in the Accolade and Enzo tapped out. After the match, Big Cass ran into the ring and Rusev retreated.

Winner: Rusev

Tag Team #1 Contenders Match: Golden Truth vs Gallows & Anderson

Anderson and Goldust started out the match, Byron Saxton stated that the Golden Truth were like a “salad without the right dressing” and that maybe tonight was the night they put everything together. Gallows and R-Truth were in the ring and Gallows was dominating. Anderson was then tagged in and he continued the assault. The crowd started chanting “Goldust” to the tune of the Goldberg chant. Gallows got back in the match and landed a Clothesline on R-Truth. Gallows then hit a few elbows to R-Truth’s collarbone.

R-Truth finally battled back and connected with a kick to the shiny head of Gallows. Goldust was tagged back in and he took it to Anderson. Goldust landed several punches to Anderson’s head in the corner. Goldust then connected with a double Crossbody onto Gallows and Anderson. Gallows took out R-Truth outside the ring. Back in the ring, Gallows and Anderson hit the Magic Killer on Goldust for the victory. The New Day will defend their titles against Gallows and Anderson next week on Raw.

Winners & #1 Contenders For The Raw Tag Titles: Gallows & Anderson

Reaction: Golden Truth must now continue their quest to find the appropriate salad dressing to complete their salad. I’m looking forward to seeing how Gallows and Anderson will lose to the New Day next week.

Sami Zayn vs Braun Strowman

During Zayn’s entrance, Braun Strowman attacked him from behind. The crowd continued the “ole” chant even though Strowman was destroying Zayn in the ring. The match officially started and Strowman hit Zayn with a massive Clothesline in the corner. Strowman followed it up with another big Clothesline in the corner. Strowman charged at Sami again but he was able to get his foot up and kick Strowman in the face. Zayn connected with several punches but Strowman responded by leveling him in the middle of the ring with another Clothesline. Strowman continued to beat down Zayn and Mick Foley came out to the entrance ramp and stopped the match.

Winner: Braun Strowman

Charlotte and Dana Brooke came down the ring. Charlotte showed a picture of her kicking Bayley in the face on the titantron and laughed. Charlotte referred to herself as the Wayne Gretzky of the WWE and then stated that she was even better that Gretzky. Charlotte continued to brag about herself and Sasha Banks interrupted. Sasha demanded that she get her Women’s Championship right now. Charlotte stated that the match will not happen tonight. Charlotte went on to state that the match will happen on Raw next week in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Nia Jax then interrupted and came down to the ring. Nia Jax claimed that she dominated Team Smackdown last night and that Sasha Banks did not. Nia Jax called Sasha an “overrated purple-headed Barbie doll”. Dana Brooke then started to taunt Sasha and Banks punched her in the face. Nia Jax then attacked Sasha Banks and Charlotte egged her on. Nia Jax held up Sasha as Charlotte hit a couple of chops. Bayley then to the ring and Nia Jax tossed Sasha out of the ring. Bayley tried to get into the ring but Nia Jax kneed her off of the apron. Raw then went to a commercial break.

Sasha Banks & Bayley vs Nia Jax & Charlotte

Sasha and Bayley took turns beating down Charlotte. Eventually, Charlotte connected with an elbow on Bayley and tagged in Nia Jax. Nia launched Bayley out of the ring and the referee tried to prevent her from going after her. During the distraction, Dana Brooke leveled Bayley outside the ring. Nia Jax then tagged in Charlotte and she applied a Chinlock to Bayley. The hold was eventually broken but Charlotte dragged Bayley to the corner and tagged in Nia Jax. Bayley avoided Nia and tried to crawl to the corner to tag in Sasha. Charlotte got back in and tried to prevent the tag but she was unsuccessful.

Sasha Banks entered the match and beat down Charlotte in the corner and connected with the Double Knees. Sasha and Bayley hit a Double Suplex on Nia Jax. Charlotte rolled up Sasha but she kicked out at two. Charlotte went for another roll up but Sasha reversed it into the Bank Statement. Charlotte had no choice but to tap out in the middle of the ring.

Winners: Sasha Banks & Bayley

Reaction: It is good to see Nia Jax dominating on Monday Night Raw. I think Sasha Banks and Charlotte are excellent performers. Personally, I’m just tired of seeing them wrestle each other. I’m hoping that next week is the end of their feud for awhile. I’m also hoping that the WWE doesn’t continue to play hot potato with the Raw Women’s Championship and give the title right back to Sasha Banks. Charlotte does a great job as a heel champion and I’d like to see that continue with an opponent other than Sasha Banks. I thought Sasha Banks deserved to win the title when she did and I’m still confused as to why she lost the belt so quickly at Hell in a Cell.

#1 Contender Triple Threat Match For Cruiserweight Championship: T.J. Perkins vs Rich Swann vs Noam Dar

The Brian Kendrick joined commentary for this match. Perkins hung himself between the top and second rope and Dar hit him with a Dropkick. Swann then knocked Dar out of the ring and connected with a chop on Perkins in the corner. Perkins connected with a Dropkick to Swann’s knee and Raw went to a commercial break.

When Raw returned, Perkins had Swann in a submission hold. Noam Dar tried to attack Perkins but T.J. hit a Suplex while still maintaining the submission hold on Swann. Perkins climbed the top rope and Swann caught him with a sloppy-looking Hurricanrana. Dar then went on the attack and beat down Swann in the corner. Perkins then caught Dar with a kick to the face. Swann then kicked Dar in the back of the head and followed it up with a kick to Perkins. T.J. locked in the Knee Bar on Swann but Noam Dar broke up the hold. Dar hit a Dropkick on Perkins and then got locked in the Knee Bar by Perkins. Swann broke up the hold and connected with a spinning kick to the head of Perkins for the victory.

Winner & #1 Contender To The Cruiserweight Championship: Rich Swann

Reaction: I’ve spent what seems like an eternity on here bashing what the WWE has done to the Cruiserweight division. On this particular episode of Raw, they have done a great job by putting on two Cruiserweight matches and giving them some time. The first Cruiserweight match of the night was short but at least it was a six-man tag match. The triple threat match was solid. Rich Swann is a great choice to go against Kendrick because he has some personality and charisma. I’m hoping that they give this feud some time to develop, whether that be on Raw each week or on 205 Live.

No DQ Universal Championship Match: Kevin Owens (c) vs Seth Rollins

Kevin Owens rolled out of the ring immediately when the match started. Owens was trying to get something from under the ring but Rollins prevented him. The action spilled back into the ring and Rollins caught Owens with a knee. Rollins then went under the ring and brought out a table. Owens caught Rollins as he tried to get back into the ring and slammed him to the mat. Owens shoved the table out of the ring and the crowd booed. Raw once again went to a commercial break as Owens was screaming at the crowd for booing his actions.

When Raw returned, Rollins kicked out of a pinfall. Owens had hit a DDT on Rollins onto a chair during the commercial break. Owens once again hit Rollins with the steel chair in the ribs. Rollins eventually fought back and sent Owens out of the ring. Rollins then hit a Suicide Dive onto Owens outside the ring. Seth then rolled Owens back into the ring and beat him down in the corner. Raw once again went to a commercial break.

When Raw came back from another commercial break during the main event, Owens and Rollins were trading punches in the middle of the ring. Rollins and Owens then traded kicks to the head and both men fell to the mat. During the commercial break, Owens put Rollins through a table and hit a Cannonball on him outside the ring up against the barricade. Rollins went for a Frog Splash but Owens rolled out of the way. Owens then set up Rollins in the corner with a chair and hit a Cannonball on him.

Owens then set up two chairs in the ring and tried to Powerbomb Rollins on top of them. Rollins reversed it into a Back Body Drop and Owens landed on top of the two chairs. The crowd then broke out in a “this is awesome!” chant. Rollins went back under the ring and brought out another table. Rollins brought the table into the ring and stomped on Kevin Owens. Rollins set up the table in the corner of the ring against the turnbuckle.

Owens recovered and tried to grab a chair but accidentally knocked it out of the ring. Rollins connected with a kick to Owens’ head and climbed to the top turnbuckle. Owens caught him and landed a couple of chops as Rollins was on the turnbuckle. Rollins slipped underneath Owens and carried him across the ring and Powerbombed him through the table set up across the ring. Rollins went for the pin but Owens kicked out at two.

Owens then rolled out of the ring to try to avoid Seth Rollins. Seth followed him outside the ring and Clotheslined him over the barricade and into the crowd. Rollins hopped up onto the barricade and launched himself onto Kevin Owens. Rollins continued the assault and Owens desperately tried to escape through the crowd. Owens was all the way in the back of the arena and Rollins continued to pursue him.

Rollins smashed a trash can over the face of Kevin Owens. Owen then was at one of the crowd entrances and tried to Powerbomb Rollins onto the concrete floor. Rollins grabbed the railing and scaled the wall into the crowd. Rollins then launched himself from the crowd on top of Rollins. The crowd went crazy for this awesome sequence. Rollins continued to attack Owens as they once again battled through the crowd. The Toronto crowd were all on their feet and once again broke out in a “this is awesome” chant.

Owens and Rollins finally made it back to the ring. Rollins jumped up on the barricade but a fan in the mask attacked Rollins. The mask was ripped off and it was Jericho under the mask. Rollins then hit the Pedigree on Jericho. Owens then hit a Powerbomb on Rollins onto the ring apron and rolled Rollins back into the ring. Owens then brought Rollins and pinned him for the victory. The announcer’s questioned the validity of this result given the fact that Chris Jericho was banned from the match.

Winner & Still Universal Champion: Kevin Owens

Reaction: I have spent almost every week since the brand split bashing Raw in these reaction articles. Tonight was an excellent episode of Monday Night Raw. The entire show was good. The main event was such a good match that I am shocked that they gave it away from free. I also thought the ending of the match was good because it gives them a reason to have this match again. Smackdown will have to put on one hell of a show tomorrow night to top tonight’s Raw. I don’t expect every episode of Raw to be as good as this one. I sincerely hope that they continue in this direction and provide the audience with both entertaining promos and quality matches. There has been very little of either for the past few weeks of Raw. Tonight was a great reminder of how entertaining a wrestling show can be when done correctly.

What did you think of tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw? Let us know in the comments below.

Goldberg Confirmed For The Royal Rumble

Coming off his 86-second win over Brock Lesnar at WWE Survivor Series, Goldberg appeared on tonight’s RAW from Toronto and confirmed that he will be in the 30-man Royal Rumble main event in January 2017.

Goldberg first teased that all good things must come to an end, but something funny happened when he was walking to the back after defeating Goldberg. Stephanie said Goldberg had one more jackhammer, one more spear, one more ass kicking left in him. But does he have one more title run left in him? Goldberg said you bet your ass he has one more title run in him and at the Royal Rumble, “Everyone is next!”

The winner of the Royal Rumble earns a title shot of their respective brand in the main event of WrestleMania 33, so Goldberg could theoretically be the WWE Universal Champion come April.

The 2017 Rumble takes place on 1/29 from The Alamodome in San Antonio, TX.

Sasha Banks & Bayley def. Charlotte & Nia Jax Charlotte goes back-and-forth with the babyfaces in the opening minutes until Nia tags back in and starts ragdalling Bayley. Sasha and Charlotte eventually get tagged back in, and Sasha hits a cross body splash off the top for a two count on Charlotte. Bayley tags back in and hits a double duplex on Nia with Sasha. Charlotte tags back in, but Sasha gets her in the Banks Statement shortly after for the win.

– Next up, we see a brief promotional package about The Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection, which leads into an ad for Disney’s “Moana” which features The Rock as a voice actor.

TJ Perkins def. Noam Dar & Rich Swann Lots of competitive action to start off the first few minutes. Swann takes control of the match after dropkicking Dar to the floor. Parkins makes a brief comeback and locks in a one bar on Dar, but Swann hits a Rolling Thunder and follows up with a stiff kick to Perkins for the win. Swann is now the #1 contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

Kevin Owens def. Seth Rollins: This match is under No DQ rules. Owens rolls outside immediately to grab something from under the ring, but Rollins drops him with a sliding dropkick then continues the offence. Rollins hits a double knee strike for a two count, and Owens answers back with a power bomb for a two count for his own. A steel chair comes into play early on, and Rollins drops Owens into it. Owens is able to hit a cannonball in the corner, comes back with a DDT, and takes control of the match for a few minutes. They brawl through the crowd and into the depths of the seating area. Owens and Rollins brawl all through the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, then right back to ringside. As they approach the ring again, a masked “fan” attacks Rollins, and the masked “fan” is revealed to be Chris Jericho. Rollins takes out Jericho with a Pedigree at ringside. The action goes to ringside where Rollins attempts a pedigree, but Owens gets out and powerbombs Rollins onto the corner of the ring apron. Owens rolls Rollins back into the ring and pins him for the win.

– After the match, Jericho recovers from his Pedigree at ringside and smiles at Owens retaining his tile. Owens and Jericho celebrate at ringside and head to the back. RAW goes off the air with Owens raising the WWE Universal Title above his head.

UFC star CM Punk appeared on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Hour podcast on Monday and commented on his future in mixed martial arts.

Despite losing his UFC debut in what he called “spectacular fashion” back in September, Punk has every intention on fighting again and has a timeframe in mind. Punk says he recently spoke with UFC President Dana White and told him that he understands he might get cut from the company. Punk is confident his next fight will be for UFC, but he is ready to fight for a smaller promotion if that’s what he has to do.

As for when we can expect to see Punk back in the cage, he plans to fight in January or February. He’s already “returned to the drawing board” with his training and has been working on the gaps in his game that led to his first-round defeat to Mickey Gall at UFC 203.

Punk plans to continue fighting at 170 pounds, but is open to fighting at 185 since it was difficult for him to make weight for the first fight.

Goldberg Scheduled For RAW, Who Should Goldberg Face Next?

Following his destruction of Brock Lesnar last night at Survivor Series, Goldberg is scheduled to appear on tonight’s WWE RAW from Toronto. Goldberg made quick work of Lesnar, polishing off The Beast in a shocking 86 seconds. News broke last night that Goldberg has signed on to wrestle more dates with WWE and is will participate in January’s 30-man Royal Rumble battle royal. It’s believed Goldberg is signed with WWE through WrestleMania 33.

WWE’s official preview for tonight’s RAW teases “What’s next for Goldberg?” and asks, “If Goldberg stays true to his word, the bout with The Beast Incarnate was “last” on his to-do list. Will Goldberg deliver an official farewell on Raw?” Dave Meltzer reports that Goldberg will be on RAW tonight to address his WWE future, however Lesnar and Paul Heyman are not expected to be there.

As noted earlier, WWE is running a poll asking what’s next for him. With 73% of fans saying, “Goldberg still has it; no way this could really be his last match,” it’s clear the WWE Universe wants more Goldberg. The WWE website is describing the match as a “thrashing” and “decimation” – so you can bet we have not seen the end of the Goldberg vs. Lesnar feud.

Discussion: Do you expect to see him wrestle anybody else besides Brock Lesnar during this final WWE run? If so, who do you want to see Goldberg face?

Goldberg Defeating Lesnar Has Split The WWE Universe Down The Middle

Last night at Survivor Series, Goldberg defeated Brock Lesnar in 1 minute and 25 seconds. There are people that thought this match was great and that it provided them with a moment they will never forget.

https://twitter.com/BrandonTorrey/status/800740397093941248

On the other hand, there are those that did not enjoy the match and felt like it diminished The Undertaker’s streak at Wrestlemania.

https://twitter.com/TheSidEudy/status/800546800746762240

It appears that this match has split the WWE Universe down the middle. Many feel like it provided an awesome moment and it was something that nobody saw coming. Others felt like it was barely a match and was way too short to be a main event at one of the biggest shows of the year. In my reaction article, I posted why I did not enjoy the match. Hopefully, the end result will be that more people will tune in for the next few months to see what will happen with Goldberg and Brock Lesnar. My fear is that the shock value will wear off once new viewers realize that Goldberg will not be at every show heading into the future. In the end, the WWE got what they wanted because people are talking about wrestling again.

What are your thoughts on the Goldberg and Lesnar match that took place last night? Do you think it was a mistake or do you feel like it was best for business? Let us know in the comments below.

WWE RAW Preview: Survivor Series Fallout

WWE invades Toronto’s Air Canada Centre for the third consecutive night for tonight’s episode of Monday Night RAW. The show will feature fallout from last night’s Survivor Series  PPV.

It’s worth noting that WWE’s main tagline for the show reads, “What’s next for Goldberg?” According to a source close to the situation, Goldberg will be appearing on RAW. Following the news of Goldberg signing with WWE, expect to see an announcement that he hasn’t wrestled his final match.

WWE is advertising the following items for tonight:

– Will Goldberg issue a farewell address after his destruction of Brock Lesnar?

– Did Bayley earn a shot at Charlotte’s RAW Women’s Championship after the two were the final survivors of Team RAW in the Women’s match?

– Are Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens on the same page after “The List” led to both men being eliminated last night?

– Seth Rollins pledged his loyalty to Team RAW in exchange for certain “assurances” from commissioner Stephanie McMahon. Team SmackDown was victorious, but will Stephanie still honor her word to take care of Rollins in exchange for his efforts at Survivor Series?

Shane McMahon’s Crazy Bump From Survivor Series, Randy Orton Comforts Shane’s Wife & Son

Shane McMahon got his bell rung last night at Survivor Series during the 5-on-5 RAW vs. SmackDown elimination match. The spot came when Shane was attempting a coast-to-coast Van Terminator on Roman Reigns. Reigns jumped up while Shane was mid-air and delivered a vicious spear to the SmackDown commissioner.

https://twitter.com/DeadByElbow/status/800532846997737472

Shane looked like he didn’t know where he was and the referee quickly announced that he had been eliminated from the match.

It was a scary moment that led to Randy Orton breaking character and consoling Shane’s wife and son, who were at ringside and concerned for his health. WWE has not yet provided an injury update on Shane’s condition, but he left it all in the ring last night and once again showed his willingness to put his body on the line.

Goldberg Reportedly Signs With WWE

We haven’t seen the last of Bill Goldberg in a WWE ring. After a shocking squash victory over Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, Goldberg has reportedly signed a deal with WWE that will see him compete at January’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

The news comes courtesy of James McKenna of Pro Wrestling Sheet. As soon as Goldberg’s hand was raised at Survivor Series, it became clear that this was almost certainly not his final WWE match. Goldberg going over Lesnar in such stunning fashion made it clear Goldberg would be lacing up his boots once again.

The current plan is for Goldberg to compete in the 30-man Royal Rumble battle royal, which takes place on Sunday, January 29th from the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, Texas. It’s not yet known if he’ll be sticking around for WrestleMania, but Goldberg fans have more exciting moments to look forward to as we enter 2017.

According to sources backstage at Survivor Series, the majority of the WWE locker room was genuinely shocked at the outcome of the main event. The match result was a closely guarded secret that only select people knew about. This tweet from RAW General Manager Mick Foley was apparently a shoot:

Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg: Reactions To The Stunning Finish

Survivor Series has come and gone, the Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg rematch is in the history books and its safe to say virtually nobody saw that finish coming. After a 12 year hiatus from the ring, Bill Goldberg made short work of Lesnar – delivering two spears and a jackhammer to get the win in approximately two minutes. The controversial booking decision begs several questions, including:

  • Is this really the last we’ve seen from Bill Goldberg?
  • Was either man dealing with an injury that prevented them from wrestling a full match?
  • Was Bill Goldberg the right man to ‘cash in’ on defeating Brock Lesnar so decisively instead of an up and coming star?

We’ll be analyzing the finish in-depth in the days to come, but for now, here are some reactions from the wrestling world:

WWE Survivor Series 2016 Reaction

Team Raw (Bayley, Sasha Banks, Nia Jax, Alicia Fox & Charlotte) vs Team Smackdown (Nikki Bella, Carmella, Alexa Bliss, Naomi & Becky Lynch)

Nikki Bella was apparently attacked from behind before the match and was unable to compete. Nikki was shown backstage holding her head and the doctors couldn’t clear her.Natayla replaced her in the match.

Alicia Fox and Carmella started off the match. Carmella connected with the Bronco Buster but Alicia kicked out at two. Carmella tagged in Becky Lynch and Alicia Fox tagged in Bayley. Charlotte then tagged herself in before Bayley and Becky could lock up. Sasha Banks then tagged herself in and chaos broke out. Team Smackdown backed down once Nia Jax got in the ring.

Lynch and Banks were in the ring but once again Charlotte tagged herself in. Becky dominated Charlotte and then Nia Jax was tagged in. Nia hit Becky with a headbutt. Carmella and Alexa Bliss were also dominated by Nia Jax. Nia leveled both Carmella and Natalya with a double Clothesline. Alicia Fox was tagged in and she eliminated Carmella. Alexa Bliss then hit the Twisted Bliss and eliminated Alicia Fox.

Naomi hit a diving Crossbody onto Nia Jax outside the ring. Nia Jax recovered and smashed Naomi into the LED ring post and Naomi was eliminated by count out. Sasha Banks beat the hell out of Alexa Bliss and Natalya. However, Natalya was able to eliminate Sasha Banks by rolling her up.

Natalya and Charlotte traded chops in the ring. Natalya connected with a German Suplex and the Toronto crowd started to chant “Suplex City”. Natalya then connected with a Powerbomb on Charlotte. Natalya locked in the Sharpshooter but Charlotte reached the bottom rope to break the hold. Charlotte then hit Natalya with a running boot and Natalya was eliminated.

Alexa Bliss and Becky Lynch tried to Double Suplex Nia Jax but it was reversed and Nia Jax Suplexed both of them. Becky Lynch locked in the Dis-Arm-Her on Nia Jax and she was eliminated. After she was eliminated, Nia launched Becky into the barricade. Charlotte then hit another running boot on Alexa Bliss and she was eliminated.

It was Charlotte and Bayley versus Becky Lynch. Becky hit the Becksplex on Charlotte and followed it up with a Leg Drop off the top rope. Bayley was tagged and she immediately went for a roll up on Becky but she kicked out. Bayley hit a Suplex and followed it up with a Bayley to Belly for the victory. After the match, Charlotte attacked Bayley and left her laying outside the ring.

Winners: Team Raw (Bayley, Sasha Banks, Nia Jax, Alicia Fox & Charlotte)

Reaction: This was a decent match. I was really looking forward to this match and it wasn’t as good I was expecting it to be. Charlotte will now head into a feud with Bayley and I’m sure it will be revealed who attacked Nikki Bella on this week’s episode of Smackdown.

Gallows and Anderson insulted James Ellsworth by making 10,000 unfunny chin jokes in a row. Mick Foley interrupted and tried to recruit Ellsworth to join Monday Night Raw. Ellsworth declined and then Braun Strowman showed up. Ellsworth then ran away in fear.

Intercontinental Championship Match: The Miz (c) vs Sami Zayn

The match started off back and forth until it spilled outside the ring. Sami Zayn hit a Moonsault off the barricade onto Miz. Maryse then got in Sami’s face and the distraction allowed The Miz to regain control of the match.

The action returned to the ring and The Miz focused his attack on Sami’s knee. The Miz continued the attack and the match slowed down considerably. Zayn fought and sent Miz out of the ring. The Miz grabbed Zayn’s leg and drove Sami’s leg into the post outside the ring. The Miz went for the Figure Four but Zayn blocked it. Sami Zayn then exploded into a massive Clothesline and Miz went flying across the ring. Zayn then Clotheslined Miz out of the ring and hit a Moonsault.

Miz once again went for the Figure Four but Zayn blocked it. The Miz went for the Figure Four a third time but Sami reversed it into a roll up and Miz kicked out. Miz then hit a DDT on Zayn. The Miz then mocked Daniel Bryan by doing the Yes! chant and hit Sami with three Dropkicks in the corner. The Miz went for a Double Axe handle off the top rope but Zayn caught him and reversed it into a Blue Thunder Bomb. Sami then went for the Helluva Kick but Miz got out of the way.

Sami Zayn hit an Exploder Suplex in the corner and went for the Helluva Kick once again but he missed. The Miz was finally able to lock in the Figure Four in the middle of the ring. Sami reversed the hold and the Figure Four was locked in on The Miz. The Miz reversed the hold once again but Zayn was able to grab the bottom rope to break the hold.

The Miz continued to mock Daniel Bryan by using his kicks on Sami Zayn. Sami ducked one of the kicks and locked in the Figure Four once again. The Miz was close to the bottom rope but Zayn dragged him back into the center of the ring. Maryse then rang the bell and Sami Zayn thought he won the match. Zayn got up to celebrate and The Miz rolled him up to win the match.

Winner & Still Intercontinental Champion: The Miz

Reaction: I was fearful that the IC title would wind up on Monday Night Raw and I’m glad that didn’t happen. This match was very good and told a great story throughout. I figured that there would be some kind of screwy finish but this one was creative. I thought Dolph Ziggler would somehow get involved in the match but he was nowhere to be found. I’m still holding out hope that Sami Zayn makes his way to Smackdown in the next few weeks but I doubt that will happen.

AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose were arguing backstage. Shane McMahon interruped and implored them to get on the same page. Shane stated that they can settle their differences in two weeks in their match at TLC. Ambrose walked away and Styles continued to complain about him to Shane McMahon.

Team Raw (Enzo & Cass, Gallows & Anderson, Sheamus & Cesaro, Shining Stars & New Day) vs Team Smackdown (Slater & Rhyno, American Alpha, Breezango, Hype Bros & The Usos)

Fandango started off the match by giving everyone a ticket for their fashion. He was then immediately eliminated by Kofi Kingston. Kofi was then immediately eliminated by The Usos. So in the first minute of the match, both the New Day and Breezango were eliminated.

The Hype Bros singled out Epico and beat him down. Epico tried to make a tag but Mojo followed him around the ring. Mojo then got caught in Team Raw’s corner and they took turns beating him down. Anderson and Ryder were then in the ring. Ryder hit a Dropkick on both Gallows and Anderson. Anderson and Gallows rebounded and hit the Magic Killer on Ryder to eliminate the Hype Bros.

Chad Gable was trapped in Team Raw’s corner. Epico hit three Suplexes on Gable and went for the pinfall but Gable kicked out. Gable eventually battled back and tagged in Jason Jordan. American Alpha then eliminated the Shining Stars.

Chaos broke out and everyone was outside the ring besides Heath Slater. Heath then launched himself onto everyone outside the ring. Back in the ring, Chad Gable hit a monstrous German Suplex on Cesaro. Gable then launched himself onto everyone outside the ring. Gallows and Anderson hit the Magic Killer on Jason Jordan and American Alpha were eliminated.

Sheamus reached out his hand to tag in Cesaro but pulled his hand back. Sheamus then went to jump onto Slater but he missed and hit the post. Luke Gallows was then tagged in and he bumped into Enzo and it sent him flying out of the ring. Rhyno then hit a Gore on Gallows and Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson were eliminated.

Enzo and Cass then eliminated Slater and Rhyno. The Usos were then the final team remaining on Team Smackdown. The Usos then eliminated Enzo and Cass. It was now down to Sheamus and Cesaro versus The Usos.

Sheamus went for a Brogue Kick but he missed. The Usos then hit a Double Superkick on Cesaro. Sheamus hit a Brogue Kick on Jimmy Uso but the pinfall was broken up. Jey Uso had Sheamus beat but Cesaro broke up the pin at the last second. Cesaro was then tagged in and he hit a series of uppercuts on Jey Uso. Cesaro then followed it up by hitting a 619. Cesaro then hit the Cesaro Swing on Jey Uso. Jimmy Uso kicked Cesaro’s knee and launched himself onto Sheamus outside the ring. Jey Uso then locked in a submission lock on Cesaro but Cesaro reversed it into a Sharpshooter. Jimmy Uso tried to break up the hold but Sheamus leveled him with a Brogue Kick. Jey Uso had no choice but to submit and Team Raw picked up the victory. After the match, it was revealed that Sheamus & Cesaro will be facing the New Day for the Tag Team titles tomorrow night on Raw.

Winners: Team Raw (Enzo & Cass, Gallows & Anderson, Sheamus & Cesaro, Shining Stars & New Day)

Reaction: This match was complete chaos. I thought this was on the one traditional Survivor Series match that Team Smackdown would win tonight. I thought that was even more of a lock when the New Day were eliminated right when the match began. Overall, this match was a bit of a cluster but was still entertaining.

Cruiserweight Championship Match: Brian Kendrick (c) vs Kalisto

The match started out back and forth. Kendrick took control by hitting a Belly to Back Suplex. Kendrick continued the attack and crushed Kalisto between the stairs and the ring apron. Kalisto was able to get into the ring before the referee counted to ten but Kendrick remained in control. The match slowed down and the crowd became restless. The match picked up momentum when Kalisto hit a Spanish Fly from the ring apron on Kendrick.

Back in the ring, Kalisto went for a pinfall but Kendrick kicked out at two. Kendrick rolled out of the ring and Kalisto dove out of the ring onto him. Kendrick drove Kalisto into the ring apron. Kalisto fought back and rolled Kendrick back into the ring. Kalisto went to the top rope but Kendrick recovered and caught him. Kendrick locked in the Captain’s Hook but Kalisto reached the bottom rope to break the hold.

Kendrick continued to control the match and landed a few punches to Kalisto in the corner. Kalisto battled back and hit the Salida del Sol but Kendrick got his foot on the bottom rope before the referee counted to three. Baron Corbin then ran in from the crowd and hit the End of Days on Kalisto.

Winner via DQ & Still Cruiserweight Champion: Brian Kendrick

Reaction: The crowd didn’t care about this match to begin with. The WWE compounded that problem by providing the audience with a terrible finish to the match. I’ve never once in my life heard anyone have any conversation with a straight face about the Baron Corbin and Kalisto feud. After tonight, I’m guessing that feud will continue to provide bathroom breaks for the viewers of Smackdown. On a positive note, I’m glad the Cruiserweight division will be remaining on Raw. Raw has literally done nothing with the division and haven’t given them the possibility to succeed on Monday nights. Having said that, I think it would be ridiculous to add an additional division to Smackdown given that it is only a two hour program. Hopefully, Raw will start giving the Cruiserweights more time and actually develop some of their characters. I’m not holding my breath that any of that will happen.

Team Raw (Kevin Owens, Chris Jericho, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins & Braun Strowman) vs Team Smackdown (AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt & Shane McMahon)

After about 15 minutes of entrances the match finally started. Owens and Styles started off in the ring. The crowd started chanting “stupid idiot!” and Owens tagged in Jericho. Owens then gave Jericho a hug as he entered the ring.

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose were tagged in. They went back and forth and Jericho tagged himself in. Jericho shouted that Ambrose owed him 15 grand. Ambrose responded by beating down Jericho. Shane McMahon was tagged in and Jericho rolled out of the ring. Jericho rolled back in the ring and was greeted with an elbow to the face by Shane. The crowd started to chant “you still got it” and Jericho fought back and landed a Dropkick.

Roman Reigns was tagged in and he continued to dominate Shane McMahon. Rollins then got into the match and applied a Chin Lock to Shane. Owens and Ambrose were then tagged into the match. Owens went for a Cannonball but Ambrose powered out of the corner and connected with a Clothesline. Everything broke down and every one got into the ring. Everyone started to trade punches and a bunch of Superstars were tossed out of the ring.

Ambrose launched himself outside the ring onto Strowman but Braun caught him. Styles then hit a Phenomenal Forearm onto Strowman while he was holding Ambrose. Kevin Owens climbed to the top rope and hit a Cannonball onto everyone. Shane McMahon then went to the top rope but Strowman caught him. Ambrose and Styles then teamed up on Strowman. Shane McMahon then Clotheslined Strowman out of the ring.

Ambrose hit Rollins with a Clothesline and Styles connected with a Pele Kick on Reigns. Styles and Ambrose then began to fight and Shane tried to break it up. Styles then leveled Ambrose from behind. Strowman then hit a Running Powerslam on Ambrose and he was eliminated. Styles didn’t even attempt to break up the pinfall.

Shane McMahon and Styles were then in the ring. Strowman beat Shane down in the corner. Styles went for the Phenomenal Forearm but Strowman launched him out of the ring. Orton went for the RKO but Strowman leveled him. Bray Wyatt then tried to convince Strowman to attack Jericho. Strowman didn’t listen and attacked Bray.

Strowman was setting up Wyatt to hit an RKO through a table when Orton hit an RKO out of nowhere. Orton and Bray held Strowman on a table and Shane McMahon climbed to the top rope. Shane hit an Elbow Drop on Strowman from the top rope through the announcer’s table. Reigns and Rollins then attacked Orton and Wyatt. The referee then counted out Braun Strowman. Braun couldn’t get back in the ring because Ellsworth was under the ring and grabbed his leg. The crowd started to chant Ellsworth as Strowman attacked him on the entrance ramp. Strowman then threw Ellsworth off of the stage and through a table.

Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon were in the ring. Owens hit a Senton on Shane and then mocked him by dancing around the ring. Owens then tagged in Jericho and he continued to beat down Shane. Jericho hit a Codebreaker on Shane and then another one on Randy Orton. Jericho then went for the pin but Shane kicked out at two. Jericho then tagged in Seth Rollins. Rollins continued the assault and then tagged back in Jericho. Finally, Shane McMahon was able to tag in AJ Styles.

Jericho went for the Walls of Jericho but Styles reversed it into the Calf Crusher. Jericho broke the hold and once again went for the Walls of Jericho but Styles reversed it into a roll-up. Jericho kicked out and Owens ran into the ring and hit Styles with the list of Jericho. Owens then hit the Pop-Up Powerbomb while the referee was telling him to leave the ring. The referee then disqualified Kevin Owens from the match.

Jericho’s list was scattered around the ring and Jericho was upset. Orton then hit a RKO on Jericho and he was eliminated. Apparently, Jericho was more concerned about his list than the match. The announcers then played up this fact and that it may cause a divide between Jericho and Owens. Team Raw was now down to Reigns and Rollins.

Reigns got in the ring and the Toronto crowd greeted him with a universal “boo!”. Reigns hit a couple of Samoan Drops and the crowd booed louder. Reigns went for a Superman Punch but Styles caught him with a kick. Shane McMahon was then tagged in. Shane hit a DDT on Reigns and followed it up by hitting a Clothesline on Rollins. Shane then set up Reigns in the corner and went to go for the Dropkick from the corner. Reigns hit a Spear on Shane to eliminate him. Shane hit his head very hard off of the mat.

Styles and Rollins were in the ring and the crowd started to chant “Roman’s sleeping!”. They then started to chant “wake up Roman!”. Rollins hit a Superplex on Styles and then connected with a Falcon Arrow. Orton and Reigns fought outside the ring. Dean Ambrose emerged from backstage and attacked AJ Styles. The crowd started to chant “stupid idiot” at Ambrose. Reigns, Rollins and Ambrose then Powerbombed Styles through the announce table. Rollins then rolled Styles into the ring and pinned him.

It was now down to Rollins and Reigns for Team Raw and Wyatt and Orton for Team Smackdown. Luke Harper then appeared from out of nowhere. Wyatt, Harper and Orton then attacked Rollins and Reigns. Harper laid out Reigns outside the ring. Rollins then dove onto Harper. Back in the ring, Rollins was battling with Orton and Wyatt. Rollins went for a Frog Splash but Orton caught him with an RKO. Wyatt then pinned Rollins and eliminated him.

It was down to Roman Reigns and the crowd started to cheer “lets go Smackdown!”. Reigns hit a Superman Punch to Orton on the ring apron. Reigns then sent Orton into the steps outside the ring. Reigns then sent Bray Wyatt into the barricade outside the ring. Reigns then hit a Spear on Harper outside the ring. Wyatt went for a Sister Abigail but Reigns blocked it and hit a Superman Punch. Reigns went for a Spear on Bray but Orton jumped in the way. Reigns connected with the Spear on Orton but Wyatt hit the Sister Abigail on Reigns for the victory. JBL then shouted “Raw wins!” into the microphone even though Smackdown won the match. Incredible.

Winners: Team Smackdown (AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt & Shane McMahon)

Reaction: Clearly the match of the night so far. It was a very long match but held my attention the entire time. Styles and Ambrose were arguing earlier in the night and have had a feud going on pretty much since the draft. It makes sense that they wouldn’t work together in this match. It was cool to see the Shield reunite for a moment and deliver the Powerbomb to Styles through the table. I thought the finish to this match was very good as well. A lot of people, including myself, thought that Orton joining the Wyatt family was just another mind game by Orton. That doesn’t appear to be the case anymore. The only thing that annoyed me in this match was the stupid list stuff. Owens got disqualified for using the list as a weapon and Jericho got eliminated because he was obsessed with collecting the scattered pages around the ring. I just thought that was the low-point of the match. The list is amusing but I don’t think it needs to be a focal point during a Survivor Series match.

Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar

Lesnar started out this match on the attack but Goldberg sent him to the mat. Goldberg then hit two Spears on Lesnar. Goldberg then hit a Jackhammer on Lesnar and won the match.

Winner: Goldberg

Reaction: Thank goodness Survivor Series started an hour early, huh? Survivor Series went off air 30 minutes before it should have. The main event was two Spears and a Jackhammer. Goldberg hasn’t been in a match for 12 years and he destroyed Brock Lesnar in an under a minute. Seriously, I am speechless at how dumb this was. The main event turned out to be a bogus match that will create a bunch of headlines. In the end, it wasn’t even a match. It was a waste of everyone’s time. Survivor Series had a couple of good matches tonight but the WWE continues to insult their fanbase by putting on lackluster shows. I thought SummerSlam was as bad as it could get, tonight takes the cake. This was just embarrassing in my opinion. Thank you for your 9.99 a month subscription to the WWE Network. Here is a two minute main-event that sucks. I cannot wait to see the 20 minute promo tomorrow night on Raw that discusses this garbage match.

What did you think of Survivor Series? There were a couple of good matches but the main event was laughable. Let us know in the comments below.

Finn Balor Appears At ICW Event, Attacks Drew Galloway (Video)

Finn Balor appeared at tonight’s ICW Fear & Loathing IX event in Glasgow and stopped Drew Galloway from helping his The Black Label team defeat Team Dallas in a match for the control of the promotion.

Video of the angle can be seen below. Balor also did an in-ring promo earlier in the show but that did not air on the iPPV portion of the show. The attack on Galloway did air, which is very interesting.

Balor is currently away from WWE TV with a shoulder injury and is not expected back until late January at the earliest. As noted, he was sent to the ICW event because RAW GM Mick Foley had to back out to attend WWE Survivor Series.

WWE Survivor Series 2016 Results & Discussion (11/20)

WWE Survivor Series 2016 airs live tonight from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

5-on-5 Women’s Elimination Match: Team RAW (Sasha Banks, Alicia Fox, Nia Jax, Bayley, Charlotte Flair) vs. Team SmackDown (Nikki Bella, Carmella, Becky Lynch, Alexa Bliss, Naomi): Before the match, we see Nikki Bella on the ground backstage complaining that her head hurts. Natalya will be replacing Nikki in this elimination match. Alicia and Carmella trade offense to start off the match. Carmella hits the bronco buster in the corner, then Becky and Bayley tag in. Charlotte tags herself in before they can lock up, and Charlotte squares off with Bayley. Sasha then tags herself in, and Team RAW starts fighting with each other until the aprons clear. The first elimination comes when Alicia Fox hits the axe kick on Carmella for the pinfall, and the second elimination comes shortly after when Alexa Bliss takes out Alicia. Naomi hits a suicide dive off the top rope onto Nia all the way on the floor, but Nia comes back shortly after by slamming Naomi into the ring post. Naomi remains unconscious at ringside for the referee’s full 10 count, and she’s eliminated. Back in the ring, Sasha hits the double knees twice on Natalya. Sasha goes for the Backstabber but Alexa breaks it up. Natalya rolls up Sasha from behind while she’s distracted by Alexa and scores the three count on her. Sasha is now eliminated. Charlotte comes in next and Natalya drops her with a sitout powerbomb. Natalya gets her in the Sharpshooter, but Charlotte is able to reach the ropes with the help of Dana. Charlotte comes back with a big boot on Natalya for the three count, and Natalya is eliminated. Becky and Alexa try to double team Nia with a vertical suplex, but Nia reverses it into a double suplex on both of them. Nia picks up Alexa, and Becky comes off the top rope with a dropkick that drops them. Becky gets Nia in the Dis-arm-her for the elimination. After Nia is eliminated, she beats down Becky at ringside. Charlotte drops Alexa with a big boot and eliminates her. It’s down to Charlotte and Bayley vs. Becky Lynch. Becky hits a running forearm in the corner on Charlotte and follows up with a t-bone suplex. Becky goes to the top rope and hits a flying leg drop. Becky pins Charlotte, but Bayley breaks up the pin. Bayley tags in and starts trading elbow shots with Becky. Becky gets a pumphandle suplex, but she misses her next leg drop. Bayley comes back with a clothesline and a vertical suplex.
