John Cena References The Undertaker’s Pre-WWE History With Rare Photo

Last night on Raw, John Cena demanded a response from The Undertaker following his highly personal WrestleMania challenge last week. Cena didn’t get it, but he did get one from Undertaker’s brother, Kane, who dropped him with the Chokeslam.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oixChs-kT4&w=560&h=315]

Over on Instagram, Cena today posted a rare photo of The Undertaker before he became “The Deadman.” The image itself notes his wrestling debut in 1984 for World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) under the ring name Texas Red.

Cena didn’t write a caption for the photo, as is always the case with his Instagram page. His account’s description states, “These images will be posted without explanation, for your interpretation.”

https://instagram.com/p/BgjQDwPgSnk/

The Undertaker is actually not Texas Red in the photo since he wore a mask for that persona. Here is footage of his first-ever wrestling match, which was against Bruiser Brody.

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0lRWx3NMTg&w=560&h=315]

You can also see his debut match on the WWE Network in the Vault section on an episode of WCCW dated July 11, 1987. His manager on that night is Percival Pringle III, who would go on to be his manager in WWE, Paul Bearer.

The photo Cena posted is from The Undertaker’s time in WCW under the name “Mean” Mark Callous. He grew his hair out by the end of his run with the promotion in 1990 and wore black and dark red attire with a single glove (as also seen in the video below from August 1990).

While The Undertaker’s pre-WWE history has yet to be referenced in company storylines, it was acknowledged in a 2000 VHS/DVD release highlighting his WWE career up until he became the “American Bad Ass.” There is a chapter on his run in WCW, with The Undertaker, Paul Heyman, and Jim Ross talking about that time in his career.

WWE SmackDown Live Results & Discussion (3/20)

The March 20th, 2018 edition of WWE Smackdown Live took place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

– SmackDown opens up with a video montage looking back at Daniel Bryan’s retirement.

– SmackDown GM Daniel Bryan comes down to the ring and gets on the mic. Daniel says since Shane was seriously hurt last night, he needs to address Shane’s attackers, but they’re not at the building yet. He says since he can’t talk to them, he’ll talk about something else. He talks about being forced into retirement due to medical issues, and how it caused him to be depressed and forced him to look at the positive things in life. He talks about his great fans and great wife, and his wife encouraging him to fight to get back in the ring. He talks about the doctors clearing him to compete in a WWE ring again, and he thanks the fans for always supporting him and being the best fans in world. He talks about his road to being medically cleared, and thanks his wife for pushing him to see specialists. Bryan says he doesn’t know when he’ll be getting back in the WWE ring, but he is medically cleared to do so. The crowd starts chanting “WrestleMania” and he looks up at the sign. He asks the fans if they think that would be a good idea, which prompts a “yes” chant.

– Daniel Bryan heads backstage and is greeted in the hallway by senior official Charles Robinson who congratulates him. Dolph Ziggler approaches Bryan next and congratulates him, then says he can’t wait to beat him. Bryan says he can try, and Ziggler walks off.

Rusev vs. Shinsuke Nakamura: WWE Champion AJ Styles is at ringside for a closer look at this one, and Aiden English is at ringside in Rusev’s corner. The opening bell sounds and Rusev wrestles Nakamura down to the mat early on. Nakamura gets up and starts firing off with kicks. Rusev throws Nakamura into the corner and pummels on him, then hits a boot to the face for a two count. Nakamura comes back with strikes and then starts working over Rusev in the corner. He hits a variation of the Good Vibrations in the corner, but Rusev is able to fight back and level Nakamura with a shot to the face for a two count. Rusev looks for the big boot, but Nakamura ducks. Rusev ducks a kick from Nakamura, but then Nakamura latches on to him and looks for an arm bar. Rusev breaks free, but Nakamura rolls him up in a small package pin for the three count.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

– After the match, Aiden English attacks Nakamura from behind. English and Rusev go to double team Nakamura, and AJ very slowly starts to get up and looks like he’s going to help. Before AJ gets in the ring, Nakamura is able to fight off Rusev and English by himself. AJ and Nakamura have a brief stare-down before leaving.

– Natalya confronts Charlotte Flair backstage and says she knows Flair is scared of Asuka. She says Charlotte’s time is coming to an end, and Charlotte tells Natalya to lay off the cat nip. Charlotte says she’s excited about facing Asuka. Natalya is still mad about Asuka taking “her” WrestleMania spot. Natalya says she’s the one who would beat Charlotte at WrestleMania, and Charlotte tells her to prove it.

– Shinsuke Nakamura confronts AJ Styles in the back. They have a brief exchange, which ends with Nakamura telling AJ again that he’s going to beat him with a knee to the face at WrestleMania.

Baron Corbin vs. Tye Dillinger: It’s all Corbin in the opening moments of this one. Corbin runs around the ring post and looks for a lariat, but Dillinger shuts him down with a boot to the face. They brawl to the outside, where Tye hits him with another kick. Back in the ring, Corbin comes back and looks for the End of Days but he botches it. He holds Tye in the front face lock, then throws him outside. He throws Tye back in the ring, then successfully hits the End of Days for the win.

Winner: Baron Corbin

– WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair is out to the ring next. The broadcast team informs us that Daniel Bryan booked her in a non-title match against Natalya tonight.

Charlotte vs. Natalya: Charlotte starts off strong here and hits a series of headscissor take downs on Natalya. Natalya fires up and looks for the back slide pin, but Charlotte escapes and hits a big boot. Both women are slow to get up, and Natalya gets on the offensive first. Natalya works over Charlotte in the corner, but Charlotte starts firing up and hitting some chops to the chest. They fight over to the corner where Charlotte hits a vertical suplex. Charlotte goes to pick up Natalya, but Natalya drops her face-first into the turnbuckle. They scramble across the ring and Charlotte slams Natalya into the turnbuckles. Charlotte goes up top, but Natalya hops up and grabs her, and hits a sit-down powerbomb on the Champion. Both women are slow to get up, and Natalya hits a spinning lariat for a two count. Charlotte comes back with an inside cradle for a two count. Charlotte looks for the Figure Four, but Natalya kicks her away and throws her outside. Natalya follows her out to ringside, but Charlotte drops her with a spear and throws her back in the ring. Charlotte goes for the Figure Four, but Natalya rolls over to the ropes to break the hold. Charlotte goes up top, but Natalya runs up and hits a superplex. Carmella’s music hits, and Carmella wants to cash in her Money In The Bank briefcase. Carmella runs in the ring, but Charlotte drops her with a big boot. Natalya capitalizes on the distraction with a roll-up for the three count.

Winner: Natalya

– The broadcast teams shows us some headlines about Daniel Bryan being cleared to wrestle again.

– The Usos come out to the ring and cut a promo about holding it down for the tag team division. They talk about still having their Tag Team Titles, and being in the best damn tag team in WWE. They say it doesn’t matter if they’re at 100% or 20% health, they’re ready to go to war with the Bludgeon Brothers.

Jimmy Uso vs. Luke Harper: Jey Uso and Eric Rowan are at ringside for this one. Jimmy starts off fired up here but Harper takes control early on. They brawl at ringside, where Uso sends Harper into the apron. Uso runs back in the ring for a suicide dive, but Rowan appears on the apron and distracts him. Uso turns around into Harper and they start going at it again. Rowan tries to get back in the ring, and the referee stops him. Jey takes advantage of the distraction to superkick Harper behind the ref’s back. Jimmy isn’t able to capitalize on it with a pin. Jimmy and Harper fight in the corner which leads to Uso’s head getting slammed on the ring post. Harper follows up with a big clothesline for the three count.

Winner: Luke Harper

– Jey pulls Jimmy to safety after the match as Rowan gets in the ring. Corey Graves announces that Jinder has been added to the U.S. Title match at WrestleMania with Bobby Roode and Randy Orton.

– Jinder Mahal and Sunil Singh are backstage heading towards the gorilla position.

– Jinder and Sunil are in the ring, and Jinder has a mic. He talks about how everyone there is jealous of him, and should be bowing down to him. He says the people claim to want change and diversity, but they also want to keep the status quo with people like Randy Orton. Jinder trashes the American fans until Bobby Roode’s music hits and he interrupts. Roode walks down to the ring, and then Randy Orton interrupts next. Orton says if not for Jinder’s lackeys, he wouldn’t have any success in WWE. Jinder throws Sunil to Orton as a human shield, and leaves the ring.

– Naomi and Becky Lynch are backstage getting ready to come out for their match against the Riott Squad.

Naomi & Becky Lynch vs. Sarah Logan & Liv Morgan: Ruby Riott is at ringside. Things look good for Becky and Naomi in the opening moments as they trade tags and take control of the match. Becky misses a shot in the corner and goes face-first into the middle turnbuckle. Sarah Logan hits a shot to the face of Becky, then puts her in a head lock on the mat. Becky fights out, but Logan slams her back down. Becky gets up and throws Sarah to the outside. Becky looks for the tag, but Sarah runs back in and knocks Naomi off the apron. Sarah goes back to work on Becky, but Becky grabs her and locks her in the Dis-arm-her. Liv runs in for the save, but Naomi also runs in and stops her. Logan taps out for the finish.

Winners: Naomi & Becky Lynch

– We go backstage, where Daniel Bryan is told by a staff member that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have finally arrived. Bryan tells him to have Owens and Zayn meet him in the ring.

– Daniel Bryan comes out to the ring and leads the crowd in a “yes” chant. Bryan gets on the mic and tells Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to come down to the ring. They walk down and hug Bryan. Owens gets on the mic and says they weren’t even going to come tonight, since Shane isn’t here, but they raced over here when they heard the news about Bryan being cleared. They say they got pulled over by a Texas ranger for speeding, but they talked their way out of it because “everyone’s dumber in Texas.” They congratulate Bryan on his medical clearance, and they thank Bryan for treating them fairly when everyone else on SmackDown hated them. Sami says SmackDown is now without a doubt the “A-show” with the three of them on it, and if Bryan joined them it would be like a dream team. Bryan says that’s nice, but the real reason he brought them down here is because of their assault on Shane McMahon last week. Sami says it might have looked extreme, but Shane deserved it. Bryan says they don’t get it — this is a big deal. Bryan says that while Owens and Zayn are two of the best performers in this generation, they went way overboard last week by assaulting their boss. Bryan says Shane even admitted he was wrong and gave them WrestleMania matches, and they still attacked them. Bryan reminisces about them wrestling on the indy scene together in front of 300 people. Bryan says he doesn’t want to have to do this — but Sami and Kevin, you’re fired. Bryan says he’s been fired by WWE before, and he came back a better person. Sami and Kevin look heartbroken. Bryan says this doesn’t mean they’re gone forever, it just means they’re gone for now. Bryan shakes their hands, and then Kevin attacks Daniel and screams at him. Sami then starts pummeling on Bryan with right hands. Bryan starts fighting back and hits some kicks on Owens and a suplex on Sami. He hits running dropkicks on them, then hits the “yes kicks” on Owens. Sami runs over from behind and attacks the SmackDown GM from behind and pounds on his head. Owens then superkicks Bryan, and Sami hits the big boot. They take Bryan out to ringside and Owens powerbombs him onto the corner of the ring apron. Sami and Owens walk off as medics start putting Bryan on to a stretcher. Bryan is loaded on to a stretcher as SmackDown goes off the air.

Paul Heyman Responds To UFC Star Calling Out Brock Lesnar (Video)

Earlier this week, UFC heavyweight slugger Francis Ngannou called out WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar for a fight inside the Octagon.

TMZ Sports caught up with Lesnar’s WWE advocate, Paul Heyman, to get his thoughts on Ngannou – and others, like Olympic gold medalist Kyle Snyder – calling out his client.

Heyman says he’s not surprised that so many people are coming out of the woodwork and throwing Brock Lesnar’s name around. It’s WrestleMania season and Brock Lesnar is the biggest box office attraction in all of professional sports. It’s one thing to throw out empty challenges – it’s another thing to actually stand toe-to-toe with The Beast.

Fans saw on RAW what happened to Roman Reigns when he got too close to Lesnar – and Francis Ngannou wouldn’t fare any better than Reigns did.

You can check out Heyman’s awesome promo below. Visit MMANews.com for read what Francis Ngannou had to say about WWE’s Beast Incarnate.

Daniel Bryan Comments On His In-Ring Return

On Tuesday, WWE sent shockwaves throughout the wrestling world by announcing Daniel Bryan has been medically cleared to return to action.

Bryan has been on the sidelines since his last match nearly three years ago. He’s served as the General Man ager as SmackDown Live since July 2016, but has been campaigning for a return to the ring ever since.

In his first statement since the news of his return broke, Bryan acknowledged the people in his live who never gave up on him or his dream to wrestle once again

Bryan will open tonight’s SmackDown Live to address his return and perhaps his role at WrestleMania. Based on the past several months of SmackDown storylines, there’s a good chance we’ll see Daniel Bryan teaming with Shane McMahon against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in less than three weeks in New Orleans.

– As noted on last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW by General Manager Kurt Angle, RAW Women’ Champion Alexa Bliss will defend her title against Nia Jax at WrestleMania 34. The ex-best friends took to Twitter to hype their upcoming bout in New Orleans:

– WWE posted a video of Seth Rollins doing an interview with Mike Rome after saving Finn Balor from The Miztourage on RAW. Rollins will challenge Balor and Intercontinental Champion The Miz for the strap in a Triple Threat match at WrestleMania. Rollins says Balor owes him one and also said he wants a rematch with Balor before WrestleMania:

Update On Big Cass Being Backstage At RAW, Sasha Banks Addresses Bayley Situation

– Injured WWE Superstar Big Cass was backstage at last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW and was reportedly telling people he had been cleared to return, per a report from PWInsider. Cass has been out-of-action since August of last year when he suffered a torn ACL during a match with Enzo Amore. He required surgery to fix the injury and has been rehabbing ever since.

Cass was expected to return around May, meaning he’d be out of the question for a possible WrestleMania 34 appearance. He has been back training in the WWE Performance Center since mid-February. The initial word backstage around RAW was that Cass was in the final stages of his recovery and could be returning to RAW storylines soon.

– Tension between Sasha Banks and Bayley continues to boil over on Monday Night RAW, as rumors of a possible match between the pair at WrestleMania 34 swirl around. It’s expected that both women will instead be involved in the first-ever Women’s WrestleMania Battle Royal.

Banks and Bayley got into an argument in the middle of their tag team match against Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, leading to them suffering a loss. Banks took to Twitter to comment on the situation:

Finn Balor Reacts To Miz’s “Prince Nevitt” Name Drop, Roman Reigns’ Wrists Scarred & Bruised (Photo)

– WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz used Finn Balor and Seth Rollins’ old indy names (Prince Devitt and Tyler Black) on Monday Night RAW last night during a promo. Miz mispronounced Balor’s indy name, however, calling him Prince “Nevitt” instead. Balor responded to Miz’s mispronunciation on Twitter:

– RAW opened up yesterday with Roman Reigns being handcuffed by US Marshals before taking a savage beating from Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. When Reigns was put up on the stretcher and escorted out of the arena, WWE snapped a photo that caught “The Big Dog’s” wrists bruised and scarred after the segment. Check it out:

Matt Hardy Already Campaigning For Another Ultimate Deletion, Responds To Michael Cole

Last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW ended with WWE showing The Ultimate Deletion between “Woken” Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt at the Hardy Family Compound. The segment received positive reviews from the professional wrestling world on Twitter, and Hardy noted himself in a Tweet that the Ultimate Deletion was trending #1 worldwide:

He also asked fans to retweet his Tweet if they wanted to see another Ultimate Deletion with names like Michael Cole, Roman Reigns, or Vince McMahon:

Hardy also responded to Michael Cole’s negativity before the segment aired. Cole apologized for the “obnoxious and surreal” segment WWE fans were about to witness. Hardy responded to Cole’s comments in a later Tweet:

WWE Clears Daniel Bryan To Return To Action

After more than two years out of action, WWE announced on Tuesday that SmackDown Live General Manager Daniel Bryan has been medically cleared to wrestle again.

Bryan underwent extensive testing by leading neurosurgeons, neurologists and concussion experts, including Dr. Robert Cantu, Dr. Javier Cárdenas and Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher. According to WWE.com, “Bryan underwent a full review of his medical history and received comprehensive neurological and physical evaluations independent of WWE. He was cleared by each doctor as well as WWE’s Medical Director, Dr. Joseph Maroon.”

Bryan retired from in-ring competition back in February of 2016 after several concussion-related injuries throughout his career.

In recent months, Bryan made it clear he intended to wrestle again – whether it was in WWE or elsewhere. Thankfully for the WWE Universe, he’ll be back in a WWE ring very soon – almost certainly at WrestleMania. WWE noted, “It’s possible he teams up with Shane McMahon against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a Tag Team match.”

As you can imagine, fans on social media lost their minds over the news that Daniel Bryan will be back in action. He was trending worldwide within minutes of the announcement.

It didn’t take long for Shinsuke Nakamura to realize this means we could very well see a Nakamura vs. Bryan match in WWE in the coming months.

AJ Styles Addresses If He’ll Miss WrestleMania Due To Injury

WWE Champion AJ Styles took part in a conference call with international media on Tuesday to promote WrestleMania and addressed his status for the show in light of his undisclosed injury.

To recap, WWE ran an injury angle at Friday’s live event from Madison Square Garden that saw Styles pulled from action. Styles was left off SmackDown live events on Saturday, Sunday and Monday – and was scheduled to be evaluated by WWE doctors backstage at RAW.

When asked on the conference call about his status for WrestleMania, Styles made it clear that his WWE Championship defense against Shinsuke Nakamura will take place as scheduled. Styles stated bluntly,

“If my leg got cut off, I’d find a way to make it to WrestleMania.”

Styles added, “I will be wrestling Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania. Don’t worry about it, it will be fine.

The WWE Champion was reportedly set to met with WWE doctors backstage at Monday’s RAW. No word yet on how that evaluation went, but it seems like the Styles vs. Nakamura dream match is safe.

The Ultimate Deletion Edited Off Hulu-Edition of Raw, Hulu Comments

Some fans who follow Monday Night Raw by watching the 90-minute version shown on Hulu are upset today. The Ultimate Deletion match was not featured in the Hulu version of the show this week.

Fans took to Twitter to ask Hulu why the main event of Raw didn’t make the cut for their edition. According to Hulu, they have no say in which parts of the show are edited out.

Upset fans are getting similar responses from Hulu on Twitter:

The Ultimate Deletion on Hulu

For the most part, fans tend to be in favor of the shorter versions of Raw which air on Hulu but missing the Ultimate Deletion have left some feeling dissapointed today.

Hulu first entered into a partnership with WWE in 2012.

Speculation On Bray Wyatt Being Repackaged After Ultimate Deletion

Last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW closed out with the Ultimate Deletion between Bray Wyatt and “Woken” Matt Hardy at the Hardy Family Compound. Hardy won the match and threw Wyatt into the Lake Of Reincarnation. Senor Benjamin searched for Wyatt’s body in the lake after he fell in but was unable to find him. Hardy celebrated his Deletion of Wyatt to close out the show.

After the match on Twitter the professional wrestling world began to speculate that this could be a sign WWE is getting ready to repackage Wyatt and the Ultimate Deletion was a way of writing his old persona off WWE TV. Speculation ran rampant as to what WWE could be planing; with some claiming it could mark the return of Husky Harris, while others believe Wyatt could come back as Sister Abigail.

Dave Meltzer even commented on the speculation during the latest installment of Wrestling Observer Radio, saying that it also seems apparent to him WWE could be repackaging Wyatt after the Ultimate Deletion segment. He noted that the Wyatt character had run its course some time ago and hopes to see something completely different when he’s brought back.

Discussion: What do you think WWE’s plans are for Wyatt after The Ultimate Deletion? Do you think WWE is actually going to repackage him? And if so, how would you like to see him return and with what character?

Update On WWE’s Plans For Asuka’s Streak

Asuka has gone undefeated in WWE competition for about two years now, and the company plans on keeping that streak going for the time being. “The Empress Of Tomorrow” won the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble this past January and recently selected to challenge SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair in New Orleans despite being a RAW Superstar.

This leaves RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss to defend her strap against Nia Jax. Also on the WrestleMania card will be the in-ring debut of former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, as she teams with WWE Hall Of Famer and Monday Night RAW General Manager Kurt Angle against Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. WrestlingNews.co is reporting that WWE has big plans for Rousey and Asuka within the next year. It’s expected that Asuka’s streak will continue on at WrestleMania when she defeats Flair for the SmackDown Live Women’s Title.

Asuka’s streak will be kept alive for the next year leading into WrestleMania 35 in NJ/NY, where Ronda Rousey will challenge the Japanese star. If Rousey is able to be kept ‘special’ by WWE, and Asuka continues to be protected, Rousey vs. Asuka could be the first Women’s match to main event a WrestleMania in WWE history. It was also noted that the match could happen at SummerSlam, however, it would make much more sense as a WrestleMania “dream match.”

Kane Reveals His Reaction When Vince McMahon Pitched Isaac Yankem Gimmick

Former WWE Champion Kane recently appeared on Talk is Jericho (transcript courtesy of Wrestlinginc.com) to talk about various topics.

Kane started his pro wrestling career in 1992. He wrestled in promotions such as Smoky Mountain Wrestling and the United States Wrestling Association before joining the WWE in 1995. Following his debut as Kane in 1997, he remained a component of the company’s Attitude Era of the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Before he became “The Big Red Machine,” he was given a unique gimmick by WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. During this podcast, he was asked about his reaction when Vince McMahon pitched Isaac Yankem gimmick.

“Jim Ross, who is another guy I need to give a shout out too. He was doing Smokey Mountain Wrestling and he was the one that gave me a tryout too with WWE. I got a contract shortly after that. Vince McMahon wanted to meet me in his office. JJ Dillon was still Head of Creative back then. I get into his office and Vince McMahon walks in and asks me if I have ever been afraid to go to the dentist. I said, no, I wasn’t. I thought Vince was just trying to get into my head. He said that he always had this idea for a character,” Jacobs said. “A wrestling dentist; Isaac Yankem. He said that he thinks that I would be perfect for it. Here I am sitting across from the most powerful man in my industry, and I am trying to keep a poker-face; meanwhile, I am going, dude, you flew me in all the way from Knoxville, Tennessee just to tell me that you are going to make me a wrestling dentist? I flew back home, but really in the end the thing was on me. That wasn’t a character that I could invest in, and I didn’t. It was my fault. My teeth were painted. It tasted terrible. Vince McMahon thought it was ironic that his Dentist had bad teeth. My entrance music was dental drill.”

Once WWE Hall of Famers Kevin Nash and Scott Hall went to WCW in 1996, WWE officials came up with an idea of having a fake Diesel and Razor Ramon. WWE wanted Kane to portray Diesel, which is a character that Nash portrayed under the WWE banner.

“I think we were in South Africa, and I remember Gerald Brisco telling me that Vince McMahon wanted to talk to me when we got home. I think they were already throwing some seeds regarding the character. I was told that I was going to be the imitation of Diesel. Jim Ross, who is beloved by everybody, was going to be the heel manager,” Jacobs said. “The concept behind it was that Jim Ross was ticked off and he was going to destroy WWE by proving he can bring guys back. So, he brought me and Fake Razor Ramon [Rick Titan]. Meanwhile, I am thinking that this is a step up from my previous character. It just did not work. The concept was good. People just can’t dislike JR so that didn’t work, and he was the linchpin throughout the whole thing so it just fell apart.”

Kane, who is a longtime supporter of libertarian political causes, announced his intention to run for the office of mayor of Knox County, Tennessee in 2017.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider has provided some backstage news and notes. Wyatt and Matt were both backstage at the TV event when the match aired.

Matt’s wife, Rebecca, filmed and edited a bunch of footage for the match herself. She also helped compose some of the original music.

    • Carmella defeated Namoi last week on Smackdown and on Fastlane her and Natalya defeated Becky Lynch and Naomi. Ms Money in the Bank could be on the verge of a hot streak.
    • Other members of the division, such as the Riott Squad, may have something to say regarding the upcoming Women’s WrestleMania Battle Royal.
  • The Bludgeon Brothers Put the Tag-Team Division on Notice

    • Since Fastlane, the Bludgeon Brothers have put the whole tag-team division on notice but specifically the Usos and the New Day.
    • Last week, only Big E and Jimmy Uso were cleared to compete from their teams. We’ll see if any other members of the New Day or Usos are available to fend off the Bludgeon Brothers this week.
  • AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura

    • Nakamura saved Styles from a beatdown by Rusev and Aiden English last week. The two babyface WrestleMania opponents might find themselves watching each other’s backs until April 8th.
    • There are also rumors AJ Styles is dealing with an injury suffered at a house show over the weekend. PW Insider is reporting WWE plans to evaluate Styles at today’s show.

WWE Mixed Match Challenge

Tonight on the Mixed Match Challenge, one team will have a chance to qualify for the tournament finals.

Asuka’s streak isn’t technically on the line in this tournament as she has lost a tag-team match in WWE before. Asuka and Sonya Deville lost to Nia Jax and Lana on an NXT house show in 2016. Other than that, Asuka is 70-1 in WWE tag-team matches.

  • Miz & Asuka vs Alexa Bliss & Braun Strowman

205 Live

The final semi-final match in the cruiserweight championship tournament takes place tonight. Drew Gulak will face Mustafa Ali with a spot at WrestleMania on the line. Cedric Alexander defeated Roderick Strong last week to become the first competitor to qualify for the finals.

The Ultimate Deletion: Reactions to Last Night’s Show

Last night, in possibly the most bizarre main event in Monday Night Raw history, Matt Hardy battled Bray Wyatt in an Ultimate Deletion match.

Late last night, Hardy boasted about the success of the match:

Hardy would come out victorious in the match and pushed Bray Wyatt into the Lake of Reincarnation. Now Bray Wyatt has been deleted and the Woken Matt Hardy story moves into a new chapter.

We break down reactions to the Ultimate Deletion match below:

Jeff Hardy DUI & Injury Update

Last night on Raw, Jeff Hardy made a surprise appearance near the end of the Ultimate Deletion match. It is the first time Jeff has been shown on Raw since injuring his shoulder in September. Jeff suffered a torn labrum and a torn rotator cuff.

He was recently cleared to return to action and posted this photo with the physio clinic which helped him rehabilitate his shoulder.

Jeff Hardy’s DUI

There has been some concern amongst fans that Jeff Hardy’s recent DUI charge will impact how WWE uses him moving forward. Jeff is due in court on the charges on April 16th, 2018. According to a report from PW Insider, Jeff caused $5000 in damages to the guardrail he hit and another $8000 in damages to his own vehicle. He also blew 3x over the legal limit on a breathalyzer after the accident.

While there was some concern that Jeff would not appear in the Ultimate Deletion match last night, he was there at the end.

It is possible WWE simply ignores Jeff’s latest DUI charge. That is how the company has handled the recent DUI charge of Jey Uso, who was similarly charged with the offense in January.

WWE released the following statement following Jey Uso’s arrest:

“Joshua Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials.”

WWE released a nearly identical statement for Jeff Hardy:

“Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials.”

WWE took no action in regards to Jey Uso. There is nothing to say that won’t also be the case with Jeff Hardy. It’s also possible WWE takes Hardy’s past substance-abuse issues into consideration though. There is no evidence thus far to say that is how they are handling the situation, however.

The Rock Buys His Dad A New Truck Following Surgery

WWE Hall Of Famer Rocky Johnson has a new hip and a new whip.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took to social media this week to a story about his father recently undergoing hip surgery. Johnson called his son and mentioned his doctor told him he should be driving a bigger car – you know, because of his hip. The Rock took the hint and hooked his dad up with a brand new Cadillac truck.

“We all got daddy issues lol,” wrote The Rock. “My pops just had his hip replaced and called me and said ‘Hey Mr. D the surgeon really feels like I should have a bigger car since my hip rehab..’ I cut my dad off and just started laughing because I knew what he was hustling for.”

Rock continued, “I said ‘say no more..I got you.. just go down and pick out what you want,’ then we hung up and hours later I get this pic. Lol. Hey my old man was a tough MF on me. He’d kick my ass from one side of the gym to the other for years. I hated it when I was a kid, but grateful for it as a man. Im lucky I could do this and thanks for the ass kickins. Thanks Shawn Burnett and Ed Morse Cadillac for handling business for me and finding the gold bow. #MyDoctorSaid #NewHipsAndWhips.”

If the story sounds somewhat familiar,  that’s because The Rock posted a similar photo and story back in December 2016, when he bought his dad a new Ford truck for Christmas.

Ronda Rousey Gets Physical With Dana Brooke At RAW (Video)

WWE has uploaded unseen footage from Monday’s RAW involving Ronda Rousey getting physical with Dana Brooke.

Fans at the arena on Monday night did not see “Woken” Matt Hardy’s Ultimate Deletion. Instead, they got a segment with Elias and after that, Ronda Rousey came out. Rousey was interrupted by Dana Brooke and you can see how that went below.

Rousey is weeks away from her in-ring debut at WrestleMania. The former UFC champion has been training vigorously with WM34 tag team partner ahead of their match against Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

Check out this footage of Rousey making short work of Brooke.

In this moment you didn’t see on Raw, “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey deals with an interruption from Dana Brooke.

7 Takeaways From WWE RAW (3/19)

The March 19th, 2018 episode of WWE RAW aired live from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX. Here are 7 takeaways from this week’s show:

Brock Lesnar Attacked A Defenseless Roman Reigns

RAW GM Kurt Angle came down to the ring and announced that Roman Reigns’ suspension is still in effect and that he is not here tonight. Angle added that Brock Lesnar still hasn’t arrived but assured everyone that the Universal Champion will be here tonight. Angle went to discuss Braun Strowman’s Tag Team Battle Royal victory last week, but Roman Reigns was shown in the crown. Reigns grabbed a microphone and hopped in the ring as Angle stated that he was trespassing.

Roman said that he didn’t care that he was trespassing and added that somebody has to be here to represent the main event of WrestleMania. Angle said that Lesnar will be here but he is running late tonight. Reigns didn’t like that he was suspended for telling the truth. Angle said that he understands that Reigns is upset, but that he needs to be patient and wait three weeks until WrestleMania 34. Roman stated that he still doesn’t care and that he is not leaving the ring until he faces Brock Lesnar tonight.

Reigns grabbed a steel chair and took a seat in the ring. Some “U.S. Marshals” came down tot he ring and handcuffed Roman Reigns after reading him his rights. Reigns started elbowing the U.S. Marshals in the face and stomping on them. Brock Lesnar’s music hit and Lesnar rushed the ring as Reigns was handcuffed. Lesnar hit a German Suplex on Reigns and then beat him down with a steel chair. Paul Heyman held up the Universal Championship as Lesnar hit Roman with another German Suplex.

Brock hit another German Suplex and then hit Roman with the chair one more time before getting out of the ring. Lesnar took off his shirt and rean back into the ring. Lesnar hit Reigns with the chair a couple more times and followed it up with another German Suplex. Lesnar got out of the ring, got back into the ring and planted Reigns with an F-5.

Reigns was loaded onto a stretcher as the crowd chanted “you deserve it!”. Lesnar sprinted back down to the ringside area and shoved the stretcher over.

Opinion: Only two more episodes of RAW until WrestleMania 34. That means there will be roughly 30 minutes more of this hot-garbage storyline that I have to sit through until the PPV. WWE will desperately try to get you to get on Reigns’ side a couple more times before the PPV, in a pathetic attempt to get you to cheer for Reigns when he wins the title.

The match will generate a general boo from the WrestleMania crowd and then Reigns will get booed out of the building after he wins. The following night on RAW, Reigns will once again be booed and WWE’s response to that will be months of boring television with Reigns as the Universal Champion. I’ve just accepted it at this point. I’d like to think that the WWE Championship match will go on last at WrestleMania 34, instead of this tragedy as the main event. However, it would be fitting to hear Michael Cole shouting “THE BIG DOG HAS RECLAIMED HIS YARD!”, or something equally as nauseating as WrestleMania 34 goes off the air.

Kurt Angle Announced That Alexa Bliss Will Defend Her Title Against Nia Jax At WrestleMania 34

RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss came down to the ring with Mickie James. Alexa said that she was joking around with Mickie last week and that it was just “girl talk” when they were insulting Nia Jax. Bliss said “I’m sorry” before adding that she was sorry that she didn’t speak the truth sooner. Alexa noted that she doesn’t feel any remorse for what she said about Nia Jax and that she loved every second of humiliating her. Bliss called Nia dumb for thinking that they were actually friends. Bliss stated that it felt good to drop “300 lbs of sad loser”. Alexa then vowed to end Asuka’s undefeated streak and Asuka came down to the ring.

Bliss controlled the match early and beatdown Asuka in the corner. Alexa threw Asuka out of the ring and then distracted the referee, which allowed Mickie James to connect with a cheap shot. Bliss got out of the ring and bounced Asuka’s face off the ring apron before throwing her back into the ring. Bliss went for the cover but Asuka kicked out at two.

Alexa applied a Chin Lock but Asuka quickly broke the hold. Bliss connected with a Dropkick for a two count and then went right back to the Chin Lock. Asuka battled to her feet and connected with a Hip Attack in the corner. Asuka connected with a knee to the face for a two count. Asuka hopped onto the second rope but Mickie James hopped up on the ring apron and distracted her. Bliss shoved Asuka out of the ring and Mickie once again hit her with a cheap shot.

Back in the ring, Alexa applied the Chin Lock once again in the middle of the ring. Asuka once again broke the hold and threw Bliss to the mat. Alexa battled back and threw Asuka out of the ring as RAW went to a commercial break. When RAW returned, Alexa Bliss was still in control and was setting up to leap off the top rope. Asuka joined Bliss up there and went for a Superplex but Alexa blocked it. Bliss then slammed Asuka to the mat for two. Bliss threw a tantrum and smacked the canvas a few times after Asuka kicked out.

Asuka applied an Ankle Lock to Alexa in the middle of the ring. Alexa crawled to the ropes and Asuka had to break the hold. Alexa grabbed her ankle as the referee started counting. Alexa and Mickie started walking up the entrance ramp and Bliss was counted out. Nia Jax’s music hit and Nia charged down the ramp. Nia leveled Mickie on the entrance ramp and then chased Alexa around the ring. Bliss jumped over the barricade but Nia caught her by the hair. Nia slammed Mickie into the ring post as Alexa Bliss escaped through the crowd. Nia chased after her and the two ran backstage.

A few minutes later on RAW, Kurt Angle was interrupted by Alexa backstage. Bliss demanded that Nia Jax should be arrested. Kurt Angle stumbled ridiculously through his promo before finally gathering himself. Angle stated that the RAW Women’s Champion should be a role model and not a bully. Angle announced that Alexa Bliss will defend her RAW Women’s Championship against Nia Jax at WrestleMania 34.

Opinion: I like this storyline. Nia Jax impressed me a couple of weeks back by conveying real emotion and breaking down after Alexa Bliss pointed out every one of her flaws under the guise of an inspirational speech. I liked Alexa being revealed as a vile person last week when she was unaware that the cameras were rolling. I’m enjoying it and hopefully Nia gets her WrestleMania moment on April 8th. I’m not expecting a five star match or anything like that, I just think this storyline is being executed well. The evidence was in the cheer Nia Jax got when she came down the entrance ramp tonight.

Braun Strowman Will Have To Find A Tag Partner Before WrestleMania 34

Braun Strowman came down to the ring and the crowd greeted him with “get these hands!” chants. Strowman said that he won the RAW Tag Team Battle Royal last week by himself and that now he is going to WrestleMania 34. Braun noted that management informed him that he has to have a partner. Strowman stated that he knows he can win the tag titles by himself, but was interrupted by Sheamus and Cesaro.

Sheamus said that Strowman was out of his mind for thinking that he could beat The Bar by himself. Cesaro said that it takes a long time to form a great team. You have to train together, eat together and sleep together. Strowman and the crowd cracked up when Cesaro said that he sleeps with Sheamus. Sheamus grabbed the microphone and told everyone to grow up and that Cesaro simply meant that they room together. Strowman told them to shut up and announced that RAW GM Kurt Angle told Braun that he has a match against either Sheamus or Cesaro. Strowman asked who wanted to get these hands before throwing the microphone out of the ring.

Both Sheamus and Cesaro hopped up onto the entrance ramp at the same time. Sheamus held back as Cesaro got into the ring. Strowman beat the hell out of Sheamus in the corner before launching him out of the ring as RAW went to a commercial break. When RAW returned, Strowman was still kicking Cesaro’s ass. Strowman slammed Cesaro into the barricade and started chasing after Sheamus. Cesaro tried to jump off the steel steps onto Strowman but Braun caught him and slammed him into the barricade again.

Back in the ring, Strowman charged at Cesaro in the corner but Cesaro dodged it and Braun slammed into the ring post. Cesaro unloaded a flurry of uppercuts. Cesaro connected with an uppercut off the second rope for a two count. Braun connected with a massive right hand and then got out of the ring. Strowman leveled Sheamus with a shoulder tackle and got back into the ring. Cesaro tried to hit a Crossbody off the second rope but Braun was ready and planted him with a Powerslam for the victory.

Bayley & Sasha Banks Couldn’t Get On The Same Page And It Cost Them

Sasha Banks and Bayley teamed up to face Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville. Sasha Banks came down to the entrance ramp with a microphone and said that Bayley was her best friend and that they need to fix their issues. Banks said that Elimination Chamber was every woman for themselves and that she wasn’t to hurt Bayley’s feelings. She was trying to win the RAW Women’s Championship.

Banks brought up Bayley refusing to tag in after Elimination Chamber and then turning her back on her again the following week. Banks said that was two times Bayley left her and then forgave her because she considered Bayley as her sister. Bayley grabbed a microphone and admitted that she was angry following Elimination Chamber and that is why she didn’t tag in. Bayley added that she actually helped Sasha win her match the following week and just took off after the match was over.

Bayley said that she cannot get over what Sasha did to her at the Elimination Chamber. Bayley stated that the glare in Sasha’s eye and the smirk she gave after screwing her over ate at her core. Bayley claimed that she cannot get that picture out of her head and asked Sasha why knocking her off the pod was so easy, like it meant nothing.

Paige’s music hit and Absolution came down to the entrance ramp. Paige called Sasha and Bayley “whiney little girls” and Absolution matched down to the ring. Sasha Banks and Sonya Deville started off the match. Banks slapped Sonya in the face and launched her into the turnbuckle. Deville knocked Bayley off the ring apron and threw Sasha out of the ring as RAW went to a break.

When RAW returned, Mandy Rose had Bayley trapped in a Chin Lock. Bayley broke free and slammed Rose’s head into the turnbuckle. Sasha tagged in and Bayley went for a cover on Rose. Banks shoved Bayley off Mandy and went for the cover. Rose kicked out and knocked Banks to the corner. Deville tagged in and stomped on Banks in the corner of the ring. Sonya slammed Banks to the mat and connected with a knee to her back for a two count.

Mandy Rose tagged back in and locked Banks in the Abdominal Stretch. Deville and Rose took turns beating down Banks in the corner. Sasha broke free and crawled across the ring. Deville grabbed her but Sasha was able to break free and tag in Bayley. Bayley planted Sonya with a Suplex and followed it up with an elbow for a two count. Mandy Rose and Sasha battled in the corner as Bayley rolled up Deville. The referee was distracted by Sasha and Mandy and didn’t see it right away. Bayley got pissed off and got in Sasha’s face and the two started arguing. Deville attacked them both from behind and then booted Bayley in the face for the pinfall victory.

Opinion: I was interested in this storyline for a bit, but I’ve completely lost interest. I want to see Bayley get pissed off during these segments. There is just not nearly energy in these promos to get people invested in my opinion. I don’t even think this is going to wind up leading to a match at WrestleMania 34. Bayley might just eliminate Sasha during the women’s Battle Royal or vice versa.

Kane Chokeslammed John Cena

John Cena stated that as long as there is a WWE, the name Undertaker has meaning. Cena asked the Dallas crowd how they felt about a match between The Undertaker and John Cena. The crowd chanted “yes!” and then Cena asked again and they got even louder. Cena said that The Undertaker’s response to his challenge last week has been silence.

Cena said that is the biggest mistake The Undertaker has ever made. Cena called it disrespectful of The Undertaker to not get off his ass and give a response. John continued and claimed that it was disrespectful to every single fan The Undertaker has. Cena noted that without the fans, there would have been no WrestleMania streak and no Undertaker.

The crowd started to chant “we want Taker!” and Cena held up the microphone. Cena stated that everybody would understand if The Undertaker is retired, but he hasn’t said it yet. Cena added that The Undertaker is not the god that the fans made, he is now the man that he has allowed himself to become and that man is a coward. Cena shouted into the microphone “The Undertaker is a coward” and demanded a response. Cena said that he would settle for a casket rolling down the ramp or some lightning, anything besides The Undertaker sitting there and doing nothing.

The crowd then started to chant “do something!” as Cena stood in the ring. The crowd then went silent and Cena said that was The Undertaker letting everyone down that has ever believed in him. Cena added that The Undertaker is not a god and that he should barely be able to call himself a man right now.

Kane’s music hit and Kane made his way down the entrance ramp. Kane got into the ring as Cena got escited. Cena asked Kane for The Undertaker’s response and tried to hand Kane the microphone. Kane Chokeslammed Cena and exited the ring.

It was later announced that Cena will face Kane next week on RAW.

Opinion: John Cena cut another very good promo tonight and continued to take shots at The Undertaker. I’m guessing that we will see The Undertaker once before WrestleMania 34. There is nothing like a Kane sighting to slow everything down to a halt and ruin whatever momentum there was. It was a complete buzzkill when his theme hit, but other than it was another entertaining promo by Cena.

Seth Rollins Saved Finn Balor

Intercontinental Champion The Miz came down to the ring alongside Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas. The Miz complained about not being on any promotional material for WrestleMania 34 and shouted that he doesn’t get any respect. The Miz bitched about AJ Styles and Brock Lesnar defending their titles in singles matches at WrestleMania.

The Miz stated that he exposed Finn Balor and Seth Rollins last week on Miz TV. The Miz referred to Rollins and Balor as “Tyler Black” and “Prince Devitt” and poked fun at all of their little indie fans. Gallows & Anderson interrupted and came down to the ring. Finn Balor then joined them for a 6-man tag match. Seth Rollins joined commentary for the match.

Finn Balor was trapped in the corner early and The Miz & The Miztourage beat him down. Karl Anderson finally tagged in and beatdown Axel. Anderson knocked Dallas off the ring apron and then connected with a Crossbody on Axel for a two count. The Miz tagged in and planted Anderson with a DDT as RAW went to a break.

When RAW returned, Balor tagged back in and cleaned house. Finn flipped onto Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel outside the ring. Balor threw Bo back into the ring and climbed to the top rope. Axel shoved Balor and he he fell crotch-first onto the top turnbuckle. The Miz tagged in and went for a roll-up but Balor kicked him and The Miz slammed into Axel on the ring apron. Balor rolled up The Miz for the victory.

The Miz and The Miztourage attacked Balor after the match. Dallas and Axel beatdown Gallows & Anderson outside the ring and Rollins came down to the ring. Rollins hit the Curb Stomp onto The Miz and then had a stare down with Balor. Seth told Finn that he owes him one as Rollins’ music hit.

Bray Wyatt Was Deleted

Bray Wyatt arrived at the Hardy Compound for the Great War. Wyatt approached the gates with his lantern and was greeted by Vanguard 1. Matt Hardy’s face appeared on the drown and he informed Wyatt to follow the music.

A piano could be heard in the distance and Bray started walking towards it. Reby Hardy played the piano as Matt Hardy danced along inside a ring. Bray joined Hardy in the ring as Matt shouted “Bray Wyatt, I knew you’d come!”. RAW went to a break as Hardy and Wyatt stared at each other.

When RAW returned, Vanguard 1(drone) was circling the ring as Bray and Matt chuckled. Matt shouted that the time for laughter was over. Vanguard 1 initiated attack mode as Hardy planted Bray with a Russian Leg Sweep for a one count. Matt took off his jacket and shouted “delete!” a few times. Wyatt went for a Sister Abigal but Matt blocked it. Bray leveled Matt with a Clothesline and shouted that he was a god.

Bray said that he forgot to give Matt a housewarming gift and grabbed a chair from under the ring. Bray gave the chair a smooch as Hardy told Vanguard 1 to initiate. Vanguard initiated “Boomstick Protocol” and fireworks started going off beside the ring. Hardy grabbed the chair and started hitting Bray with it.

Wyatt rolled out of the ring and Hardy followed him. They then entered “Dilapidated City” and Hardy asked Wyatt if it reminded him of anything. Hardy started laughing as footage of the Wyatt compound that Randy Orton burnt down flashed on the screen. Hardy hit Bray with a kendo stick and tried to hit him again but Wyatt blocked it. Wyatt grabbed the kendo stick and slammed Hardy into the building a couple of times.

Bray took his eyes off of Hardy and Matt escaped into the darkness. Wyatt followed him to the Land of Obsolete Men. Matt hid as Wyatt chased him all around. Hardy eventually escaped once again and Wyatt continued his search for him.

Hardy tried to attack Wyatt but Bray was ready and launched him into a tree. Bray slammed Matt into a garage door and it opened. Matt crawled into the Dome of Deletion as Wyatt continued to beat him down. Bray tried to slam Matt onto the piano but Hardy blocked it. Matt grabbed a ladder and struck Wyatt with it a few times.

Matt debated whether to choose the “chair of wheels” or the “mower of lawns”. Matt chose the mower of lawns and rode towards Bray. Wyatt got up in his spider pose and the mower of lawns stopped.

Bray beatdown Matt and said that this was Matt’s ultimate deletion. Wyatt dragged Matt back outside and to the Lake of Reincarnation. Hardy shouted at his friend, Skarsgard the Dilapidated Boat, that it cannot end this way. Vanguard 1 initiated into Attack Mode and flew at Wyatt as he set up for the Sister Abigail. Wyatt grabbed the drone and said that he will deal with it later.

Bray flipped over Skarsgard and found Senor Benjamin under it with a globe in his hands. Senor Benjamin threw the globe at Bray and he caught it. Senor Benjamin started singing “he’s got the whole world in his hands” and Brother Nero Jeff Hardy appeared next to Wyatt. Brother Nero sang “he’s got the whole world in his hands” as well. They then disappeared and Matt Hardy hit the Twist of Fate for the pinfall victory.

Wyatt said that this wasn’t over as Hardy shoved him into the lake. Hardy asked Senor Benjamin to retrieve Bray Wyatt’s carcass from the Lake of Reincarnation. Senor Benjamin said that he wasn’t there and Matt Hardy declared that the Great War was over. RAW went off the air with Matt Hardy shouting “delete!”.

Opinion: I hope that the Great War is not ovah because I really enjoyed this. This feud has absolutely sucked up until tonight. There needs to be more ridiculousness like this every week from the “Woken” universe. I’m sure those that only watch WWE and live inside that bubble found this to be stupid. I thought it was great and WWE could use more creativity on their shows every week. As for the entire episode of RAW, it was another letdown leading up until WrestleMania 34. WWE stated that Ronda Rousey was going to be at every RAW up until WrestleMania and she once again wasn’t live on the show tonight.

What did you think of this week’s RAW? Let us know in the comments below.

John Cena Addresses His Challenge To The Undertaker For WrestleMania 34 Match

Multiple time WWE Champion John Cena spoke with ESPN about his challenge to The Undertaker at WrestleMania 34. As of this writing, Taker had yet to accept the challenge but will reportedly do so soon.

For years now, The Undertaker has been a top guy for the sports entertainment company. He has feuded with the biggest names in the history of professional wrestling including Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, The Rock, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Triple H and the list goes on and on.

He has held nearly every title that the company has to offer. Taker has had a great career with the sports entertainment company.

Over the past few years, he has gone from being a full-time talent to a part-timer. After years of speculation of when Taker would retire from pro wrestling, it was almost certain that he had his farewell at WrestleMania 33 in the main event against Roman Reigns last year in Orlando, Florida. However, that is not the case.

“At my core, I’m a fan. I’m a member of the WWE universe and I’ve thought about this a lot. I was emotionally moved when the streak was broken. Last year was an emotional performance. Then you get closer and closer to WrestleMania, and you realize it’s not a WrestleMania without The Undertaker. You hold the ticket in your hand and you realize a portion of that ticket goes to hearing his music, seeing The Undertaker. That is WrestleMania. I know there will come a day where that changes — I just don’t think it’s now. Whether it happens or not, it is officially out of my hands, and I think it’s out of everyone else’s hands except one person.”

“If it does happen, I don’t think anyone who buys a ticket to WrestleMania will walk away throwing the stub up in the air going, ‘I wish he wouldn’t have showed up.’ I hope he does. I hope he understands the impact that he has on the current WWE Universe. He is WrestleMania.”

WrestleMania 34 is set to be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. This event airs on pay-per-view (PPV) and WWE Network. It’s the most successful and longest-running professional wrestling event in history. Both Raw and SmackDown rosters will be featured.
