Roman Reigns Backstage At Raw, Superstars React To Evolution

Roman Reigns Backstage At Raw

Roman Reigns was backstage at this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw from Charlotte, NC, after relinquishing the Universal Championship on last week’s episode of the show, according to WrestlingInc.

Though it appears that there were no plans of including him into the show as the site reports that the former Champion had left the arena almost an hour before the episode went on air.

No word yet on if Reigns was just visiting or if he was there to shoot some material but both are possible and we’ll keep you posted if any more details related to his visit comes to light.

Superstars React To Evolution

Despite not having much hype, Sunday’s Evolution PPV was highly praised by the fans online and some even called it the best WWE PPV of 2018.

On this week’s episode of Raw, Charly Caruso interviewed stars from the Brand backstage and asked their opinion on the company’s first ever all women PPV.

After the show, WWE posted the video of it from their official YouTube account. Below is the video of various WWE Superstars like Dolph Ziggler, Seth Rollins, the Riott Squad and more reacting to the Evolution PPV and praising the performance of the female stars:

Nia Jax On Her Tribute To Roman Reigns At Evolution, Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman Team Up After Raw

Nia Jax On Her Tribute To Roman Reigns At Evolution

We noted before how the Usos paid a tribute to Roman Reigns on SmackDown last week. Both Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka did something similar during Evolution.

Both were part of the Evolution Battle Royale. During the match, they did Roman’s signature ‘howl’ gesture as a tribute to the former Universal Champion:

After the show, Nia was interviewed backstage and talking about the spot, she said that Reigns’ battle with Leukemia wasn’t the only reason for this tribute. According to Nia Jax it was also a gesture of appreciation for always supporting the female wrestlers:

Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman Team Up After Raw

Both Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman were involved in different segments during the latest episode of Raw. While they didn’t wrestle on the show, the two Raw Stars teamed up after cameras stopped rolling.

They both faced Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre in the dark main event and defeated the former Tag Champs to send the crowd home happy.

Braun Strowman will fight Brock Lesnar for the vacant Universal Championship at the upcoming Crown Jewel PPV while Seth Rollins will compete in the World Cup Tournament during the show

Championship Match, Street Fight Announced For SmackDown

WWE has announced a number of exciting matches and segments for this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, including a title bout for the show.

The first match which has been announced will see a member of New Day taking on a member of the newly formed alliance between the Bar and The Big Show.

This bout is announced to be a Trick or Street Fight, and WWE is teasing that the participants of this fight will be wearing Halloween costumes.

The second match which General Manager Paige announced on Twitter will see Tye Dillinger challenging the United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura for his title:

https://twitter.com/RealPaigeWWE/status/1057060763196637189

Though the most interesting thing that has been announced for the show is a confrontation angle between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan ahead of their match at Crown Jewel.

We noted before how Bryan and John Cena were two of the top stars who were originally refusing to work the event in light of the controversy surrounding the missing journalist.

WWE confirmed that John will not be at the show during the latest episode of Raw so it’d be interesting to see if they were at least able to convince Daniel to wrestle at the event.

If not then we can expect to see an angle similar to the Bobby Lashley segment on Raw, announcing a replacement for the former World Champion.

Both ways it will be interesting to see what decision the company has made and we’ll have to tune in to SmackDown tonight to find out.

WWE Nixes Big Ronda Rousey-Becky Lynch Angle?

Both SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey were successful in defending their championships at the Evolution PPV.

After the show WWE announced that these two will now face each other at the upcoming Survivor Series PPV and posted a confrontation video too, but it appears that they originally had a different plan for the angle.

After last night’s Evolution PPV concluded, WWE.com published an article announcing their upcoming match. Interestingly, this press release mentioned a physical altercation between the two, that never took place:

“However, the Rowdy titleholder’s celebration was short-lived; just moments after she and Becky stood triumphantly side-by-side along with the rest of the female Superstars in the culmination of the monumental event, The Irish Lass Kicker unleashed a vicious assault on her fellow champion backstage.”

It’s unclear whether this altercation was expected to happen during the closing segment of Evolution where all women came up on the stage or during the after show interview where Becky confronted the former UFC Star:

Though this article makes it seem like the altercation was nixed at the last minute. Since we know Vince McMahon was running the show from gorrilla position, it’s possible that he made the decision on the fly.

Becky Lynch will now face Ronda Rousey in a one on one match at the upcoming Survivor Series PPV on November 18th.

8 Takeaways From WWE RAW (10/29)

The October 29th, 2018 episode of WWE RAW aired live from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, NC. In addition to the takeaways below, Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch was announced for WWE Survivor Series during tonight’s broadcast.

Here are 8 takeaways from this week’s show:

Brock Lesnar Delivered An F5 To Braun Strowman

RAW GM Baron Corbin started off the show by wishing Roman Reigns well. Corbin added that if Reigns comes back, he hopes it is not to RAW. Corbin was holding the vacant Universal Championship and claimed that the title looked good on him.

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman interrupted and came down to the ring. Heyman cut off Corbin and introduced Brock Lesnar. Heyman said that he will live in historic times and history will be made in four days at Crown Jewel.

Heyman stated that Lesnar will get the Universal Championship back at Crown Jewel by defeating Braun Strowman. Heyman guaranteed that Lesnar will win and that Brock will F5 Strowman to become the champion.

Strowman joined the party and guaranteed that he will become the new Universal Champion. Braun added that Lesnar is going to get these hands and dropped the microphone. Corbin tried to get in the way and got a Powerslam from Strowman for his troubles.

Braun lifted Corbin up and hit him with another Powerslam as Brock Lesnar posed with the title. Strowman delivered a third Powerslam to Corbin as Strowman snuck up behind him. Lesnar delivered an F5 to Strowman and then raised the Universal Championship as the crowd booed.

Lashley Beatdown Finn Balor & Will Replace John Cena At Crown Jewel

Finn Balor squared off against Bobby Lashley once again tonight on RAW. Lio Rush cut a promo before the match and claimed that Balor got lucky last week when he defeated Bobby Lashley. Rush added that Lashley is going to dominate Finn tonight and attempted to start a “Lashley!” chant.

Bobby dominated the first few minutes of the match as Lio Rush kept trying to get a “Lashley!” chant going. Balor battled back with a Dropkick that sent Lashley tumbling out of the ring. Finn followed it up with a flip onto Lashley outside the ring as RAW went to a commercial break.

When RAW returned, Lashley was back in control and had Balor in a Headlock in the middle of the ring. Finn escaped and hit Lashley with a forearm to the face. Balor followed it up with a Clothesline and then a Double Stomp to Bobby’s midsection.

Lashley slammed Balor to the canvas for a near fall as Lio Rush once again shouted “Lashley!” over and over again. Lashley went for a vertical Suplex but Balor countered into a Slingblade. Balor hit Lashley with a Dropkick and went for the Coup de Grace but Lio Rush shoved Balor to the mat.

Balor then went for another Coup de Grace and Lio Rush shoved Balor again and the referee called for the bell. After the match, Lashley slammed Balor into the barricade and held him up as Lio Rush slapped Finn in the face. Rush demanded that Lashley pick up Balor once again and Lio slapped him one more time. Lio then checked his phone and told Lashley that they need to head backstage.

Lashley had a conversation with RAW GM Baron Corbin backstage. Corbin informed him that he will be replacing John Cena in the World Cup tournament at Crown Jewel.

Lita, Trish Stratus, Natalya, Bayley & Sasha Banks Picked Up A Win

Bayley, Sasha Banks, Natalya, Trish Stratus & Lita faced Mickie James, Alicia Fox & The Riott Squad tonight on RAW.

Sarah Logan and Trish Stratus started off the match. Stratus beatdown Logan for a bit and then Liv Morgan tagged in. Lita tagged in as well and hit Morgan with a Clothesline. Lita followed it up with a Hurricanrana and then a DDT. Lita made her way to the top rope but Ruby Riott and Logan dragged Morgan out of the ring as RAW went to a break.

When RAW returned, Bayley and Alicia Fox were in the ring. Banks tagged in and slammed Fox into the turnbuckle. Stratus got back into the match and took out Fox with a shoulder tackle. Sasha tagged back in and Fox bounced her face off the turnbuckle.

Mickie James tagged in and applied a Headlock to Banks in the middle of the ring. Mickie brought her back over to the corner and Sarah Logan got back in. Logan went for a Suplex but Sasha countered into a roll-up for a two count. Logan connected with a Dropkick for another near fall.

Ruby Riott entered the match and stomped on Banks in the corner. Riott then went for a Splash but Sasha got out of the way and Ruby accidentally knocked Liv Morgan off the ring apron. Fox tagged in and knocked Bayley and Stratus off the ring apron.

Natalya tagged in and leveled Fox with a Clothesline and followed it up with a Dropkick to the face. A brawl then broke out and Lita and Bayley connected with  Twist of Fates on Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott. Bayley hit Riott with an Elbow Drop and Lita connected with a Moonsault on Liv. Natalya and Lita then teamed up for the Hart Attack and then Natalya locked in the Sharpshooter on Fox for the submission victory.

Elias Defeated Jinder Mahal

Elias played a tune on his guitar and claimed that he came to Charlotte early to hang out with Ric Flair. Elias said that Flair loved what he did to Baron Corbin last week on RAW and rolled footage of him smashing his guitar over Corbin’s back last week.

The crowd chanted “yes!” as Elias admitted that it felt great to hit Corbin with his guitar. Elias said that he was going to find Corbin right now and sing him a song. Elias walked backstage to Corbin’s office but Baron didn’t let him in. Dana Brooke stopped Elias along the way and asked him to play a song for her but Elias declined.

Elias sang a song that Corbin had potential but he is a coward. Elias called Corbin a taller and stupider version of Kurt Angle. Corbin stormed out of his office and Elias sang that he was Stephanie’s little bitch. Jinder Mahal then attacked Elias from behind and beat him down. Corbin then came back out of his office with a smile on his face and told Elias to head to the ring for his match against Jinder Mahal next.

https://twitter.com/totaldivaseps/status/1057080651931938816

Elias started off the match with a Clothesline but Mahal shrugged it off and connected with a Suplex. Mahal stomped on Elias in the corner of the ring and Samir Singh stretched out Elias over the ring post. Mahal controlled the next few minutes of the match with a series of rest holds before Elias battled back.

Elias launched Mahal across the ring and then stomped on Jinder in the corner of the ring. Elias then connected with the Drift Away for the pinfall victory.

Dean Ambrose Didn’t Explain Why He Attacked Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins came down to the ring to a great reaction from the crowd. Rollins thanked the crowd for sending love to Roman Reigns and then brought up RAW Tag Team Champion for the third time in his career. Seth added that Dean Ambrose turned his back on The Shield and that makes him feel a little guilty.

Rollins said that maybe Ambrose still hadn’t gotten over when he betrayed The Shield four years ago. Seth asked Ambrose to come down to the ring and explain his actions. Ambrose’s music hit but Dean didn’t come down to the ring.

Ambrose showed up in the crowd and Rollins told him to come down to the ring and face him like a man. Rollins got pissed off and said that at least when he stuck the knife in his back he had the guts to tell him why he did it.

Dean grabbed a microphone from out of his pocket and glared at the crowd. Ambrose didn’t say anything and Rollins called him a cold-hearted bastard for making everything about himself on a night when Roman Reigns left to battle leukemia. Rollins vowed to make Ambrose’s life a living hell and called him a “soulless lunatic”.

Seth then said that he was going to come up there and beat an answer out of Ambrose. Dean left as Rollins got back into the ring.

Nia Jax Defeated Ember Moon After Tamina Interfered

Ember Moon battled Nia Jax tonight on RAW. Moon and Jax had a confrontation backstage during the show when Nia got annoyed that Ember Moon was being asked about eliminating five women in the Battle Royal last night at WWE Evolution. Nia Jax boasted about winning the Battle Royal and Ember Moon responded by challenging her to a match.

Ember Moon started off the match in control and hit Nia with a Dropkick. Moon made her way to the top rope but Nia Jax caught her and went for the Samoan Drop. Ember escaped but Nia quickly knocked her to the canvas with a shoulder tackle.

Nia Jax connected with an elbow to the midsection for a near fall and followed it up with a Clothesline. Jax locked Ember in a Bear Hug in the middle of the ring as the crowd got behind Moon. Ember broke free but Nia grabbed her by the head and launched her across the ring. Jax charged at Moon in the corner but Ember got out of the way and Nia crashed into the ring post and fell to the floor outside the ring. Ember climbed up to the top and flipped onto Jax outside the ring.

Nia battled back with a headbutt and threw Ember back inside the ring. Tamina came down to the entrance ramp and Nia capitalized on the distraction with an elbow to Moon’s face. Nia followed it up with a Leg Drop for the pinfall victory. After the match, Tamina got inside the ring and had a staredown with Nia Jax before retreating up the entrance ramp.

Dolph Ziggler then battled Apollo Crews as McIntyre was ringside for the match. Crews started off in control and connected with an Enziguri for a two count. Crews climbed to the top rope but Dolph got up and shoved him to the mat. Dolph went for a DDT but Crews escaped and lifted Ziggler up over his head for several seconds. Crews dropped Ziggler face-first to the mat and hit him with a standing Moonsault for a two count.

Apollo went back up to the top rope and Ziggler caught him once again. Crews knocked Ziggler to the mat and went for Frog Splash but Dolph got his knees up at the last second. Ziggler then hit Crews with a Superkick for the pinfall victory.

Kane added that they could hear their names being whispered and the whisper has now become a deafening cry. The Undertaker stated that the Brothers of Destruction will take the beaten and battered souls of Degeneration X to the fiery gates of hell.

Triple H came down to the entrance ramp and waited for Shawn Michaels but he didn’t show up. Kane marched up the ramp and Shawn Michaels appeared behind The Undertaker. Ricochet Talks Roman Reigns’ Leukemia Announcement, Wrestling Adam Cole

WWE NXT North American Champion Ricochet spoke with the Miami Herald for a new interview to promote the NXT events in South Florida this weekend. During the interview, he was asked about Roman Reigns’ leukemia announcement, which he stated that Reigns is a superhero as he is the standard of what a person should be. He brought up how Reigns went out there every single night and he puts his body on the line.

“It’s sad to hear, it’s sad to see whenever someone like that has to not just relinquish the title, but stop doing something that they love. But, I know if anybody is gonna get through this, it’s gonna be him. He’s such a strong person, such a strong dude. I know he’s gonna kick this thing’s but and come back stronger than ever.”

At the WWE NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4 event in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center at the Center on the WWE Network last August, Ricochet beat Adam Cole to win the title. This marked Ricochet’s first title win under the banner of the WWE and only the second North American Champion in history.

When asked about, it stated that it was truly amazing as he never really thought that he would be in this position at all. “I never really thought that I would be here, because when I first started, even my size and my stature, I never thought that I would be in this position. And the fact that I am, it really goes to show you that, really, anything is possible.”

Matt Hardy Opens Up On Potential Retirement From Pro Wrestling

Matt Hardy was the most recent guest on Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia to talk about various topics. Just last month, it was reported that Hardy would be taking an extended break to deal with nagging injuries and he has been “shadowing” WWE producers behind the scenes and is transitioning to a backstage role with the company.

Hardy addressed if he has retired from pro wrestling, which he stated that “People throw around the word retirement where typically if someone teases that, it’s retirement, but retirement is not a word I ever said.” He continued by stating that he said he needed to go home and did. He brought up how he’s not a spring chicken anymore and wrestled for 26 years. He needed to go home in order to deal with issues in his lower back and hips. He continued by stating that if he can bounce back from those issues and get back in the ring and be physical, that’s great. However, if it can’t then he’ll “do whatever we need to do on-air to figure out something entertaining” for himself.

Hardy also talked about being content with his career where he stated that when he steps outside of being a pro wrestler then he’s super happy with everything they did and on his own as his goal was to one day be the tag team champions of the WWE one time and they did that many times over. He stated, “If I walk away tomorrow and never wrestle another match again I’m good with everything I’ve done and achieved.”

Hardy continued by stating that when his career comes to an end, it’s not all about the title wins but rather how good of a performer you are and how relevant you can stay and how much you can change and evolve. It also has to do with a popularity standpoint and a financial standpoint. He added that he feels that he has done well on all of those levels.

He runs into Dana Brooke who asks for a song, but Elias declines. Elias keeps walking and he knocks on Corbin’s locker room door. Dawson tags in and suplexes Kalisto down, then drops an elbow on him for a two count. Dawson misses a shot and Kalisto fires back with kicks. Kalisto knocks Wilder off the apron and then kicks Dawson away. Dawson knocks Dorado off the apron, and Wilder hits a cheap shot on Kalisto behind the ref’s back. Dawson gets distracted and Kalisto hits the Salida Del Sol. Dorado takes out Wilder as Kalisto pins Dawson for the three count.

Taker says DX is in for slow, agonizing pain. The DX music hits and Triple H comes out to the stage. Kane starts heading towards Triple H on the ramp, and then Shawn Michaels runs in the ring from out of nowhere and superkicks Undertaker. Kane gets back in the ring and hawn rolls outside to join HHH on the ramp. Taker sits up in the ring and his music plays as HHH and Shawn back up the ramp.

Shayna Baszler Leaves Evolution On Crutches, Questionable For Takeover

Shayna Baszler was seen leaving the Nassau Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum last night after Evolution. Early speculation is she suffered a sprained ankle. An injury could mean the NXT Women’s Champion might not be able to compete in 18 days at Takeover: WarGames.

Baszler’s injury was addressed today on Wrestling Observer Live.

“Shayna injured her ankle during the match,” Bryan Alvarez said. “And I don’t know the extent of it. She was at the airport this morning on crutches. She is very much downplaying it because she is Shayna Baszler and this is what MMA fighters do. But she is scheduled to be evaluated today and we will find out if it is bad enough to keep her off the Takeover show. We’ll find out but something happened to her ankle in the match last night.”

Latest On John Cena/Daniel Bryan’s Crown Jewel Status

WWE’s controversial Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia is now less than a week away. We reported previously that John Cena may not be appearing at the event and we may well have an update.

Nothing has changed regarding Cena’s status for Crown Jewel according to Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer. Meltzer stated that WWE may confirm Cena’s status on tonight’s RAW show. WOR are claiming that WWE creative and staff elsewhere in the company are not even aware of what is happening with Cena in regards to Crown Jewel, but that we should have an answer after tonight’s RAW. Cena was scheduled to take part in the ‘World Cup’ tournament on the Crown Jewel card.

A potential rumored replacement for Cena’s World Cup spot is Bobby Lashley. Lashley is currently dealing with a shoulder injury that he is working through as long as possible.

Meltzer also commented on the rumors of Daniel Bryan not appearing at Crown Jewel. According to WOR no announcement will be made by WWE about Bryan not appearing at the event. It is likely that an angle will be shown on the day of the event or at this week’s Smackdown taping to explain Bryan’s absence. Bryan’s status for the show is very much “up in the air” but will not be addressed until closer to the event either way.

PAC/Neville Announced for Top UK Promotion

Revolution Pro (Rev Pro) has announced that PAC will be returning to the promotion. The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion will be appearing at the Portsmouth Guildhall on November 22nd. Tickets for the show are available to purchase via Rev Pro’s official website here.

The company has not yet announced PAC’s opponent for the show. The Portsmouth shows for Rev Pro are big events but not on the level of their York Hall extravaganzas. It is likely that PAC will be in a top feature match but not on the level that you would expect at a venue like York Hall. With Rev Pro’s New Japan links it would be ideal for PAC to take on one of the top NJPW stars but it is more likely that he faces a Rev Pro ‘homegrown’ talent such as El Phantasmo or Josh Bodom.

In other PAC/Neville related news Japan’s Dragon Gate promotion recently confirmed their new streaming service which featured PAC in a short promo package hyping the new over the top service alongside his RED stablemates. Fans will be able watch live/past shows for just over $13 a month. PAC made his return to the company earlier this year after leaving WWE’s 205 Live brand.

Ireland’s Over The Top Wrestling (OTT) promotion has also announced a huge return for PAC. The company has not confirmed what date the high flying superstar will return but have confirmed that it will NOT be in November.

Potential Change Could Be Made To Top WWE Crown Jewel Match

WWE officials could make a change to one top match at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view event. With Roman Reigns relinquishing the Universal Title due to his battle with leukemia, he will not able to face Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman in a triple threat match at this show as originally advertised. Thus, Strowman and Lesnar will battle for the vacant title at this show.

According to a report by Pwinsider.com, there was a pitch made last week to add Drew McIntyre to the match, which would make it a triple threat. WWE has yet to make this change official but it could come as soon as Monday’s episode of RAW.

WWE presents the Crown Jewel pay-per-view event on November 2nd, 2018 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at the King Saud University Stadium and will air on the WWE Network. WWE will be announcing more matches for this show in the coming days. Here is the updated card:

Updated WWE Crown Jewel Card

Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman – Vacant WWE Universal Title Match

WWE Champion AJ Styles  vs. Daniel Bryan

Triple H & Shawn Michaels vs. Kane & The Undertaker

World Cup Tournament: John Cena, Kurt Angle, Seth Rollins & Dolph Ziggler will represent RAW while Rey Mysterio, The Miz, Randy Orton & Jeff Hardy will represent SmackDown

Rev Pro ‘World of Pro Wrestling’ Episode 2 Results

Revolution Pro (Rev Pro) debuted on FreeSportsUK just over a week ago on Friday 19th. The UK based company will be using the nationwide channel as the home for their new TV show going forward. FreeSportsUK made the announcement back in August via Twitter where the channel announced that the show initially would be airing “later in September.”

Here’s the results of Episode 2:

  • Colt Cabana b. Greg Burridge
  • Roppongi 3k (SHO and YOH) b. HxC (Dan Head and James Castle)
  • Chris Brookes b. El Phantasmo – Brookes took the win after a distraction by his CCK stablemate Jonathan Gresham

You may remember FreeSports as the channel that hosted the ill-fated 5 Star Wrestling earlier this year. Rev Pro is an extremely well established promotion comparatively and will relish the opportunity to be available in UK homes.

You can check out the exclusive interview we conducted with Rev Pro owner Andy Quildan here. When we discussed the timing of the new show Andy confirmed that “WoS had no impact on our decision. In all honesty whilst I watch as much product as possible from WWE, ROH, NJPW, CMLL to all the indies here in the UK, aside from learning best (or at times worst) practice I try not to let what others are doing dictate the way I choose to run my business.”

Will Ospreay Acquires UK Promotion

UK and New Japan based star Will Ospreay has bolstered his Frontline Wrestling promotion. The ‘Aerial Assassin’ confirmed via Twitter that he would be taking over the running of the RCWA promotion. RCWA is based in his hometown of Rainham, Essex.

Ospreay confirmed that RCWA will be re-branded as Frontline. Ospreay stated that starting in 2019, Frontline Wrestling will open up ‘Frontline: NEXGEN’ to open more opportunities for the Young Lions, J-1 League & Wrestlers that we’d like to give a run on our shows.”

Will Ospreay has been sidelined with an injury and has been pulled from several events recently. The former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion was expected to take on Taichi for the NEVER Openweight Championship in November but this has since been scrapped. Taichi will be defending his title against Hirooki Goto. Ospreay has confirmed that the Frontline promotion will also be hosting shows across the UK, their initial 2 events were held in London.

Details On Vince McMahon Running WWE Evolution From Gorilla Position

WWE has received high praise from fans about their latest pay-per-view event, Evolution, that went down on Sunday night (October 28, 2018) in Long Island, New York at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on the WWE Network.

The positive reaction to the show is due to the in-ring action, finishes and production values. It felt like a different show that some could say that hasn’t been done since ECW One Night Stand in 2005.

There are even some fans who thought it had an NXT TakeOver-like vibe. However, it doesn’t mean that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon wasn’t in charge. In fact, Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that McMahon was still in charge from the gorilla position despite people thinking that Triple H was running the show.

According to the report, McMahon was backstage in order to give notes and make changes with Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Michael Hayes, Road Dogg, and other producers. It was also noted that Stephanie was said to be beaming with pride backstage throughout the show.

Earlier in the day, it was reported by PWinsider that Vickie Guerrero, Eve Torres, Christian, and Finn Balor were backstage on the show. With WWE officials being high on the idea of making historic moments with women’s wrestling, it will be interesting to see when the next all-women’s show will be held.

Title Match Announced For NJPW Power Struggle Event

A new title match has been announced for the NJPW Power Struggle event, which is their next big show. New Japan Pro Wrestling officials confirmed that Taichi will now defend the NEVER Openweight Championship against Hirooki Goto. Originally, Taichi was supposed to wrestle Will Ospreay, but Ospreay had to pull out due to injury.

Last week, it was revealed by the promotion that Ospreay wouldn’t be able to wrestle at the show after suffering a rib injury at Revolution Pro Wrestling’s Global Wars UK event on October 14. The young rising wrestling star suffered the injury when he landed badly during his match against Chris Ridgeway.

This match joins a stacked card as several big matches have already been announced. Those matches include Chris Jericho defending the IWGP Intercontinental Championship against EVIL, the Super Jr. Tag League finals, and Tetsuya Naito vs. Zack Sabre, Jr.

Power Struggle takes place on November 3rd and will air live on New Japan World. Here is the updated card:

– Rev Pro British Heavyweight Champion Tomohiro Ishii vs. Minoru Suzuki

– NEVER Openweight Champion Taichi vs. Hirooki Goto

– Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho vs. EVIL

– Super Junior Tag League Finals

– Kazuchika Okada & Beretta vs. Jay White & Bad Luck Fale

– Hiroshi Tanahashi & David Finlay vs. The Golden Lovers

WrestleMania 35 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium. This event airs on pay-per-view (PPV) and WWE Network. It’s the most successful and longest-running professional wrestling event in history.
