10 Takeaways From Impact Wrestling 3/22

Impact Wrestling presented a taped show from Las Vegas last night. The promotion is building toward both their United We Stand PPV on April 4th and Rebellion on April 28th from Toronto.

Here are 10 takeaways from Impact Wrestling 3/22:

Johnny Impact Will Face Brian Cage At Rebellion

Johnny Impact cut a promo this week explaining why he swerved Brian Cage last week. Impact made it appear as though he had been beaten up in the back by Killer Kross, only to then deliver a cinder block beat down to Cage and take him out of action.

Impact explained this week that the fans turned on him first by cheering for Cage over him. He’ll once again have to face Cage for the Impact World Championship, however, as a match between the two was made official for Rebellion.

Rich Swann Defeats Sami Callihan, Defends X-Division Championship

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUN0UuCU7BU

Before this match could get going, we saw Willie Mack enter OVE’s locker room with a chair. Sounds were heard leading one to believe Mack took action to prevent OVE from interfering with the night’s main event between Callihan and Swann. Swann won the match with a roll-up but the action wasn’t over once the bell rang. A new member of OVE would come out to assist Callihan in a post-match beatdown.

Sawyer “Mad Man” Fulton Debuts As OVE’s Newest Member

With no other member of OVE available, “Mad Man” Fulton came out to assist Callihan. Fulton is formarly a member of Sanity in NXT and was also aligned with Sami Callihan in MLW as part of War Games last year. OVE is arguably stronger than ever now that Fulton is backing them up.

Tessa Blanchard Insists Gail Kim Quit Impact Wrestling

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOKehlUPdhs

Gail Kim has been suspended from Impact Wrestling due to her actions towards Tessa Blanchard as of late. Blanchard has insisted that Kim apologize to her and resign from her role with Impact Wrestling. We’ll get Kim’s response next week.

James Mitchell Did Not Give Rosemary Allie’s Soul

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UGNreJAs4A

This week, Rosemary voiced her concerns to James Mitchell regarding Allie’s condition. Rosemary won Allie back in the Dark War match but the Allie she received is still without a soul and not the bunny we all once knew. That soul was left in the undead realm.

Rosemary said she would return to the undead realm to get the bunny’s soul back. No word on if Allie’s soul also signed a contract with AEW or if the new promotion only signed her soulless meat-suit (Rosemary’s words).

LAX & The Lucha Bros Brawl In The Back

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOKehlUPdhs

The rivalry between the Lucha Bros and LAX has turned heated in recent weeks. What was once a friendly rivalry between teams aligned with Konnan has turned into a blood feud. We could get the next chapter in this rivalry written at Rebellion. This week the two teams brawled in the back.

Eli Drake & Eddie Edwards Continue To Work Well Together

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78F6bWFR3g8

Despite having opposing theories on how to wrestle, Eli Drake and Eddie Edwards have been stringing some wins together in the tag team division. This week they managed to beat KM and Fallah Bah.

As for KM & Fallah Bah, they had just won 2 in a row over Reno Scum. This loss sort of cuts their rise to the top of the division. Perhaps, it won’t be long until Edwards and Drake are in that position.

Moose Got Revenge On The Rascalz

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOVY79Kl_xg

Moose was not pleased last week when the Rascalz made fun of him striking out with Mellisa Santos. In response, Moose invaded their smoking circle on last week’s episode and then defeated Trey in single’s action this week.

Willie Mack Trending In A Positive Direction

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isKbPZV_JZ4

Josh Matthews noted this week that Willie Mack is trending in a positive direction. Mack defeated Ethan Page with a stunner. As we approach United We Stand and Rebellion, big things could be on the horizon for Mack.

Ace Austin Picks Up Another Victory

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlgqus76saE

Ace Austin defeated Damien Drake this week. He’s now 2-0 in Impact Wrestling after a successful Las Vegas TV tapings run. It looks like the X-Division is going to have to be on their toes with this guy coming up the rankings.

Quick Results:

  1. Moose defeated Trey (Rascalz)
  2. Eddie Edwards & Eli Drake defeated KM & Fallah Bah
  3. Ace Austin defeated Damien Drake
  4. Willie Mack defeats Ethan Page
  5. X-Division Championship: Rich Swann (c) defeated Sami Callihan

Next Week:

Impact Wrestling Against All Odds:

  • Brian Cage vs Killer Kross
  • Will Gail Kim Resign and Apologize To Tessa Blanchard?
  • Knockouts Championship: Taya Valkyrie (c) vs Jordynne Grace
  • Rosemary Returns to the Undead Realm

Kota Ibushi Announced for NJPW Royal Quest

New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced the latest star that will be joining their Royal Quest event in the UK. ‘Golden Star’ Kota Ibushi will be heading overseas to take part in the Copper Box Arena.

NJPW also recently announced that NEVER Openweight Champion Will Ospreay will be heading to the Copper Box Arena in London. Ospreay won the NEVER Openweight Championship at the Wrestle Kingdom show in January. The ‘Aerial Assassin’ defeated Kota Ibushi to claim the title and dethrone the Japanese star.

The company confirmed earlier this month that “Three” of their “top Japanese wrestlers have confirmed they will be on the card and they will be bringing New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s fighting spirit to the heart of the UK’s capital.” Those three stars were Kazuchika Okada, Tetsuya Naito and IWGP Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi.

NJPW aren’t strangers to the United Kingdom. They have held numerous events in conjuncture with other promotions. Most notably Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro) and Ring Of Honor (ROH). ‘Royal Quest’ will be their first major solo show in the UK.

Nick Aldis Announced for WAW Fightmare

World Association of Wrestling (WAW) wlll be presenting their biggest ever event on June 2nd. The company will be heading to Norwich City’s Carrow Road to present ‘Fightmare.’

NWA World Champion Nick Aldis has now been announced for the supershow. The former TNA star appeared in a pre-taped promo on Twitter to announce his appearance in June. You can check this out via the tweet below:

Already announced for the Megashow are WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley. WAW World Champion Roy Knight. WWE Superstar and former Smackdown General Manager Paige and Billy Gunn.

WAW is owned by Paige’s family, the Knights. This will be the former Champion’s first official appearance for the company since she joined the WWE a number of years ago. The Knight family are currently celebrating the release of ‘Fighting With My Family.’

The film is based on Paige’s journey to WWE and her rise to RAW and the Diva’s Championship. The motion picture has garnered critical praise and was produced by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

NXT Star Asks For Release After Concussion Scare

WWE NXT Star Stacey Ervin Jr. has asked for his release from the wrestling company after a recent concussion scare, according to reports.

This news was first broken by Casey Michael from Squared Circle Sirens who noted on Twitter that the NXT Star has requested a release and WWE Officials have given him some time to reconsider his decision.

However, while Casey reports that people in NXT think that he’s 100% done, Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Stacey has decided to take some more time before making a final call.

Another angle to this story is Ervin’s recent tweets in which he revealed that he will be starting a new project to share his ‘secrets and tricks’ as seen below:

Stacey had a tryout with WWE back in February last year and in May it was reported that the company has decided to sign the former amateur gymnast.

He wrestled his first match for the brand in September the same year during a Live Event. Though it took some time before he made his on-screen debut on January earlier this year.

His request for a release is especially surprising considering the fact that recent reports suggested both him and Eric Bugenhagen had been receiving rave reviews backstage.

As of this writing, WWE has not confirmed these reports but Stacey Ervin has removed all reference of WWE and NXT from his social profiles. We’ll keep you posted on the matter.

Alberto EL Patron Says Door For A WWE Return Is Open

While many believe that we’ll never see Alberto El Patron back in WWE, the former WWE Champion himself claims that the door for a return is open.

Alberto was recently interviewed by Super Luchas where he talked about his relationship with Triple H, leaving WWE in 2014 and more.

While talking about a possible return to the company, the former Champion said that a comeback is not out of the question while also clarifying that neither of the parties are begging for it:

“Returning to WWE before retiring is not a question of whether they want to or I want to return, neither I hope nor want to return nor do they expect me to return or want me to return. But the two of us have had approaches, especially to make the peace, which opens the door to the fact that before I hang up my boots I can have some last matches in WWE. I clarify it: neither they beg me, nor I beg them. It’s just that the door is open for a future.”

Alberto Del Rio has been talking about retirement from a while now but so far he hasn’t announced a timetable for the same. So it’s hard to say how long he will be wrestling before hanging his boots.

Kurt Angle on His Retirement: ‘I Had a Great Career…Now It’s Time for Me to Settle Down’

Kurt Angle has seen everything and probably done even more during his professional wrestling career but he is finally ready to call it a career.

At WrestleMania 35, Angle will compete in his retirement match against Baron Corbin following an athletic career that stretches back more than 40 years.

“We’re heading to WrestleMania next month and I will have my retirement match. 50 years old, I’m ready to hang it up and I’m going to have my last match at WrestleMania,” Angle said when making an appearance at the NCAA Wrestling Championships in his native Pittsburgh this weekend.

Angle has been involved in professional wrestling in one form or fashion since first making his debut back in 1998.

Just after winning the Olympic gold medal in freestyle wrestling in 1996, Angle was immediately pursued by WWE to join the promotion but he scoffed at the idea of transitioning to professional wrestling.

It took a couple of years of convincing but Angle eventually came around, tried out for the WWE and eventually became one of the company’s biggest superstars.

In recent years, Angle has gotten back into the ring despite lingering injuries that put him on the sidelines while once again working with WWE as the ‘general manager’ of Monday Night Raw.

While he’s been more active in recent months, Angle finally decided that it was time to retire from active competition with one last match at WrestleMania in April.

“I had a great career. 20 years, I enjoyed every minute of it, I also enjoyed [wrestling] so I’ve been very blessed,” Angle said. “Win 13 world titles in professional wrestling and obviously I’ve won six National Titles and an Olympic gold medal and a World Championship in amateur wrestling. So I’ve been very blessed.

“I’ve had a great career. Now it’s time for me to settle down and take care of my kids.”

The Rock Reflects On 20 Year Anniversary Of Stone Cold’s Beer Bath

Today marks the 20th anniversary of Steve Austin’s famous beer bath, one of the most memorable segments in the history of WWE television.

March 22nd, 1999 was the “go home” edition of Monday Night Raw before WrestleMania XV. The Attitude Era was in full swing and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin had his sights set on The Rock’s WWE Championship.

With The Rock aligned with The McMahon family and The Corporation, the odds were stacked against Austin. As we all know, people are most dangerous when they are cornered and their backs are against the wall. What unfolded was a moment fans are still talking about to this day.

With The Rock, Vince and Shane McMahon in the ring, Austin drove a Coors Light beer truck into the arena. He then hosed them down with beer in a scene so wild it has to be seen to be believed.

On Friday, The Rock reflected on the beer bath 20 years later. The Rock commended Austin for being his “tough SOB” brother, since Austin was dealing with a broken neck at the time. In order to limit their physicality until their match, they had to get creative on the road to WrestleMania.

As Rock put it, “The result was one of the most entertaining segments ever to take place on LIVE TV.”

David Starr Promo Silenced by Ring of Honor

Independent performer David Starr will be challenging Jay Lethal for the Ring of Honor title on 4/21 in Netanya, Israel. Starr cut a promo for the match and in doing so critical of Sinclair Broadcasting’s politics. The ‘Jewish Cannon’ accused Sinclair of being a “corporate propaganda machine.”

Starr was asked to take the promo off of the internet by IPWA (Israeli Pro Wrestling Association). The promotion where the bout will be taking place.

IPWA were contacted by ROH and the American company were very upset with the politics being included with the promo. There are several other reports saying that ROH are threatening to pull Lethal from the show. This would be if the promo didn’t get removed. There has not been any confirmation of this. There’s a belief that IPWA are fearing that would happen if the promo isn’t taken down.

David Starr recently sent out a tweet saying. “Last night, I posted a promo for my historic championship match on April 21st against Ring of Honor champion Jay Lethal. In Netanya, Israel for Israeli Pro Wrestling Association. I, have been asked by the powers that be to remove said promo. Out of respect to IPWA, who have already paid for Jay’s very expensive flight and accommodations, I will comply. My complying with this request is not an admission of wrongdoing or a retraction. I stand by my entire statement and do not regret any of my actions regarding this subject.”

At the time of writing the match will still be taking place. Lethal is still scheduled to head over to Israel in April.

WWE Bringing In Hulk Hogan For WrestleMania Weekend

WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan will be on hand for WrestleMania 35 weekend.

In less than two weeks, WWE will take over the New York City area. In addition to the multi-day WrestleMania Axxess fan festival, WWE will hold a wide range of local events, including hospital visits, reading challenges and media appearances.

With Hulk Hogan back in WWE’s good graces, PWInsider reports that the Hulkster will be part of the WrestleMania weekend activities for the first time since 2015.

Hulk Hogan was reinstated into the WWE Hall of Fame last summer after a 3-year hiatus from the company. He returned to WWE television at Crown Jewel in November. He most recently appeared on Monday Night Raw to pay tribute to the late “Mean” Gene Okerlund.

WWE WrestleMania 35 takes place Sunday, April 7th from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ.

PROGRESS Tag Team Champion Wants In On Super Strong Style 16

PROGRESS Wrestling will soon be hosting their Super Strong Style 16 tournament. The annual 3 day event is traditionally held in May and features some of the top stars from the UK/European and International scenes. Last year saw WWE/NXT Superstar Kassius Ohno appear in standout bouts with NXT UK Superstar Tyler Bate and CCK’s Chris Brookes.

One half of the PROGRESS Wrestling Tag Team Champions Paul Robinson has declared that he wants ‘in’ on the tournament. PROGRESS recently sent out a tweet seeming to indicate that there would be an issue with the Tag Team Title bout at the upcoming ‘Breadknife’ event. That show will be taking place on March 31st from the Electric Ballroom in Camden, London. It is not yet known if this is due to a scheduling conflict. Robinson’s tag partner is Will Ospreay, a big star in NJPW and someone who the company relies on heavily. Ospreay may otherwise be occupied and they are therefore working this into a storyline. This however has not yet been confirmed. Check out the recent promo from Robinson demanding his shot in the tournament via the tweet below:

https://twitter.com/PR_WRESTLING/status/1108081825056985092

Already confirmed for the Super Strong Style 16 tournament are:

  • ‘The Kiwi Buzzsaw’ Travis Banks
  • Aerostar
  • Ilja Dragunov
  • Darby Allin
  • DJZ
  • Chris Brookes
  • Artemis Spencer
  • Chris Ridgeway
  • Trevor Lee
  • Jordan Devlin

There are of course 6 more names to be confirmed, with Paul Robinson looking like he may be one of them.

Sting Would Come Out Of Retirement to Wrestle The Undertaker

Sting vs Undertaker at WrestleMania will likely go down as one of the most often talked about but never delivered on matches in pro-wrestling history.

During a recent discussion with Wrestling Travel (a travel group specializing in pro-wrestling events), Sting revealed what it would take to lure him out of retirement.

“I mean, everyone knows who it would be,” Sting said when asked who he’d come out of retirement for. “Taker, he’s the only guy I’d come out of retirement for now. No one else. We could just never get it together to make it happen. When I started talking to WWE he was booked with Brock and then I did the deal with Triple H and he had another feud going on at the time, so it was just one of those things we couldn’t make happen.”

Sting wrestled 4x for WWE during his career. He lost to Triple H at WrestleMania 31.

“But I don’t regret it not happening either, I mean I got to face Triple H at my first WrestleMania and then wrestle Seth for the world title, so I didn’t do too badly out of that deal. But yeah, now, the only person I’m getting back in the ring for is Taker.”

Sting would continue to say there were no plans for what he would do with WWE after his match with Rollins had he not been injured.

King Kong Bundy’s Cats Need A Home

Perhaps you are or know someone who could use a feline friend. If that’s the case, the Purrfect Angels Cat Rescue has several of King Kong Bundy’s cats up for adoption in the southern New Jersey area.

Bundy was a big cat person and had 10 of them living with him at the time of his death earlier this month. If you are interested in giving one of King Kong Bundy’s cats a new forever-home, you can contact Purrfect Angels Cat Rescue.

Founder of the Cat Rescue agency, Suzanne Pomeroy, was interviewed by the Daily News regarding Bundy’s love of cats.

“This was really a big part of his life,” she said. “We knew from processing his application he was a very serious cat lover. We knew (Gio – a cat of his) was going to be well-loved and well-cared for with King Kong Bundy.”

Check out the below video which illustrates King Kong Bundy’s love of cats:

“We are an all-volunteer, no-kill cat rescue based in Gloucester County, New Jersey dedicated to improving the lives of homeless cats in southern New Jersey,” states the Purrfect Angels Cat Rescue website.

King Kong Bundy passed away on March 4th, 2019 at the age of 61.

Rhea Ripley Injured

Former NXT UK Women’s champion, Rhea Ripley, currently has a walking boot on her right foot. She posted the following to Twitter recently:

According to a report from Squared Circle Sirens, her injury is not believed to be serious. They are not expecting her to miss much time. Ripley evidently had been dealing with some lingering issues for awhile. She got it checked out and is likely just dealing with a minor sprain.

Rhea Ripley NXT UK

Ripley debuted for WWE in the inaugural Mae Young Classic and has quickly made a name for herself. Real name Demi Bennet, Ripley was plucked from Riot City Wrestling in Melbourne for the 2017 Mae Young Classic. She signed with WWE shortly after and reported to WWE developmental.

By the time the 2018 Mae Young Classic came around, Ripley had established herself as one of the most powerful female prospects in the WWE system.

After making it to the semi-finals of the 2018 Mae Young Classic, Ripley began to carve her path in NXT UK. Ripley marched through Xia Brookside, Dakota Kai, and Toni Storm to win the tournament to declare an inaugural NXT UK Women’s championship. She would end up dropping the title to Toni Storm at NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool, however.

Becky Lynch Cuts A Promo On Ronda Rousey At NBA Game (Video)

Becky Lynch had some harsh words for Ronda Rousey during the Warriors vs Pacers game last night. The Warriors’ Twitter account posted the following video of “the Man” trash-talking one of her WrestleMania 35 opponents:

“Oh Ronnie you little weirdo, you can’t hack it, get your jacket,” Lynch started. “I’m going to chase you out of WWE, you have no business being there. You’ve held that title hostage for nearly a year and I’m taking it back at MetLife Stadium at WrestleMania!”

You can watch video of Becky Lynch’s promo on Ronda Rousey here:

Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair

While Lynch vs Rousey vs Flair is confirmed for the RAW Women’s championship match at WrestleMania, it is still unclear if the match will close the show, however.

There were reports last week that Vince McMahon was still undecided on which match will close the event. Some have speculated the decision won’t be made up until the afternoon of the show.

Mick Foley commented on his belief that the RAW Women’s championship match should close the show recently.

“I believe the women are going to main-event WrestleMania this year and if they don’t, I think there’ll be a mass exodus of people from around the world,” Foley said to Sky Sports.

“I believe their time has come. Becky Lynch has succeeded in becoming the biggest name in our business and I think that’s great.”

The Miz On WM Venue, If He Would Let His Kids Join WWE

The Miz recently talked to ExtraTV to promote the upcoming second season of Miz and Mrs. During the interview they also discussed a number of various topics, from WrestleMania to the ever-evolving roster of WWE and more. You can read the highlights from the interview below.

On April 7 of 2013, WrestleMania 29 was held at MetLife Stadium with an attendance of 80,676 fans. The Miz was asked about his thoughts on WrestleMania 35 returning to the Stadium.

“We did it a couple of years ago and now we’re back and there’s nothing like being in front of 80,000 people. You know, whether they’re booing. whether they’re cheering. It’s just an electricity in that stadium and it’s always absolutely incredible.”

Miz also talked about the new superstars in WWE who are more fast-paced, possess high-flying skills and how he tries to keep up with them.

“We are always evolving. And as a WWE Superstar, you know, me, I have been there for 13-plus years and now seeing these newcomers come in – they’re a lot more fast paced, a lot more athletic. They’re doing these acrobatic stuff and I’m like ‘Okay. Alright. Now I’ve gotta keep up!’ I am getting a little older but I use my brain more than my brawn sometimes.”

The Miz was asked about his thoughts on if he would support his kidsif they wanted to get into wrestling. He said that he will fully support them.

“I always look at it as whatever you wanna do with your life, I’m gonna give you all the tools that I know of that will help you do what you believe you want to do. So I’ll give them everything I possibly can – the love and support and if they wanna be a WWE Superstar then so be it. It’s given me the life I’ve always wanted. As a kid, I dreamt of being a WWE Superstar… It’s a dream come true for me so I would want that for my kids if they so want that. But if they wanna do something else, I’ll support them there too.”

Nikki Bella Admits It Will ‘Kill’ Her To See John Cena With Another Woman

Nikki Bella says it would ‘kill’ her to see ex John Cena move on with another woman.

The 35-year-old admitted to this in the finale episode of Total Bellas as she and her sister Brie Bella visited Napa Valley in California, the place where she was supposed to tie the knot with Cena.

“This is the first time I’ve been back in Napa since my big breakup and I just immediately get all those memories, but, a part of me is like okay Nicole, now you have to make new memories,” Nikki said.

The return to Napa brought a lot of past memories about her ex. “I think that’s why I was crying so much yesterday. I feel like it was the first time I just fully was starting my true grieving and healing process,” she says. The two broke up in July 2018 after staying 6 years together.

Although Nikki has moved on and is currently dating her former Dancing with the Stars partner Artem Chigvinstev, she admits that it would hurt her to see Cena move on and find someone new.

“No matter what, the next time I see him with someone it’s going to kill me,” she says. “I still have a long way to go. But honestly, I’m ready for a new me. I need it. You know what I feel like I need to do? I need to start living as if I don’t care whether it’s my ex or anyone else watching me and afraid to hurt their feelings.”

Nikki said that she just wants to “move forward.” She has been ‘casually dating’ Chigvintsev since January.

John Cena, on the other hand, is currently not scheduled to appear at WrestleMania and there is no clear creative plan for him at the moment. Though replacing Baron Corbin in Kurt Angle’s last match is being considered a possibility for him at WrestleMania 35.

Shane Strickland & Garza Jr. Joining WWE

WWE will add two more top indy talents to their ever-expanding roster.

Per a report from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, Garza Jr and Shane Strickland have both signed deals with WWE and will be reporting to the WWE Performance Center on April 9.

Garza was supposed to join the company last year but his deal fell through when he suffered a shoulder injury, which made him fail the WWE physical test. He was offered a new deal and this time was succesfully able to pass the test.

Garza will be making his last appearance at The Crash show on Saturday in Tijuana.

On March 8 at a DEFY Wrestling event, Shane Strickland said goodbye to fans and said it would be his last appearance, and said that he’s moving on for “better and bigger things.”

WWE has shown interest in the past for the former MLW Champion. He declared himself a free agent in January after being able to fulfill the rest of his Lucha Underground deal.

It would be interesting to see how these top indie stars fare in WWE and how the company handles them.

Chris Jericho Reveals All-Time Dream Opponent & Stipulation

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) star Chris Jericho recently shared a Q&A session he did with fans on the latest episode of his “Talk Is Jericho” podcast. The Q&A was recorded on his First Annual Chris Jericho Rock & Wrestling Rager At Sea cruise. During the session, Jericho revealed his all-time dream opponent, and what he’d like the match stipulation to be.

“Y2J” admitted that one of his biggest regrets was not being able to have shared the ring with the late Owen Hart. Jericho said he would’ve liked a 30-minute clown nose match with Hart:

“I think when I go through, like, my three heroes when I was a kid were Shawn Michaels, Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat, who is also here on this ship – I will be doing a live Talk Is Jericho with ‘The Dragon’. And the other one was Owen Hart. And I got to work with Shawn extensively.

“I got to work with Steamboat a bunch of times. I never got to work with Owen Hart and one of the reasons why I left WCW to go to WWE, if you have a list of 100 reasons, one of the 80 reasons or the 90th reason, or lower level reasons was ‘maybe I’ll get a chance to work with Owen Hart’ and before I got there, he passed away.

“So I never had the chance to work with Owen. I would have loved to have worked with him and I would have loved to have worked with him as a motivated performer.” Jericho added, “so if I could work with anybody, it would be Owen Hart. Stipulation: 30 minutes, clown nose match.”

Unfortunately, Hart passed away in May of 1999 after an accidental fall at the Over The Edge pay-per-view (PPV). He was 34-years-old at the time of his death. Hart was a two-time Intercontinental Champion, a four-time Tag Team Champion, and the 1994 King Of The Ring winner.

What do you think about Jericho naming Hart as his dream opponent?

WWE Donates $1 Million To Children’s Hospital

Earlier today WWE Chief Branding Officer Stephanie McMahon and Executive Vice President Triple H took place in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the UPMC Children’s Hospital.

The ceremony was to celebrate a $1 million donation from WWE to help open up the MIBG Therapy Suite. It will be the only one of its kind in western Pennsylvania. The new suite is designed to provide care for patients without needing the patient to leave the room, even if the situation is critical.

Stephanie McMahon commented that, after meeting Connor “The Crusher” Michalek, she and her husband knew they had to do something to help the fight against children’s cancer:

“This all started when we met Connor Michalek. After Connor lost his fight, Paul and I knew we had to do something and it started right here at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.”
