NWA Powerrr Episode 4 Results
Show Opening
Powerrr’s 4th episode opens with the “Into the Fire” theme song and video opening sequence. Broadcaster’s Jim Cornette and Joe Galli waste no time welcoming the fans to NWA Powerrr’s 4th episode here at the Georgia Public Broadcasting studio in Atlanta, GA as James Storm walks into the frame carrying his national heavyweight championship belt over his left shoulder.
Interview
Storm says he’s tired of coming out week after week having to prove himself as he believes his resume speaks for itself. Colt Cabana interrupts Storm saying the championship title rightfully belongs to him, adding he is 100% healthy now. A suggestion that they settle it here and now is interrupted by Eli Drake walking onto the set.
Drake reminds Storm that he holds the ticket to the world title, motioning to his Heavyweight Championship belt. Drake says Storm has been in Nick Aldis’ face for so long asking for his shot, which Aldis has yet to agree to. In that same moment Nick Aldis walks in wearing a royal blue suit holding his championship belt under his arm.
Aldis looks to Drake who says, “Hold on pal, I ain’t got a problem with you. I’m gonna tell you, if you carry that, you are the greatest thing since sliced bread. You are the greatest wrestler walking today. But what I am gonna say is this man has been asking for his shot, and I think it’s about time.” as he puts his hands up and steps back.
Without even acknowledging Drake, Aldis looks on to Storm saying Storm’s recent comments are some sort of alcohol fueled rant. Aldis continues on to say Drake doesn’t drink, smoke, or use drugs… his only downfall is that he wants to be just like Aldis.
Storm is told to find a couple partners for a six man match-up in the “square circle” by Aldis who says if he and Cabana win the match, then Cabana gets an NWA National Title shot. Storm agrees, adding he then gets his shot at the NWA World Championship Title. Aldis says on one condition, he has to give up his title, that way he has something to lose.
Before walking off, Storm tells Aldis he might wanna check his jaguar out in the parking lot as some big truck might have bumped into it, adding that he will see Aldis real soon.

Interview
David Marquez is shown backstage on the interview podium speaking with Trevor Murdoch saying he’s seen him when he was up and down, but never not smiling, asking him what’s going on. Murdoch says he wants a contract and will do whatever it takes. Murdoch follows by saying he called NWA officials and made a request of sorts, saying Jocephus should have to face him for throwing powder in Colt Cabana’s face, not be suspended.
Walking onto set, Jocephus says his spiritual advisor has sanctioned all kinds of violence against Murdoch, to which Murdoch replies “get your ass in the ring and we’ll handle business.” As Murdoch makes his way to the ring, Jocephus sneaks up from behind, throwing Murdoch into the ring post as the crowd boos.
First Match
Trevor Murdoch vs. Jocephus
Jocephus throws Murdoch into the ring where the referee is already standing in anticipation. Jocephus makes his way into the ring as well. The bell rings officially beginning the match. Jocephus attacks Murdoch with multiple headbutts and hits to the chest. Murdoch counters and gets a Short Armed Clothesline, getting Jocephus into the corner turnbuckle.
The crowd counts along as Murdoch lays into him with several blows. Jocephus seemingly attempts to throw Murdoch over the turnbuckle, failing as Murdoch lands inside the ring sloppily, as Jocephus drops to the mat himself. Jocephus goes into his tights, pulling out a ziplock baggie. Murdoch gets Jocephus with a boot to the face, exploding the powder everywhere, including into the face of Jocephus.
Murdoch doesn’t waste any time as he climbs up on the second turnbuckle and Bulldogs Jocephus to the mat, followed with a hook of Jocephus’ leg for the pin and the three count for the win.
Winner: Trevor Murdoch
Video Package
A video of Thunder Rosa applying makeup to one half of her face is shown with the word “Soon” flashing between the clips to promote her entrance to the NWA coming soon.
Interview
Joe Galli is shown at the interview podium as Aron Stevens makes his way to the mic. Galli says, “I will avert my gaze” as Stevens mumbles something in Galli’s ear. Galli turns to the crowd and says, “Mr. Stevens would like to remind all you fine folks to avoid eye contact with him at all times.”
Stevens responds to a comment made from the audience and says he is wearing a shirt, not a blouse. He reminds everyone that the last time he was there he was promoting his new movie. As he asks the crowd to call out the name of the movie, Ricky Starks walks onto the set to which Stevens repeats, “No eye contact, NO eye contact!”
Galli asks Starks what he’s doing out there, before he is able to respond Stevens pulls the mic to his direction saying, “You wanna be my stunt double” and laughs. Starks rolls his eyes and begins, “On the contrary my friend,” as he holds his hand out as if Stevens should kiss it. Stevens looks at Starks in disgust.
Starks shrugs and kisses his own hand, to which Stevens exclaims, “You. Look. Ridiculous.” Starks smiles, looks away for a moment, then slaps Stevens across the face. Galli backs up and smiles as he looks on. Starks grabs for the mic as Stevens scrambles to his feet as he’s running off backstage.
“You talk too much,” Starks calls after Stevens who is standing by one of the cameramen holding his face in shock.
Video Package

Homicide gets Dave into the corner of the ring, laying into him. Homicide uses the cord outside of the ring to choke Dave.
Folding chairs are thrown into the ring by Zane. Homicide counters and hits Zane with the chairs he threw in. Two chairs are set up, with a third laying across like a table. The Dawson’s slam Kingston through the contraption. Dawson wears Homicide out with multiple blows with the steel chair, followed by slamming all of them on top of Homicide’s body.
Dawson climbs up top for a high flying move onto Homicide who is covered with chairs, when Latimer hits Zane with a tag title belt. Isaac pulls Dave Dawson on top of Kingston for the pin.

Winner: Ashley Vox
After the Match

Fourth Match
Ricky Starks vs. Aron Stevens
Early in the match Starks is taken down by Stevens. Starks poses on the mat motioning for Stevens to “bring it”, only to roll out of the way as Stevens goes for a body slam on Starks. Starks smacks Stevens in the face, followed by a backhand to the chest. Starks sends Stevens face first into each turnbuckle for a trip around the world. Starks with a two count.
Stevens gets Starks with a low blow after he steps over the rope. Stevens bows to the crowd and winks as he tells the crowd “you’re welcome” as he gets the upper hand on Starks. Starks makes his way back to his feet with new momentum attacking Stevens. Starks bows himself, scares Stevens with a threat of another slap to the face, followed by rolling up Stevens for the pin and three count.
Winner: Ricky Starks
After the Match
Stevens is sitting in the center of the ring, arguing with the crowd saying, “No” as the crowd responds, “yes”. This goes back and forth several times as Stevens leaves the ring.
Fifth Match
James Storm, Royce Isaacs, & Thom Latimer vs. Nick Aldis, Colt Cabana, & Ken Anderson
Team Storm is introduced first, followed by Team Aldis. The six men are deciding which two will begin the match-up. Thom Latimer and Nick Aldis start the match up with a lot of fancy movements and counters. Latimer gets control momentarily, Aldis quickly regains control of the match. A lot of quick tag ins on both sides.
Anderson hits a Mic Check on Latimer. The crowd tries to help Cabana back to his feet, only to have Storm hold him in their corner without the ref seeing. Anderson takes over the ring as Storm gets back to his feet. Looking like a demolition derby as each man hits a power move, all six men end up in the ring.
Anderson takes Storm over the top rope, both men outside of the ring. Latimer is taken down, Cabana takes over and pins Latimer for the win and a chance at the NWA National Title.

Next weekend, Chris Jericho will defend the AEW World Heavyweight Championship against Cody Rhodes in the main event of AEW: Full Gear.
All Elite Wrestling has informed SEScoops that a panel of 3 esteemed judges has been named for the championship bout. In the event that Chris Jericho vs. Cody ends in a 60-minute time-limit draw, the judges will decide a winner:
“In the event there is no winner at the end of the 60-minute time limit, a panel of three esteemed judges, who will be seated at ringside, must vote for a winner. In the event there is not a unanimous choice, the majority decision will be the winner. This will ensure that a draw will not be the outcome of this World Championship title match.”
AEW’s implementation of time limit draws enhances the sports-like presentation of the product and adds another layer of urgency to each match.
We’ll provide an update when AEW announces who will be ringside judging the action on November 9th.

There is speculation that Shane McMahon could make his return to WWE television sooner than expected.
This speculation was ramped up after a video surfaced online of McMahon arriving in Saudi Arabia for the WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view event that takes place this week.
As seen in the video, McMahon is walking with his father and WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. Check it out here:
It should be noted that WWE isn’t advertising McMahon for this scheduled show, which makes it interesting that McMahon is in the country.
McMahon is not an executive for WWE and hasn’t been in years. Instead, since making his return to the company a few years ago, he has only been used as an on-air talent whether that be a general manager or wrestler.
As of this writing, there’s no word yet on if there are plans for McMahon to appear on the show.
WWE is holding a tag team turmoil match to determine the ‘Best In The World.’ This is something that McMahon played up on television after winning the WWE World Cup at last year’s Crown Jewel pay-per-view event.
McMahon was written off of WWE television earlier this month when he lost to Kevin Owens on SmackDown with the stipulation of “loser leaves WWE.”

“With that being said.. I’d like to take this time to state an apologize for not giving a shit about what others think of me. The anger I have inside of me has been built up for years now. Call me what you want, but you’ll never EVER be able to call me fake I’ve been lied too, used, and often mistreated by others who I viewed as associates. I’ve tipped toe around, kept quiet, even took some Ls when necessary.”
Myles would continue to talk about how being presented with the t-shirt design brought up past emotions for him dating back to his time in other wrestling promotions.
“Emotionally charged up due to the shirt which triggered past emotions. I’m never going to be sorry for being me nor will I take back my words.”
“For 4 years .. I gave my all to a promotion only to find out that you could only reach so high just as long as you didn’t surpass certain ‘people'”

Finn Balor recently spoke with Sports Illustrated about a wide range of topics including WWE’s competition with AEW.
When the launch of AEW’s weekly TV deal on TNT to air Dynamite came closer, WWE reached a deal with the USA Network to air NXT in the same timeslot as AEW.
According to Balor, he doesn’t know if they are competing with any promotion.
“I don’t know if we’re competing with anyone. The only person I’m competing with is myself from yesterday. I’m trying to be better than who I was yesterday. On this Wednesday, I’m going to be better than I was last Wednesday. That’s the way I approach life and that’s how I evolve.”
Balor stated that he doesn’t worry about what other people are doing but rather focused on the brand that he’s working for. He thinks NXT is the purest form of wrestling on this planet.
Balor brought up how doing what he wants in the ring with no restrictions is the greatest honor that he can have. He added that he’s treating this as an opportunity to help evolve as a performer and help change the game again.
Balor was also asked about his return which led to him turning heel.
“Everybody talks about ‘Finn going back to NXT’ when in reality I’ve gone back to who I was. I’d been caught up in the bubble of WWE and what they wanted me to be and how they expected me to perform as a character, and I took some time off to re-evaluate who I am and where I came from.
I re-evaluated what I want to do and what I want to achieve, and I decided the best thing for me is to be true to who I am.”
Balor added that he doesn’t fit the mold to play corporate ball and please everyone. Instead, he needs to please himself, which has led to him shaking the trees and see what falls out.
Balor returned to NXT on the October 2nd episode and then turned heel on last Wednesday’s episode of NXT. The fallout of that turn is expected to play out on this week’s show.

Following his victory over Erik Rowan on WWE RAW last night, Seth Rollins spoke to WWE.com regarding his upcoming match with Bray Wyatt. Rollins also commented on the disrespect he’s been receiving from the WWE Universe as of late.
“There’s been a lot of disrespect going around lately I feel like,” Rollins said. “The Fiend, you know, I get it, he’s cool man, he’s fresh and he’s new and he’s got this cult following. And that just puts a chip on my shoulder. I just feel like I’m out here every single week, busting my back, breaking my back, putting this whole company on my back sometimes and I don’t get the respect I deserve because there’s this new flavor of ice cream. And the dude’s scary, I get that too.”
“I don’t know what it’s going to take at Crown Jewel to put him away but I’m going to do whatever it takes to survive and prepare because it’s kind of what I do.”

Chris DeJoseph was one of the minds behind the unique and creative Lucha Underground program. He’s also a former writer for WWE and the performer behind the “Big Dick Johnson” character in several DX sketches. MLW has just announced they have hired DeJoseph as an Executive Producer.
MLW broke the news to SI.com today.
“Since the last season of Lucha Underground, I’ve had an itch to get back in the game,” DeJoseph said. “I’ve been watching what they’ve been doing and the steps they are taking to keep building, and I can’t wait to get my hands dirty with MLW.”
DeJoseph’s first day on the job will be Saturday’s Super Fight event, MLW’s debut on PPV.
“So much has sprouted from the alternative universe of Lucha Underground,” DeJoseph continued. “The wrestling world is exploding right now, and I’m looking forward to riding that wave.”
Noted hockey fan CM Punk appeared on Sportsnet’s 31 Thoughts show recently. He talked about his new movie, his love of hockey, Roddy Piper, and why he decided to get a tattoo of Harley Race.
During the conversation, the topic of Roddy Piper came up and how Piper would say he walked to the ring slowly so the announcers could talk about him.
“(Piper) was one of the smarter guys that I had ever fortunately been able to talk to,” Punk said. “So, that’s not a surprise to me, that just makes sense.”
“I don’t think enough people in the wrestling business today look at the business from that kind of perspective. I think a lot of people there they’re doing what they saw somebody else do on television. That’s why it’s just kind of – it feels washed, it feels repeated. I bet that Piper probably also did that because nobody else was. He’d watch everybody run to the ring, what’s the opposite of that? That’s how I thought when I was in WWE.”
Punk also spoke about his relationship with Harley Race early in his career during the interview. He is planning to get a Harley Race tattoo to commemorate the impact he had on his career.
“The Harley Race tattoo is in motion, so to speak,” Punk said during the interview. He also mentioned a tattoo he has honoring the late Mitsuharu Misawa.
“Harley was a big piece of my career whether people realize it or not,” Punk continued. “He’s somebody who deserves to be memorialized.”
Punk also talks about getting tattoos to honor Chicago sports victories, such as the Blackhawks winning the Cup and the Cubs winning the World Series.

Tenille Dashwood challenged Taya Valkyrie for the Knockouts Championship at Bound For Glory. Before the event, she sat down with journalist Chris Van Vliet for an interview. During the conversation, Dashwood mentioned she was shocked when WWE released her in 2017.
“It was actually a really big shock for me,” Dashwood said regarding her release from WWE. “I had no idea. At the time, I was in a feud with Asuka and we had just done the PPV and that was her debut, her PPV debut, I think it was her actual debut as well. We had an awesome match, I remember everyone loved it and then we had a match on RAW the night after and then basically by the end of the week, I had a call saying I was released.”
Dashwood was released in October of 2017. She would sign with Ring of Honor in February of 2018 and debuted for Impact this summer.
“From what I heard it was just that…honestly, I don’t even know because I feel like there is more to it than what I was told and it was kind of a very brief conversation and not necessarily everyone agreed or whatever it was,” she continued. “Basically, I think the boss wasn’t happy with something and that was kind of it. I was very shocked because I literally was packed to go on the European tour, so a 2-week tour overseas, had my bags packed, it was on a Sunday, I was on the way to the airport basically and got a call and was like ‘what?'”

AEW Dark returns tonight (Tuesday) for Week 4 of the popular YouTube series.
The show will be hosted by Tony Schiavone. It will feature matches that were taped last Wednesday at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, PA before and after the live episode of AEW’s weekly television show, Dynamite, on TNT.
Emi Sakura vs. Penelope Ford vs. Allie vs. Sadie Gibbs in a Fatal 4-Way Match is expected to headline the show. Matches scheduled for AEW Dark Week 4 include:
Dustin Rhodes and Sonny Kiss vs. Peter Avalon (with Leva Bates) and QT Marshall – Tag Team Match
Darby Allin vs. Jimmy Havoc vs. Jack Evans – Falls Count Anywhere Match
Emi Sakura vs. Penelope Ford vs. Allie vs. Sadie Gibbs – Fatal 4-Way Match.
Dark is AEW’s secondary program, but the promotion has not been shy about featuring marquee matches on it. The first three weeks of AEW Dark have seen strong viewership, with both delivering around 900,000 views.
Because AEW Dark airs on Tuesday nights, it gives the promotion as a chance to hype up the next episode of Dynamite to air the following night.
It appears as though former Ring of Honor World Champion Jay Lethal has suffered a broken arm during the promotion’s current Honor United tour in the United Kingdom.
According to PWInsider, the unfortunate incident took place during their show in Bolton, England on October 27th. This event was the third and final night of ROH’s U.K. tour.
The injury supposedly occurred towards the end of his match against Villain Enterprises member PCO. Apparently, Lethal shifted as PCO was landing on him, resulting in his arm being broken. The match ended with PCO defeating Jay Lethal via disqualification after Jonathan Gresham interfered.
Final Battle
His match against PCO was initially meant to be a tag team matchup. It would have featured Villain Enterprises’ PCO and Brody King teaming up against Jay Lethal and Jonathan Gresham. King, however, had suffered an injury himself, forcing the change.
Despite breaking his arm, Lethal was still able to participate in the fallout of the match. Gresham claimed that he and Lethal would continue to attack people on every show until ROH officials gave them a shot at the ROH World Tag Team Championships. This brought out the current champs, Jay and Mark Briscoe, who brawled with them.
After being pulled apart, Jay Briscoe accepted the challenge. He claimed they would defend their belts against Lethal and Gresham at ROH’s December pay-per-view, Final Battle.
At the time of writing, there is no timeframe as to how long Lethal may be out of action for or whether he will be ready for this matchup in December.
Taking to Twitter, Titus wrote that although he 100% agrees that the shirt is distasteful, he disagreed with Myles bringing others — such as Ring of Honor’s Jay Lethal — into the conversation as a means to vent his frustrations. He stated that doing so is equally distasteful and that if his cause is ‘For The Culture,’ he shouldn’t be attacking those in it.
“I AM 100% in agreement that the shirt is very Distasteful. That being said, bringing others into this to vent your frustrations or Issues THAT HAVE NOTHING to do with @WWE or the shirt is also very Distasteful. If it’s #ForTheCulture Don’t attack those in it!!”

Myles claimed that he had been lied to after WWE released a statement explaining they sought Myles’ approval of the design. He was informed by someone involved in the design process that, as Triple H “wanted this design,” his hands were tied. Myles stated that he then spoke with Triple H, who was under the impression that he had approved the controversial design.
Titus isn’t the only one to offer his thoughts and advice to Myles during this time. WWE Hall of Famer Booker T also addressed the situation on an episode of his podcast, The Hall of Fame.

WWE 2K20 Originals are a series of different DLC packs based around a different them and all-new fictional realm. They are included in both the Deluxe Edition and SmackDown! 20th Anniversary Editions of the game. If, however, you didn’t purchase those versions, they are available at $14.99 each.
2K recently addressed the negative feedback the recently released game has received from both critics and fans. They shared that they were listening closely to feedback and aware of gamers concerns and promised they are investigating and addressing issues as necessary.
John Cena was a recent guest on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. During their conversation, Cena spoke about his WWE feud with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. He also shared the advice he received from Johnson as he began to step away from the ring to ramp up his acting career.
“The Rock and I are most known for our tremendous WWE feud that broke WWE pay-per-view records, and we kind of talked a lot of trash about each other,” Cena confessed. “Now, we also had a follow-up match a year later. So we spent a year making fun of each other, and one night beating each other up, and then we’re like ‘Did we just become best friends? ‘Yep.’ So basically we were able to set aside our differences on that night. In the next year, I began to get more chances at opportunities.”
Sage Advice
Cena then reflected on doing a taped audition for the movie Trainwreck. Looking for advice, Cena turned to The Rock for his thoughts on how to best present himself for the audition.
“He gave me a piece of advice that still rings in my ears like he said it yesterday. I don’t even know if he knows this was such sage advice,” Cena said. “He just turned to me as smooth and casual as he does with everything he says, and in such an inspirational tone, as with everything he does, he was like, ‘Just be yourself, man. That’s why they asked you there in the first place.’ And that message of ‘always be authentically yourself’ has stuck with me, and created the opportunity I have. Thank you, The Rock.”
John Cena’s new movie, Playing with Fire, is released in theaters on November 8th.

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T has addressed the recent Jordan Myles controversy. The issues revolve around a design WWE created for the NXT Superstar. Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T divulged his thoughts on the matter. He shared how he had always been heavily involved with the designing of all his t-shirts since his time in WCW.
“I don’t know how this t-shirt got out without him knowing about it,” Booker said. “It’s not our job to step up and defend Jordan Myles over his t-shirt.”
Booker noted how the majority of wrestling merchandise tends to be printed on black, stating that there are “[…] a lot of negative people on social media that’s looking for anything that they can possibly find to make racial. It happens all the time.”
“I’ve Handled Every Situation”
Booker T rejected the idea that the shirt design was racially motivated, finding it hard to believe that WWE went into the process with that mindset. He added that the issues shouldn’t have been aired online, and instead should have been dealt with in private.
“I never complained to social media about any racial situation that I’ve been in and I’ll tell you right now if anybody knows me, anybody in this wrestling knows Booker T, they know exactly what I have gone through and how I’ve handled every situation.”
He continued, “There’s never been a racial issue that has gone over my head or that I’ve swept under the rug. Every single time someone has said anything racial around me, I’ve handled it. And to hear this Uncle Tom crap … I’ve known Jay Lethal. Jay Lethal’s put in almost 20 years in this business, he’s no Uncle Tom. I’ve heard people call me an Uncle Tom and if they do it, I wish they would do it to my face. Don’t do it behind those characters, don’t do it behind social media, don’t do it behind a cloak of anonymity. Do it in my face because I will show you what an Uncle Tom really looks like.”
He stressed that social media and personal business shouldn’t go together. He stated he’s going to be standing back on this situation, but made sure to add that he believes everything should have been handled differently.
Although ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt was moved to SmackDown Live during the drafts, he has continued working on the Raw brand and this week’s episode of the Red Branded Show only continued this trend.
While Wyatt was not used on TV for the show, he once again challenged the Universal Champion Seth Rollins for his title after the episode from Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri went off air.
These two faced each other in a steel cage match with The
Fiend’s signature red lighting. Seth won the bout after he delivered several
Stomps to his opponent and then climbed out of the cage.
The lights went out after the match was over and it came back to Wyatt attacking the Universal Champion with Mandible Claw. Bray kept the Claw applied for a minute. He then made his exit to end the show, leaving the Architect lying behind.
Though this wasn’t Seth’s first match of the night and he also competed against Erick Rowan in a Falls Count Anywhere match during the broadcast of the episode. The former Shield member had won this match as well.
It’s unknown how long WWE will continue using Bray Wyatt for Raw shows but it’s likely that he will start traveling with the Blue Brand permanently after his upcoming match with Seth Rollins at the Crown Jewel PPV.
Jinder Mahal had a considerably long run with the WWE Championship back in 2017, though his title reign came to an abrupt end when he lost the belt to AJ Styles during the November 7 episode of SmackDown, prior to Survivor Series.
During his recent interview with TalkSport, the former
Champion discussed a number of things and he also revealed when he found out
about his title loss.
Mahal claimed that he was told about it on the day of the
show itself, just like he had found out about his WWE title win on the day of
his victory:
“[I found out I was going to lose the title] the day of the tapings in Manchester, the day of. AJ was in and I was out just like that. That’s the thing though: I found out I was becoming WWE champion in one day. I won it in one day and I lost it in one day. But, that’s the way it goes.”
The former titleholder went on to talk about how this is an example of how things can change in WWE and he then recalled watching the various events in his childhood.
Jinder Mahal won the WWE Championship by defeating Randy
Orton in a singles match at Backlash 2017. His reign lasted for almost 170 days
before he dropped the title to AJ Styles.
Apart from this, Jinder also talked about his injury, what he plans to do in his time away from the ring and more. You can check out his full interview at this link.
