Word from within WWE is that they will go back to having two world championships once Smackdown goes live on 7/19 and the brand split kicks in. Internal speculation is that the IC Championship and the US Championship will be on separate shows and there was no word yet on plans for the Women’s Championship. There are still a lot of unknown details as many people in WWE did not know exactly what was going down.
Vince McMahon is said to be full of ideas and “pumped up” for the changes. It was also reported that WWE is expected to aggressively pursue outside talents to fill up the rosters – two main rosters and NXT.
