The New Day are now the longest-reigning tag team champions in WWE history, having surpassed the previous record (478 days) set by Demolition.
Former Demolition member Smash has since commented on his team’s long-standing record being broken. He congratulated New Day and commented on why he and Ax did not make any appearances on WWE television as part of the angle.
