SEScoops Podcast Episode 1 Hosted by Brad Gilmore w/Guest Stevie Ray

sescoops

It’s WrestleMania weekend and we’ve got a treat for everybody: the premiere episode of the SEScoops Wrestling Podcast hosted by the one and only Brad Gilmore. More on him below.

Brad is joined by a special guest, wrestling legend Stevie Ray of Harlem Heat. Stevie Ray talks about his days working for WCW, never having aspirations to compete at WrestleMania, the memorable WWE Hall of Fame induction speech he gave for his brother Booker T and more.

Brad then runs down the full WrestleMania 33 card with ‘casual fan’ and Houston-based rapper Kyle Hubbard.

We have more guests lined up for the next few weeks, so stay tuned for what’s sure to be a fun [thrill] ride. Follow Brad on Twitter at @BradGilmore and let us know what you think in the comments section.

Intro by Brad Gilmore: What’s up internets?! I’d like to formally introduce myself and this podcast. My name is Brad Gilmore, I am a radio/TV host in Houston, TX. I have the absolute privilege of working in the professional wrestling business and have now for the past 5 years.

I broke into wrestling as a broadcaster with the WWE Hall of Famer and 5-time 5-time 5-time (I’ll let you finish the rest) Booker T. His company ‘Reality of Wrestling’ has been the flagship of Texas Wrestling for over a decade now as he carries on the great tradition of Houston Wrestling, following in the footsteps of the great Paul Boesch.

I started as a ring announcer, then to the color commentator then, being the co-host of Heated Conversations with Booker which you can download on iTunes (cheap plug, brother!) and now I am a member of the Reality of Wrestling the booking committee. But, imagine sitting in a room on a weekly basis with Booker T and Bruce (well, you know) Prichard to talk and write stories for a wrestling show. To say the very least you learn a lot about the ins and outs of the business and WHY things are done.

That’s the perspective I want to bring to this podcast, I want to talk about what happened, but I want to focus on why it’s happening, and look at the show through the “booking glass” (I should trademark that). Anyways, I hope you enjoy this WrestleMania prediction show. I talk my thoughts on this years WWE Hall of Fame, talk to 10-time WCW Tag Team Champion about Goldberg and Rick Rude, then speak with my good friend and super dope rappidy rapper, Kyle Hubbard and break down the entire, and extremely long, WrestleMania 33 card. Enjoy and send all tweets of love or hate to @BradGilmore.
