The October 7, 2019 episode of WWE RAW aired live from the Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, CA. It was the first episode of RAW following WWE Hell in a Cell 2019. Here are 4 takeaways from the show:
Rusev Finally Reacted To Lashley Stealing His Wife

Rusev was set to face Randy Orton tonight but was attacked from behind by Corbin and Orton. Lashley then appeared on the jumbotron wearing Rusev’s robe and claimed that he was at his house.
Lashley stripped down to his underwear and laid in Rusev’s bed. Lana showed up and seductive music played out of nowhere. Lana then stripped to her underwear and laid with Lashley in their bed.
Lana added that everything we own is now in her name and that they don’t have joint checking accounts anymore. Lana stated that it doesn’t look like Rusev is having fun but she is. Lashley then turned off the lights as Rusev stood silently in the ring.
King Corbin and Orton laughed at Rusev as he began to get pissed off. Rusev rolled out off the ring and shoved Orton into the barricade. Rusev launched Corbin into the steel steps and followed it up with a Fallaway Slam to Orton that sent him into the barricade.
Rusev bounced Corbin’s face off the steel steps as the crowd chanted “Rusev!”. Rusev grabbed the steel steps and struck Orton before slamming them down. Rusev shouted “are you laughing at me?!” at Orton before launching him into the ring post. Rusev then hit Corbin with the Machka Kick and followed it up with another one to Orton.
Aleister Black Dominated

Aleister Black returned to his room and said that he was looking for a fight. The Singh Brothers came down to the ring and said that they wanted to pick a fight with Aleister.
Aleister accepted the challenge and quickly beat the hell out of the Singh Brothers. Aleister connected with Black Mass and then locked in a submission hold for the victory. The commentary hyped up Aleister and Lawler claimed that we could be looking at top round draft pick in the WWE Draft.
Aleister Black has lost all momentum since joining the main roster. I just hope that WWE has big plans for him following the draft. He is a unique character that is unbelievably skilled in the ring.
Bliss & Cross Sent A Message To The Kabuki Warriors

The Miz welcomed RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch to the ring for an episode of Miz TV. SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair was also a guest on Miz TV.
Miz congratulated Becky Lynch on defeating Sasha Banks last night at Hell in a Cell and ran down her accomplishments this past year. Lynch said that Banks gave her a hell of a match last night but if Sasha was here tonight she would remind her that she got her ass kicked by The Man.
The Miz pointed out that Charlotte kicked Bayley’s ass last night and pointed out that she is a 10-time champ. Lynch pointed out that Asuka defeated her last time their paths crossed and she would like to rectify that tonight. Lynch and Flair traded insults before Women’s Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors interrupted. Asuka and Kairi Sane rushed the ring and a brawl broke out as RAW went to a break.
Becky and Asuka started the match off by locking up in the middle of the ring. Asuka leveled Becky with a shoulder tackle and tagged Sane in. Kairi hit Lynch with a Double Stomp to the midsection for a near fall.
Lynch battled back with a Dropkick and tagged in Flair. Asuka tagged in as well and Charlotte hit her with a flurry of chops. Charlotte connected with a Belly to Back Suplex and followed it up with Natural Selection. Asuka rolled out of the ring to regroup with Sane but Flair took them both out with a Moonsault as RAW went toa commercial break.
When RAW returned, the Kabuki Warriors were back in control and had Flair isolated in the ring. Sane went for a Crossbody but Charlotte caught her and connected with a Fallaway Slam.
Becky tagged in and hit Sane with a couple of Clotheslines and followed it up with an Exploder Suplex. Lynch climbed to the top rope and hit Asuka with a Dropkick. Sane made her way to the top rope but Becky caught her and slammed her to the canvas. Becky climbed to the middle rope and hit a Leg Drop but Asuka broke up the cover.
Flair booted Asuka off the ring apron but Sane then hit Charlotte with a chop block from behind. As the referee was checking on Flair, Becky applied the Dis-Arm-Her on Sane. Asuka rolled into the ring and spit green mist in Becky’s eyes. Sane then rolled up Becky for the victory. After the match, Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss rushed the ring and attacked the Kabuki Warriors. Bliss and Cross stood tall and posed in the ring to conclude the segment.
Braun Strowman & Tyson Fury Brawled

Tyson Fury was interviewed backstage by Charly Caruso. Fury claimed that he was not provoking Strowman and demanded an apology from Braun tonight. Fury added that if he doesn’t get an apology, Braun is going to get some of these hands.
Tyson Fury then came down to the ring in the “main event” of this week’s show. Lawler interviewed Fury and asked him about Strowman confronting him. Tyson demanded that Strowman come down to the ring and apologize to him.
Braun’s music hit and Strowman marched down the entrance ramp. Braun grabbed a microphone as the crowd chanted “get these hands!”. Strowman claimed that he was messing around at first but saw the look in Fury’s eyes.
Strowman told Tyson that the last thing he should want to do is get in his ring because he will literally eat him for lunch. Fury pointed out that he is the Heavyweight Champion and asked Braun how many titles has he won. Braun launched Fury to the corner and WWE security quickly separated them.
Tyson took out all the security surrounding him and challenged Strowman to do the same. Braun obliged and the two traded some shots in the ring. The WWE locker room rushed the ring to once again try to separate them as a handful of people chanted “let them fight!”. They both broke free a couple of times and battled some more before Strowman made his way backstage. Strowman then ran back down the ramp and brawled some more with Fury as RAW went off the air.
WWE ran a brief video package about Seth Rollins and The Fiend’s disastrous match last night during tonight’s show. They knew the crowd was going to boo Rollins out of the building so they smartly kept him off tonight’s show. RAW was very boring this week and was a total throwaway show before the draft this Friday. I feel bad for anyone that paid money to attend tonight’s show.
