nZo (formerly known as Enzo Amore) was interviewed by Chris Van Vliet recently and spoke about his appearance at Survivor Series last year, gave an update on Big Cass, and also had something to say to Joey Janela, Simon Gotch, and Tama Tonga.
“I spoke to him yesterday,” Enzo said of Big Cass. “He’s doing everything he possibly can to be the best version of himself. Will we ever see him in tights again? Honestly, I can’t tell you, I have no idea. I just know one thing, that the best friend that I had is not the same guy that’s been walking around the past couple of years.”
Enzo then continued to say he hopes Cass can inspire other people going through mental health issues once he’s in a good place.
“The things he’s been dealing with mentally, I can’t relate to,” Enzo continued. “Just because I can’t relate, I’ve had to learn that it doesn’t mean I can’t understand because it’s real. Mental health is real and I saw it first-hand, it’s real and this guy is going through something that I would consider a disease and other people are going through that. If he can come out of this thing and inspire people in ways that Tyson Fury has, that’s a new purpose for him.”
nZo Sends Message To His Haters
Also during the interview, nZo commented on some of his detractors including Simon Gotch, Joey Janela, and Tama Tonga.
“Simon Botch? Simon Botch who nearly killed me? Listen, here’s the way I feel about it. I have no breath in my lungs to say that name ever again. You get nothing from me, kid, you get nothing, learn how to work,” Enzo said. “Then, the other one, Joey (Janela), you’re never going to hear me say his name either and I have my reasons.”
He would continue to talk about Tama Tonga and the worked-invasion angle at the Madison Square Garden show this spring.
“If you’re going to blackball me Tama Tonga, the gatekeeper of New Japan, throw a hissy fit, got upset that he got worked just like everybody else did that day. That’s what we love about pro-wrestling. Now, if you’re not in on it and you get upset about it and you have the nerve to throw shade at my name who did nothing to you aside take spotlight from you, that’s all I did. If you have a problem with getting over, that ain’t my problem.”
