The Young Bucks put the AEW Tag Team Championships on the line when they battled former AEW World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston.
As seen at Sunday’s (May 30, 2021) AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view event in Jacksonville, Florida at Daily’s Place, the match had some brawling even before it started.
The Bucks hit the Meltzer Driver to Moxley on the rampway and he was busted open on his forehead. At one point, Moxley locked in a rear-naked choke to Matt, but Nick hit a 450 splash to Moxley for a near fall. The finish saw Moxley take 4 BTE Triggers to drop the loss for his team.
Back on the May 19th edition of Dynamite, Kingston and Moxley laid out The Young Bucks after they successfully defended the titles against The Varsity Blonds. Moxley and Kingston put them down with stereo sleeper holds then took off the Bucks’ Dior shoes and took them.
The Young Bucks previously defended the titles on pay-per-view was against Chris Jericho and MJF at the AEW Revolution event this past March. Last November, the Bucks won the tag team titles from FTR at the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event last November.
