The historical reign as SmackDown Tag Team Champions for Rey & Dominik Mysterio has come to an end.
As seen at Sunday’s WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view event in Fort Worth, Texas at Dickies Arena, The Usos beat the father-son tag team to become the SmackDown Tag Team Champions for the seventh time. The finish saw Jimmy roll up Rey for the win with help from his brother.
The Mysterio’s won the titles from Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode back in May at the WWE WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view event. This marked the first time that a father and son had held the straps together in WWE.
This past Friday night on SmackDown, The Usos teamed with Universal Champion Roman Reigns against The Mysterio’s and Edge in a six-man tag team match to further push their storylines.
Earlier this month, Jimmy Uso was arrested for DUI in Pensacola, Florida at around 10:35 PM local time after he allegedly ran a red light while being clocked going 50 MPH in a 35 MPH zone.
He failed the field sobriety tests as his BAC breath tests came back at .202 and .205, which is higher than Florida’s legal limit of .08. He was booked on a misdemeanor DUI charge.
This was the second time within the last two years that he has been accused of drunk driving. In 2019, he was found not guilty. He was also arrested for DUI several years ago.
