Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels will have a hero’s welcome when he appears at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event this month in his native San Antonio, Texas. On this week’s SmackDown, it was announced that Michaels will oversee a contract signing between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens at the January 25, event. Owens and Rhodes will hand-over their respective WWE Championships which will be on the line at the Royal Rumble in a ladder match.
Rhodes and Owens have been at odds since WWE Bad Blood, where Owens attacked Cody following the show. Owens has claimed that Rhodes turned on him by agreeing to team with Roman Reigns. The issues between the pair grew uglier after Saturday Night’s Main Event, where Owens delivered a package piledriver to Rhodes after the show.
