Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair have punched their tickets to WrestleMania 41 by winning this year’s Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble matches. Though these were historic wins for both Superstars, not every WWE fan is on board with what transpired in Lucas Oil Stadium.
On YouTube, WWE shared a clip of Flair becoming the first-ever two-time Women’s Royal Rumble winner. While this was a huge moment for Flair, the video has been met with thousands upon thousands of dislikes, far more than those who liked the video.
This response comes after years of fans taking issue with Flair’s booking, believing she is handed opportunities that others would benefit more from. WrestleMania 41 will mark Flair’s eigthth championship match at WrestleMania, a feat that many in WWE today have yet to accomplish even once.
The response to Jey Uso’s shocking win has also been mixed among fans. While some have praised WWE for giving a genuine surprise, many believe the spot was wasted on Jey. On X (formerly Twitter) fans shared their issue with Jey’s victory and Triple H’s booking.
WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce has confirmed that both Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair will be on tonight’s show, likely to address their WrestleMania prospects. It remains to be seen what response the pair receive as many are far from pleased with this year’s Royal Rumble winners.
