WWE taped Monday’s RAW from Hartford, Connecticut. Credit to Bill Pritchard & WrestleZone.com for this report:

We kick things off with the return of Stephanie McMahon, and she says it’s good to be back but she needs to talk business. She says her husband, HHH, went through two brutal matches at Extreme Rules and on RAW, and eventhough he is medically cleared, she is barring him from competing. Stephanie says she is thinking about her family and business, and this isn’t about the fans, so she hopes they try not to be so selfish. ‘No Chance’ cuts her off and Vince McMahon makes his way out, and he says it seems like the fans are happy to see him. Vince says he doesn’t often do it, but he has a personal request, and he doesn’t want them to boo Stephanie, because she is right and they should have some compassion.

Vince says HHH has given everything, and they care more about him than the fans do, so he will say it again and HHH will not compete here tonight. Vince says they want too much from him, and WWE is entertainment, but it’s not a bloodsport so he needs to address what the fans want. He says Kofi Kingston got put through a table and they chanted ‘one more time,’ but there will be no more for HHH and he thinks Curits Axel is beneath his son-in-law. The Shield cuts them off and makes their way to the ring, and we get back to see Vince and Stephanie have left the ring and we are ready for six man tag action.

We cut to see Daniel Bryan walking backstage and kicking a table, then he runs into Ryback who tells him to watch what he’s doing. Bryan asks if he’ll put him through a three tables like Kofi Kingston, then Ryback laughs and says he had the flu and had pukes bigger than Bryan. He starts to talk about Punk’s accomplishments but Jericho cuts him off and says he doesn’t give a damn, because all he cares about is Punk showing up at Payback. Heyman smirks and signs the contract, then he slides it to Jericho and tells him he has a question for him. Heyman asks if he’s really ready to face his client in Chicago, because they might cheer him tonight, but Chicago is a biased and they will be behind Punk no matter what.
