Impact Wrestling Ratings, Former WCW Star Passes Away

– Former WCW wrestler Mark Starr (real name, Mark Ashford-Smith) has passed away at 50-years-old. Starr worked as an enhancement talent during the Monday Night Wars and tagged with Chris Kanyon as part of the Men at Work tag team, before retiring. No official cause of death is known at this time.

– Thursday’s 6/6 edition of Impact Wrestling on Spike TV drew only a 0.91 rating with an average of 1.1 million viewers for the two hour show. This number is up from the previous week’s alarming 0.83 rating. The show featured the debut of MMA star Rampage Jackson, but went up against Game 7 of the NBA Eastern Conference finals. So far, TNA has not had great success in their “new” timeslot of 9pm (EST).
