Mercedes Mone x Megan Thee Stallion: Former Sasha Banks Stuns At CrunchyRoll Anime Awards

Mercedes Mone is not staying inside as she prepares for her expected AEW debut. She recently made a big splash at the CrunchyRoll Anime Awards, and she was also in great company during the event.

Mone dazzled on the carpet before the show, and she was also a presenter. In the process, the former WWE Superstar was also able to hang out with Megan Thee Stallion for a bit.

Mone Invades CrunchyRoll Anime Awards

Mercedes Mone’s upcoming AEW debut has stirred discussion, and her next destination could be a big deal for herself and the company. As well as being scheduled to make her AEW debut soon, Mone will also be making an appearance as a presenter at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards. Prior to the event, she revealed a fresh appearance.

Crunchyroll was pleased to announce that Mercedes Mone will serve as a presenter at the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, generating significant anticipation for the ceremony.

Taking to Twitter, Mercedes Mone shared a snapshot of herself on the red carpet ahead of the awards, showcasing her new appearance, which received praise from her fans.

Mone has already been associated with AEW for some time before her debut at AEW Big Business. The thought is that she’s been drawing a paycheck from them for a while. It remains to be seen how she will fare as a presenter at the Awards show.

Mone shared a series of photos on her Twitter account featuring rapper Megan Thee Stallion as well. The encounter wasn’t unexpected, considering both Mone and Stallion are avid Anime enthusiasts.

Mone captioned one of the photos with, “Only for the anime Hotties Krew #animeawards,” showcasing her time with Meg.

What’s Next for Megan Thee Stallion and Mercedes Mone

It remains to be seen if Megan Thee Stallion will venture into AEW following Mercedes Mone’s debut. Then again, you never know who Tony Khan will book at this point in an attempt to revive public interest in his company.

Cody Rhodes May Get Fresh WWE Entrance For WrestleMania 40

Cody Rhodes’ entrance is beloved by pro wrestling fans all over, especially those who are fans of crowd participation. It appears that he may get a fresh coat of paint on that entrance for the grandest stage of them all.

Downstrait, the band behind Cody’s Kingdom entrance, recently teased something in the works. Although we’re not sure what is going on, something is brewing for his adrenaline pumping song.

Teasing Cody Rhodes Song Revamp

The band’s official Twitter/X account posted a little graphic of a skull with a crown. This short video file didn’t have any sound, but it flickered to reveal this iconic symbol.

The caption that Downstrait picked simply said, “Adrenaline…” That is, of course, the first word of Cody Rhodes’ entrance music. We will have to see what they have planned.

WWE will often bring in a live performance, so the actual artist behind a song can perform at the showcase of the immortals. Only time will tell if they have a similar presentation planned, but there are a couple of occasions to get this done.

WWE’s Plan for Cody at WrestleMania 40

Cody Rhodes will be double-booked for WrestleMania 40. He will compete alongside Seth Rollins against The Rock and Roman Reigns during the first night of the show of shows, with him capping off the second night against Reigns in a singles match for the Undisputed Universal Title.

The Rock made the stipulation for that tag team match on night one very interesting during SmackDown this week. If the Bloodline wins, then it will be Bloodline rules at Mania for Cody’s match against Roman. However, if the babyfaces can beat The Rock and Roman Reigns in a tag team match, then the Bloodline will be barred from night two of WrestleMania.

Days until WrestleMania XL: 35

WWE:

– WWE had to black out the screen multiple times during The Rock’s SmackDown promo due to a fan sign that said, “Die, Rocky, Die.” Apparently, that is too hot for TV now.

– The Rock dropped an epic 21-minute promo on Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins before SmackDown this week.

– They also switched up The Rock and Roman Reigns’ usual producer this week.

– Dakota Kai turned on Bayley during SmackDown, so the former Hugger has zero friends going into WrestleMania. 

– The Peacemaker’s second shooting season may keep John Cena from appearing at WrestleMania 40.

– WWE 2K24 announced their new MyRISE mode in the upcoming game. You can check out the trailer below.

AEW:

– It turns out that Tony Khan got permission from Martha Hart before doing the spot with Sting coming down from the rafters. 

– Miro revealed that he’s been injured since September. He was replying to a tweet claiming that Tony Khan said he was supposed to be in the Meat Madness match, but it didn’t happen. That quite turned out to be fake as well, so Miro didn’t even need to reply at all. 

– QT Marshall believes that CM Punk never got to finish his story in AEW. While speaking to Bill Apter, he said, “Yes and no. I don’t think he got to finish his story, even at AEW. That’s become the term now, the phrase, ‘Finish the story.’ I think being in AEW, it kind of gave him his confidence, to know that the people were still there for him and he could still do it. Why not? If you’re gonna do it, and you can’t do it at AEW anymore for whatever the reasons were, go back to WWE, if willing to give him a chance. I always liked him backstage. But I didn’t think it was gonna be out of the realm that he would go back.”

What WWE Was Censoring From Live Crowd During SmackDown This Week

The Rock and Roman Reigns tore up the first forty minutes of SmackDown this week. The crowd in Alabama were also on fire, and their chants were a bit too hot for television.

It seems that they are censoring a lot more than just the F-Bomb. The classic “Die Rocky, Die” sign was blacked out this week on the show.

Bleeping Revealed

According to a report from PW Insider, FOX bleeped out “Die Rocky, Die” from the live fans. A lot of fans were really curious to know what was so bad that FOX kept hitting the censor key. Now, we know that it was a wish of death.

The Rock is a great heel, and he riled up the “Meth Head Marys” and “Crack Head Karens” in Alabama. They ate it up, and it seems that their response, although it was exactly what The Rock was looking for, FOX didn’t like to hear such a morbid chant from the fans at home.

For those of you wondering about why there have been random blackouts on tonight’s Smackdown broadcast on FOX, we are told that a fan has a “DIE ROCKY DIE” sign that the network is censoring.

What’s Next For This

Some may say that they are getting a bit touchy with this decision to edit out, “Die Rocky, Die,” and we have to wonder what they will censor next. In the meantime, it seems that fans have plenty to get riled up about on the road to WrestleMania.

WWE SmackDown is in Dallas next week, where Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins will answer The Rock’s challenge for a tag team match at WrestleMania 40. Only time will tell what those fans will say to get FOX to hit the bleep button, but everything is bigger in Texas.

WWE SmackDown Switch-Up: The Rock & Roman Reigns’ Segment Saw Backstage Change

The Rock and Roman Reigns opened up SmackDown this week, and they took up over 40 minutes of the program. This was quite a long segment, but odds are the ratings will prove that The Rock means viewership. Now we have a few new details about how things went down.

Sean Ross Sapp reported a few notes about SmackDown’s opening segment this week on Fightful Select. It seems that they didn’t have the usual producer at the helm.

WWE Made Change to the Usual Situation

Michael Hayes typically oversees the production of Roman Reigns segments, Bloodline-connected segments, and even those involving individuals set to feud with Bloodline. However, it is reported that his name was notably absent from Friday’s run sheet. Instead, lead producer Jason Jordan was credited as the producer for both segments.

Predictably, The Rock’s segment ran significantly over time, prompting immediate adjustments to be made. This may be worth it in the end, because a ton of eyes were on that segment.

Michael Hayes typically produces all of Roman Reigns segments and matches. It will be interesting to see if he starts sharing that big responsibility. If anything, Jason Jordan certainly seemed to do a great job stepping into that slot.

What’s Next For The Rock

The Rock and Roman Reigns will be on SmackDown next week as they roll into Dallas. They will accept Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes’ decision after The Great One laid down a challenge for WrestleMania this week.

WWE Return: Rey Mysterio Makes Heroic Comeback During March 1st SmackDown

Rey Mysrerio did not return at the Royal Rumble as many thought he would. The WWE Hall of Famer did make his comeback on the road to WrestleMania, and now he is back on the blue brand after the March 1st episode.

During WWE SmackDown this week, Rey Mysterio returned to action. He did so with a huge pop, and in babyface fashion to help out the LWO, picking up things where he left them months ago prior to his absence.

Rey Mysrterio’s Return

After nearly four months of recovery following knee surgery, Rey Mysterio made his return to WWE on the latest episode of SmackDown. The veteran wrestler wasted no time in reigniting his feud with Santos Escobar, lending his support to Carlito in a heated street fight against Escobar.

During the match, Legado del Fantasma’s Angel and Humberto intervened, prompting Mysterio to intervene. Despite the attempted interference from Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro, Mysterio emerged, albeit on crutches, to confront the heels.

Initially feigning that he wasn’t cleared to compete, Mysterio then turned his crutches into weapons against Angel and Humberto. Following a tense standoff with Escobar, Carlito seized the opportunity to spit an apple in Escobar’s face, setting the stage for a dramatic turn of events.

As Wilde and Del Toro neutralized Angel and Humberto, Mysterio executed his signature 619 on Escobar, creating an opening for Carlito to drive Escobar through a table for the victory. The LWO, including Carlito, Mysterio, Wilde, Del Toro, and Zelina Vega, celebrated their hard-earned triumph together.

Rey Mysterio’s Injury

Mysterio’s return marks the culmination of a grueling rehabilitation process from a torn meniscus suffered in November. Despite working through the pain for months before undergoing surgery, Mysterio’s determination has paid off with a faster-than-expected recovery.

In a storyline twist, Mysterio’s injury was attributed to an attack by Escobar, fueling the animosity between the two wrestlers that came to a head in their intense SmackDown showdown.

Cody Rhodes Claps Back To The Rock’s Relentless Promo With A Meme

The Rock has a new favorite enemy in Cody Crybabies, and he let loose in a 21-minute video today. A ton of people sat down and watched the whole thing, but Cody Rhodes couldn’t be bothered.

Although he was a direct target of this new video drop from The Rock, the American Nightmare had to comment that he didn’t have time to watch the whole thing. He was able to let everyone know what he was thinking with the help of a meme.

Cody Rhodes responded to The Rock’s long video without directly referencing it. This as the kind of post where if you knew what Cody was talking about, then there was no doubt.

The meme that Cody Rhodes dropped simply said that he couldn’t have the time to watch the whole video. That being said, he feels for whatever the subject of the video might be.

A ton of fans caught this passive-aggressive post, and they commented in a big way. It is now making the rounds, and it doesn’t seem that Cody was shaken at all by The Rock’s video. If anything, Cody’s response won a lot of fans over. 

Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins received a WrestleMania challenge from The Rock. The Great One proposed that a tag team match should go down on night one of the show of shows, with the stipulation directly influencing the second night’s main event.

We will have to see how this pans out, but the road to WrestleMania has certainly been interestingly so far.

Bad News For Bayley: Dakota Kai Turns On Her During WWE SmackDown

Bayley won the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match, and then she staked her claim against IYO Sky at the show of shows. It seemed that Bayley would have, at least, one ally for the showcase of the immortals, but that is not the case.

The Kabuki Warriors defended the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against Bayley and Dakota Kai this week on SmackDown. Many fans wondered if a title change would be in the cards, but they got a lot more. This was not Bayley’s lucky moment, either.

Just as Bayley was crawling to her corner for a hot tag for Kai, she jumped off the apron. This was a big heel turn, and it left Bayley all alone.

It didn’t take much time for Asuka and Kairi Sane to take out Bayley in easy fashion. Then there was a four-on-one attack on Bayley. 

It appears that Bayley is going into WrestleMania 40 as a huge underdog. She will have nobody in her corner from the look of it, but she also might thrive in that underdog role.

After the match, Damage CTRL was very happy with themselves backstage. Then Jade Cargill stepped around the corner to confront them. Nothing happened at that time, but that definitely planted the seeds of something big in the future.

The Rock Sets Up New WrestleMania 40 Match During WWE SmackDown

The Rock shook up the road to WrestleMania in a huge way when he returned to WWE television to insert himself into the situation. What followed was a turbulent road where The Great One was forced to change his mind on the Mania match he wanted. Now we find ourselves in the situation today,

Roman Reigns and The Rock kicked things off for SmackDown this week on FOX. The Bloodline was in rare fashion, and Dwayne Johnson was already on fire, ready to rip into some candy asses on the blue brand.

Before The Rock even came out, Roman threatened to leave, because he didn’t like how the fans reacted to him. They booed him out of the building instead of acknowledging him. Then Paul Heyman hyped The Rock’s intro, after a commercial break.

The Rock came out to end the commercial break, and he had a lot to say. He started out by asking if the fans were sure that they wanted to boo him. Then The Rock dragged the crowd, because Phoenix is the #1 location for cocaine and meth use. This was a brutal promo, where he said that the fans finally have something worth shooting into their veins.

“Rocky” chants came after he said, “finally The Rock is back in Arizona.” Then he said that pro wrestling is cool again. He followed that by saying that Cody Rhodes is not cool.

The Rock addressed Cody’s challenge to go one-on-one against The Great One. He then gave his answer to Cody’s match, “no.” Everyone, including every woman in the arena wants to go one-on-one against The Rock. This received a response, but he told the “Crack Head Karens” and “Meth Head Marys” that they can’t handle his 22 inches, of course, he was talking about his biceps.

Dwayne Johnson dragged Cody a bit for challenging him with such a big match coming up. Then he laid down a counter-offer. Night One of WrestleMania 40 will be The Rock and Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. 

If the babyfaces win, then The Bloodline will not be at ringside for the Universal Title match on night two. If the heels win, then it will be Bloodline rules for their Universal Title match.

The Rock said that they will be in Dallas next week for SmackDown so they can get their response first-hand.

Before the segment ended, Roman Reigns told The Rock that he needed one thing: “Acknowledge me.” The Rock took a beat, removed his glasses, and he did just that, “Roman Reigns, my family, I acknowledge you as my Tribal Chief.” That drew quite a response from the crowd as they locked hands and hugged. This was followed by massive “You Sold Out” chants from fans.

Tony Khan Got Owen Hart’s Widow Dr. Martha Hart’s Permission Before Lowering Sting From Rafters

Sting surprised fans as he lowered from the rafters during his final appearance on AEW Dynamite. After that went down, plenty of fans were discussing things, and Owen Hart’s name was brought into the conversation. It seems that Tony Khan knew this was coming.

Owen Hart’s name trended on Google after Sting was lowered from the rafters. That stunt was nixed on a weekly basis after Hart’s tragic death at Over the Edge in 1999. Tony Khan reached out to make sure this was okay beforehand.

Tony Khan Contacted Martha Hart

Sting made what could potentially be his final descent from the rafters during the latest episode of AEW Dynamite.

Although Sting’s use of the entrance sparked discussions about its associated risks and potential insensitivity, Fightful Select reports that AEW and Tony Khan took proactive steps. They reached out to Martha Hart, Owen Hart’s widow, to discuss the spot and obtain her approval.

Martha ultimately gave her blessing for the entrance to proceed, leading to its inclusion in the show. In the end, Sting’s rafters stunt was a boost of nostalgia, and it was also approved by Owen Hart’s widow.

Sting utilizing the entrance led to some reference the dangers associated with the entrance and perceived insensitivities. However, we’re told that AEW and Tony Khan actually called Martha Hart in preparing for the spot to confer with her. Martha ended up giving her blessing, which is why the entrance happened.

That marked Sting’s first rafter drop since his entrance at TNA Slammiversary in 2007. Prior to that, his last one was in WCW back in 2000. Following the tragic passing of Owen Hart in May 1999, Sting had used this entrance sparingly.

Dr. Martha Hart and AEW have worked closely in the past. She agreed to let the company put out the first official Owen Hart merchandise in years. Now, they have a good relationship, and the company has run two Owen Hart Classic tournaments so far.

What’s Next For Sting in AEW.

Sting’s last match will go down at AEW Revolution this Sunday, live on pay-per-view. He will team with Darby Allin to take on The Young Bucks with the AEW World Tag Team Titles on the line.

SummerSlam 2024 has been rumored for Cleveland, as Sean Ross Sapp hinted months ago. I’m told that through sources, WWE is close to finalizing a deal with Cleveland Browns Stadium to host the event on Saturday, Aug 3. Formal announcement should come in April.

SummerSlam has included some massive matches in recent memory, often rivaling WrestleMania in some respects. It is the biggest one-day event that WWE can hold. With TKO as a part of the picture, only time will tell what else they plan out for this year’s event.

The Rock Regrets Not Patching Things Up With Father Rocky Johnson Before His Passing

The Rock comes from a rich family lineage in pro wrestling, and he will never forget what his father did for him and many others. The People’s Champion recently shared a candid message about his father, while revealing a big regret he still harbors.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently shared on his Twitter/X account to deliver some flowers to his late father. Rocky Johnson, alongside Tony Atlas, achieved wrestling history as the first-ever Black Heavyweight Tag Team Champions in WWE.

Rocky’s journey was marked by challenges, yet his son said he paved the way for men of color in sports and sports entertainment.

The Rock concluded his heartfelt post with a poignant farewell to his dad, reaffirming their eventual reunion. He regrets not being able to patch things up and get other their complicated situation prior to Johnson’s passing.

Just delivering flowers to heaven to my old man, Rocky “Soulman” Johnson. My dad, along with “Mr USA”, Tony Atlas made pro wrestling history by becoming the first ever Black Heavyweight Tag Team Champions for the WWE.

John Cena’s Peacemaker Season 2 Commitments Could Impact WrestleMania 40 Role

I exclusively reported here at SEScoops on February 23rd that John Cena is trying to make it back to do something at WrestleMania. Now, we have a bit more information on his schedule.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that there is talk within WWE of Cena coming back to Mania for some kind of involvement. It wasn’t noted exactly what they are talking about for Cena, but he will have to work around the filming for Peacemaker’s second season.

Cena will soon be filming a second season of “Peacemaker.” There has been some talk about Cena at Mania. It’s basically up to his acting schedule and if there is something going on. If there is, he may appear but couldn’t do anything that would be deemed a risk. We were told that if he does appear, the idea is to do something fun, short and memorable and with substance

What’s Next for John Cena

Peacemaker’s first season was a big hit on MAX. Now, season 2 is coming at fans, but that might not keep Cena away from the bright lights of WrestleMania 40. Obviously, Big Match John would love to be at the showcase of the immortals in some fashion this year, even if he can’t wrestle.

John Cena’s next movie, Ricky Stanicky, drops on Amazon Prime on March 7th. That will be quite an adventure for fans, as it also gave him a chance to start his first OnlyFans venture.

WWE 2K24 MyRISE Gives Multiple Story Options For Gamers With Unleashed and Undisputed Mode

Pro wrestling fans and gamers often come together for the yearly 2k video game drops, just to see what the company has in store. Now, we have even more information on the MyRISE feature, and this should keep players entertained for hours.

WWE 2K24 is going to offer fans a ton of gameplay options. The popular feature MyRISE is coming back, and in the latest installment, the gaming franchise will unveil two captivating storylines: Unleashed and Undisputed.

WWE 2K24 MyRISE

2k has dropped even more information about the upcoming MyRISE feature in WWE 2K24. With 80 rewards awaiting players, including arenas, Paybacks, entrances, MyFACTION cards, and championship belts, gamers are set for an immersive journey. Over 6 hours of dialogue, complete with voiceovers from WWE icons like Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, Mick Foley, and Shotzi, promise an engaging experience.

In Unleashed, the focus shifts to the women’s division storyline, where players embody a wrestler carving her path by her own rules. From building a thriving wrestling company on the indie scene to grappling with the opportunity to showcase their talents on WWE’s grand stage, players face crucial decisions: to unleash their full potential or hold back.

WWE 2K24 MyRISE Extras

William Regal reprises his role as the General Manager of Raw in both narratives, aiding players in navigating backstage rivalries. In Unleashed, Regal serves as a confidant, guiding players through the intricacies of larger-than-life WWE characters, urging them to “take big swings” and “live the fantasy.”

Undisputed also offers players significant choices, including aligning with SmackDown GM The Miz, leading to unique storylines, cutscenes, and alliances. Whether players opt to collaborate with Miz or oppose him, each decision shapes their gaming experience.

Miro Reveals Injury Is Keeping Him Off AEW Television

Miro has been out of action from AEW for a while, and that only adds to the growing trend of The Redeemer missing television for the company. This time, he has a very good reason for being out of action, even if Tony Khan may not be 100% aware.

Although Khan recently stated that he wanted to book Miro for a match at AEW Revolution, it seems that he was not clued in to the Bulgarian star’s physical situation. Apparently, Miro is injured, and he has been since last year.

Miro Speaks On AEW Absence

During a media call for AEW Revolution, Tony Khan shared insights about initially planning for Miro and Keith Lee to participate in the Meat Madness match at Revolution. However, these plans were scrapped due to the unavailability of both wrestlers.

Miro saw a tweet about what the AEW President said as a fan posted, “Tony Khan on the Revolution media call confirms that Miro and Keith Lee were supposed to be in Meat Madness before the match was cancelled, as they’re both unavailable at this time.”

In response to Khan’s comments, Miro took to Twitter to shed light on his absence, revealing that he has been nursing an injury since September of last year, and he underwent medical treatment in January. He clarified that Khan was unaware of his injury until then, but he did not disclose the nature of his affliction.

”I’ve been injured since September and i got medical attention in January. Sorry he wasn’t aware of it.”

What’s Next For Miro In AEW

Miro has been a member of the AEW roster since 2020. He has also held the TNT Title during his tenure, but has seen limited success beyond that. We will have to see if he can stay healthy and active on AEW’s roster long enough to get himself into another title picture.

Following Miro’s victory over Andrade El Idolo at AEW Worlds End last year, where CJ Perry’s betrayal played a pivotal role, Miro has been noticeably absent from AEW television. Now that Miro has spoken on the matter, we have to wonder how much more time he has left to wait.

WWE:

– WWE’s creative is aware Tama Tonga is coming, but they have not been given any direction for him yet. I was told this is “Not surprising because he’s probably not in before WrestleMania.” So, don’t expect Tonga for Mania.

– John Cena is pretty hyped about the Peacemaker getting into the new Mortal Kombat Game.

– On another Cena note, he was also recently locked out of his Twitter/X account due to his questionable OnlyFans activity.

– Pat McAfee said there’s no way he could pass a drug test to compete at WrestleMania 40, because of all the “rich guy stuff” he’s taking.

– R-Truth can’t tell the difference between Johnny Gargano and Shawn Michaels, and we are starting to see a trend forming here.

– WWE, WWE 2K24 and Snickers are teaming up again for a WrestleMania sponsorship.

– The Rock may be a heel on the road to WrestleMania, but he recently gave big to a family who lost their daughter to cancer.

– A former WWE writer claims that they were punished for not wanting to produce racially insensitive content.

AEW:

– Sting said that he could have ended his career with a match against The Undertaker if that happened in WWE. It did not, so now he will wrap things up at AEW Revolution on Sunday.

– Tony Khan also said that AEW is well-equipped to handle any allegations of misconduct.

– It looks like Mercedes Mone won’t be exclusive to AEW, because she has responded to Giulia’s challenge. This situation could get very interesting with the former Sasha Banks in AEW.

– Tony Khan is looking to bump AEW’s pay-per-view count to around 9 a year, which he believes is the “sweet spot.”

Pat McAfee: No Way I Could Pass A Drug Test To Compete At WrestleMania 40

Pat McAfee has wrestled at WrestleMania in the past, but that isn’t happening this year. Due to his current drug intake, the publicly traded company with a Wellness Policy wouldn’t sign off on the former NFL kicker doing his thing in the squared circle.

McAfee discussed his connection with WWE during an appearance on the “All The Smoke” podcast with hosts Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. When questioned about his potential participation in WrestleMania 40, McAfee expressed doubt, citing concerns about his ability to pass a drug test.

Pat McAfee Won’t Compete At WrestleMania

In response to whether he’ll be competing at WrestleMania 40, McAfee admitted uncertainty due to his current regimen. Explaining his pursuit of “rich guy stuff” post-retirement to maintain his physique, McAfee acknowledged experimenting with various substances. Despite lacking awareness of the long-term effects, McAfee pondered potential health risks but remained open to futuristic solutions, including cryogenic preservation.

McAfee was asked if he knew about the long-term effects of the drugs he’s taking. He does not, as he continued to say, “Am I gonna die? Who knows. Probably. They say everybody is. But is this one gonna take years off my life? Maybe. But was that gonna happen anyways?”

The RAW announcer went on to say that if something is going to kill him that will be cured someday, “I would like to be frozen until we find the cure. Bring my ass back 2120, two thousand, one hundred twenty years in there. Think about me getting dropped in that society. I’ll be f*cking pumped up about it.”

In the end, Pat McAfee conceded that he has too much in his bloodstream to pass a WWE physical at the moment. So, he won’t be competing at WrestleMania 40.

All that being said, I don’t think I could pass any drug tests for a WrestleMania, because they drug test people so that’s real deal… and I’m on everything I think they’re testing for.

WWE’s stringent drug testing policies and McAfee’s current substance intake nixes the chances of that happening this year. That being said, he will likely be on commentary during the show of shows, as he calls the action in the ring.

Sting Says He Could Have Ended Career With Match Against The Undertaker

Sting is retiring on Sunday at AEW Revolution, and this is a time when fans can look back at his legendary career. Sadly, they do not have a match against The Undertaker to remember, because it never happened.

The Undertaker and Sting never had their Icon vs Dead Man match that fans wanted to see. Sting wanted to see that match happen too, and he said that he could have ended his career on that note.

Sting Laments About Lost Undertaker Match

Although The Undertaker and Sting were under the same roof, Vince McMahon never booked the match to happen in WWE. If it did take place, The Icon believes that would have been a fitting end to his career.

Sting spoke with Shakiel Mahjouri of CBS Sports, where he said that he thinks that his career could have ended against The Undertaker instead.

“I think if it was done right, it could have been a night, for sure, everyone would remember and never forget. They would be talking about it to this day. But it just was not going to happen. I thought, ‘Well, maybe if I get my foot in the door, we’ll see what happens.’ So I got my foot in the door. We did a WrestleMania with Triple H and then Vince [Vince McMahon] called and said, ‘Hey, I want you to have a world title match with Seth. Would you be willing to do that?’ ‘Yeah, I’d be willing to do that.’ Still, in hopes that somehow I could get in there with Taker.”

Sting went on to say, “I had so many ideas over the years, A lot of times, smoke and mirrors aren’t good things. But in our situation, I think with his gimmick and the mystiques of his character and mine, we couldn’t have enough smoke and mirrors. I think it definitely would have been a night that people remembered.”

The WWE Hall of Famer said that he would have loved a match with Undertaker, and if that happened then,“I wouldn’t have had to do anything else.”

John Cena’s new movie got some special promotion, as Ricky Stanicky opened his own OnlyFans page. He wasn’t kidding, and that page is also free. It seems that Twitter/X wasn’t too sure about things.

In a surprising move, John Cena has ventured into the realm of OnlyFans, adopting the moniker Ricky Stanicky, a nod to his character in the upcoming film of the same name. The announcement sparked considerable buzz among fans, intrigued by the wrestler-turned-actor’s foray into the subscription-based platform. Twitter blocked Cena out of his own profile for a bit out of fear that this whole thing wasn’t legit.

Cena encountered an unexpected hurdle when he took to Twitter to promote his OnlyFans page. The social media platform flagged his account, suspecting it to be fraudulent. Cena promptly clarified the legitimacy of his OnlyFans presence, assuring followers that his content is genuine and diverse.

To be fair, John Cena has been getting rather risqué with his latest posts. He dropped one about fisting that stopped many fans on the endless scroll of their timelines.

Adding to the intrigue of all this OnlyFans talk, fellow WWE superstar Randy Orton expressed interest in a potential collaboration on OnlyFans with Cena. This revelation has fueled further speculation about the duo’s potential ventures on the platform.

Cena seemed down to do it as well, because the two have certainly locked it up enough times in the ring. Those two have reportedly gone at it in 261 different matches over the course of their careers.

As Cena continues to navigate this unconventional promotional strategy, the success of his film “Ricky Stanicky” remains to be seen. Nia Jax Joins Her Own Haters To Drag Herself In Hilarious Fashion

Nia Jax has been with WWE since early 2014, and she was also released in the process. Obviously, she realizes how many fans love her and that she also has a fair share of detractors. Now, it appears that she is joining her haters.

The Irresistible Force recently saw a post where fans were asked about their opinion of her. Instead of waiting for her notifications to fill with shade, she jumped ahead of them to drag herself.

Nia Jax’s Hilarious Response

The Rock’s cousin makes a good living in WWE, and she also has a firm spot on the roster. Triple H is using Jax well, so it appears as though she is very confident in her position with the company at this point.

WrestleOps asked fans, “Your honest overall opinion on Nia Jax’s second run back in WWE thus far,” and Nia Jax just couldn’t resist. She chimed while quote, re-posting the question in order to let fans know how she apparently views herself.

Nia Jax does not have a match at WrestleMania yet, but she’s coming off a big championship contest at the Elimination Chamber. She not only had a good match with Rhea Ripley in Perth, but a ton of fans realized that Nia Jax was born in Australia in the process.

Odds are, Nia Jax will continue making herself a force on the WWE roster, so she can secure a spot on the WrestleMania 40 card.

WWE RAW May Be Homeless In Months Before Netflix Jump

RAW is leaving the USA Network, because SmackDown is going to that channel. The longest-running weekly episodic television show in history is actually leaving cable altogether, as they are jumping to Netflix. There is a lot to unpack with this story, and it gives WWE an interesting situation as well.

WWE’s deal with Netflix shook the pro wrestling world for many reasons. The groundbreaking arrangement will also leave the red brand in a strange transition state after their deal with the USA Network expires.

WWE’s Lack Of A Plan

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE doesn’t have anything arranged at this time for RAW’s final months in 2024. Their deal with the USA Network is up in September, and there is no home for the red brand until their Netflix deal starts in January next year.

“RAW will end on the USA network on the last week of September, and it will debut on Netflix on the first week of January 2025, so we have three months where we don’t know anything. On the investor’s call, it was brought up — the three months — and one thing that was very clear is that they have no idea. They expect that it will be somewhere, they told me that they’d have something to announce relatively soon, and now here we are, and not only do they not have anything to announce, but when they did their perspective of 2024, you know as far as money and profits, their predictions of 2024 were lower.”

Looking Ahead For WWE Television

It was then noted that since WWE has nothing in line for RAW during October, November and December 2024, those three months are left without any note next to them on the budget sheet, so they are going to draw no television money at this point.

WWE is in a tough spot here, because any network would love to have RAW, because it would draw a lot of viewers. The problem is that the show would be entering the situation with the intention of going to Netflix as soon as 2025 starts.

WWE NXT is also leaving USA Network, as the CW is picking up that weekly show in October. As of this writing, we still have no official announcement of WWE’s plan for October through December this year when it comes to RAW.

WWE may already have a television arrangement in line for RAW for the last three months of the year. If that is true, then that begs the question about why WWE hasn’t announced those plans yet. At this point, it is affecting WWE’s overall earnings to leave three months blank before their jump to Netflix.

WWE Roster Boost: Incoming Superstar Could Be Addition To Roman Reigns’ Bloodline

Roman Reigns has been very good to his family with the Bloodline stable. Their family tree is extensive, and there may be more room at the table for an incoming star who already has a veteran’s level of experience. 

Tama Tonga did his thing in NJPW for years, but now it is reported that he is coming to WWE. His exact start date has not been mentioned yet, but there could be a massive role waiting on him whenever that day comes to make his debut for WWE after years of interest from both sides.

It is theorized that Tama Tonga’s role in WWE may involve becoming a member of The Bloodline. The faction considers him family, and his impending arrival could be perfect timing for a WrestleMania moment.

Tama Tonga’s Possible WWE Future

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that it is very possible that Tama Tonga may join The Bloodline when he makes his way to WWE. He is considered family by everyone in the faction.

“He’s on his way, I don’t know the role, but you know very likely at some point could be part of the Bloodline situation, because he’s considered family by all those guys, so if they need somebody new, it could be him.”

It was noted that Tonga is done with NJPW, and he was talking with WWE a year ago as well. “He should start pretty soon,” Meltzer concluded. 

The Bloodline’s Future in WWE

WWE introduced Solo Sikoa to the Bloodline fold at Clash at the Castle in 2022, and that was the last addition to the stable, other than Sami Zayn’s program with the faction. It could be very possible that Tama Tonga might add a new flavor to the mix that will give the Bloodline saga even more time.

– Virgil passed away at 61-years-old. This was a terrible loss for the pro wrestling world, and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

– Billy Jack Haynes was officially charged with second degree murder.

– The Rock has publicly spoken out after his former co-star Rebecca Ferguson said she was abused during the shooting of a movie.

Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins appeared on Hot One, and that was quite an episode for the real-life married couple.

– Matt Riddle confirmed that it was cocaine that was responsible for his suspension from WWE. As we’ve mentioned several times, WWE doesn’t even care about positive THC tests anymore, but cocaine is enough to warrant a suspension.

– Shawn Spears explained why he returned to WWE after his AEW exit.

AEW:

– Sting appeared for his final episode of AEW Dynamite this week, and he did so by coming down from the rafters, just like he used to over 20 years ago in WCW. That was quite a moment, and it went viral as well.

– AEW may have spoiled MJF’s return to television with a new logo drop.

– Sadly, Meat Madness is not going down at AEW Revolution as some fans thought.

– Paul Wight reflected on what he’s learned from Sting. Obviously, The Icon has done a lot to inspire a generation and many more after that.

The Rock Responds To Rebecca Ferguson’s Story Of Being Abused On Movie Set

The Rock is known to stick up for people who he’s worked with, especially if they are in his circle of friends. It seems that one of his former co-stars went through a bad experience, and Dwayne Johnson wants to handle things in his own way.

Rebecca Ferguson disclosed during an episode of the Reign with Josh Smith podcast that she had confronted an actor on a film set after they directed abusive remarks toward her.

Rebecca Ferguson Speaks Out

During the interview, she said, “I did a film with an absolute idiot of a co-star, and this human being was being so insecure and angry, because this person couldn’t get the scenes out, and I think I was so vulnerable and uncomfortable that I got screamed at, and I would cry walking off set.”

Her revelation has led to speculation about the identity of the actor. Ferguson did not specify the gender of the individual. Notably, Ferguson is presently featured in Dune: Part Two. Ferguson has eliminated Hugh Jackman and Tom Cruise from consideration, both of whom she appeared alongside in The Greatest Showman and Mission Impossible.

The Rock seemingly distanced himself from the online speculation by expressing his support for Ferguson, with whom he collaborated on the film Hercules in 2014.

Hate seeing this but love seeing her stand up to bullsh*t. Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven on our set. I love that woman. I’d like to find out who did this.

Internet Detectives Are on the Case

In case you’re wondering, internet detectives are on the case. One fan posted in response to The Rock’s tweet to say, “LMAO thanks for tweeting it this and helping us narrow it down. Has to be Hugh Grant, then he’s the only one where she doesn’t have any press photos/ red carpet photos next to him. She has multiple photos with Fassbinder and Jake Gyllenhaal.”

We will have to see if the mystery is ever solved, but The Rock is 100% behind Ferguson, and he’s not going to stand for anyone treating her in a negative fashion.

Cosmically Impotent: Bryan Danielson Issues Bold Challenge To Elon Musk

Bryan Danielson has something to say to Elon Musk, and he isn’t too impressed with the Tesla founder’s mindset at this point. Never one to back down from anyone, Bryan Danielson has now challenged Elon Musk in notable fashion.

While co-hosting The Nikki & Brie Show with his wife, Brie Garcia, Bryan Danielson had quite a good time. He filled in due to Nikki Garcia’s absence. In the process, he stirred up some headlines.

During a segment where Brie promoted their show and the Garcia TikTok, Bryan directed his attention towards Twitter/X, where he expressed discontent with the platform. He remarked, “You know what’s more upsetting to me than TikTok? It’s actually Twitter.”

When Brie mentioned discussions about cleaning up Twitter, Bryan boldly announced his intention to challenge Elon Musk on the platform. This was a challenge that few saw coming.

Danielson asserted that Musk lacks the capability to destroy the moon and labeled him as “cosmically impotent.” Bryan emphatically stated, “Elon Musk, you’re cosmically impotent. You can’t blow up the moon.”

Now, the challenge awaits Musk’s response, although it remains uncertain whether Musk will engage in this cosmic debate. We will have to see if he actually has anything to say to the AEW star. At this point, you never know what kind of battle we will see waged next.
