AEW has decided to retire the current design of the TNT Championship in honor of the late Brodie Lee who passed away due to a lung ailment this past Saturday on December 26.
The main event of this week’s episode of Dynamite saw the team of Cody Rhodes, Orange Cassidy & Ten beating Team Taz (Brian Cage, Powerhouse Hobbs & Ricky Starks) in a six men tag team match.
After the bout, Brodie Lee’s older son was brought into the ring and he was awarded a TNT title belt. AEW President Tony Khan then named Brodie Lee Jr. a “TNT Champion for life” and the show ended with a tribute video.
In the Dynamite post-show later on, Tony Schiavone confirmed that the company will be retiring the current belt design for the TNT title and the negative one will always have the TNT belt with the current design.
“Little Brodie, ‘Negative One’ if you will, is always going to have that TNT belt, we’ll come up with a new belt,” said Schiavone. “That’ll be his. The particular belt that was given to little Brodie tonight has been retired.”
There is no word yet on how long it will take the company to come up with a new design for the TNT title but it will likely take at least a few weeks before the company introduces the new belt.
Former WWE star Erick Rowan made an appearance on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite which was a tribute show for his former partner Brodie Lee.
This week’s episode of the show featured multiple tag matches involving the members of The Dark Order. One such match was MJF, Ortiz & Santana facing the team of Alex Reynolds, John Silver & Adam Page.
Towards the ending of this bout, Wardlow came out and he interrupted the match by taking out Reynolds. Erick Rowan then made his AEW debut to stop the giant.
The former WWE star who now goes by the name Erick RedBeard dropped Wardlow with a chokeslam and then ran him off to backstage.
The match ended with John Silver delivering Brodie’s discuss forearm to Ortiz and pinning the Inner Circle member to pick up the victory for his team.
Erick joined the Dark Order in the ring post-match and Silver got emotional as the former Wyatt Family member held up a sign reading “Goodbye for now my brother. See you down the road.”
There is no word yet on if this was a one-time appearance or if Erick Rowan has signed a contract with AEW. We will have to see if he makes any more appearances for the company in coming weeks.
AEW commentator Tony Schiavone talked about the untimely death of Brodie Lee on the latest episode of What Happened When podcast and opened up about the events before his passing.
Reports have revealed that the original plans were to keep the former TNT champion off TV for only a few weeks after his Dog Collar match with Cody Rhodes on the October 7 episode of Dynamite.
Talking about how the sudden decline in Lee’s health forced them to change plans, Schiavone revealed that Brodie was hospitalised the day after they interviewed him on the AEW Unrestricted podcast:
“Unfortunately, the AEW Uncensored podcast that we do, the one we did with Brodie, we did it the day before he got sick.
Then we heard he had been airlifted to the Mayo Clinic and Amanda, his wife, came and met with the entire group and told us how bad a shape he was in and please don’t say anything to anybody.”
Discussing how everyone at AEW kept his condition secret, Tony Schiavone said that everyone at the company did a good job and he then revealed how they all found out about Brodie Lee’s passing:
“I think everybody did a great job keeping it close to the vest as the old cliche goes. We all knew it didn’t look good but we were all hoping he would kick out.
The day that he passed away, we received an email that we were going to have a company wide zoom call in 30 minutes and I knew that if we were going to have a zoom call that quickly, something was bad.”
Tony Schiavone also opened up about the segment they filmed with Brodie Lee’s son at last week’s Dynamite tapings where he beat Kenny Omega for the AEW world title.
The AEW star revealed that the company actually signed Brodie Lee Jr. to a contract and said that he will join the company when he gets old enough.
Nick Aldis has no plans to leave the National Wrestling Alliance any time soon. In fact, the reigning NWA World Champion recently extended his deal and will be under contract for at least another year.
Aldis recently appeared on Konnan’s Keepin’ It 100 podcast where he discussed the state of the NWA, the return of NWA Powerrr and more.
Regarding his status with the NWA, Aldis revealed that owner Billy Corgan has picked up the option in his contract to extend their deal for one more year.
“Billy picked up my option with the NWA so… Like I said, I had an option on my contract and Billy picked it up and like I said, I would not have opened up any discussions with anyone without talking to — This is ‘Keepin it 100,’ I just care about that paper.
That’s it and Billy’s been very loyal to me and I to him” said Nick Aldis, “And I truly believe in what we’re doing with the product and I wouldn’t walk away from it because we haven’t even scratched the surface of what we could accomplish.”
The NWA talents have been featured on the Primetime Live shows of the United Wrestling Network (UWN) in the absence of NWA Power but the current champion made it clear that it’s not an NWA product.
Nick Aldis also reiterated comments from the promotion’s Women’s Champion Serena Deeb and confirmed that their flagship show will be making a return sometime in 2021.
Former AEW Champion Jon Moxley recently had an interview with Sports Illustrated where he shared his memories of the late Brodie Lee.
Mox wrestled Lee many times in WWE when he was still known as Luke Harper and the two then locked horns again after the late star followed his friend’s footsteps and joined AEW.
Talking about the news of his demise, the former WWE champion claimed that it doesn’t feel real and it feels as if he is in a vivid dream:
“It doesn’t feel real,” said Moxley, on Sunday evening. “It feels like I’m in a very vivid dream and I’m waiting to snap out of it. My brain hasn’t accepted it yet. Right now, I’m completely f—— numb.”
Jon Moxley On His WrestleMania Spot With Brodie Lee
The former Dean Ambrose then talked about the many times he wrestled Brodie Lee and he especially recalled the one spot he did with the former TNT champion which even bugged Vince McMahon.
Jon recalled a spot from the WrestleMania 31 ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship and revealed how the boss reacted to it:
“We wanted to make the highlight reel, we figured the only way we could do that was if I nearly killed myself with a death-defying bump. So we devised this spot where he powerbombs me from the ring to the floor through a steel ladder, and that’s f—— sketchy.
It’s an extremely dangerous bump, going backward at a high angle. It was a gnarly bump. Vince [McMahon] bugged out. He thought I was dead, which meant it was a good f—— bump. “
The former WWE star continued by saying that he would have not trusted anybody else with the bump and he maintains the sentiment even to this day.
Apart from this, Jon Moxley also discussed how Brodie Lee was a family man who was very proud of being a husband and father. You can check out his full interview at this link.
Amanda Huber, the wife of the late pro wrestler Jon Huber aka Brodie Lee has shared her final text conversation with her husband before he passed away.
She made an emotional post on Instagram in which, Amanda shared pictures she “forgot existed” and explained how they reminded her of the life she had built with her husband.
Addressing the text conversation that took place in late October before Brodie Lee’s condition declined, Huber mentioned how she got angry looking at their text exchange because they had “so much planned.”
She also informed her late husband of the plans president Tony Khan has put together for the upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite to honour his memory.
Amanda thanked the fans for their kind words and stories that have been shared over the last few days as well. You can check out her post featuring the text conversation in the second slide below:
Former WWE and AEW star Brodie Lee passed away due to a lung ailment last week on December 26. Not many people were aware of his condition and so the news of his passing came as a shock for the wrestling world.
Various wrestling personalities and fans from around the world have come together to pay tribute to the late star since the news of his passing come out.
Several wrestling personalities had called out WWE after this week’s Raw for only paying tribute to Brodie Lee through an opening graphic but it appears that it’s not all the company will be doing.
According to reports from PWInsider, WWE taped some tributes to the former champion prior to the airing of this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
While it’s not known where the company intends to use the footage, the report at least confirms that the tribute on Raw is not the only thing officials are planning.
The most likely destination for the tributes to be used would be in a Network special about the former WWE star but it’s something that hasn’t been confirmed.
Brodie Lee fka Luke Harper passed away due to a lung ailment on December 26 and reports that have since come out have revealed that he had been hospitalised for the last two month.
Lee had been written off AEW TV after his dog collar match with Cody Rhodes on October 7 episode of Dynamite, though at the time, the plans were to bring him back after a few weeks of absence.
However, he started facing difficulties in completing his routine workout during his hiatus at home and the former WWE star was rushed to the hospital towards the end of October, after his lungs stopped working.
Wrestling veteran and Olympic Gold Medallist Kurt Angle recently held another one of his Q&A sessions on his official Facebook page where he answered some interesting questions.
The former WWE star was first asked what are the three things aspiring pro wrestlers should focus on and he replied by saying that selling, bumping properly and psychology-telling a story are very important.
A fan then asked Angle which is the one match he would like to erase from his memory so he can watch it again for the first time and Kurt mentioned the match between Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart from WrestleMania XII:
“Bret vs. Shawn Ironman match. It was really great to watch. They told a great story. It was a draw at the end of 60 minutes. Awesome match!”
Kurt Angle also offered some praise to Drew McIntyre and when asked who is his favorite babyface in WWE, he wrote: “Drew McIntyre. He’s having a great run!”
Apart from this, the former Raw General Manager answered questions such as the first CD he bought from his own money, what is on the Christmas list of Kurt Angle and his favorite Christmas movie.
Former Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne will be leaving Impact Wrestling soon to pursue a career outside of the wrestling world, latest reports reveal.
According to reports from PWinsider, the female star who currently works for the company as a commentator alongside husband Josh Mathews will be leaving the company for a new full time job outside of wrestling.
The Wrestling Observer provided some more update on the situation and it notes that Impact officials had not found a replacement for Rayne as of last week.
Madison Rayne’s Career
The former champion made her debut for the promotion in 2009. Since then she has had a number of runs with TNA and she has won over half a dozen titles in the promotion.
Madison’s achievement in the promotion includes 5 different reigns with the Impact Knockouts championship and a couple of runs with the Knockouts tag team titles as well.
Outside of TNA, Madison Rayne, who made her wrestling debut back in 2005, has wrestled for promotions such as ROH and she also competed in the Mae Young Classic tournament back in 2018.
Madison Rayne is not the only star to leave Impact in recent times. Jake Crist recently departed the company and reports suggest that Ethan Page is also expected to become a free agent at the end of this year.
There was speculation about a United States Championship match between the current champion Bobby Lashley and Matt Riddle taking place at the TLC PPV but this bout has not been announced.
Now the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter has provided some update on the plans for the title and it claims that this bout is scheduled for the Royal Rumble PPV.
There is also speculation about Jeff Hardy possibly being added to the bout as it was teased a few weeks back but so far there is no confirmation of the same.
As of now, WWE has not announced the date for the Royal Rumble PPV either but the show is expected to take place in late January as usual.
The event will be taking place from The ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL. WWE officials are trying to bring in live audience for the show but there hasn’t been a confirmation of the same so far.
Bobby Lashley defeated Apollo Crews to win the United States championship at the Payback PPV in August this year. This is his second run with the US title.
Lashley, Riddle or Jeff Hardy have not been booked for any match at Sunday’s TLC PPV though there is still chance that the company will include them into the show as a last minute edition.
Former WWE star Victoria had a lengthy run with the company but she left the promotion in what many consider to be the female star’s prime.
The former WWE women’s champion recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet where she talked about her wrestling career in detail among other things.
During the interview, Victoria was asked about her decision to leave the company and whether she was released by the officials or if she left by herself. Replying to it, she explained that it was her own decision:
“No, I had two years left on my contract when I asked for my out; I talked to Vince, Johnny Ace, and Stephanie McMahon. I asked them, ‘Do you see the title in my future?’ Their face gave it away.
If I would have known if I would have been an enhancement talent,” said Victoria “like Fit Finlay – all the new guys would go through him because he’ll teach them the ropes in the ring – I would have stayed if I had been told that.”
The former Knockouts champion also explained how her TNA run started revealing that she did not have a 30 days non compete clause in her contract. She was contacted by the TNA officials for a run shortly after her WWE release and she signed a one year contract with the company.
Victoria joined WWE in 2000 and had a 9 year run with the company ending in early 2009. The female star joined TNA a few months after leaving the promotion and had a 4 year run with the company now known as Impact Wrestling.
WWE has officially signed top independent wrestler Ben Carter to the NXT UK. The announcement was made on this week’s NXT UK show on the WWE Network.
A vignette that aired during the episode introduced Carter to the audience. It featured praising comments from people like the NXT general manager William Regal, Nigel McGuinness and more.
The video package also featured comments from WWE Superstar Seth Rollins, who helped train Carter at his Black & Brave Wrestling Academy. The former Universal Champion compared the young star to some interesting names.
“Ben Carter came to the United States with a dream, and he is living that dream right now because of how dedicated he is,” said Rollins. “To me, the sky’s the limit for Ben Carter, it truly is. He’s one of the most athletically gifted performers I’ve ever seen. The way he moves in the ring reminds me so much of a Dynamite Kid, an Eddie Guerrero. He’s got so much snap, so much whip.”
Ben Carter commented on joining WWE and the NXT UK brand:
The 22-year-old UK star made his pro wrestling debut at the age of 20 in 2018. He has been trained by Seth Rollins and Marek Brave at their Black And Brave Wrestling Academy.
Carter referenced the famous tweet by FTR to the Young Bucks to state his intention to one day wrestle his mentor, Seth Rollins.
WWE confirmed recently that NXT star Cameron Grimes will be out of the action for the next 4 to 6 weeks and he will not be seen on WWE programming for the rest of 2020.
While at the time, the company hadn’t revealed that reason for his absence, a new report sheds some more light on his announced break. According to sources, Grimes is legitimately injured. SEScoops has learned the former Impact X Division Champion underwent surgery last week which is the reason why he has been pulled from WWE TV.
Cameron Grimes In NXT
Grimes, who signed with WWE in January 2019, has feuded with NXT stars Dexter Lumis and Tommaso Ciampa in recent months. He was defeated by Ciampa in a singles match at last week’s NXT TV.
Timothy Thatcher attacked Cameron Grimes after the match and twisted his legs which was the storyline reason given for the former Impact Wrestling star’s absence from the brand.
While the report does not reveal when or how the former PWG star got injured, the given timeline for his return suggests that the injury is not very serious and Grimes will be back in action very soon.
The former NXT star recently had an interview with FOX Sports where he talked about a number of things and also responded to these rumors about himself and the other WWE talent.
Otis labelled the reports as ‘kind of funny’ before explaining that they weren’t told anything like that. The former Mr. Money In The Bank then claimed that the stars are always working on improvements regardless:
“I think it’s always been there, it wasn’t like, ‘hey, we were told this and that.’ That Performance Center is a tool for us to get better. If another big man wants to come up to me and wants to work on stuff, or vice versa. We’re always working.
So, that report was kind of funny at the same time. We’re never not working.” said Otis “Especially now that we don’t have live events, so we can’t really get our stuff out. It’s just bottled inside in a little bottle. Right now it’s like; we’re not getting that stuff out there. So, we’ll find more and more ways to get in the ring with each other.”
"It wasn’t like, "Hey, we were told this and that." That @WWEPC is a tool for us to get better…now that we don’t have live events, so we can’t really get our stuff out." – @otiswwe to @ryansatinpic.twitter.com/Vvw1lJT5tz
The WWE star later revealed that his dad told him about the rumors. He said that there wasn’t much of a report to begin with since they are always working out.
For those who don’t know, it was reported earlier this month that Vince McMahon ‘threw a fit’ about the working abilities of several WWE roster members including Otis. He ordered them to be sent back to the Performance Center for training classes. You can check out the full report here.
The Queen Of The Ring tournament is something the fans have shown interest in as the next step in the women’s evolution and Sasha Banks is also interested in it.
The current SmackDown women’s champion was recently interviewed by ProSieben MAXX on Instagram where she talked about things like her WWE debut and more.
When asked about a potential Queen Of The Ring tournament, Banks explained that the competition should get a PPV for itself but she also mentioned how they have been waiting for Evolution 2 for a long time.
“I think a whole Queen of the Ring tournament for a whole pay-per-view itself would be really cool, but I’ve been waiting for Evolution 2 for a very long time.”
Banks continued, “So maybe we can do that first, and maybe we can start little matches at Evolution for the Queen of the Ring Tournament.” said Sasha Banks, “Maybe something like that can happen.”
Sasha Banks also commented on her dream match. WWE and NXT have a lot of talented wrestlers, but her dream opponent is WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.
Banks also joked about planning to own WWE one day, how she felt before her main roster debut and more. You can watch the full interview in the player embedded below:

However, returning to the ring outside of the company wasn’t always in his mind and according to the former WWE star, he had even considered retirement after getting fired from the company.
Bennett recently had an interview with Scott Fishman of TV Insider and opening up about his release from the company; he revealed that at first he contemplated if he wanted to keep wrestling:
“When I got fired, I contemplated if I wanted to keep wrestling; I don’t know what the post-coronavirus pro wrestling world is going to look like. I have a 2-year-old and, when we got fired; my son was 2 months old.
I’m so thankful to have my wife to lean on. She’s my biggest supporter.” said Mike “We had constant talks after the kids went to bed and figured it out. You become parents, adults, and figure out life.”
The ROH star also provided an update on his wife and fellow former WWE star Maria Kanellis revealing that she is back in school, pursuing her master’s degree.
Regarding a potential in ring return for the famale star, Mike Bennett said that Maria loves the industry and she will be back when she feels the time is right. You can check out his full interview at this link.
Kevin Owens recently appeared on WWE’s The Bump where he talked about things like his experience at the commentary desk, how doing commentary full time is a different ball game and more.
During the interview, the former Universal Champion also talked about the late Pat Patterson and discussed his relationship with the WWE legend.
Owens recalled how Patterson was supportive and willing to help everybody and the WWE Hall Of Famer had a mind for wrestling like no one else:
“Pat was something else. I used to think he and I had this connection because we’re French-Candian. He was so supportive and willing to help. I quickly realized that he was actually like that with everybody.
What Daniel Bryan said was true: He would really listen and ask about you and how your family was doing… He would constantly ask how I was doing.” recalled Kevin Owens, “When wrestling was involved, he had a mind like no other. To say he’ll be missed is an understatement.”
The former NXT champion also recalled a story of how Patterson ran down to the ring when Sami Zayn won the NXT title despite everyone trying to stop him.
Apart from this, Kevin Owens offered some big praise to the NXT tag team Ever-Rise saying that he has been a fan of the duo for 15 years. You can check out his full interview in the video below:
After a successful defence at this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Kenny Omega will once again be defending his AEW world title at the upcoming New Year’s Smash episode of the show.
This week’s episode of the weekly show saw the cleaner taking on Joey Janela in the main event and the champion won the bout after delivering two V-Triggers and a One-Winged Angel on Janela.
Omega’s new associate Don Callis then took the mic and started gloating about how all the haters have been silenced with this victory before the Death Triangle came out.
The trio of Pac, Rey Fenix, and Penta El Zero Miedo interrupted the segment. Pac reminded the AEW champion that they have unfinished business but he claimed that he was here for a different reason.
The former WWE star reminded everyone how Rey Fenix had to pull out of the Title Eliminator Tournament earlier this year and said that Omega can’t call himself the rightful champion until Fenix has gotten his opportunity.
Callis tried to stop the trio but Pac revealed that he has already spoken to the AEW president Tony Khan. He then announced that a match between Rey Fenix and Kenny Omega has been made official for the upcoming Dynamite episode on December 30.
For those who don’t know, Rey Fenix had defeated Penta in the first round of the Title Eliminator Tournament in October but he was pulled from the second round of the tournament due to a neck injury. Penta then replaced his brother in the tournament and faced Omega in the second round.
Fenix will now be getting his shot at the AEW world title at Dynamite: New Year’s Smash night 1 on December 30. Chris Jericho would be on the commentary for this episode.
The third-party edicts from WWE have been a topic of discussion among wrestling fans in the past few months and Lana is one of the stars affected by these new rules from the company.
The female star recently had an interview with New York Post where she talked about things like cyberbullying, incorporating her real-life struggles in her ongoing storyline with Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax and more.
During the interview, Lana was asked if she thinks that WWE can come to an agreement with stars to allow them to continue using the digital platforms and she revealed that they have actually been in discussion with the management:
“Absolutely. I know we are all in that discussion with the company of trying to work that out. Once again, the world has changed quickly. Everything has moved into digital space now.”
Lana continued by mentioning how there is a lot of untapped potential for WWE stars to make money through the social channels and said that she wants to help the company officials in coming to an agreement with the stars:
“I’m actually really excited because I expressed to WWE how much I would love to help them build something out for the talent because I feel like we haven’t even slightly started to tap into how big of stars we can be on the digital front and how much money we could make for WWE.
So, I’m excited. I know sometimes when things happen it’s a slow and steady … you have to be patient with change. But I really believe I’m gonna be one of the ones that’s gonna help build this out and this new WWE where we are going to be bigger than ever, the talent.”
This week’s episode of Raw saw Lana being attacked by Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler after which WWE announced that she has been pulled from the upcoming TLC PPV.
PWinsider has provided some updates on her status and the reports from the site suggest that the former NXT star is not expected to stay out for very long.
According to the reports, Lana is expected to stay off WWE TV for the next several weeks and she could stay out of action for the next 3-4 weeks before returning.
The exact reason to take her off TV has not been revealed. There was backstage buzz at this week’s Raw that the whole angle was a set up for the return of Charlotte Flair, though these speculations have not been confirmed.
Lana was announced to be teaming up with the Raw women’s champion Asuka to challenge Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax for their women’s tag team titles at Sunday’s TLC PPV.
With the female star being out of the picture, Asuka will have to find a new partner for the match at the PPV. It would be interesting to see which star steps up and teams with the Empress.

The TLC go-home episode of Monday Night Raw this week saw a big decline in viewership and the show set a new record for the all-time low audience of the series. PWInsider has provided some backstage updates from the episode and it notes that Raw, as it aired on Monday night, was “very much the show as it was originally written.”
Though the fitting of the segments were still being worked on few hours before the show and the placement of various matches and segments changed over the course of the day. A lot of dialogues were re-written as the day went on according to Vince McMahon’s vision and the rewrites were described as “the writers giving him what he wants.”
One significant change that was still made to Raw was the change in plans for Keith Lee. He was originally going to face The Miz in a singles match but plans changed. Keith Lee ended up-facing The Miz and John Morrison in a handicap match which wasn’t the original plan.
There were also timing issues with numerous segments running longer than planned. This resulted in the final segment featuring AJ Styles and Drew McIntyre ending abruptly as the show went off air and the officials were reportedly not happy about these issues.
EC3 was pulled from this Friday’s Final Battle PPV of Ring Of Honor after the former TNA world champion was tested positive for coronavirus.
The former WWE star recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet where he talked about a number of things and he also revealed how he has been since his positive test.
EC3 first revealed that he has been quarantined for over a week at this point and the former NXT star claimed that he is at the tail end of COVID:
“I’ve been quarantined for a week to ten days, yeah, at this point, I have COVID, I’m at the tail end of it. It sucked a little bit, some of it wasn’t bad. I’m healthy, so I was fortune.
EC3 also detailed some of the health issues he has had to deal with since being diagnosed but he claimed that it felt like the flu or bad cold most of the time:
“I had none of the respiratory issues, kind of felt like the flu or a moderately bad cold some of the times. I would say one day I overdid it on my carb load, or I was sick with COVID and it attacked my stomach because I was farting way too much.
One day, I had a real bad set of chills where I had a double hoodie. One night, I had a ten-minute respiratory cough and I was like, ‘I get why this sucks now.’ Woah! I feel like I was breathing fire and then I’ve been fine ever since.”
Apart from this, EC3 talked about things like having no crowd for shows, wrestling without fans and how ROH has the best wrestling in the world. You can check out his full interview below:

The Survivor Series match between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre ended with Jey Uso getting involved in the bout; leaving fans wanting a rematch between the two stars.
During his recent appearance on WWE’s The Bump, the WWE champion spoke up about a number of things and he also discussed a potential rematch with the Universal champion.
McIntyre first claimed that their match at Survivor Series was all about showing the world what he is about these days, before talking about a potential rematch with Reigns at a ‘WrestleMania-level’ event:
“He kept talking and talking, and [Paul] Heyman kept talking and talking and kept tweeting. I kept my mouth shut because I was going to show through [my] actions what I’m capable of these days, and you saw his emotions change throughout the match.
But he knows what I’m all about now.” said Drew McIntyre, “I guarantee that match is going to come back around again one day, and hopefully, it’ll be WrestleMania-level.”

WWE held an all hands on deck virtual meeting for the employees out of their headquarters in Stamford, CT yesterday, according to reports from PWInsider.
According to the site, the majority of the meeting was focused on introducing the new President & Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan who was hired back in August this year. The employees were introduced to him and explained more about why Khan was brought to the company.
The officials also provided a minor update on the new company headquarters in Stamford and the employees were told that the plans are “moving along slowly but surely.” WWE announced their plans to move the company HQ to a new office in Downtown Stamford back in March 2019.
While the new office is not far from the current location, the move will allow the promotion to bring its operations including production studios and corporate offices together under one roof. The coronavirus pandemic delayed the plans for the transition to the new building and the current plan is to make the move sometime in early 2021.
On a related note, the report also notes that Steve Armstrong who was hired as a Performance Center coach in November 2019 and furloughed in April this year is now back with the company. Tino Sabbatelli who was released during the coronavirus budget cuts in April has also been re-signed.
WWE has a habit of changing creative direction for ongoing storylines and nixing long-standing plans in favour of a new idea and Sasha Banks is having fun with this habit of the company officials.
The Boss recently talked to Charlotte Wilder of Fox Sports. In the interview titled The Year of Sasha Banks As Told By The Boss, the SmackDown women’s champion reflected on the incredible year she has had.
During the interview, Banks also talked about her feud with Baylay. When asked if there is possibility of her reuniting with her friend after their fall out earlier this year, the SmackDown star replied by saying that anything is possible in WWE:
“Knowing WWE, absolutely, it is so crazy here. Girl, do you not know what I do for a living? Of course, anything is possible here. We will be best friends, probably by tomorrow. This is WWE. They’ll probably make us get married. Who knows? Maybe next year. It’s WWE.”
While Sasha Banks seem to be having fun with WWE’s contradictory booking decisions, some recent developments suggest that not everything is right between her and the company.
WWE has decided not to promote her appearance in Disney’s The Mandalorian web series. The current champion also recently changed her name on social media, leading to many speculations about her relationship with the company.
