Former WWE Champion The Rock revealed in an Instagram post that he and his immediate family have contracted COVID-19 and they are currently recovering from the coronavirus.

The Rock also has another daughter in Simone from his first marriage. The young star is currently signed to a development deal in WWE and it appears that she hasn’t caught the virus.

In the video, the former World Champion talked about the positive tests and said that this has been one of the most difficult things they have had to endure as a family.

Though The Rock later mentioned that they are now doing better. The People’s Champion claimed that they are “on the other end” of their recovery and he revealed that they are no longer contagious.

It was revealed by the Hollywood star that they caught the virus from a very close family friend. He added that the friends are devastated over what happened and they do not have an idea of where they got the virus from.

We at SEScoops wish the Great One and his family a speedy recovery.

Pat McAfee Reveals His Contractual Status With WWE After Takeover: XXX Debut

While Adam Cole won their bout at the NXT Takeover: XXX event, Pat McAfee managed to impress everyone with his performance and many believed that he stole the show during his in-ring debut for WWE.

Since then people have been wondering if the former NFL player will return to WWE ring in the future and it appears that the young star is not sure about his future either.

McAfee was asked about his plans during his ESPN interview and answering the question, the former Football Punter said that he is not 100% sure. He then revealed that he is not under contract with the company for another match:

“I’m not 100% sure what’s going to happen. I’m not under contract to do anything else with Mr. H. I assume he and I will talk about this at some point because I heard his comments in the press conference afterward, which were very nice.”

Pat continued by explaining that before the PPV he was in the mindset of worrying about the show and letting everything else sort itself out. McAfee claimed that he will feel good if he never gets in the ring again:

“But for me, all I was worried about was that match at NXT TakeOver: XXX and then I’ll let everything else kind of sort itself out. And I think that’s where I’m at right now. I feel good. If I never get in the ring again, I’ll be very thankful for the opportunity and I’ll be proud of it.”

Though he also said that if something pops up which is right, he wouldn’t mind returning to the ring. Pat McAfee said that he has only started thinking about it in the last few days and he still has no idea what the future holds for him.

While the Football analyst is saying that he is not sure about his future, WWE offering him a contract looks inevitable and it would be interesting to see if McAfee will accept the offer.

Jon Moxley Reveals How He Was Convinced to Join AEW

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho had announced his association with AEW long before the promotion took off but Jon Moxley was the first real big star to jump ships from WWE to the upstart promotion.

The former Shield member recently had an interview with Wrestling Observer Radio where he talked about things like his time in WWE and more.

During the interview, he revealed how his deal with AEW came to be. Mox recalled that Tony Khan and Cody Rhodes came to his house for a meeting and explained their plans in details:

“Tony and Cody came to my house and we talked about wrestling, and what we thought it should be, and what we wanted it to be, and then they’re telling me about TNT and all this stuff, and it’s real and this is actually going to happen.

This isn’t just a bunch of false promises. I’m like, ‘Okay, well if that stuff is true, then alright, I’m in.'” recalled Moxley, “I gave my word on that day, like, ‘I’m in’ and there we go.”

During the interview, he also revealed that despite being the current IWGP US Champion, he does not have an active contract with NJPW at the moment.

Jon Moxley had signed a contract with the company for his initial run up until Wrestle Kingdom 14 but after that, they have been working with only a verbal agreement.

Update On Austin Theory’s Disappearance From WWE TV

Austin Theory hasn’t been seen on the WWE programming for a while and not a lot of details have been revealed about the former Evolve Champion’s sudden disappearance from the company.

A report previously said that the young star was on an ‘announced suspension’ within the promotion but at the time, the reason for this apparent punishment for the WWE star was not revealed.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer opened up on the story a bit more recently and he suggested that Theory has some serious accusations against him:

“There’s an allegation against him and then he disappeared. It’s not an injury or anything like that. Is that why? [WWE] may go and say he had a car accident.

I think that Seth Rollins said that – he used some term like ‘personal reason’ and he’ll be back so I presume that it’s a Patrick Clark [Velveteen Dream] type of story.”

WWE seems to be taking things seriously in the case of the former NXT star so if the allegation against Austin Theory are proved then it could even mean the end of his career in the company.

However, Meltzer did not reveal a lot of details on his case so it’s hard to say how serious things are and if there is any chance of the high flying star returning to WWE TV anytime soon. We’ll keep you updated on his status.

WWE Reportedly ‘Ripped Up’ Script For Raw An Hour Before The Show

Stop us if you’ve heard this one before – chaos behind the scenes at a WWE TV taping and another script completely overhauled just before showtime.

Sunday’s SummerSlam pay-per-view was very well-received. Fans on social media and wrestling pundits alike gave the show high marks. The next WWE PPV, Payback takes place this Sunday. WWE had a lot of pieces to put in place with less than one week before two special events. Whatever WWE had written for Monday’s Raw, those plans were discarded with very little time before the show went on the air.

According to veteran wrestling journalist Mike Johnson, WWE boss Vince McMahon arrived at the ThunderDome around an hour before Raw as was set to go live. Vince reviewed the script and ‘ripped it up’ around 7:20 PM.

“WWE pretty much ripped up the entire show around 7:20 PM, PWInsider.com has been told. Vince McMahon arrived at the taping around that time and at that point, began changing “just about everything” that was planned.”

The company is said to have changed most of the things that were planned for the episode and plans for the second and third hour were still not locked until very late.

This is not the first time we are hearing such news. Reports of things being changed late on the day of the shows have become somewhat common for WWE.

While many times these last-minute changes end up working in the favor of the company, more often than not they result in inconsistencies in the storylines and create confusion among fans.

This week’s episode of the Red Branded Show featured the build-up for the upcoming Payback PPV with the company booking almost half the card for the event in one night.

What did you think about this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw after the late changes? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.

WWE Payback: 4 Matches Set For Sunday’s PPV

With only a week of gap between SummerSlam and Payback, it was inevitable that WWE would book several matches for the short-notice PPV on this week’s episode of Raw.

That expectation was realized as WWE announced three title matches (and Keith Lee’s main roster debut) Monday night at the ThunderDome.

The first match which was announced earlier was the return bout for Roman Reigns who will be involved in a triple threat match against Braun Strowman and ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt for the Universal Championship.

The company has also announced a United States title match between Apollo Crews and Bobby Lashley and a rematch between Randy Orton and Keith Lee for the Payback PPV after their bout on Raw ended in a disqualification.

Though probably the most surprising match which was announced is for the Women’s Tag Team Championships.

It will see the current champions Bayley and Sasha Banks defending their titles against the unlikely team of Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.

This match was put together after Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler had several interactions during the show and Jax managed to convince the former NXT Women’s Champion that they can win the tag titles together.

WWE Payback Card

The Payback PPV will be taking place this Sunday, August 30 from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. You can check out the current standing match card for the event below:

  • Universal Championship Triple Threat No Holds Barred Match: Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt
  • Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler vs. Sasha Banks and SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley
  • United States Championship Match: Bobby Lashley vs. Apollo Crews
  • Singles Match: Randy Orton vs. Keith Lee

Aleister Black Returns On Raw, Turns Heel On Kevin Owens

Aleister Black has turned heel for the first time in his career in WWE.

Last night’s SummerSlam event saw Kevin Owens inviting Aleister Black to the KO Show on Raw and the company later confirmed the former NXT Champion’s return to WWE TV.

Black then made his first appearance in almost a month during the Red Branded Show and he came out covering one eye, still selling the attack from Murphy and Seth Rollins which originally put him out of action.

Kevin then tried to interview the former NXT star but Aleister stumbled out of the seat. The former Universal Champion stopped to check on him and called for help from the back.

However, the returning star decked Owens and then dropped him with a Black Mass, turning heel in the process for the first time in his WWE career.

The former NXT Champion took on his Twitter after the show to comment on his actions and he wrote “Let us begin.” You can check out his tweet and some photos and video of the segment below:

https://twitter.com/WWEAleister/status/1298060098418479104?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

There is no word on what the company is planning for Aleister Black after this heel turn but a feud with Kevin Owens seems to be the immediate plans for the former indie star.

AJ Styles Reveals His Entrance Music Was Originally Made For A Different Impact Star

Former World Champion AJ Styles returned for his Twitch Stream recently to talk with fans and he discussed a number of things including the story behind his ring name and more.

The Phenomenal One first talked about his early career and how his stint with WCW came to be. Though he said that he is glad that WWE did not pick him up when the company took over WCW because he was not ready.

Styles finally made it into WWE in 2016 and the former World Champion debuted with a new theme song which has since become synonym with his name. However, he revealed that the song was originally made for James Storm:

“As far as entrance music goes, when I first started with WWE, I got in contact with our guy and he goes, ‘Hey, tell me kind of what you like, what you don’t like.’ And I was like, ‘Dude, I’m kind of a rap guy.’

I just told him a bit of what I liked” said AJ Styles “And that’s what they came up with – the music that I have, which is awesome, but, truth be told, it was made for James Storm when he was doing NXT.”

After leaving TNA in early 2015, James Storm made a couple of appearances for WWE and he was offered a development contract with the company.

Though the former TNA Champion chose not to sign with the promotion and he returned to Impact Wrestling in January 2016, around the same time when AJ Styles made his WWE debut.

Chris Jericho Reveals Original Plans For His Feud With Shawn Michaels

Chris Jericho had a memorable feud with Shawn Michaels in 2008. The two WWE veterans feuded for months and had multiple extreme matches during the time. However, Y2J talked about this feud on the latest episode of his Saturday Night Special stream and revealed that the original plans for their rivalry were different.

Jericho was asked about the favorite matches of his long career and he decided to respond by revealing his favorite matches in different companies. The first match he talked about was his bout with Shawn Michaels at No Mercy 2008 and the former World Champion revealed that originally it was only supposed to be a one night thing:

“In WWE, probably my favorite is still Jericho vs. Shawn for the World Title in the ladder match. It was in 2009 maybe, 2008 or 2009, and the reason why is – and I’ve said it before, but Shawn vs. Jericho, the famous feud that went for basically 7 or 8 months, was just supposed to be a one-night thing.

Because Shawn and I had nothing else to do as far as nobody else to work with, I thought, ‘Why don’t we try and make this longer, and see how long we can make this go?’ That’s what we did, and it turned into this one night only feud, throwaway thing, to the hottest angle possibly ever.”

Chris Jericho later also revealed his favorite matches in other companies. He called his bout with Hiroshi Tanahashi at Wrestle Kingdom 14 the favorite match of his NJPW run and said that in AEW, his favorite match is probably the AEW title match between him and Jon Moxley because of the whole storyline behind it.

Former NXT Champion Returning On Raw, Sasha Banks Stunned After SummerSlam Loss

WWE has confirmed via a press release that former NXT Champion Aleister Black will be returning to Raw as a guest on the KO Show this Monday Night.

His return was set up during the SummerSlam PPV where Kevin Owens did guest commentary and invited the former champion to his talk show during the upcoming episode of Raw.

Black has been out of action since the July 27 episode of the Red Branded Show where he was attacked by Seth Rollins and then taken out by Murphy. There is no word on what the company is planning for Black but it’s possible that he rekindles his feud with Rollins and his disciples.

Sasha Banks Stunned After SummerSlam Loss

The SummerSlam PPV saw Asuka challenging for not one but two titles on the same night as she faced both the Raw Women’s Champion Bayley and SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks in separate matches.

While Bayley managed to retain her title during the show, Asuka managed to beat Banks and win the SmackDown Women’s title after locking the Boss in Asuka lock and making her tap.

A WWE announcer tried to talk to Sasha Banks backstage after her title loss at the PPV event but the former champion was not ready to give a reaction as seen in the video below:

Sonya Deville Reacts To Loss In Loser Leaves WWE Match At SummerSlam

WWE had announced a Hair vs. Hair match between former Fire And Desire partners Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose for the SummerSlam PPV.

However, the company changed the bout to a Loser Leaves WWE match a few days before the PPV, making things much more interesting.

The match then saw Mandy Rose picking up the victory over the former MMA star. She pinned Deville after hitting a big Facebuster and then covering her for the pin after a big knee strike to her opponent’s face.

Sonya Deville reacted to the loss in this Loser Leaves WWE match at the PPV on Twitter and the former NXT star wrote ‘…. goodbye’ in a tweet.

On the other hand, Rose took on her own twitter account to mock her former partner, saying that maybe Sonya should have thought this one through:

There is no word on the plans for Sonya Deville after this loss. Speculation is that she could take some time off from WWE due to the attempted kidnapping last week because the match stipulation was changed after the incident.

There is also a belief that she could return to WWE programming during the planned drafts in October but whether or not it actually happens will be revealed in future.

Keith Lee Announced For Official Raw Debut This Week

WWE announced during the SummerSlam PPV tonight that former NXT Champion Keith Lee will be making his official main roster debut on tomorrow’s episode of Monday Night Raw.

The company released a video teaser for the arrival of the ‘limitless’ NXT star and they also released an official statement on their website after the announcement at the show.

Keith Lee dropped the NXT title to Karrion Kross at the NXT Takeover: XXX event last night and when asked about his future, Triple H had said that it was part of a long story.

Now this announcement suggests that him dropping the NXT title so soon was a thoughtful decision from WWE and they might have big plans for the former champion on the main roster.

Though this won’t be Lee’s first appearance on the main roster. He has previously made his presence felt during the build-up for the traditional Survivor Series match last year and he had a moment at the Royal Rumble event as well.

There is no word yet on what Lee will be doing at the show and it will be interesting to see who ends up being the first feud of the heavyweight star in the main roster.

Drew McIntyre Opens Up About Unscripted Moment At WrestleMania 36

His WWE Championship win over Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 marked the culmination of a long journey for Drew McIntyre who redeemed himself with years of hard work and persistence.

However, the happiness of his title win triumphed the Scottish Psychopath’s business sense for a moment after his big win and the former NXT Champion broke the WWE rule of not looking at the camera.

McIntyre talked about the unscripted moment during his recent interview with BBC.com and the WWE Champion said that he couldn’t help himself because it was the only way he could connect with the audience:

“It was the last scene of Wrestlemania and I needed to do something. I crawled to the camera and broke the law of wrestling – you’re not supposed to look in the camera, don’t stare down the screen.

I couldn’t help myself because it was the only way I could connect with the audience at home and I just thanked them for supporting me on my journey to the top and thanked them for choosing WWE in these difficult times.” said Drew McIntyre. “Millions of people tuned in as an escape.”

Drew McIntyre Wants To Face The Undertaker

McIntyre also talked about being mentored by The Undertaker during his early days. Drew revealed that he was told to listen to nobody except the Dead Man and expressed the desire to face the legend before he retires:

“I was told to listen to nobody except The Undertaker, so I would harass him all the time for advice. Sometimes it sounded like he was talking in riddles because he spoke at such an advanced level. An absolute legend. I think he has one more match left in him and it has to be with Drew McIntyre.”

The WWE Champion is currently set to defend his title against Randy Orton in a singles match at tonight’s SummerSlam PPV. We will be providing coverage of the special event starting with the SummerSlam Pre-Show at 5 PM EST.

Chris Jericho Comments On WWE’s ThunderDome

The new ThunderDome concept WWE introduced last week has generally been praised by the fans and it appears that the former AEW Champion Chris Jericho is liking the concept as well.

The former World Champion returned for his Saturday Night Live stream yesterday where he talked about things like his WWE theme song and more.

Talking about the Thunderdome concept, Jericho praised the idea saying that he thinks it’s great that the company has decided to get out of the Performance Center because it was killing their vibe:

“I loved it; I loved the presentation of it. It looked great, I think it’s great that WWE got out of the Performance Center;

I think it was really killing their vibe because it’s just a warehouse, do you know what I mean? It has nothing to do with – at least dress it up, or dark it up, or whatever it was, but the ThunderDome looked cool.”

Chris went on to say that the only thing that was confusing him were that the fans in the background were not making a lot of noise but the former WWE star said that it looked very cool.

Apart from this, Chris Jericho also talked about the stiff workers he has faced in his career and more. You can check out the latest episode of his Saturday Night Special below:

Triple H On Fan Backlash Over Velveteen Dream’s Return To NXT TV

Fans were not very happy with Velveteen Dreams’ return to NXT and they even expressed their disappointment over social media but Triple H seems to be firm on their stand over the NXT star.

The Game held a media conference call after the NXT Takeover: XXX event where he talked about things like the new NXT Champion Karrion Kross getting injured during his match at the show and more.

During the call he was asked about the #FireVelveteenDream hashtag trending on Twitter this past Wednesday and the former World Champion responded by saying that we have already talked about it:

“We’ve talked about this, we’ve said our piece on it and I understand people’s positions on it and their feelings of something that they seeing with the accusations online. So, I feel like there’s nothing more that needs to be said on it again. That’s it.”

Velveteen Dream was accused of sending indecent messages to underage teens among other things during the #SpeakingOut movement and he was taken off WWE TV for a while due to it.

However, the young star returned to WWE programming during the August 12 episode of NXT and when asked about it, Triple H claimed that they did not find anything against Dream in their investigation.

WWE Announces Tommaso Ciampa’s Return To NXT

WWE announced during tonight’s NXT Takeover: XXX event that Tommaso Ciampa will be returning to the brand at this Wednesday’s episode of the show.

The former NXT Champion has been off TV since he lost a singles match to Karrion Kross at the “Takeover: In Your House” event in June.

Due to the announcement of his return to NXT Television coinciding with the NXT Championship win of Kross, fans have started speculating if Ciampa could continue his feud with the former Impact star upon his return.

However, another element which has made things interesting is the fact that the newly crowned champion suffered an injury during his match at the PPV event.

While not many details about his condition are known at the movement, the possibility of Kross having to relinquish the title and taking time off due to the injury is pretty high.

If a place opens in the NXT title picture it wouldn’t be hard to imagine that Tommaso Ciampa will try to claim the spot and become the new champion.

What actually happens and what are the company’s plans for the returning star will be revealed in future but as of now the possibility of Ciampa getting involved in the NXT title feud looks very high.

Karrion Kross Injured In His Title Match At NXT Takeover: XXX

Karrion Kross continued to impress with his performance at tonight’s NXT Takeover: XXX event and he managed to defeat Keith Lee to win the NXT Title in the main event of the show.

However, not all the news coming out of the PPV was positive for the former TNA star and latest news has revealed that the new champion suffered an injury during his bout at the event.

Triple H hosted a media call after the event went off air and the Game revealed that Kross appears to have suffered a separated shoulder during his match.

https://twitter.com/WWENetwork/status/1297405713904533504?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw

While the exact spot where he suffered the injury wasn’t revealed, the former World Champion praised Karrion Kross for finishing the bout despite the injury.

There is no word yet on how long the NXT Champion will have to stay out of action due to the damage but reports have revealed that he is set to undergo MRI to get a better idea of his condition.

Triple H mentioned that they will try to figure out what’s up and how to work around it once the results of Kross’ MRI are in and they have a better idea of the situation.

It would be interesting to see what this injury means for the future of the NXT title and if the newly crowned champion will have to relinquish the title because of it. We will keep you updated on his status.

CM Punk Reveals His Favorite SummerSlam Match

SummerSlam is a hot topic among fans right now with the PPV being only a few days away and CM Punk also recently joined in on the conversation, revealing which is his favorite SummerSlam match.

The former World Champion recently held a Q&A session on his Twitter account where he answered questions related to life lessons, his film Girl on the Third Floor and more.

In light of the recent revelation that Renee Young will be leaving WWE, Punk was asked how it was working with her on WWE Backstage and he said “Renee is the best. Super excited for her!  Can’t wait for the cook book and the podcast….”

A fan then asked the former WWE star which was the favourite SummerSlam match of his WWE career and CM Punk claimed that it was the one against the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar.

The former WWE Champion also answered questions related to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, possibly writing a book and more. You can check out some of his top replies below:

The match CM Punk talked about took place in 2013 and it was Punk’s last SummerSlam appearance before he left the company.

Brock Lesnar managed to win this no disqualification bout with help from Paul Heyman after hitting Punk with an F-5 onto a chair.

Triple H Explains How He Handles Arguments With Vince McMahon

Despite some recent reports about his position in WWE, Triple H is still perceived as the successor of Vince McMahon and fans believe that he will take over as the head of the company when the Boss retires.

There is an interesting dynamic between the two as well because Mr McMahon is the father in law of The Game and the grandfather of his kids.

Triple H talked about his relationship with the Boss during his appearance on The Bill Simmons podcast and explaining how they handle arguments with each other, the former World Champion claimed that they get over it pretty quickly:

“In terms of arguments, we both kind of get over it quickly, you have moments and things happen and come up and we just get past it and get over it.

If it came down to it and it meant the difference of my kids having their grandfather in their life or not, I’d have no problem just walking away.” said Triple H “I’d walk because it’s not worth it at the end of the day. Family business is awesome, though. I love it and wouldn’t change a thing.”

The King Of Kings also praised the work ethic of the chairman saying that he is a machine. He explained that Mr. McMahon has never missed a day at the office and even when nobody else was there, he was still working.

Explaining the reason behind this dedication, Triple H said that Vince McMahon still has passion for his work even after all these years, and everyday he gets up looking forward to work instead of dreading it.

Triple H On Possibility Of Randy Orton Having A Run In NXT

There have been reports of Randy Orton wanting to work with NXT talents. His exchange with Tommaso Ciampa in particular have made many wonder if we can see the Viper going down to NXT for a feud with the former NXT Champion and other stars from the brand.

Triple H was asked about the possibility of The Viper coming to the Black And Yellow brand during a recent media call and the Game said that there are always conversations around this stuff. However, the former World Champion went on to explain that while they always have these options, getting them to fruition is a little bit more difficult:

“So changing things and trying to build in things on different days is very very difficult and a lot more challenging than people would think. While those options are always there and always discussed, getting them to fruition at this point in time, sometimes, is a little bit more difficult, but I can tell you this, Randy’s a little more public about it and puts it out on social [media].

I field calls all day long about talent wanting to do something in NXT and vice versa. There’s a constant there. I know from my end, as a performer, when you see talent and you see somebody that’s very good, and it peaks your interest. ‘Well, I’d like to work with them.’ That’s what Randy’s doing.”

We have seen people like Finn Balor or Charlotte Flair moving to NXT for feuds in recent times so the possibility of Randy Orton going down there to work doesn’t seem too farfetched. With the Survivor Series PPV being not too far away, another possibility is that we can see a cross brand feud between The Legend Killer and the NXT star but whether or not it actually happens will be revealed in future.

AJ Styles Says Former NXT Champion Will Be A Big Name In Future

While Ricochet hasn’t been able to score a lot of big wins in the main roster so far, many believe that he will be a big star in the future and it appears that AJ Styles is one of the names who believe in the high flying star.

The former World Champion recently appeared on WWE’s The Bump where he talked about things like Jeff Hardy being a great tag team competitor and more.

Talking about the former NXT North American Champion, Styles said that Ricochet is one of the best high fliers he has ever seen and claimed that the young star will go on to become a much bigger name than he is now:

“Well, I can tell you, Ricochet is definitely one of the best high fliers that I’ve ever seen, he’s unbelievable; he’s a talent that will go on to be a much bigger name than he is now. Everything he does just seems so effortless. I have so much respect for him and where he’s come from.”

AJ Styles also responded to the praise from Bret Hart saying that he has gotten to know Bret over the years and it means a lot for him to have someone like the Hitman sing his praise.

Styles is currently set to defend his Intercontinental Championship against Jeff Hardy at this week’s episode of SmackDown and it’s believed that this bout will lead to a rematch between the two at the upcoming SummerSlam PPV.

Paul Heyman Reacts To Renee Young’s Departure: “She Brought Out The Very Best In Everyone”

Various people related to the wrestling industry have been reacting to the news of Renee Young leaving WWE since the news broke yesterday and one of the surprising reactions came from Paul Heyman.

The former Raw Executive Director took on his Twitter to comment on the departure of the female star saying that she brought out the best in everyone she worked with.

Heyman continued the praise on Instagram as well and the ECW founder said that he is forever indebted to Young for her on-screen generosity and trust:

“She always brought out the very best in everyone she worked with, and I am forever indebted to her for her on-screen generosity and trust. I look forward to whatever projects she chooses to grace with her passion and personality and thank her for the opportunity to work with such a professional.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/CEFgcVzhAo0/

Renee Young has been with WWE since 2012 and she has worked her way up from NXT to the main roster and from being a backstage interviewer to one of the prominent faces of the WWE broadcast team.

Reports suggest that she will be working the SummerSlam PPV. Though there is no word yet on when she will wrap her duties with the promotion or what she is planning for her future.

Cody Rhodes Responds To Claims About AEW’s Interest In Goldberg

We have heard rumours of AEW’s interest in Goldberg a number of times. It has been said that AEW President Tony Khan is interested in bringing the WCW veteran to the company but Vice President Cody Rhodes is denying these claims.

One such claim was recently made by Jim Cornette who said on his podcast that Khan wanted the former Universal Champion to re-enact his legendary undefeated streak in AEW.

However, the current TNT champion responded to these claims from the wrestling veteran on Twitter and he claimed that his company has had no contact with Goldberg:

Even if AEW had interest in bringing the WCW veteran to the company, it wouldn’t be possible to sign him right now because Goldberg himself recently revealed that he is still under WWE contract.

The former World Champion revealed that he signed a three year deal with the company to stay with the promotion till 2022 and wrestle two matches each year.

Goldberg has already wrestled a couple of matches for the company this year so it’s not very likely that we will see him on WWE programming anytime soon but he should return to WWE TV down the line.

Seth Rollins Comments On His Relationship With Jon Moxley

The Shield is considered to be one of the most impactful factions in the wrestling history and one of the main reasons for their success is believed to be the real-life friendship between the trio of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.

However, there have been speculation about the relationship between these three since Mox decided to leave WWE to join rival promotion AEW and The Architect made some interesting comments on his departure.

During a recent interview with Bleacher Report, Rollins addressed the status of his relationship with the current AEW Champion and Seth revealed that they are still on speaking terms:

“We still talk from time to time; I would love to see what he’s doing or how he’s doing or whatever. When his wife got sick, obviously I checked in on him to make sure he was doing OK and the dogs were good and all that good stuff.”

Seth Rollins also discussed the status of Roman Reigns saying that the Big Dog is a busy man and gave his praise to Reigns for taking care of five kids at once.

Rollins On Moxley Leaving WWE

The comments from Rollins that made people wonder if there was animosity between the two friends came only days after Jon Moxley made his AEW debut. Seth was talking about Jon Moxley’s decision to leave WWE and the former Universal Champion had said that Ambrose ‘took his balls and went home’:

“Ambrose gave everything he had to the company for the entire time he was here. He put his heart and soul into the travel and the schedule and the injuries and the work in the ring and all that stuff, but at the end of the day, he took his ball and he went home or he went elsewhere, at least.”

Though in other interviews, the Monday Night Messiah has also stated that he feels that we have not seen the last of the Shield and fans of the faction remain hopeful that we will see the trio together once again somewhere down the line.
