All signs point towards Killer Kross joining WWE in near future and now a latest report has revealed what the company is planning for the former Impact Wrestling star after he joins the promotion.
Dave Meltzer talked about the heavyweight star on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio and reported that Kross would be given a “fast track” once he signs with the company.
It’s speculated that this can mean that he will be introduced on NXT TV with a push or Kross can even be sent to the main roster directly instead of the Black and Yellow brand.
Killer Kross recently pulled out of an indie date he was booked for in Australia in three weeks. It was previously said that he is not taking bookings around WrestleMania.
Now in an update, Meltzer is reporting that he is not taking bookings after 14th February and so it’s possible that he could be joining the WWE roster in less than three weeks.
Killer Kross On His Free Agency
Killer Kross recently had an interview with WrestlingInc, where among other things; he talked about his current situation as a free agent.
The former Impact star is drawing interest ‘across the board’ after his release from Impact Wrestling and he said that he is grateful for being in this situation:
“I’m definitely grateful for it. That would be the easiest
way to summarize it. A lot of it also feels surreal but also at the same time
this is something I’ve been working for since the beginning of my career to be
here with options,”
The reports of WWE’s interest in Killer Kross first came out earlier this month. It was revealed at the time that the company was making some strong play to sign him and he even had a scheduled meeting with Triple H.
While other companies are also interested in signing the
former Lucha Underground star, the belief is that he will end up with WWE.
The SmackDown star along with her Fire and Desire tag team
partner Sonya Deville recently appeared on a video on fitness guru Bradley
Martyn’s YouTube channel.
During their appearance on the channel, the duo talked about
a number of things, including the brutal WWE schedule, getting heat from fans
on being a heel and more.
And while training with Martyn and her partner, the former Absolution member Rose mentioned that she has “just signed another five-year deal” with the company.
Mandy Rose joined WWE back in 2015 when she took part in the
sixth season of WWE Tough Enough. It was also the start of her pro wrestling
career.
She came second in the contest and was signed to a
development contract by the company afterward. Mandy then made her NXT debut in
January 2016.
Rose, along with Sonya Deville made her main roster debut in
November 2017 and the duo were joined by Paige as their manager. Paige parted
ways with them after becoming the SmackDown General Manager in April 2018 but
the two have stayed together.
Mandy Rose had signed a 5 years deal with WWE after Tough Enough, so a new 5-year contract would mean that she is now locked up with the company until 2025. You can check out the video from Bradley Martyn’s channel below:
It appears that Imperium member Alexander Wolfe has suffered an injury in the group’s 8 men tag match against The Undisputed Era at tonight’s WWE Worlds Collide event.
The match took place in the main event of the show and Wolfe
appears to have suffered a concussion or a stinger very early in the bout.
The NXT UK star went down after a taking a combination of a chop from Roderick Strong and a kick from Bobby Fish. The chop appears to have forced the kick to land on Alexander’s chin, causing the injury.
Fish went for a cover after the kick but the referee Drake Wuertz stopped the pin when he sensed that something was wrong. He then stopped the match as well and called for medics to come out.
The medical staff checked out the injured star at the ringside as the match restarted. Though Wolfe didn’t recover and he was then taken to the back with some help.
Triple H was asked about Wolfe’s status in the post show interview by Cathy Kelley and he confirmed the injury as well as the spot that caused the damage:
“Yeah, Alexander Wolfe got caught on the chin early, by a combo of Roderick Strong and Bobby Fish, and just got knocked out. Our medical staff came out there and got him outta there.”
Wolfe himself also commented on the injury via a tweet later on and confirmed that he is fine. You can check out Alexander Wolfe’s tweet along with some clips of the spot below:
I'm fine. ? I wish I could have finished the match but safety first. Thanks to @WWEDrakeWuertz & @wwe medical for taking care of me. You guys did an unbelievable great job today as always.
At this point, not many details are available about his status so it’s hard to say if Alexander will miss any time due to this injury. We’ll keep you posted on his status.
The reports of John Morrison signing with WWE came out in September last year and WWE finally confirmed the return of the former Champion in December.
Morrison then made his first WWE appearance in 8 years when he showed up during a backstage segment on the January 3rd episode of SmackDown and the latest WWE Chronicle episode documents the events of his return.
In the episode of the WWE documentary series, John Morrison talked about his comeback and revealed that a ‘butt dial’ from Vince McMahon actually led to his return.
Per Morrison, he first thought of returning to the company towards the end of his run as the Impact World Champion and he then decided to make a move. He texted Vince McMahon and got a callback but it turned out to be a ‘butt dial’
“Towards the end of my run as Impact Champion I felt
like it was time for me to make a move to a bigger organization, and the
biggest wrestling organization is here [in WWE],” Morrison said. “I
texted Vince, he texted me back,”
And then, actually he called me right away after that, and I picked up the phone. I was like, ‘Oh my God, Vince is calling me.’ He goes, ‘Hey John. Sorry, that was a butt-dial. Let’s talk next week.'”
John Morrison then recalled how he had a long talk with Mr. McMahon after this call, which led to a series of good talks with The Game, Triple H and his re-signing.
The former IC Champion also said that in his head, he felt that the door for his WWE return was always open because he treated people really good but he had gotten a little bit nervous due to all the time that had gone by.
John Morrison has reunited with his former tag team partner
the Miz since his return and WWE recently announced that both these stars are
going to be competing in the Royal Rumble match this Sunday.
Kylie Rae’s sudden departure from AEW last year had sparked all kinds of rumors and it’s a topic of discussion among wrestling fans even to this date.
The former AEW star seemed to have provided some more updates on her situation at the time recently when she made an Instagram post and talked about the mental health issues she has faced.
The female star posted a non-edited picture of herself from her official Instagram account recently and Kylie Rae opened up about how tough recent times have been for her and the effect her mental health issues have had:
https://www.instagram.com/p/B7uIqyHJeKe/
Kylie Rae who made her AEW debut during the Double or Nothing PPV in May last year had left the promotion abruptly before the Fyter Fest event in June, despite being advertised for the show.
Her sudden departure from the promotion had sparked all kinds of rumors including stories about dispute with locker room members as well as AEW management.
However, the female star had addressed these rumors in a similar Instagram post later last year and Kylie had confirmed that nobody in the company made her leave.
She claimed that AEW took her career to new heights and the experiences that came along the way were nothing but the best. You can check out her earlier post on the matter here.
The match between Undertaker and Goldberg at last year’s Super Showdown event was one of the most highly criticized bouts of the year. It saw both these legends making critical mistakes during the fight and botching their signature moves in scary ways.
The WWE Vice President Triple H recently had a lengthy interview with Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT in UK where he talked about things like false rumors of Enzo Amore returning to the company and more.
While discussing the much-talked bout between the two legends in Saudi Arabia, the Game claimed that people can say whatever they want but his hat goes out for both of them:
“People can say what they want about Saudi Arabia or the match between ‘Taker and Goldberg. My hat goes off to both of them, it was a bad situation.” said Triple H. “I can attest to it. It was about 105 [degrees] and 100 percent humidity ringside.”
The former World Champion, who himself faced Randy Orton in a singles match on the PPV earlier in the night mentioned that the two talked about the show after the event.
Triple H revealed that there were moments during their match where he wanted to change gears. However, he couldn’t do it because it was humanly impossible in the condition they were facing. Per him, competing at the event was like wrestling in a sauna.
While WWE tries not to mention Chris Benoit’s name, fans have not forgotten his excellence in the ring and every once in a while, a wrestling star also reminds people of his legacy in the squared circle.
Booker T who attended Chris Jericho’s Rock N’ Wrestling Rager took part in a Q&A session at the boat and talked about his early days in wrestling business.
During the session, The WWE Hall Of Famer also talked about Chris Benoit’s influence on his career, saying that his matches with the former WWE star were what put him on the map:
“It’s not talked about a lot, but the matches that put me on the map was with Chris Benoit in the best of seven series, god rest him and his family’s soul. Chris Benoit was literally, the greatest wrestler that I ever had the pleasure of being inside the ring with.
“He was one of the best wrestlers, if not, the best to put on a pair of boots. He brought out the best of every guy that got in the ring with him. Anyone who got in the ring with Benoit was a better person when they walked out of the ring, trust me.”
Booker T then revealed that he never had to practice his
matches with Benoit in advance and most of the things they did in the ring was
worked on the fly.
Apart from this, Booker also explained that The Nasty Boys were his favorite tag team to face and claimed that he is lobbying for them to be inducted into Hall Of Fame this year.

Killer Kross has become one of the hottest free agents in pro wrestling after finally getting his release from Impact and he is said to be drawing interest from across the board.
During a recent interview with WrestlingInc, the former Lucha Underground star talked about a number of things and also revealed how it feels to be in this position.
Kross explained that being in his current spot in the pro
wrestling world makes him feel grateful and to be here with options is
something he has been working for since the beginning of his career:
“I’m definitely grateful for it. That would be the
easiest way to summarize it. A lot of it also feels surreal but also at the
same time this is something I’ve been working for since the beginning of my
career to be here with options,”
“It’s funny, you try to get to this situation and
there’s no playbook for it. You clock in every single day and do the absolute
best job you can in finding the best version of yourself. You have to take a
leap of faith and hope things land where you would like them to.
Killer Kross continued by saying that you have to take a
gamble because there are so many wrestlers out there. He then claimed that he
has a lot of mixed emotions but it’s all good.
Where Will Killer Kross End Up Next?
While Impact took their time in letting the heavyweight star
go, it appears that his release couldn’t have come at a better time for the
former AAA star.
Just recently he was announced for his MLW debut and it appears that WWE officials are also taking some serious interest in signing him to the promotion.
It was reported last week that he had a scheduled meeting with none other than Triple H and Kross was likely to end up with the company.
Where would you like to see Killer Kross land after his release from Impact Wrestling? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
Paige is one of the few stars who have gotten the chance to work with CM Punk after the former world champion’s return to WWE programming as part of the WWE Backstage Crew.
The former Divas Champion recently talked to Seconds Out while she was in England with some other WWE stars to celebrate the new partnership between WWE and BT Sport.
During the talk, the former SmackDown General Manager discussed her experience of working with the Straight Edge Star and Paige claimed that he is wonderful:
“He’s so wonderful,” Paige said. “I respect
him. I didn’t get to talk to him until he came back, which was a big surprise
for me – I marked out. He’s very respectful and he helps. He guides you, like
when it comes to production meetings, he’s like, ‘Maybe, you can say this or
that.'”
Paige then talked about how it feels to get back to England and she said that it’s good to be back. The female star revealed that her family jokes with her on occasion and asks her if she has become an American now because of her accent.
The retired wrestler has been in news after some recent comments from her started rumors about her future and possible in-ring return. You can check out her remarks that have caused the speculation here.
Every wrestling star has his own signature set of moves which reminds people of him whenever they see them and for the WWE NXT UK Champion WALTER, it’s his vicious chops that fans associate with his character.
The Austrian star recently had an interview with Sports
Illustrated where he talked about things like his upcoming match at the Worlds
Collide tournament and more.
During the interview, he was asked when he realized that the chops can be his calling card and answering the question, WALTER revealed why he started using them:
“I started using it because I always found what’s most
effective for me was what was the most logical,” WALTER said. “I’m
not the most athletic guy, but I bring a certain amount of strength with me. I
have big limbs, big arms, and big hands, so I thought, I should use them.
The NXT star later explained that he started using the chops very early in his career. He went to Japan where he learned this striking technique properly.
When asked if his opponents ever complain about the chops, the WWE star said that he doesn’t care if they do. Per WALTER, no one complains to his face and if they do afterward, then it’s nothing he cares about.
Apart from this, the NXT UK star also talked about his teammates of Imperium, his comments about wanting to face Brock Lesnar and more. You can check out his full interview at this link.
Baron Corbin has been presented as one of the top heels of WWE in recent months. However, some fans have complained about his raise to this status saying that the heat he has with the audience is ‘go away heat.’
The King Of Ring 2019 winner recently had an interview with
The Houston Chronicle where he talked about things like his ongoing feud with
Roman Reigns and more.
Talking about fans’ comments about his heel persona, the former Constable of Raw claimed that he takes pride in being a ‘true heel’. Baron Corbin explained that he doesn’t want to be a cool heel and discussed the phrase ‘go away heat’:
“I take pride in being a true heel; I take pride in
really irritating people in that way so much that they are trying to make up
words like ‘go away heat.’ This is actual irritation that I am causing people.
And I am trying to do it as much as possible.” said Corbin, “I don’t want to be cool. I want to walk out and watch people’s faces just turned to anger and frustration. I am getting the middle finger from an 8-year old kid to a 90-year old grandmother.”
Baron Corbin continued by saying that he thinks it’s fantastic and more people should take pride in the ability to generate this kind of reaction from fans. He detailed his comments further saying that he doesn’t take cheap shots to get the heat.
Corbin said that he is not the guy who comes out and says ‘your town sucks’ and he takes pride in everything he does. You can check out his full interview at this link.
WWE has announced a contract signing segment and the possible main event for this Friday’s Royal Rumble go-home edition of SmackDown.
Daniel Bryan has been feuding with ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt since Survivor Series and the two are scheduled to face each other in a strap match for the Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble PPV this Sunday.
So the company has announced that Bryan will ‘tie his destiny’ to the WWE Champion by signing the contract for their bout on this week’s episode of the Blue Branded show.
Last week’s SmackDown episode saw Roman Reigns picking up a singles victory over Robert Roode which allowed him to choose the Falls Count Anywhere stipulation for his upcoming match with King Corbin.
The episode ended with Reigns putting Roode through a table with spear and the Usos then sent Dolph Ziggler through the announce table by diving outside of the ring.
After this, WWE has announced that Roman Reigns and The Usos will team up to face Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode, and King Corbin in a 6 man tag team match at Smackdown this week.
Since it’s the go-home episode for Royal Rumble and the
final WWE show before the PPV, we can expect the company to build some more
hype for the upcoming event on Friday night as well.
It was recently reported that former SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi who has been out of action since last July is expected to be backstage at Sunday’s Royal Rumble event.
Now a new report from PWInsider has revealed two more names who could be returning to the ring for the women’s battle royal at the show.
According to the site, both Ruby Riott and Nia Jax are currently scheduled to be in Houston, Texas for the Royal Rumble pay-per-view at Minute Maid Park.
Ruby Riott has been out of action since May last year after
undergoing double shoulder surgery. She had the operation in her right shoulder
in May and the same operation was performed on her left shoulder in August.
She was spotted at the WWE Performance Center earlier this month. However, it was said that the former NXT star is not expected to return to in-ring action until later this year so her return at Royal Rumble seems less likely.
On the other hand, Nia Jax underwent double knee surgery in
April last year and reports on her recovery revealed that the former Raw
Women’s Champion was doing great.
It was reported earlier this month that Jax is expected to be back in the ring soon and therefore it’s more likely that she will make a surprise appearance at Sunday’s Royal Rumble event.
So far WWE has only announced 5 participants for the Women’s Royal Rumble in Charlotte Flair, Natalya, Nikki Cross, Alexa Bliss, and Sarah Logan. So there are plenty of spots open for the mentioned stars to fit in.
Royal Rumble this year will take place at the Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas on Sunday, January 26.
The NXT UK Champion Walter recently had an interview with Mirror.co.uk where he talked about a number of things and also showed interested in competing with the WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.
Lesnar is going to enter Sunday’s Royal Rumble match at #1 and the UK Champion claimed that he would go in at #2 just to get a chance to lock up with the Beast.
“I will go in second, I don’t care”
Walter then explained why he respects Lesnar as the smartest professional wrestler on earth right now, while also repeating his comments about wanting to compete against the WWE Champion:
“I respect the guy because I think Brock Lesnar is the smartest professional wrestler on the planet right now,” Walter said. “The number one, work the least amount of time for everybody else, do your own thing… perfect.
I like how everybody else hates him for that because they’re just jealous that they are not as smart as him, right? So yeah, of course. I would love to wrestle Brock Lesnar.”
The Austrian star then said that Brock Lesnar is one of his favorite wrestlers too because he is very skilled and athletic and has a good mind for wrestling as well.
Walter has so far not been announced for the Royal Rumble match but he will be in town for the Worlds Collide event the night prior and fans are hoping that he will also show up at the PPV on Sunday Night.
German wrestler Jazzy Gabert took part in the Inaugural Mae Young classic and she was then signed to the NXT UK brand where she had been a regular since last May.
However, her run with the company ended abruptly when she didn’t take part in the NXT UK tapings last week and her sudden departure left people wondering about the reason behind her move.
During a recent interview with WrestleTalk, Gabert finally explained why she is leaving the company, revealing that she has been working on other projects outside of the wrestling world like reality shows in Germany, in between the tapings of the WWE show.
However, she was recently offered some projects which clash with her wrestling schedule and so the female star decided to ask for her release from the promotion:
“2020 Udo Lindenberg asked me if I can come on tour
again and a reality TV show offer came also in. Unfortunately, these projects
would cross the schedule from NXT UK and I had to make a decision, because
working all of these projects at once wouldn’t work.
As I couldn’t see myself moving on or up in terms of
storylines, I had to ask for my release. So it was completely my decision and
I’m happy about it. I always wanted to work for WWE and I’m happy that I can
tick that box. Of course, would I have loved to be a champion, for sure, but my
heart tells me it’s time to move on.”
Jazzy Gabert continued by saying that she is grateful for the opportunity WWE has given her and the German wrestler was immensely privileged to train with legends like William Regal and Shawn Michaels.
She mentioned how she was blessed to make her debut at Blackpool. Gabert claimed that while some say that the storyline she was placed in was not good, she was just happy to be out there and tried to make the best out of it.
Survivor Series 2019 was the first of WWE’s big four events to incorporate NXT as the third brand of the company and it saw some of the top NXT stars delivering impressive performances against talents of Raw and SmackDown.
Former NXT North American Champion Roderick Strong was one such star who delivered an excellent match and picked up a non-title win against the then US Champion AJ Styles and IC Champion Shinsuke Nakamura in a triple threat match at the show.
Roderick Strong talked about his victory on the PPV event when he spoke to Sports Illustrated recently and the NXT star revealed that the win over these two wrestling veterans had made him emotional:
“After the match, I was celebrating on the ground, and
I got emotional. I take a lot of pride in what I do, and that was a big moment.
I was very, very happy that I had the chance to do that with guys that I have
so much respect for, and ones I feel that have the same respect for me.
The former Champion continued by saying that those are two guys he has the utmost respect for. He also said that he is excited to continue working until the day he stops doing this, to show the world how good he is at his job.
Apart from this, Roderick Strong talked about his match with Keith Lee and being comfortable in the heel role. You can check out his full interview at this link.
WWE had planned to do a match between The Rock and Triple H
at WrestleMania 32 and the company had even teased this bout via a backstage
promo long before the show.
However, for the disappointment of fans who were hoping to
see these wrestling legends get in the ring to compete with each other one more
time, this bout was canceled later on.
Triple H was asked about the reason behind the change in
plans during his recent interview with TalkSport and the Game revealed that it
was canceled due to scheduling issues:
“Scheduling. I don’t remember the details of it but it
was one of those things The Rock and I had talked about doing to the point
where we even did the backstage promo where we were like ‘let’s throw a scene
out there and see what happens’.
And we did and it blew up, and of course, [then] we talked about it some more and then scheduling just got in the way.” revealed Triple H. “It would have been a blast to step in there with him one more time and tear it up.” (Transcription: sescoops.com)
Triple H continued by revealing that they had planned this
bout way in advance but then The Rock’s schedule changed and a few months
before WrestleMania he informed the officials that he can’t pull it off
anymore.
While the idea of Wednesday night wars between WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite seems to be a hot topic of discussion among fans, the officials from both sides have been claiming that they are not competing with each other.
AEW Vice President Cody Rhodes had just recently said that NXT is not their concern and now Triple H has made similar comments while keeping NXT in the perspective.
The WWE VP recently had an interview with Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT and when inquired about the competition they are facing, The former World Champion claimed that for him it is not a competitive thing:
“I don’t approach it as a competitive thing. To me,
we’re just putting on our shows. I’m gonna put on the shows when we need to put
them on, the best places we need to put them on, the right time slots for them
and with the best talent I can find in the world. And we already have them. I’m
confident in that. For me it’s not competitive against anyone or anything.
Triple H continued by saying that he just wants to put the
best show possible for fans of NXT and claimed that it’s funny because they
were doing the same thing a few years ago when there weren’t competitors out
there.
Cody Rhodes On Ratings War Between AEW And NXT
Fans have been keeping a close eye on the ratings of Dynamite and NXT ever since both the shows went on air and the difference between them has been a topic of discussion.
However, when asked if they are worried about NXT during an interview with Yahoo Sports, Cody Rhodes had made similar comments as Triple H and he had claimed that the Black and Yellow brand is not a concern for them:
“There’s a romantic way to look at the ratings and say ‘Here
we are, it’s the late 1990s again. Every Thursday let’s check ‘em.’ It’s fun to
look at the ratings but I know internally we’re not having any pep rally
speeches. Our concern is not NXT and I believe NXT’s concern is not us.”
The AEW official had then said that if anyone is going to succeed then they cannot be a reactionary brand and explained how it was a positive thing that there is a lot less cross over between the fan bases of both shows.
WWE Hall Of Famer and Raw commentator Jerry Lawler has
become a world champion after winning a career vs. title match at an indie
event this past weekend.
The former WWE wrestler competed against Matt Riviera in an
event of Championship Wrestling of Arkansas last Saturday and he managed to
defeat Riviera to become the new CWA World Champion.
Legendary Memphis Wrestling announcer Dave Brown was in the commentary for the show and you can check out a video of the 70-year-old WWE star competing at the event below:
Booker T Teases Royal Rumble Appearance
Booker T missed this week’s episode of WWE Backstage and her co-host Renee Young joked about his absence saying that the former Champion was training for an in-ring return at Sunday’s Royal Rumble event.
After this, Booker himself also teased an appearance at the show and he replied to a tweet from WWE on Fox Twitter with the following tweet of his own:
For those who don’t know, Booker T missed this week’s WWE Backstage episode because he is attending Chris Jericho’s cruise. Booker and several other Hall Of Famers such as Ric Flair had been booked for the cruise before the new WWE series kicked off.
Kane was recently confirmed to be a part of the upcoming Royal Rumble event and a new report seems to have revealed another spoiler for the upcoming show.
PWinsider is reporting that former SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi is currently scheduled to be at the Minute Maid Park in Houston for the PPV event this Sunday night.
Word going around is that the former champion will be returning to the ring soon and she will be sent to the SmackDown brand, similar to the Usos.
Naomi has been out of action since July last year. Her last televised match took place in the final week of the month where the female star picked up a singles victory over Sarah Logan on Main Event.
She had revealed in September that she has been out of action due to some health and family issues and it was later reported that WWE officials had left Naomi and the Usos out of the 2019 draft because they had no creative plans for them.
The Usos returned to WWE programming recently when they
appeared on SmackDown Live and saved Roman Reigns from an attack of King Corbin
and Dolph Ziggler during the January 3 episode of the show.
While not confirmed, the female Royal Rumble currently has
25 open spots and so it looks very likely that the former champion would be
returning to the ring during the show.
The ongoing angle between Rusev, Lana and Bobby Lashley is one of the most controversial storylines right now, yet it’s also one of the most talked-about things of WWE programming as well. During a recent interview with Real Talker, the Bulgarian Brute talked about a number of things and he also opened up about this storyline.
The former US Champion was first asked about his reaction to seeing his wife kissing another man and Rusev said that it’s no different than what the actors at Hollywood do. He detailed his comments saying that if you are an actor and a certain role requires you to do something like that then you don’t say no.
Rusev then said that they are all professionals and claimed that he doesn’t think it’s a problem for him at all. Continuing, the former US Champion told the interviewer that he thinks it’s more about Lana because she is the one who has to kiss another guy:
“It was always about her, I always asked her. You know, people always run to me and ask me ‘how are you feeling about this?’ I’m like ‘why are you asking me? Why don’t you go and ask her? She’s the one who is supposed to kiss him every now and again. I’m not kissing a guy.’ … So, kudos to her for being professional. If she didn’t agree to that then we would have done something completely different, right? But here we are, a few months in, and it’s the hottest thing going in WWE.”
The whole angle requires all of the involved superstars to show some extraordinary acting skills. During the interview, Rusev also talked about this and said that Vince McMahon actually praised the acting skills he has shown during this storyline. He revealed “Vince pulled me aside and told me this is a great acting performance. I’ve never been complimented on my acting before that.”
Apart from this Rusev talked about his time away from WWE during his shoulder injury in 2017. He revealed that before going into the surgery, he felt like his character wasn’t going anywhere on TV. Due to this, he felt tired of his long-haired look and decided to cut his hair. You can check out his full interview in the video below:
Charlotte Flair has embraced her father’s legacy and taken it to new heights in WWE. However, she recently revealed that there was a time when she wasn’t allowed to use the traits of her father, Ric Flair in the company.
The 10-times Women’s Champion recently had an interview with Metro.co.uk where among other things she talked about her father’s legacy in detail.
During the talk, she also recalled her early days in NXT and The former Women’s Champion revealed that she wasn’t allowed to use the things associated to her father when Charlotte first started in the company:
‘When I first started, I wasn’t allowed to “wooo”, do the
figure four, nothing was supposed to be associated with my dad. ‘And then at
NXT Takeover against Natalya [in 2014], I won the NXT women’s championship.
That day, I debuted my music which had his music in it, and I “woooed” for the first time. It just happened organically because my dad was at ringside, but that was never something I set out to do…”
Charlotte continued to explain that she didn’t want to continue the legacy but it just happened and she then asked how can you ignore the fact that your father is Ric Flair.
Apart from this, Charlotte Flair also talked about her childhood and mentioned how she was never raised to think that she couldn’t do anything a man could. You can check out her full interview at this link.
After being a babyface ever since her debut in WWE, Bayley turned heel for the first time in her career last year in September and since then, she has embraced the role.
The SmackDown Women’s Champion recently talked to MySanAntonio.com where she discussed things like similarities between Seth Rollins’ recent heel turn and her own transition to a villainous role.
During the interview, she was asked how far ahead in the time her heel turn was in the works and Bayley revealed that it was an on-the-fly thing. She also mentioned how changing her look was her own idea:
“In that particular situation, it was definitely kind of an on-the-fly kind of thing. I felt after Hell in a Cell that I needed to make a huge change. I didn’t want to come back the same person. I didn’t want to fight for the same things.
So it was really my decision to come out in this whole different attitude and whole different outlook, in a way that I never have before in order to see if I can jump the ladder. I think, for the long run, it’s probably the best decision I’ve made in a really long time.”
Bayley then discussed how nerve wracking it was once she was given a thumbs up for her heel turn because everything she had known and done in the past seven years was about to change.
While Bayley had shown signs of being a heel prior to the Hell In A Cell PPV last year, it was her loss to Charlotte Flair on the show which caused her to snap completely.
The female star lost her SmackDown Women’s title on the PPV. After the event, she cut down her signature ponytail and changed her entrance style, solidifying her heel turn.

WWE superstar and one half of the current Women’s Tag Team Champion The Kabuki Warriors, Asuka seems to have been involved in a shooting incident in Las Vegas which she escaped unharmed.
The current champion posted about it on social media earlier today. She mentioned that there was a scream in front of her and Asuka also revealed how she was protected:
I just escaped! There was a scream in front of me at #FashionShowMall. It was like shooting. #GUESS near the shooting range protected me.
According to reports from DailyMail.co.uk, the shooting took place at the Fashion Show Mall on the Las Vegas Strip on Tuesday when a teenage gunman opened fire.
A group of young people got into some kind of argument which resulted in one of them pulling out a gun. He then started firing at the crowd, injuring 2 people.

The Raw Superstar is currently involved in a rivalry with ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch. The Japanese star had beaten the current Raw Women’s Champion in a match last year at Royal Rumble before Lynch went on to main event WrestleMania 35.
After this, Becky Lynch challenged Asuka for a match at this year’s edition of the PPV and the two are now scheduled to square off against each other in a singles match for the Raw Women’s title at Royal Rumble this Sunday.

While the taped episode of AEW Dynamite from this year’s Jericho Cruise is yet to air, it appears that the company is already planning ahead and they are preparing to amp things up next year by broadcasting a live show from the ship.
According to reports from Heel By Nature, Cody Rhodes took on a mic after this week’s Dynamite tapings. He announced that AEW will have more involvement in next year’s Cruise and the February 2, 2021 episode of Dynamite will air live from the vessel.
Next year’s version of the Chris Jericho’s Rock ‘N’
Wrestling Rager at Sea has already been announced and the AEW World Champion
recently confirmed that the 2021 edition of his cruise will set sail on
February 1st next year.
Though it won’t be an easy task to broadcast a full episode of
Dynamite from the ship live and the company will need a lot more preparations
for the same.
This year, the company pre-taped matches for the episode airing tonight. They have recorded the show on two separate master tapes and plans call for them to fly both tapes on separate charter flights to Atlanta to ensure the broadcast.
Airing the full episode live from the cruise itself will not only mean that the company will have to bring even more equipment and crew on board but they will also have to prepare for things like weather.
So it will be interesting to know what preparations the officials do for ensuring an uninterrupted broadcast of the show.
