CM Punk gave a little preview of his WWE Backstage role before the airing of this week’s episode of the show when he tagged both Vince McMahon and Tony Khan in one tweet about catching up on the recent happenings of the wrestling world.
During a recent interview with WrestlingInc, the AEW President talked about a number of things and also revealed his thoughts on this move from the former World Champion
Khan first explained how he has never brought Punk’s name in any of the interviews by himself and discussing the Straight Edge Star’s tweet, he claimed that he is not sure why he was tagged:
“I haven’t talked to him in a long time. I wish him the
best and am not sure why he tagged me but it’s hard to talk about all of the
great things happening in wrestling without talking about AEW.”
Khan also spoke about his mentions of Punk saying that he
tries to be very honest whenever he is asked a question in media scrums and
claimed that he has never tried to lead anyone to believe that the WWE star
will be doing anything with AEW.
Apart from this, Tony Khan also revealed how AEW managed to secure the Bash At The Beach trademark made famous by WCW. You can check out his comments on the matter at this link.
AEW announced on the latest episode of Dynamite that their
World Champion Chris Jericho will be defending his title in a singles match at
next Wednesday’s episode of the show.
This week’s episode of the show saw Chris Jericho coming out with fellow Inner Circle member Jake Hager and he announced that he will be having a “Chris Jericho’s Thanksgiving Thank You Celebration” on next week’s episode of the show.
However, he was interrupted by Scorpio Sky and the rest of the SCU. Sky reminded the Champion how he pinned him during a tag team match at last week’s episode of Dynamite, which was Jericho’s first loss in AEW.
The trio then managed to get Chris to agree to a singles match against Scorpio for next week with the former WWE star putting his world title on the line:
The segment ended with a brawl between SCU and Inner Circle
Members with Michael Nakazawa, Brandon Cutler, and Jurassic Express making the
save for SCU.
Though this is not the only match announced for the show and the company has also confirmed that Kenny Omega will face Pac in an All Out rematch on Dymaite next week.
On the other hand, MJF will compete against Adam Page with the winner receiving the AEW Diamond Ring on next week’s episode of the show.
WWE Backstage saw another big surge in viewership with CM Punk’s official return to WWE programming this week after debuting with a very low number.
The episode featuring CM Punk talking about the current
state of WWE programming and possibilities of his in-ring return down the line
among other things drew a total of 180,000 viewers, according to Showbuzz
Daily.
This is an 80% increase from last week’s episode of the show
which featured stars such as the current NXT Champion Adam Cole and Samoa Joe
and had drawn 100,000 viewers.
5 episodes of WWE Backstage have been broadcasted so far with 2 special previews of the show drawing 597,000 and 426,000 viewers on October 15th and October 25th respectively.
However, the official premiere of the show which aired on
FS1 at 11 pm ET on November 5 had done surprisingly poor numbers, bringing in
only 49,000 viewers.
This week’s increased viewership for WWE Backstage is
another good news for WWE after the episode of Raw also saw a small increase in
audience compared to last week.
This week’s episode of Raw featuring matches such as Andrade
vs. Seth Rollins, drew an average of 2.127 million viewers, up from last week’s
2.058 million viewers.

The debate between CM Punk and AEW officials on offering Punk a spot in the company via a text message has been an interesting topic of discussion and both the parties have their own version of the story.
Many AEW officials have claimed in the past that they had proper offers sent to the former WWE Champion and one of the company’s EVPs Cody Rhodes recently repeated his words again.
Cody recently exchanged words with a fan on Twitter and replying to a comment about Punk, he again explained that he never sent anybody an offer via a text:
I was not unprofessional in my conduct. I never texted anybody an offer. He’s doing what he wants to do and fans should be happy that he’s happy regardless of which promotion.
The whole debacle started when CM Punk spoke to ESPN back in July ahead of his Starrcast interview during the All Out weekend. At the time, people had been wondering whether the appearance could lead to him joining the Elite at the PPV.
When asked about his relationship with the company officials, Punk had gone on record and claimed that he got a text offer from Cody which he didn’t know how to reply to:
“The last thing I got — I got a text from Cody [Rhodes]. And again, I almost don’t even know how to reply to them sometimes, because if I reply, they do interviews and are like, “Oh yeah, I just talked to Punk.”
I’m kind of damned if I do, damned if I don’t. I always think if somebody wants to do business with me, they can come talk to me. Texting offers isn’t really a way to do good business, at least.”
When asked if it was a specific offer for an All Out
appearance, the Straight Edge Star revealed that it was a general offer that
was texted to him through three people.
What do you think about the comments from CM Punk and the opposing claims from Cody Rhodes? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
Despite being moved to SmackDown Live during the drafts, the
Fiend Bray Wyatt has continued to be the special attraction for the live
audience of Raw and this week was nothing different.
This week’s episode of Raw saw The Fiend defending the
Universal Championship in a steel cage match once again after the show went off
air.
Though this time it was the former NXT Champion Drew
McIntyre who got a shot at the title and WWE once again used Wyatt’s signature
red lighting for the bout.
The Universal Champion was over with the crowd and he was said to be working as a crowd favorite. The closing moments of the match saw Wyatt teasing the win by leaving the cage through the door.
However, he then went on to defeat the former champion via a pin after hitting him with a Sister Abigail and taking him down with the Mandible Claw. You can check out some photos and videos of their encounter below:
Bray Wyatt has recently been involved in a storyline with Daniel Bryan and Bryan challenged him for a match at Survivor Series on the latest episode of SmackDown.
The Fiend accepted this challenge from the former champion and he will now be defending his Universal title against Daniel at the upcoming PPV on November 24.
R Truth managed to regain the WWE 24/7 Championship from the
former Champion Samir Singh after this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
Erick Rowan was gearing up for his match against enhancement talent Alex Malcom on Raw while both the Singh Brothers came to the ring side, being chased by R Truth.
Rowan, who hadn’t entered the ring yet took out both the
Singh Brothers when they crossed him and seeing this, Truth decided to abandon
his chase and head back to the locker room area.
After this, Sunil Singh took his brother backstage for a
check-up by WWE doctors but the doctors turned out to be a WWE referee and R
Truth in disguise.
Truth then took out Sunil and went on to attack and pin the now former champion Samir Singh to once again become the WWE 24/7 Champion. The company later posted a video of this title change on their YouTube channel which you can see below:
Samir Singh had won the 24/7 Championship at the Crown Jewel
PPV last month where he pinned Truth for the win. Now this title change marks
the beginning of R Truth’s 22nd run with the 24/7 Title.

CM Punk has been rumored for an in-ring return for a while now and his recent surprise appearance at WWE Backstage has only fuelled the speculation about him returning to wrestling in near future.
One of the possible destinations for his return is the
upcoming Royal Rumble PPV. However, the former Champion himself is saying that
he won’t be a part of the show.
Punk recently had a twitter exchange with rapper Wale while
he was holding a Q&A session and the Straight Edge Star asked him if Wale
is going to watch WWE Backstage tomorrow night.
The rapper responded positively to the question and he then
went on to ask a question of his own, inquiring Punk about a possible
appearance at the Royal Rumble PPV.
However, in response, the former WWE Champion said that he
won’t be appearing at the PPV event while also mentioning how he is working for
Fox Network and not WWE:
Though this is not the only interesting conversation CM Punk
had on Twitter recently and his exchange with AEW president Tony Khan has also
made some headlines.
Punk had tagged Khan in a tweet about catching up with the happenings of the wrestling world in the past few years and in response, Tony brought up the recent Saudi Arabia travel woes of WWE. You can check out their exchange at this link.

Seth Rollins was one of the first WWE stars to react to CM Punk’s surprise appearance at WWE Backstage last week. Rollins had told the former WWE Champion to fight him and he has called out the Straight Edge Superstar once again.
The Best In The World had tweeted about having to catch up on the last few years of wrestling for his new role at WWE Backstage and replying to him, the former Universal Champion once again challenged him for a fight:
Though while Seth Rollins is trying to get CM Punk to fight him, the former World Champion recently confirmed that he won’t be at Royal Rumble next year and there is no news of him returning to the ring anytime soon.
Shayna Baszler On Becky Lynch
This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw saw the NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Maria Shafir getting involved in a segment with Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch resulting in a brawl between these stars.
After the show, The Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch commented
on Shayna’s recent attacks, saying that she is coming after ‘The Man’ to make a
name for herself.
Baszler responded to these comments from Lynch in the following post-show interview and also commented on how she is preparing for her WarGames match before the upcoming Survivor Series PPV:
Earl Hebner spent a long time of his career as a wrestling
referee in WWE, though it appears that the veteran official does not remember
his time in the company very fondly.
Hebner recently had an interview with WrestlingInc where he talked about things like joining AEW, what his role in the company is and his favorite memories about Baltimore.
However, when talking about his time in WWE where he spent more than a decade of his career, the veteran compared it to AEW and claimed that he felt like a prisoner in WWE:
“It doesn’t feel like you’re in prison here, you’ve got
more leeway and it’s more relaxing. It felt like you were in a prisoner in WWE
but not in AEW. This is just a more laid back company and at my age, this is
great for me.”
Earl Hebner started his career in 1977 and spent a decade officiating matches for the Jim Crockett Promotions before joining WWE in 1988.
He stayed in the company for almost 17 years before getting
fired from the promotion in 2005 due to selling WWE merchandise without
permission.
He joined TNA after leaving WWE and had a long stint with the company now known as Impact Wrestling as well. He was the referee for the Nick Aldis vs. Cody Rhodes match at All In and has joined All Elite Wrestling after the company’s inception.
Tommaso Ciampa made his return to NXT on October 2 episode
of the show this year after spending almost 7 months in rehab following a neck
surgery which forced him to relinquish the NXT Championship.
During a recent interview with Brian Fritz of SportingNews.com to promote NXT on USA Network, the former NXT Champion talked about his time away and revealed an interesting tidbit about his injury.
Ciampa was talking about how NXT gave him the opportunity to be the top guy of the show for the first time in his career. He then went on to reveal that he had the option to retire from wrestling and take a backstage role but this is why he chose to come back:
“It’s why I had neck surgery and said I gotta get back.
I think I definitely had the option to walk away from it and maybe take on a
role backstage. For me, this career, it’s not over. I’m not done telling
stories yet.”
Though this is not the first time Tommaso Ciampa has provided concerning information about his health and he had shared similar details when he first relinquished the NXT title back in March this year to undergo the neck surgery.
The former Champion had shared a lengthy statement from his Twitter account, revealing that the doctors have told him that he will be wrestling on ‘borrowed time’ even if he returns to active competition after his rehab.
There has been a lot of activity in terms of wrestler contracts recently with WWE trying to sign many wrestlers to longer-term deals and some others asking for their release.
Now latest reports have provided an update on the contract
of two more WWE stars suggesting that one of them might be looking to leave the
company soon.
Dave Meltzer revealed on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that the contract of WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Kairi Sane is set to expire early next year.
Meltzer said that he hasn’t heard about Sane re-signing with the promotion yet. While Asuka seems to be happy in United States, Kairi has expressed interest in exploring other options so it’s possible that she leaves the company when her deal ends.
Though on the other hand, one Japanese star who won’t be leaving the company anytime soon is the current Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura.
A fan had asked Meltzer about Nakamura’s status recently and replying to it, the Wrestling Journalist had revealed that the current Champion has signed a contract extension with WWE a few months ago.
By re-signing, Nakamura has joined the list of stars who have signed contract extensions with the company in recent times including the likes of Roman Reigns and Randy Orton.
While Bray Wyatt has been portrayed as a heel since he debuted the Fiend persona, he is mostly cheered by the fans. Though Mark Henry believes that Daniel Bryan can change this situation and get people to boo the Universal Champion.
Henry was recently a guest on Busted Open Radio where he
talked about a number of things and also discussed the upcoming match between
these two WWE stars.
The WWE Hall of Famer said that the former World Champion is capable of telling a story in the ring which will turn Wyatt into a monster from a character that everybody loves:
“Daniel Bryan can tell a story in that match and make Bray Wyatt a monster, rather than somebody that everybody is loving and respecting, because he’s got enough history with the wrestling fans that they respect him,”
Henry went on to explain that the two performers will put on a great match but there will be a point during their fight, where Bryan will stop doing the bad things. He then went on to claim that by the middle of the match, the crowd will be booing Bray Wyatt.
This week’s episode of SmackDown Live saw Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt setting up their match and Wyatt will now be defending his Universal Championship against Bryan at the Survivor Series PPV on November 24.
Due to the experience of working various roles in WWE for more than 2 decades, Jim Ross has got to know Vince McMahon like only a few people do. And during the latest episode of his Grilling J.R. podcast, the former WWE star opened up about his relationship with the Chairman of the company.
Ross first discussed how McMahon has overachieved things in his entire life. Talking about his relationship with the Boss, he said that in his heart Vince knows that he can reach out to JR if he ever needed him for something as a friend and the same goes for the former WWE employee as well:
“Vince McMahon has overachieved his entire life in a
big way. I got to know him really well and still have great respect for him, He
knows in his heart that if he needed me for anything that strongly or that
serious, as a personal favor or as his friend, that I would be there no doubt.
And the same goes for me.”
The AEW commentator then claimed that Vince would respond quickly if the need to reach out to him ever occurred and he went on to recall how the WWE Chairman helped him during the time his wife passed away in 2017 after a car accident:
“I know that in my personal life, if something occurred and I needed to reach out to him, I know that he would respond quickly and positively, so I always believe that he has a very good heart in that respect. I can’t tell you all of the good things that he did and said and offered when Jan, [my wife], got killed. That means a lot to me, folks.”
Later in the episode, the current AEW star also discussed the well known workaholic nature of Mr. McMahon saying that he thinks McMahon is obsessed with the company that he has built. Jim continued by saying that while he doesn’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing, he thinks that there is nothing more prominent in Vince’s life than WWE.
Apart from this, Jim Ross recalled how his wife Jan used to compare Vince McMahon to the likes of Michael Jackson and Walt Disney as people who have created their own world so they can be the king of it. You can check out the episode of his podcast where he talks about Mr McMahon at this link.
Bray Wyatt introduced a new design for the Universal title with a blue colored strap on the latest episode of SmackDown. However, a lot of fans have been critical about this change and they believe that the company should have introduced a new belt altogether.
The Universal Champion replied to this criticism from his Instagram account recently and posting a photo of his son Knash with the title belt, Wyatt told people to ‘shut the hell up’:
https://www.instagram.com/p/B4_O83CpYp6/
This week’s episode of SmackDown saw Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt setting up a Universal Championship match and these two will now face each other at the upcoming Survivor Series PPV on November 24.
Adam Cole’s Best Moments In NXT
WWE recently posted a new video from their YouTube channel
which takes a look at the current NXT Champion Adam Cole’s best moments in the
Black and Yellow brand.
The list features the top 5 moments of Cole’s NXT career and
it begins with the current champion defeating Matt Riddle in a singles match to
retain his NXT Championship during the October 2nd episode of the show earlier
this year.
Other moments included in the list are the Undisputed Era’s victory in the 2017 WarGames match, Cole’s WWE debut and more. You can check out the video below:
A number of superstars such as Randy Orton, The Miz, and Paige have recently signed new deals with WWE but it appears that the former US Champion Rusev is not part of this list.
A fan was venting about the ongoing storyline between Rusev
and Lana on Twitter recently and he mentioned how the company is signing people
to 5-year deals now.
However, the fan went on to claim that the Bulgarian Brute has re-signed with the promotion and replying to him, Rusev disputed the claims that he has re-signed with the company:
It appears I'm totally wrong here. Rusev hasn't re-signed as of yet. What WWE are doing to him is a disgrace, and it's just shitty Television. Pathetic, and petty.
There aren’t many details available about Rusev’s current contract with WWE but back in June, it was reported that his contract would be expiring soon. Though the exact date for the same is not known.
What the former Champion is planning for his future once his contract expires is also unkown but many believe that him re-signing with the company is not very likely.
Rusev originally signed a development contract with WWE in 2010 and after spending almost 4 years in different development territories, he made his main roster debut during Royal Rumble 2014.
He was initially built as an unstoppable monster and Rusev was not pinned by any star in his debut year. However, his career went downhill after his feud with John Cena in 2015 and he hasn’t been able to regain the same status on the roster ever since.
The boost to SmackDown’s ratings after the Crown Jewel PPV
was halted this week and the show seemed to have gone back to the path of
decline in terms of TV numbers.
The episode featuring the Miz TV segment involving Daniel
Bryan and the Universal Champion Bray Wyatt in the main event drew an average
of 2.35 million viewers according to Showbuzz daily.
This is a 10% decline from last week’s episode of the show which was main evented by Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin in a singles match and had drawn 2.610 million viewers.
The SmackDown episode pulled a 0.7 ratings in the 18-49 demographic compared to last week’s 0.9 ratings and it was tied with Hawaii Five-O for #1 spot in the demo for the night.
The first hour of this week’s episode of the show featuring
the Tag Team Championship match drew 2.445 million viewers but the second hour
then saw an 8.4% decline and it averaged 2.255 million viewers.
This decline puts a halt in the climbing ratings of SmackDown which started after the Crown Jewel PPV. The post-Crown Jewel episode of the show had drawn 2.520 million viewers followed by the 2.617 million viewers for last week’s episode.
Not many expected Eric Bischoff to be released by WWE only a few months after starting his stint but now that he has left the company, people have been talking about his future and what he could do next.
One such role people believe he might be fit for is doing commentary on AEW TV and Bischoff revealed his thoughts on this possibility while speaking to WrestlingInc recently.
The former WCW President explained that you should never say never but he went on to claim that taking the role will be like going back to the future and he is not sure it would be a good fit for anybody:
“I hate to be so coy, but never say never. But highly
doubtful as it’s been there done that, If I’m gonna engage in something, it’s
gotta be something that I really feel challenged by and excited about. That
[AEW commentary] is like going back to the future and I’m not sure that would
be a good fit for anybody.”
Apart from this, Eric Bischoff also talked about the need of
authority figures in modern-day wrestling saying that such figures are still
necessary.
However, he went on to say that authority figures have been overdone to a point where it has become challenging to come up with a way to do it effectively and entertainingly without feeling like it has been done before.
CM Punk’s WWE Backstage appearance is probably the biggest news coming out of the wrestling world this week and after it, people have been discussing the possibility of him making an in-ring return sometime in future.
During the latest episode of his Grilling J.R. podcast, wrestling legend and AEW commentator Jim Ross also talked about the possibility of the former World Champion’s in-ring return.
JR first said that he would love to sit down with Punk and just talk about their friendship because anyone can ask him about an in-ring return. However, he then explained that if the former Champion does want to come back for one more match, he would build him right:
“Look, what if he just wants to do one match? Well, I
would take him to do one match. I would build him right – get him back on
television and build to one-match on-pay-per-view so you can maximize your
investment.”
Though Ross continued by saying that while he knows that Punk would go all in if he decided to do it, he doesn’t know what the Straight Edge Star’s commitment to the business is right now.
Apart from this Jim Ross also talked about Eric Bischoff possibly joining All Elite Wrestling saying that he would be fitting for the role of a manager or a backstage agent.
After teasing his debut for the past few weeks, Wardlow
finally made his first appearance on AEW Dynamite during this week’s episode of
the show.
Chris Jericho came out during a segment on the show and he talked about beating Cody Rhodes at the Full Gear PPV this past Saturday night.
Next came MJF who turned on Cody during the PPV and he claimed that if he hadn’t thrown the towel, then Rhodes’ wrestling career would have been over.
The two go back and forth about MJF possibly joining the Inner Circle and they tease tension only to hug each other at the end. Then comes Cody Rhodes.
Cody attacks both the stars and takes out Jericho. He then turns his attention on his former protégé but as Rhodes approaches MJF, Wardlow makes his debut and attacks the former Champion from behind:
The newest AEW star then takes out Cody on MJF’s command. The segment ends with the two standing tall and MJF claiming that he is the face of All Elite Wrestling.
It’s unknown what AEW is planning for Wardlow after his
debut but this segment makes it seem like he will be paired with MJF in the
coming future.

Ever since NXT went live on USA Network and Finn Balor joined the brand back, a lot of people have been wondering which other stars could join the Black and Yellow brand’s roster in future.
During the latest episode of WWE’s After The Bell podcast,
Cesaro discussed a number of things and also talked about the possibility of
him going back to NXT.
The former US Champion explained that he is not opposed to
the idea of joining the show and he believes that he will succeed there but
said that he wants to succeed on Raw or SmackDown:
“I want to succeed on RAW and SmackDown, you know what
I mean? Would I succeed in NXT? Yes. I just want to be successful, I want to do
what I do best, and I think bell-to-bell I’m pretty good at everything and
pretty good all around,”
Cesaro then talked about people not liking the way he talks. He said that English is not his first language and recalled how he had to rely on his wrestling abilities a little bit more due to this during his early days.
Apart from this, the SmackDown star also discussed wrestling being predetermined, competing in a one minute match with the Miz during a WWE show and more. You can listen to his full interview below:
Former World Champion Randy Orton recently confirmed that he has re-signed with WWE and now 2 more stars have been confirmed to have signed a contract extension with the company.
The company announced on the latest episode of WWE Backstage that the former WWE Champion The Miz and former Divas Champion Paige have both agreed to new multi-year deals with the promotion:
The Miz reacted to this news on Twitter after the show went off air saying that WWE has been his home for the last 15 years and it will continue to be so for years to come:
BREAKING NEWS dropped by @ryansatin on @FS1#WWEBackstage: I just signed a new multi year deal w/ @wwe. @wwe has been my home for 15 years & it’ll continue to be for years to come. I promise to work harder than ever to continue to give you MUST SEE TV. IT WILL BE AWESOME!
While neither the announcement nor the superstars themselves
have revealed the length of their new contract, Randy Orton did mention that he
will be staying with WWE for the next 5 years atleast.
Since the company is also looking to sign wrestlers to longer contracts, it’s not hard to assume that both these stars’ contract is similar to Orton’s new deal in length.
Though this wasn’t the only big news coming out of the WWE Backstage special and probably the biggest surprise of this week came during the closing moments of the show when CM Punk made a surprise appearance at the episode.
You can check out the video of Punk’s appearance at this link.

The former World Champion shocked the world late Tuesday when he made a surprise appearance at this week’s episode of WWE’s new in-studio series WWE Backstage.
The WWE on Fox Twitter account later confirmed that Punk has officially joined the show and he will be making periodic appearances on the series starting from next week.
The rumors of Punk joining the new WWE series first came out back in September when it was reported that his representatives have reached out to Fox officials regarding a potential role at the show.
It was said that Fox officials have tried out different variations of the show featuring booths of up to 5 people and they have auditioned a number of WWE legends for different roles.
News then came out that Punk has also filmed material for the show and the former WWE star had confirmed these rumors in various interviews last month.
Fans were hopeful about the Straight Edge Star getting the
role since the show is produced by officials of the TV Network and not WWE.
While Punk did try to throw off the fans by saying that he hadn’t heard back from Fox officials after his tryout, the fact that he pulled his merchandise from the pro wrestling tees store only fueled the rumors of his return.
Now we will have to wait and see what the former champion
brings to the mix and it will also be interesting to know how the WWE officials
feel about his return.
Former ECW star and current AEW coach Jerry Lynn had announced last week that he was pulling out of the Starrcast IV convention because of a health issue but at the time there weren’t many details available about his health.
The wrestling veteran provided an update on his status from
his Twitter account recently and in a tweet, he revealed that he will be
undergoing surgery for a bulging disc.
Lynn announced that he will be having this operation later this month on November 29 and revealed that it will take him 3 to 4 weeks to recover from the surgery:
Went over the MRI with the doctor today. Getting surgery for a bulging disc on Nov 29th. Good news is 3 to 4 week recovery!
Jerry Lynn started his wrestling career in 1998 and he got significant exposure when he got engaged in a two-year-long feud with The Lightning Kid in the early 90s. He then joined WCW’s Cruiserweight Division in 1995.
He signed with Paul Heyman’s ECW in September 1997 after getting fired from WCW while being injured, in July earlier that year. He stayed with the company until the end and main evented the last PPV under the original ECW brand.
Apart from these two companies, Jerry Lynn has also had
stints with WWE, TNA and ROH. He was signed by AEW as a coach and producer
earlier this year.
While it has only been a few weeks since AEW Dynamite made
its Television debut, people have already started feeling the need of a
mid-card title for the show.
Matt Jackson recently held a Q&A session from his
Twitter account while traveling and during the session, he answered questions
such as his favorite tag team besides the Young Bucks and more.
However, when a fan asked if the company will be introducing a mid-card title on their programming, the Executive Vice President replied negatively, saying that it won’t be coming anytime soon:
The upstart promotion has put a lot of emphasis on win-loss records and since the inception of the company, all AEW officials have claimed that wins and losses will matter in their organization.
When a fan asked if they have a way of booking around the possible problems they might face with the win-loss record, Nick provided an interesting tidbit, revealing that the record will reset with time:
While the AEW star did not reveal any further detail on the
matter, it’s very likely that they will have a yearly system for the win-loss
record.
The Young Bucks lost to Inner Circle’s Santana and Ortiz in their match at the Full Gear PPV and we will have to tune in to this week’s episode of Dynamite to see what’s next for the duo after this loss.
The inclusion of NXT into this year’s Survivor Series has made things very interesting and fans are hoping that we will get to see some inter-brand dream matches between the main roster and NXT which otherwise would not be possible.
Bobby Lashley recently had an interview with SportsKeeda
where he talked about things like Tyson Fury’s recent WWE debut, his pairing
with Lio Rush and more.
When asked which NXT star would be his dream opponent for Survivor Series, the Raw star took the name of his former partner Lio Rush saying that there is something there:
“Lio [laughs]! Because, you know, there’s something there. There’s something there. Of course, Lio can’t just wrestle me by himself because I’m now contradicting everything that I said before but he needs a plan and ultimately, he needs to execute that plan,”
Lashley went on to explain his choice saying that if he
takes the name of anyone else people will take it as if he is calling them out
so he is sticking with someone he knows.
Apart from this, Bobby Lashley also talked about his recent segment with the Monster Among Men Braun Strowman where the two crashed through an LED board.
Bobby explained that the former Wyatt Family Member is exactly like his character in real life because he is strong as hell. He shoots guns and drinks beer. You can check out Bobby Lashley’s full interview here.
