Bully Ray On How AEW Could Have Improved MJF’s Turn At Full Gear

The match between Cody Rhodes and Chris Jericho from Full Gear was one of the most anticipated bouts of the show and the ending which saw MJF turning on Cody has become a topic of discussion among wrestling fans.

During the latest episode of Busted Open Radio, wrestling veteran Bully Ray talked about the PPV including this championship match and explained how the company could have made the moment even better.

According to the former WWE Star, MJF should have thrown in his scarf instead of the towel to end the match and it would have been very symbolic:

“What MJF should have done is thrown in his scarf, because the scarf could have been symbolic of the towel. You could have seen him get on the apron, look at the referee, and throw in the scarf. The referee could have looked at the scarf as if that was the throwing in the towel. That would have been very symbolic.”

Bully went on to say that MJF should have then blotted the face of Cody Rhodes with the scarf to get his blood on it and wear the scarf as his Shroud of Turin.

The main event of Full Gear saw MJF throwing the towel on behalf of Cody Rhodes. However, the AEW star then turned on Rhodes and attacked the former ROH World Champion after the bout was over.

The Young Bucks Mock WWE Saudi Arabia ‘Travel Snafu’ On Being The Elite

The 179th episode of The Elite’s hit YouTube series Being The Elite features unseen footage from last week’s AEW Dynamite and Saturday’s Full Gear pay-per-view.

The show starts with an off-air moment from a recent AEW tapings where Cody and The Young Bucks are seen throwing shirts into the crowd and then they celebrate a fan’s birthday in the ring.

This segment is followed by the opening sequence of the show and then we see the Young Bucks waiting for their flight at an airport and they mock WWE’s recent travel debacle overseas in Saudi Arabia after Crown JEwel.

The Bucks talk about the “elephant in the room” – a reference to how Corey Graves the travel snafu last week on WWE’s After The Bell podcast.

Corey Graves Blasts WWE Talent For Fueling Conspiracy Theories About Saudi Arabia ‘Travel Snafu

While delayed at the airport, they refer to a “hostage situation” and being stuck in a “lawless desert” – clear references to Saudi Arabia. Matt points out that they’re actually just laid over in Dallas, TX and will be boarding their flight very soon.

Nick continues joking, “I might not be able to see my kids ever again. I’m scared to death, it could be up to 24 hours that we’re stuck here.”

The segment appears to be over, but then Matt is shown prompting Nick to make a few statements that resemble a hostage-style video. In a robotic tone, Nick says, “Due to mechanical issues, this flight has been delayed.”

Another brief clip is shown of Matt prompting Nick to say, “Please refrain from listening to all the dirt sheets.” This is a reference to WWE’s forceful pushback against Dave Meltzer and other journalists covering the story.

Andrade Mocks Sin Cara Over His Release Request, Most Memorable Survivor Series Eliminations

Sin Cara made some headlines yesterday when he took his Twitter and revealed that he has decided to ask for his release from WWE in a lengthy statement.

Andrade, who has recently been feuding with Cara took notice of this Tweet and the former NXT Champion mocked his statement with a tweet of his own which roughly translates to “I couldn’t retire Rey Mysterio but Sin Cara better run, retire or quit hahaha,”:

While Sin Cara made the decision to go public with his request, latest reports suggest that WWE officials have not accepted his release request and he is likely to stay with the company until his current contract expires.

Most Memorable Survivor Series Eliminations

WWE recently posted a new video listing some of the most memorable Survivor Series eliminations ahead of the 33rd edition of the event taking place later this month.

The video takes a look at some of the most interesting eliminations in the traditional tag team elimination matches from the Survivor Series PPV.

The list includes moments such as Ric Flair winning the 1991 elimination match for his team after the referee disqualified everyone else and Sting making his WWE debut during the 2014 edition of the PPV. You can check out the full video below:

Cesaro On Who Came Up With ‘We The People’

While Chris Jericho brilliantly shot down the ‘We The People’ chants in his highly praised Dynamite promo a few weeks back, a new interview reveals that it wasn’t really an idea from the ‘bad creative’ as Jericho said.

Cesaro, who was the other half of the Real Americans tag team with Jack Swagger and made these chants famous, recently had an interview with SportsKeeda where he discussed a number of things.

While talking about the different tag teams he has been a part of over the years, Cesaro recalled his partnership with the likes of Tyson Kidd and Sheamus and he went on to claim that ‘We The People’ was their idea:

“I was lucky to be in some very great tag teams with people I’ve gotten along with tremendously well: Jack Swagger, Tyson Kidd and Sheamus. ‘We The People’, by the way… That was our idea and it’s still over!”

Cesaro was also asked if he would like to team up with Sheamus again after he returns and replying to the question, the former US Champion said that he is currently focusing on his singles career.

Apart from this, he also talked about a number of other things and revealed that he still talks to Sheamus regularly. You can check out his full interview at this link.

Update On Sin Cara Asking For WWE Release, His Current Contract

WWE Star Sin Cara took on his Twitter yesterday where he posted a lengthy statement and revealed that he has decided to ask for his release from the company.

Now a new report from PWinsider has provided some more updates on the situations and it reveals how the WWE Officials are reacting to the high flying star’s request.

The report reveals that he is interested in joining the Combate Americas MMA promotion which features several wrestlers including the former WWE World Champion Alberto Del Rio.

However, while the Raw star may have started thinking about his future, word going around is that the officials will not be granting his request and he is expected to stay with the company. Cara has 3 years left in his current contract.

Sin Cara is part of WWE’s ongoing European tour and he was scheduled to be featured on next Monday’s episode of Raw from Boston, Massachusetts but now the plans have changed and officials have decided to send him home instead.

Jorge Arias, the man who currently plays the Sin Cara character joined WWE in 2010. He spent a couple of years in development, before being brought up to main roster in 2011 as Sin Cara temporarily, in the absence of Luis Urive who originally played the character.

He took over the gimmick permanently after Urive was released from his contract in 2013 and he has been playing the role on WWE television ever since.

Jake Hager Tells Rusev To Leave WWE (And Lana)

Jake Hager left WWE back in 2017 and the former World Champion is advising another star from the company to follow his path and quit the promotion.

Rusev has recently been involved in a cheating angle with his wife Lana and Bobby Lashley and a fan recently tweeted that he would be happy if WWE dropped this storyline.

The former US Champion noticed this tweet and he replied to the fan with a tweet of his own saying “Dear, guy …. Nobody cares what you are good with”:

Hager who was formally known as Jack Swagger in WWE then took his own twitter to address Rusev in a tweet which he has since deleted. In the tweet as seen below, he advised the WWE star to leave his wife and the company behind:

Rusev returned to WWE programming during the September 17th episode of Raw but the former champion returned alone and gave no answer when asked about Lana.

Lana then made her return to WWE programming during the September 30th episode of the show where she joined Bobby Lashley and caused Rusev’s Universal Championship match with Seth Rollins to end in a no contest.

These three have been involved in a storyline since then but there is no word yet on where the angle is headed or how long WWE plans to continue this storyline.

SmackDown Audience Continues To Improve

SmackDown continued to improve its viewership and saw another small increase in the ratings this week after recovering from the surprisingly low viewership for the F1S episode.

This week’s episode of SmackDown featuring the Fiend’s return to the brand and a main event between Baron Corbin and Roman Reigns drew a total of 2.617 million.

This is a 3.9% increase from last week’s episode of the show which featured the NXT invasion with a highly praised main event between Daniel Bryan and Adam Cole and had drawn 2.520 million viewers.

The first hour of the show drew 2.725 million viewers but the second hour saw a significant 8% drop in the ratings with 2.510 million viewers which might be a concerning news for the WWE officials.

Compared to this week’s episode of the show, last week’s episode of the Blue Brand had bounced back from the 888,000 viewers it did while being broadcasted from F1S.

The episode of Raw which broadcasted during the same week and featured the follow up from the Crown Jewel PPV in Saudi Arabia had also seen a slight increase in the viewership of the show.

The show featuring a main event match between Adam Cole and Seth Rollins for the NXT Championship had drawn an average of 2.135 million viewers which was an increase from the 2.133 million viewers of the previous week.

Kofi Kingston Opens Up About ‘Disheartening’ WWE Title Loss To Brock Lesnar

Kofi Kingston had an incredible run with the WWE title but a lot of fans were disappointed with the way his WWE championship reign ended during SmackDown’s Fox Premiere back in October.

During a recent interview with Alex McCarthy of Talk Sport, the former WWE Champion opened up about his title reign and his ‘disheartening’ loss to the Beast Brock Lesnar.

Kingston first talked about his long reign with the title but he then admitted that it was a disappointment to go out there and lose the championship so quickly on such an important night in SmackDown’s history:

“It was a bit of disappointment to go out there and have it go so quickly. On the biggest night of SmackDown. To have it end like that is a little bit disheartening, but at the end of the day, it is what it is. It’s not like I can do anything about it. “

Though Kofi is keeping a positive outlook on the whole situation. He later said that you have to lose the title after winning it to become a multi-time champion and he is hopeful about more reigns in the future.

Kofi Kingston held the WWE Championship for almost 6 months after winning it at WrestleMania 35. However, he lost the title in quick fashion during the SmackDown 20th anniversary special after Brock Lesnar beat him with just one F5.

The Undertaker Announced For Appearance In Chicago Area During Survivor Series Weekend

While there are no reports of him returning to WWE anytime in the near future, a new announcement is making fans wonder if the Undertaker could be making his comeback during the upcoming Survivor Series PPV.

The Dead Man has been announced to be making an appearance at the Chicago Sports Spectacular on Saturday, November 23 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.

https://www.facebook.com/fitermansports/posts/2765362620148609:0

What’s interesting to note here is that the Convention Center is near the Allstate Arena where WWE Survivor Series will be held the next day on Sunday, November 24th.

This means that the former World Champion will at least be in the Chicago area during the Survivor Series weekend and it wouldn’t be a surprise if he also visits the arena during the show.

The Undertaker last wrestled at the Extreme Rules PPV back in July this year where he teamed up with Roman Reigns to defeat the team of Drew McIntyre and Shane McMahon.

He did not make an appearance at the recent Crown Jewel event, making it the first WWE event in Saudi Arabia not featuring the legend and currently, there is no word yet on when he might make his next WWE appearance.

John Cena On Being Wrong About The Rock

John Cena recently spoke to Sports Illustrated to promote his upcoming movie Playing with Fire where he talked about his career in wrestling, the wrestling fanbase and more.

There was a time when Cena was feuding with the Rock back in 2011 and he had criticized the Great One for leaving WWE to join Hollywood and pursue an acting career.

However, in recent years, the Cenation Leader himself has grown to love acting and according to John, it has made him realize how he was wrong about the Rock:

“I’ve told Dwayne Johnson that when I called him out for a lack of love for WWE, I was wrong, I was ignorant. He loves WWE, but he goes from shooting one project to the next. He blazed a trail and I didn’t understand that, but now I totally understand. I was wrong.”

The 16 Time World Champion went on to explain how there is no way to be with WWE when you are filming because even if you come back to do a show on an off day, you can jeopardize the whole film by getting hurt.

Apart from this, John Cena also talked about his reduced workload since leaving WWE, how professional wrestling is an addictive industry and more. You can check out his full interview at this link.

Jim Ross Says Joining AEW Has Given Him A New Direction In Life

AEW is credited by a lot of people as the company that has reignited their passion for wrestling and it appears that the wrestling legend Jim Ross is one of them.

JR talked about a number of things during the latest episode of his podcast Grillin’ JR with Jim Ross and Conrad Thompson and he also answered questions from the fans of the show.

While talking about his new position at AEW, Ross credited the president of the company Tony Khan for saving his life because he now has a direction and a destination:

“I love to travel. Tony Khan saved my life, I believe that. Because I like getting up now and going somewhere.

Every Tuesday morning I’m up at 4 or 5 o’clock at the latest to catch a plane, first flight out, boom I’m going to the city to have our production meeting on Tuesday night and then our show on Wednesday. So I got a direction now and a destination.”

It’s worth mentioning here that Ross had made similar comments when leaving WWE. After losing his wife a couple of years earlier, Jim had said that he needs to move on and stay busy after losing his best friend.

Jim Ross left WWE back in March 2019 after he chose not to re-sign with the company. In April it was announced that he has signed a multi-year contract with AEW as a commentator and senior advisor.

The Rock Praises Cody Rhodes’ Passionate Dynamite Promo

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite saw Cody Rhodes cutting a very passionate promo which was praised by fans and it is being considered as one of the best promos of the year.

The buzz surrounding the promo seems to have reached the People’s Champion The Rock as well and the Brahma Bull took on his Twitter recently to praise the AEW Star’s work on the latest episode of Dynamite:

The former WWE Star also responded to the praising words from the Great One and Cody replied to the tweet with a tweet of his own. Rhodes posted a photo of himself wearing a Brahma Bull vest and said thank you to the Rock:

AEW had announced that Cody Rhodes will be making a career announcement on the latest episode of Dynamite and the former ROH World Champion did so while also cutting a very good promo on this week’s episode of the weekly show.

Cody, who is set to face Chris Jericho for the AEW World Title at the upcoming Full Gear PPV announced that he won’t be challenging for the AEW Championship in future if he loses his upcoming match against Y2J.

He will now challenge the Master Of Manipulation for his title at the Full Gear PPV this Saturday. You can check out the updated match card for the event at this link.

News On Ticket Sales For AEW Full Gear, Backstage Morale At Dynamite

All the PPVs AEW has presented so far have been sold-out events but it appears that the same is not going to be the case for their next Pay Per View event in Full Gear.

Despite less than 48 hours remaining to the show, more than 1,200 tickets are available for the event from Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore this Saturday per the listings on Ticketmaster.

The available tickets are priced between $30 and $125 and there are also offers on two-floor seats that include the commemorative take-home chair. These tickets are priced at $300 each.

Speaking of ticket sales, PWinsider is reporting that the attendance for the first PPV go-home episode of AEW Dynamite this past Wednesday night was in the 5,000 range.

People who were in attendance noted that there were lots of empty seats on the hard camera side for the episode and you can see some photos from the arena below:

Though despite this, the site notes that everyone backstage at the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, NC were thrilled with how the go-home episode for Full Gear went.

The Full Gear PPV will take place from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore this Saturday on November 9th.

Cody Rhodes On Seth Rollins Calling AEW The ‘Minor Leagues’

Cody Rhodes recently appeared on the Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg podcast for ESPN Radio, where the former WWE Star talked about things like his thoughts on AEW programming so far, Finn Balor’s heel turn and more.

Seth Rollins was recently asked about possibly facing Omega in WWE and replying to the question, the now-former Universal Champion had taken some shots at Kenny’s current home in AEW, calling the company the ‘minor leagues’.

When asked about Rollins’ remarks about their company, Rhodes recalled how Seth’s first dark match in WWE was with him and he went on to say that he doesn’t take the former Shield Member’s comments personally:

“Seth is super talented, I had his first dark match in WWE, he’s a unique soul, he works his ass off when a lot of people in that company just collected checks, I don’t take it personally, that’s just a part of wrestling”.

It’s worth mentioning here that Cody himself is known to not shy away from expressing his opinion on WWE. He probably took the biggest shot of the war between the two companies when he destroyed a throne during his entrance at Double or Nothing.

Cody Rhodes On His Father’s Relationship With WWE

Cody’s father Dusty Rhodes had a lengthy career with WWE as well but there have always been stories of the McMahons not liking the Rhodes family and during the interview, Cody was asked how he would define Vince McMahon’s feeling about his father.

In response to the question, the current AEW Star recalled how WWE helped his father with the Dusty Rhodes DVD they released and it brought the Hall Of Famer a feeling of financial security in the later stage of his life when he needed it.

He went on to explain that while his own experience with the company is vastly different than his father, because of this and the opportunity they provided him with NXT, he will remain grateful to WWE:

“I always say I owe them a great debt and maybe I paid it personally the way things ended but I’ll never forget that both Hunter and Vince and Stephanie McMahon were very good to my father when he needed that and as his son, that’s something if they every ask me to repay that debt I will go and repay it. Because it was important”

Cody Rhodes is currently set to challenge Chris Jericho for the AEW World title at the Full Gear PPV on November 9th. While on the other hand, there is no word yet on what WWE is planning for Seth Rollins after he lost the Universal title to the Fiend at Crown Jewel.

Cody Rhodes To Make ‘Career Announcement’ On AEW Dynamite This Week

It appears that AEW is planning to bounce back after suffering a big decline in viewership for Dynamite last week with the announcement of 2 interesting angles for this week’s episode of the show.

The first angle is a segment that will feature Cody Rhodes making some sort of career announcement ahead of his upcoming Full Gear match with Chris Jericho.

The announcement for the segment was made by Rhodes himself who took on his Twitter and said that he hopes his announcement will resonate well with the fans because it means a great deal to him:

The second thing announced for the upcoming episode of Dynamite is a tag team match featuring the Inaugural AEW World Champion Chris Jericho.

Jericho will be teaming up with fellow Inner Circle member Sammy Guevara to face the team of Hangman Page and ‘The Cleaner’ Kenny Omega on the show.

The upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite will serve as the go-home episode for the Full Gear PPV on November 9th.

Since the company has only announced 4 matches for the upcoming event so far, it’s likely that they will announce a few more matches for the event on this week’s episode of the show. You can check out the updated match card for AEW Full Gear here.

SmackDown Viewership Rebounds After Fox Return

This week’s episode of SmackDown Live was highly praised by the fans and its viewership also rebounded after seeing a shocking decline for last week’s episode of the show on F1S.

This week’s episode of the Blue Branded Show which featured surprise appearances from NXT Stars and an intense main event between Adam Cole and Daniel Bryan drew a total of 2.543 million viewers, according to Showbuzz Daily.

This is a big jump from last week’s episode of the show which was broadcasted on F1S due to the MLB World Series coverage on FOX and had drawn only 888,000 viewers.

It’s worth mentioning here that this is also a 5.17% increase from the last SmackDown episode on Fox 2 weeks ago which featured Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan teaming up in the main event and had drawn 2.418 million viewers.

For this week, the first hour of the show featuring Brock Lesnar and other surprise appearences brought in 2.605 million viewers while the second hour featuring the main event saw a drop with 2.481 million viewers.

In comparison, last Monday’s episode of Raw drew in only 2.133 million viewers which was a big decline for the show coming from the previous week’s 2.341 million viewers.

Rikishi On If They Knew About Roman Reigns’ Leukemia Announcement Beforehand

Roman Reigns announcing his leukemia diagnosis and relinquishing the Universal Championship in October 2018 was one of the most surprising events of last year.

During a recent interview with WrestlingInc, Rikishi who is the cousin of the Big Dog talked about a number of things such as the Rock becoming a movie star and more.

Talking about The Big Dog’s announcement last year, Rikishi who is also a part of The Anoa’i Family revealed that they knew about it beforehand and he claimed that he is proud of the domino effect it created:

“We all knew about it. But it was his timing and as a family we supported his thoughts and when it was right for him to come out with it, I can’t tell you how proud I am of him of being able to speak up because it’s a domino effect in helping other kids diagnosed with leukemia.”

The Hall Of Famer went on to say that Reigns using his meet and greets and charities to bring awareness to the disease is a beautiful thing and it’s bigger than wrestling.

Apart from this, Rikishi discussed Roman Reigns possibly leaving WWE for Hollywood, his wrestling school and what is the first thing he asks the new trainees at his academy.

He also talked about working with Vince McMahon and revealed what Mr McMahon told him before taking the Stinkface maneuver. You can check out his comments on the matter here.

Finn Balor On Possibly Bringing Back The Light-Up Jacket

Finn Balor declared that the Prince is back when he appeared on WWE Backstage after his heel turn and since then people have been wondering if he will also bring back his old entrance where he used to wear a light-up jacket.

During the recent episode of the State of Combat podcast, the former Universal Champion discussed his heel turn in detail and explained the reasoning behind it.

When asked about possibly bringing the light-up jacket back, Balor revealed that he asked NJPW officials to find it but they couldn’t and claimed that he is going to create something new and different instead of going back:

“I don’t want to create one. I do not care about the light-up jacket. I am going to create something different and something new, which is what I had done for the past 19 years. I am not going to go back. I am going to go forward.”

The former NXT Champion also talked about how people compare his jacket look to the one of Chris Jericho and gave his thoughts on the debate on who came up with the light-up look first.

Finn revealed that his own look was inspired by the movie Tron and he went on to claim that he had never seen Chris’ jacket before coming up with it for himself.

Sami Callihan On RVD Mentioning WWE And AEW Stars In Recent Promo

Impact Wrestling star RVD made some headlines recently when he cut a promo during Impact Wrestling’s AXS TV debut saying that there would be no Daniel Bryan, Kenny Omega or Young Bucks if it wasn’t for him.

During a recent interview with WrestlingInc, the current Impact World Champion Sami Callihan talked about a number of things and he also gave his thoughts on RVD’s promo.

Callihan claimed that while people perceive the former WWE Star to be a quiet dude that smokes himself out all day long, the RVD we saw in the promo is the real RVD:

“That’s the real RVD. People think RVD is a quiet dude that smokes himself out all day long. But RVD has accomplished everything he’s wanted to accomplish in this business. He’s probably bored with life but now he’s living his best life because he pretty much told everyone to kiss his ass,”

The Impact Champion was then asked if the company will lean towards calling out their opponents more in the future and he said that Impact isn’t afraid to do that.

He went on to explain that his promotion is not afraid to give you a more adult-oriented story, and people who want violence and sexual storylines will be able to get it with Impact Wrestling.

Apart from this, Sami Callihan also talked about AEW, how Impact has proven to be the true alternative to other wrestling programming and more. You can check out his full interview at this link.

Eric Bischoff Reveals What He Told Vince McMahon About AEW Dynamite

Eric Bischoff discussed a number of things on the latest episode of his After 83 weeks podcast and the now-former SmackDown Executive Director also revealed an interesting conversation he had with Vince McMahon while he was still in the company.

According to Eric, the Boss talked to him after the premiere episode of AEW Dynamite. He asked Bischoff about his thoughts on the show and the former WCW President gave him an honest answer:

“Vince asked me actually, a couple of days after the first episode aired, what I thought. I was pretty honest with him. I thought the action was good but I thought what made that show really stand out to me was just how engaged the audience is,”

Eric Bischoff went on to compare the show to NXT saying that while the in-ring action of WWE’s third brand was great, putting a show inside a confined studio does not create the same big event feel and to him, the audience made Dynamite much better than NXT.

While the Full Sail University is expected to continue being the home for NXT broadcast until the end of this year, it appears that WWE Officials also understand the need of refreshment to the product.

Latest report on the matter suggests that the promotion is considering using other venues for the show time to time in future.

You can listen to the latest episode of After 83 Weeks below:

Do you think having a different and larger audience for the show gives Dynamite an edge over NXT? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.

Natalya Reflects On Historical Crown Jewel Match

Natalya and Lacey Evans made history during the Crown Jewel PPV when they became the first female competitors to compete in a wrestling match in Saudi Arabia.

WWE’s YouTube staff caught up with the winner of this match Natalya backstage after the show was over and during the interview, the former Diva’s Champion reflected on her time out there.

The female star stayed emotional throughout the talk and discussing her match and the atmosphere of the arena, she said that it was magical and it made her go back to the time when she was a little girl with a big dream:

“It was just so surreal, so magical. It was like all this love that was just waiting to be released into the atmosphere. It was like such an incredible destiny. I felt like it was everything I have ever worked for coming full circle. I went back to when I was a little girl with big dreams.”

Natalya was also asked about getting emotional in the ring before her bout and she revealed that seeing little girls in the audience around her made her emotional.

Apart from this, she discussed the significance of the event and revealed what Stephanie McMahon told her prior to her match. You can check out Natalya’s full interview in the video below:

Bray Wyatt To Join Miz TV On SmackDown After Universal Title Win

WWE has announced a number of matches and segments for this week’s episode of SmackDown which are expected to take the storylines forward and provide us answers to the questions that have risen after the Crown Jewel PPV.

The first match which has been announced will see The New Day getting a title shot. The trio will face the current SmackDown Tag Team Champions the Revival for their belts after they defeated the champs in eight-man tag team action last week.

The second match will be singles action with former World Champion Roman Reigns and ‘The King’ Baron Corbin squaring off against each other in the aftermath of the Team Hogan vs. Team Flair bout from Crown Jewel.

The third bout will then see Nikki Cross teaming up with Carmella & Dana Brooke to compete against the team of the SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley and her partners Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville

Though probably the most interesting thing announced for the night is a Miz TV segment which will feature the new Universal Champion Bray Wyatt as the special guest and it will be The Fiend’s first appearance after the title win.

Wyatt won the Universal Championship from Seth Rollins during Crown Jewel but he is still part of the SmackDown roster and we’ll have to see if the company addresses this situation during the announced segment.

Bray Wyatt Comments On Universal Title Win At Crown Jewel

After the highly criticized Hell In A Cell main event, ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt finally defeated Seth Rollins and won the Universal Championship at the Crown Jewel PPV.

After the show was over, the new Universal Champion commented on his win via twitter where he posted a photo of himself with the title, along with a message saying that the zombie man now rules the Universe:

Bray Wyatt had first faced Seth Rollins for his championship in the main event of the Hell In A Cell PPV earlier last month but their match ended in a referee stoppage.

After the fans criticized the finish of the bout, the company announced a Falls Count Anywhere rematch between the two for the Crown Jewel PPV with the stipulation that their fight cannot be stopped for any reason.

The match took place in the main event of the show in Saudi Arabia where the Architect tried everything he could to defeat the Fiend, but the Monster kept coming back.

The finish of the bout saw Rollins throwing Bray into a pile of production cases but Wyatt recovered from that as well and he then delivered a Sister Abigail to win the match.

It’s worth mentioning here that despite his Universal title win, Bray Wyatt is still a part of the SmackDown roster and the company is likely to address this situation during the announced Miz TV segment for this week’s episode of the Blue Branded Show.

NXT To Compete Against Raw And SmackDown At Survivor Series This Year

Survivor Series has been a Raw vs. SmackDown themed show ever since the reintroduction of the brand extension but WWE has confirmed a major change to this dynamic for this year’s edition of the event.

The company announced during Crown Jewel that this year’s edition of the PPV will also feature stars from NXT, who will be competing against the other rosters of the company:

WWE reintroduced the brand extension on its programming back in July 2016 when SmackDown moved to Tuesday nights from Fridays and the show started airing live instead of being taped a day earlier.

Since then, Survivor Series has been branded as a PPV event where the rosters of the two premiere shows of WWE meet for one night and compete with each other.

The event usually features the champions from both the brands competing in various bouts and teams of male and female stars from both rosters going against each other in traditional Survivor Series elimination matches.

It’s unknown how the inclusion of NXT will affect this dynamic but we’ll keep you posted on the matter as WWE releases more details on the upcoming PPV.

Survivor Series 2019 will take place on November 24 from Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois
