Vince McMahon Gets Good News Amid Recent Allegations

Vince McMahon has gotten at least one good news amid all the controversy surrounding recent allegations made against him. A lawsuit he was facing has officially been settled.

The WWE chairman had been sued by former XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck. This lawsuit came shortly after the premature end of the XFL’s second incarnation.

Luck claimed that his $25 million contract guaranteed him full pay in case it was terminated without cause. He sued McMahon and Alpha Entertainment for $23.8 million remaining in his deal as well as other damages.

Vince McMahon Gets Good News

The lawsuit was set to go on trial on July 7. It was revealed a few weeks ago that both the parties have agreed to a settlement outside of court.

PWinsider is now reporting that a Judge has officially dismissed the lawsuit against Vince McMahon. They noted that the two parties have come to a confidential settlement. Neither to them will have to pay the legal fees of the other.

This is a good news for Mr. McMahon, who has faced multiple waves of accusations in the last few weeks. The latest of the allegations claimed that the boss has paid over $12 million in hush money to former employees.

Though despite receiving a lot of heat from the fans over the allegations, Vince McMahon is said to be under ‘no real pressure’ to leave WWE.

Andrade Provides Update On His Injury After Recent Revelation

Andrade has provided an update on his health. This comes after AEW President Tony Khan revealed that he is dealing with an injury.

Khan originally revealed the news while responding to a fan. The fan had commented on the absence of the former NXT champion from AEW programming.

Replying to him, the AEW owner noted that Andrade is actually out with an injury. He revealed that the Mexican star suffered the injury while competing with Rey Fenix three weeks ago. Though TK did not provide any further details on his condition.

Andrade Provides An Update

Andrade himself later took on his Twitter to address the concerned fans. He noted that his injury is nothing serious and he is expected to be cleared in a week or two:

The former US champion was part of the WWE roster from 2015 to 2021. He won multiple titles in the company before asking for his release in March 2021.

Andrade made his debut for AEW in June the same year. While he has been featured regularly on AEW programming ever since, many believe that he hasn’t been used properly by the company.

Eric Bischoff Has Wild Opinion About AEW TV’s Ratings

Many believe that WWE’s decision to move Raw back to a TV-14 rating is a result of the rise of AEW. Though Eric Bischoff doesn’t believe it to be the case.

The former WCW president talked about this potential change on the latest episode of his Strictly Business podcast. His co-host theorized that this change is related to the popularity of AEW.

However, Bischoff opposed this sentiment, mentioning that WWE is not losing market share to their competitor. He also shared his wild opinion on AEW’s TV ratings:

“It’s not like WWE is losing audience to AEW. AEW is flatter than piss on a plate in terms of television ratings.” said Eric Bischoff, “It is what it is and WWE is not losing market share to AEW, so why would they react to something that’s not affecting them?”

The former wrestling executive also said that anyone that believes AEW to be a legitimate threat to WWE is “delusional, and has taken ‘fanboyism’ to a terminal level.”

AEW has seen growth in the year-over-year audience every year since its inception. Their flagship program Dynamite has averaged around 950,000 viewers this year compared to the average of 891,000 viewers per episode in 2021.

Though with both Raw and SmackDown regularly pulling over 1.5 million viewers, there is no doubt that Tony Khan’s promotion still has a lot of catching up to do.

Liv Morgan On Negative Reactions To Her Title Win

Liv Morgan has had to go through many ups and downs before finally winning her first championship in pro wrestling. Though the one thing that has been constant throughout her journey is the fan support. Morgan failed many times after coming close to the achievement. However, her fan base only grew with every failed attempt and it finally got her to where she is now.

The SmackDown women’s champion recently appeared on Corey Graves’ After The Bell podcast. Speaking about the unwavering fan support, Liv mentioned how she owes them everything:

“I feel like I owe almost it all to my fans. I feel like I’ve said this a couple times, so many times I felt like throughout my journey in WWE. I know the fans believed in me. I felt their belief for me. But so many times I felt like I was giving them absolutely nothing to believe in, and here they are just still rooting for me and wanting me to succeed.

I wanted more than anything to actually give them something to believe in. To feel proud. All your years of standing by me, I’m gonna repay it to you in this moment. That’s kind of what Money In The Bank and cashing in was for me. This championship is as much for them as this was for me.

‘Everyone Has Their Opinion’: Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan at Money In The Bank

Though despite being one of the most popular superstars on the current roster, Liv Morgan is not protected from criticism. From being called ‘too girly’ to being labeled as someone who is ‘playing a pro wrestler’, the former NXT star has to endure a lot even after proving haters wrong every day. When asked how she deals with all the negativity, Liv explained why it has never bothered her:

“You could have the most perfect painting, the most perfect drawing, the most perfect meal, [be the] most perfect human in the world and someone’s not gonna like it. You know? I enjoy the good just as much as I enjoy the bad. It’s just something that luckily has never bothered me. I don’t know. Everyone has their opinion and everyone’s entitled to their own opinion.

It’s kind of like [I] feel what you think about me is none of my business. If you love me, if you hate me, I can only do what I feel is right. That’s something that I’ve kind of done my whole career. I’ve just tried to stay as true to me as I possibly could.”

Former AEW Star Discusses Silence From Tony Khan Before His Release

Tony Khan has made a point of not releasing stars mid-contract until it’s absolutely necessary. Though the AEW owner has also received some criticism for ceasing communication with talents they have decided to let go.

Marko Stunt is one such AEW original whose run with the company ended recently. He made his debut at the promotion’s Inaugural Double Or Nothing event. He left AEW after the officials decided not to renew his contract earlier this year.

The former AEW talent opened up about his departure from the promotion during an interview with NBC Sports Boston. Stunt mentioned how he didn’t have any communication with Khan towards the end of his run:

“I never really had any communication at the end. So I didn’t know if I was getting let go or renewed or anything. I sent out an email and didn’t get a response. I texted him and didn’t get a response.

But about a month before it happened, I did get a call,” said Marko Stunt, “And I got told, not by him, but I did get the phone call that I wasn’t gonna be renewed.”

The former AEW star revealed that he texted Tony Khan after receiving the news. He thanked the AEW owner for the opportunities he was given.

The AEW president did respond to this text from Marko Stunt. Khan thanked him in return and said sorry for not being able to find a spot for him moving forward.

Hall Of Famer Has Signed New Contract With WWE

Hall of Famer Mick Foley has signed a brand-new legends deal with WWE that will give the company rights to his merchandise and more.

Pro Wrestling Tees recently shared a video of the wrestling veteran. In the video as seen below, the former world champion explained that his merchandise won’t be available on the PWT store after July 31:

“I just want to explain why my merchandise will not be available through Pro Wrestling Tees after July 31. There is no heat or friction.

I still have a great relationship with Pro Wrestling Tees.” said Mick Foley, “It just comes down to signing a new legends agreement with WWE that does give them the exclusive on T shirts.”

Foley claimed that he is grateful for the relationship he has with PWT. He also told the fans to buy as many T-Shirts as they like through July 31.

The Attitude Era star has been joking about wanting a new contract ever since the reports of Bret Hart’s legends deal came out. The length of his deal is not known.

Mick Foley has made appearances for indie promotions throughout 2022. It’s unknown whether this new contract also blocks him from appearing for other companies.

Hall Of Famer Rips WWE Raw Segment

WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg has blasted a segment featuring The Judgement Day and The Mysterios from this week’s episode of Raw.

Last week’s episode of the Red Branded Show saw Rey and Dominik Mysterio picking up a disqualification victory over the team of Finn Balor and Damian Priest. Priest and Balor then attacked the father son duo in a backstage segment.

A match between Rey and Finn was announced in advance for this week’s episode. The two teams came face to face before the bout and had a promo battle. Damian Priest first claimed that Rey had nothing more to offer to his son.

Finn Balor then told the wrestling veteran that he was a bad father. The former world champion lost his cool hearing this and punched Balor. This prompted the match that was won by Balor with a Coup De Grace.

Road Dogg Reacts

Road Dogg commented on this segment after Raw went off air. He mentioned how Rey let the Judgement Day cut a promo after they attacked him last week. Per the former SmackDown head writer, this didn’t make Mysterio look good:

“So….. they attack me last week and now they cut a promo right in front of me. Idk my babyface doesn’t look good. #JUSTME #OUDK #WWERaw”

Chris Jericho Details ‘Terrible’ Experience Working With Attitude Era Star

Chris Jericho’s first real angle in WWE was with Chyna. WWE was pushing her as someone who can compete with male talents and put the IC belt on her. Jericho feuded with her over the championship and put her over. Though according to Y2J, his own experience of working with the Attitude Era star was terrible.

The AEW star recently appeared on True Geordie podcast. He talked about things such as fans calling out stars for botches and more. When asked about his feud with the late star, Jericho claimed that she was terrible in the ring:

“Terrible. She was terrible to work with. She wasn’t good, but she thought she was. She also was in a position where they were pushing her really big that she could beat up guys. She couldn’t. I never got that credit [for carrying her]. No one ever once said, ‘You’re making her look good. It was the other side of the coin.”

‘I Got In So Much Trouble’: Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho then told the story of how he got into trouble for injuring Chyna during one of their encounters. According to him, it was a tough position for him to be in since it was his first real angle in WWE:

“I got in big trouble from working with her. Because at one point I remember when I first started working with her, Vince was like, ‘Don’t treat her like a woman, treat her like a wrestler.’ She was really stiff too which means she worked very strong. Listen, I am not talking bad of her, I’m just telling the truth. So when we worked together, it was a solid fight in a lot of ways.

I remember one time she got a little bit of a black eye from me, and you would have thought I cut her arm off with a chainsaw. I got in so much trouble. I was like, ‘Fuck I didn’t do it on purpose.’ So it was a tough position for me to be in. It was my first real angle in the WWE. My first story. But once again, I did the best that I could. I think her best matches that she ever had were with me. [It] hopefully proved something to the people that I had to prove things to, but there was a lot of issues with working with her.”

Chris Jericho Slams Disrespectful Fans Who Call Out Botches

Wrestling fans are some of the most passionate fans in the sports world. However, this passion also leads to some tense situations when people forget the line between the character and the person. What Chris Jericho hates the most is when fans attack superstars online over a misstep in a match.

The former AEW world champion recently had an interview with True Geordie podcast. Speaking about the fans, Jericho discussed how he hates the word ‘botch’:

“Things happen in a match. The fucking word I hate the most that fans use is botch. ‘Oh, you botched that one.’ Shut your fucking mouth. There is no such thing as a botch. This is a live show. Mistakes happen. Why? Because we are human beings and we’re live.”

‘It’s Fucking Disrespectful’: Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho list
WWE.com

Chris Jericho explained that mistakes happen in other forms of live art as well. Though the fans do not go after the performers in such cases:

“If it happens in a hockey game, the fans don’t start chanting in unison ‘You fucked up, you fucked up’. If you go to a Broadway play and someone fumbles their lines, people don’t start chanting ‘You fucked up, you fucked up.’ You go to a wrestling match and miss a hip toss. People start chanting. That’s bullshit. It’s fucking disrespectful. And wrestling fans walk the line of being disrespectful. WWE Hall of Fame and people are fucking booing the Bushwhackers for being in the Hall of Fame? Fuck you.

“So that to me is like yeah, I love wrestling fans.” said Jericho, “If there were no fans there will be no career of Chris Jericho, but you guys gotta keep it in check sometimes and show some respect.”

Natalya Responds To Claims Of Breaking Kayfabe At House Show, Deletes Tweet

Natalya has fuelled the speculations of being angry with the SmackDown women’s champion Liv Morgan and breaking kayfabe at a recent WWE House Show.

WWE held a Live Event from Sacramento, California on July 9. The show featured the first match of Roman Reigns since the June 17 SmackDown.

The event also saw the newly crowned SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan successfully defending her title against Natalya in a one-on-one match.

A video of the bout that surfaced after the show saw Natalya getting up moments after being pinned. She left the ring after saying something to Morgan.

https://twitter.com/WrestlingNewsCo/status/1546362507647918080

Natalya’s Response

The video made it look like the wrestling veteran wasn’t happy with Liv and the anger led her to break kayfabe after the bout.

Natalya responded to these rumors on Twitter claiming that she was actually thanking the SmackDown women’s champion. Though she has interestingly deleted the tweet since then which you can see in the screenshot below:

natalya tweet 2

There is no word yet on if anything happened during the bout that could have angered the former Hart Dynasty member. The deletion of the tweet has led to further speculations on the whole incident.

Liv Morgan has not yet responded to the claims in any way. We will keep you posted on any further development in the story.

Chris Jericho Reveals Shocking Details Regarding Backstage Confrontation With Brock Lesnar

Chris Jericho has revealed some shocking details on his shoot confrontation with Brock Lesnar.

Brock Lesnar had a gruesome match with Randy Orton at SummerSlam 2016. The Beast won this match via TKO after busting The Viper open with his elbows. This match blurred the lines between reality and kayfabe. Many were worried about the health of Orton coming out of the bout.

Jericho recently made an appearance on True Geordie Podcast. Talking about the bout, Y2J who was in the arena, mentioned how Lesnar could have killed Randy:

“He was doing a match with Randy Orton. He was basically like just butchering him with elbows to the head. I didn’t know if it was planned or not, and nobody would tell me. But elbows, to the side of the head can kill you. If you get hit hard enough in the temple, you die. I was in gorilla and I was fucking angry about it.”

Things That Will Get You Canceled

Chris Jericho then detailed his confrontation with The Beast Incarnate backstage after the bout. He claimed that Lesnar actually said some homophobic terms that would get him canceled:

“He was actually saying things that would probably get him canceled, like homophobic terms that you shouldn’t be saying.”

– Chris Jericho

“Brock came through and he saw me angry about it and decided he wanted to come challenge me. We had gotten into a little bit of an issue. I was like, ‘fuck this guy. I don’t give a shit how big he is. I don’t fucking care, It’s fucking wrong. I will fight to the death. I will stand up for what I believe in to the death.’ I remember being literally nose to nose with the guy. He’s laughing. He was actually saying things that would probably get him canceled, like homophobic terms that you shouldn’t be saying.”

Jericho later noted how he was ready to bite Lesnar’s nose off even if Brock killed him. Thankfully, Vince McMahon interfered. The boss broke up the fight before it could lead to serious consequences.

WWE And AEW Stars Attend NASCAR Event (Photos)

A number of wrestling personalities were in attendance for the beginning of the second half of the NASCAR Cup Series season with Quaker State 400.

The Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair shared some photos from the show. The pictures also featured Montez Ford and WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella.

From AEW’s side, the TBS Champion Jade Cargill made an appearance. The company shared photos of her at Atlanta Motor Speedway, noting that she was the guest of honor for the race:

This is not the first-time wrestling personalities have made appearances during the NASCAR Cup Series event. Suspended star Sasha Banks was named the grand marshal for Daytona 500 last year.

The Street Profits have been feuding with The Usos in recent times. They had an impressive match at Money In The Bank and a rematch for the unified tag titles has been announced for SummerSlam.

Bianca Belair similarly defended her title against Carmella at Money In The Bank. Nikki Bella on the other hand is enjoying her life as a mother and retired WWE star with no immediate plans for a return.

Jade Cargill is on the run of a lifetime since winning the TBS championship in January. She has been a dominant champion and impressed everyone with her title reign despite very little experience in the ring.

(Exclusive) Killer Kelly Details ‘Exhausting’ WWE Experience

Impact Wrestling star Killer Kelly had a short (and strange) experience working for WWE. She was offered a contract during her rookie year in the wrestling industry. She made her debut at the inaugural NXT UK event. Kelly also took part in the 2018 Mae Young Classic where she lost in the first round.

Unfortunately, WWE did not use her much beyond that. The young star was occasionally used to put some other talents over before being released from her contract in January 2020.

Killer Kelly spoke with SEScoops this past week to discuss her absence from Impact for the past 2 years, her new persona and more. She also opened up about her time in the Vince McMahon owned promotion.

Watch Killer Kelly’s interview with Steve Fall for SEScoops below, followed by highlights from the conversation.

Why Killer Kelly said yes to a WWE contract with very little experience:

“So I had a good and somewhat bad experience [in WWE]. As soon as I got offered that contract. I said ‘Yes, like 100% Yes, because WWE is the dream.’ It was what I grew up watching. I was like ‘Ok, this is the thing that I want to do.’ But at the same time, I was just coming up as a professional wrestler. Basically, within the year that I decided to take a chance on myself and move to Germany to train to become professional wrestler, do this professionally. I got offered the contract. It was like everything at the same time. I had no time to read, to think, to do anything. So I felt like that came too soon to me. Because WWE was the dream. I didn’t even think about anything. I just said yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. I never stood up for myself. I was afraid to give ideas. I was afraid of doing basically anything. I was walking on eggshells all the time because I was afraid of messing that up.”

Her exhausting WWE experience due to mental health issues:

“The whole experience being like that, and now knowing of my mental issues that I have. Anxiety, depression, ADHD, all of that exhausted me mentally, to the point that I wasn’t enjoying my time in WWE. I didn’t enjoy it at all. Because I was so stressed. I was so anxious all the time. I had everything. I could have had a blast there. But I didn’t because of my brain. So that kind of sucks. It sucks that I wasn’t on medication early. It sucks that I didn’t know about that. So that whole experience was very exhausting for me. But other than that, I have nothing bad to say about WWE. It was just my brain. It was my brain. I didn’t have the spotlight on me but I enjoyed my position. They basically gave me matches to make the other people shine. So that means that they have the stress on me that I can help them shine, help them achieve whatever they need to. That was kind of an honor.”

If Killer Kelly had any problems with her WWE spot:

“I was happy with my place there. But then brain didn’t let me enjoy anything. I didn’t have the, I don’t want to say the guts, the mental capacity of saying what I wanted to do. [To share] any ideas. [To] actually have fun with it, which is what I’m currently doing with impact. My brain, it’s not 100% good, but it’s good. I am still anxious all the time. I’m still nervous, but that’s because I love wrestling. Now I feel like I could show my full potential and enjoy. Really, really enjoy what I’m doing and just be myself. I’m so excited about it.”

(Exclusive) Killer Kelly Reveals Why She’s Been Missing From Impact For 2 Years

The wrestling career of Killer Kelly has been a roller coaster ride. She was offered a WWE contract not long after she decided to pursue a career in wrestling in her mid-20s. She competed in NXT UK. She also took part in the 2018 Mae Young Classic before getting released in 2020.

Kelly then made her debut for Impact Wrestling. It looked like she was finally ready to make her mark but she then disappeared from Impact for two years. The former wXw Women’s Championship recently spoke to SEScoops about her contractual status and more.

Watch Killer Kelly’s interview with Steve Fall for SEScoops:

Under Contract with Impact for Past 2 Years

Kelly revealed that she was offered an Impact contract on the day she made her debut on November 24, 2020. Furthermore, she revealed that she has been contracted for the past two years:

“Well, it was exactly on that day. On that same day that I wrestled, I got offered a deal. So I’ve been contracted for the past two years.”

When Fall inquired about the reason for her absence from Impact programming, Killer Kelly revealed that it was due to Visa issues. She had to go back to her home country of Portugal shortly after her Impact debut. Unfortunately for Kelly, this is when the Coronavirus struck and she got stuck there:

“Well, you have to ask the good ol’ United States of America (why she hasn’t been wrestling). Its legalities, legalities, legalities…It was a very tedious process, which impact dealt with wonderfully. They took care of everything, but it was a horrible process. They were wonderful about it. After they offered the contract, I had to go back to Portugal. Then I was stuck in Portugal.

They did everything in their power to get me out of Portugal. It was a visa process that started in Portugal, and then it didn’t pan out. Then I had to come to the United States and start all over again. It was a whole process. But finally, I can say that I’m part of Impact. I can finally work and I am excited.”

Killer Kelly’s Struggle With Mental Health Issues

killer kelly 2

Being stuck at home and not being able to compete was a horrible experience for Killer Kelly. It was during this time she found out that she had ADHD, in addition to being diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression:

“It was terrible. It was horrible. Well, at least I sought some help. I finally found out that I had severe depression, severe anxiety. Most recently, I found out that I have ADHD. So that really helped me to finally seek out mental health help. But the whole waiting, the whole being locked. It was a very horrible experience.

It really put me down. I was in lower than rock bottom. It was just awful. Without my husband, without his help and without impact, I don’t know what I would do. Impact was beyond professional, beyond professional… They were amazing, dealing with everything.”

The good news is that Killer Kelly is now back in the United States and she is ready to compete in Impact again. The July 7 episode of the show featured a vignette teasing her return with a new persona.

Shawn Michaels Explains How Bret Hart Rivalry Turned Into Shoot

Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels is one of the most infamous rivalries of the wrestling world. What started as a kayfabe feud between two of WWE’s top stars, quickly turned into a shoot. It ultimately led to the Montreal Screwjob, which is still talked about to this day.

Michaels recently had an interview with 98.7 ESPN where he opened up about his feud with The Hitman. HBK first claimed that it was not fun for him before admitting that he was very immature at the time:

“Oh, well, I will say this. Going through it was absolutely no fun. Because even in the world of sports entertainment, there’s real life rivalries. Certainly Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels was real both on and off the screen. I was very young and very stupid, very immature. [I] was as cocky as the day is long and that did not get over well. Let’s just put it that way.”

‘Working Ourselves Into A Shoot’: Shawn Michaels

micheals hart

Shawn Michaels then explained how this on-screen feud led to real-life tensions between him and his greatest rival. The former world champion claimed that they were friendly at first. When they started feuding, they decided to make it feel real. However, before they knew it, Michaels and Hart had worked themselves into a shoot:

“So honestly, we started out I would say friendly. We never hung out. But when we were in tag teams, we worked really well with each other, admired one another. Bret and I both felt that one day that we would be able to go singles. I can remember Bret went singles, and I went singles shortly after that. I can remember him telling me one time. He’s like, ‘look, I see you being the guy that I could eventually drop this title to.’

I just think it came sooner than maybe he expected and certainly sooner than I expected. That’s honestly when it happened. It first started out as just sincerely us talking about just trying to make it feel real. It just slowly got to be that way to where I don’t know, I guess both of us were taking jabs that were real but we then started to really be offended by it. It’s a hard thing to describe, we call it working ourselves into a shoot.”

Theory Reveals Who He Will Be Facing At SummerSlam

Mr. Money In The Bank Theory has revealed who he will be facing at the SummerSlam event. Though his opponent is not who fans were expecting it to be.

After John Cena’s return was announced for the June 27 episode of Raw, it was reported that WWE was planning a match between him and the then US champion for the upcoming PPV event.

WWE even teased this bout in a backstage segment when the Cenation Leader returned to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his main roster debut last month.

The Money In The Bank event saw Theory dropping the US title to Bobby Lashley. He went on to win the Men’s Money In The Bank ladder match later in the night.

No John Cena For SummerSlam?

The young star then made an appearance on the July 4th Raw and cut a promo. He revealed that he will be getting a rematch against The All Mighty for the Championship at SummerSlam.

John Cena had claimed during his return promo that he didn’t know when he will be wrestling next. This announcement has now put a question mark over his status for SummerSlam on July 30.

Theory on the other hand has gotten a replacement in form of Lashley. We will have to see if he is able to defeat the heavyweight star this time around.

Ric Flair Reacts To Being Added Back To WWE Intro

The 16-time world champion Ric Flair has been added back to the WWE intro and he has thanked the company for giving him his dignity back.

The Nature Boy’s signature ‘Woooo’ was removed from the official intro to WWE shows back in September last year.

This came after sexual misconduct allegations against the former world champion were brought in light by a Dark Side of The Ring episode titled the Plane Ride From Hell.

Flair himself had denied the allegations but he still received significant backlash from the fans. WWE had responded to it by removing him from the intro and pulling all his merchandise from their official website.

Ric Flair Thanks Vince McMahon

The company quietly added the wrestling veteran back to the intro on the July 4th Raw. Ric Flair commented on it on Twitter. He claimed that losing the spot was the most hurtful moment of his career:

“The Most Hurtful Moment In My ENTIRE Career Was Losing My Spot. Thank You So Much For Giving Me Back My Dignity & My Life! @WWE @VinceMcMahon #WWERaw”

Flair is currently preparing for a final match during the SummerSlam weekend. While an opponent for him is yet to be announced, the show is garnering the attention of fans and it was recently moved to a much larger arena.

WWE Veteran ‘Would Love’ To Join AEW In Backstage Role

AEW has hired many former WWE employees into key backstage positions. WWE veteran Road Dogg says he would also ‘love’ the opportunity to join the promotion for a behind-the-scenes role.

The former SmackDown head writer recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet. He discussed things such as making amends with Jim Ross and The Undertaker and more.

When asked about potentially joining AEW like his longtime partner Billy Gunn, Road Dogg claimed that he would love to work with the promo guys there:

“I wanted to keep my relationship with (WWE) really good even if I went somewhere else to work.” said Road Dogg, “Which, I’d love to do that. I’d love to work with promo guys backstage at AEW

Because it’s just new talent — Well, half of them are NXT talent I’ve worked with in the past, but I would love to do something challenging, you know what I mean?”

The former WWE star also talked about the notion of an ongoing wrestling war between WWE and AEW. He explained why he doesn’t believe it to be the case.

The Attitude Era star mentioned how the two companies aren’t actually going head-to-head against each other. He feels that the offices are more in competition with each other than the locker rooms.

WWE Star Fires Back At Critics Over Money In The Bank Botch

Shotzi Blackhart has fired back at the critics for calling her out for her performance at the Money In The Bank PPV this past Saturday.

The female star competed in the women’s Money In The Bank ladder match alongside people such as Becky Lynch and Asuka during the PPV event. As is the case with such matches, there were some spots that didn’t go as planned.

One such spot saw Shotzi picking up Alexa Bliss while she was trying to climb the ladder. She was supposed to deliver a slam to Bliss but the WWE star lost her balance.

This led to her accidentally slamming Alexa into a falling ladder in a scary-looking bump. Fans did not react to this kindly. Many called the SmackDown star out on Twitter.

Shotzi Fires Back

Shotzi has since fired back at her critics. She posted a lengthy statement on Twitter noting that she cried over the reactions after the match:

“Comments like “you should be fired” and other terrible things admittedly hit hard. I had to have a few friends wipe the tears off my face and slap some sense into me and remind me WHO THE F I AM! That being said, all my haters can SUCK MY BIG GIANT HAIR MANGOS!”

Former World Champion Debuts New Ring Gear On Raw

Finn Balor has not only switched up his character after joining the Judgement Day but he has changed up his long-used ring gear as well.

A match between The Mysterios and The Judgement Day faction had been announced in advance for this Monday’s episode of Raw.

The father-son duo picked up a disqualification victory in this match. This came after Rey paid homage to the late great Eddie Guerrero and used a chair to make the referee believe that he had been attacked.

However, what got fans talking was the new ring gear of Finn Balor worn during the bout. The former Universal champion ditched the trunks for leather pants:

There was also a purple bandana hanging out of the Raw star’s back pocket, though its significance is not known. This is the first time Balor has worn pants in 14 years.

Later in the show, the team of Balor and Damian Priest attacked Rey and his son Dominik as they were walking in the backstage area. This segment suggests that the rivalry between the two teams is far from over.

WWE has also been teasing the return of Edge after he was kicked out of Judgement Day last month. We will have to see what the company is planning for his comeback.

Alexa Bliss ‘Didn’t Care’ About The Negative Reaction To Her Dark Persona

When Alexa Bliss took on the persona of The Fiend and became the Dark Alexa, the online wrestling community did not react to it lightly. Fans slammed this idea from the company hard and many criticized WWE for putting Bliss into such a storyline. However, according to the former Women’s Champion herself, she didn’t pay much attention to it because she was having too much fun.

The WWE star recently appeared on Ryan Satin’s Out Of Character podcast. Speaking about the negative reaction to her Playground character, the female star explained why she didn’t pay much attention to it:

‘I Don’t Care’: Alexa Bliss

“So with anything with the Playground Alexa, Lily stuff. There are so many negative comments. From the day I started, till even now. People just hate on it so much. But when I was in that persona, I didn’t care. Because I was having so much fun.” said Alexa Bliss, “People were investing because they were buying the Lily dolls, girl were dressing up as Dark Alexa, [both] guys and girls. That’s what I pay attention to.

She continued: “I don’t pay attention a lot to the negative comments on wrestling Twitter because I feel like you go to Twitter sometimes when you’re looking to read negative stuff. because I feel like 90% of it’s negative. So most of the time I’ll like take some of it into consideration but with that persona, With the Dark Alexa? No. Because I was having so much fun. I knew where I was going with it, my vision, I was having fun and being entertained by it. The fact that I would resonate with children so much is what made me not really pay attention to the negativity online.”

Original Forbidden Door Plans For The Young Bucks

The Young Bucks were originally set to win a big match at the Forbidden Door PPV and become champions at the big crossover event.

Dave Meltzer talked about the Forbidden Door PPV in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter. He revealed the original plans for the brothers at the show.

Per Meltzer, Gedo wanted to put the IWGP tag team championship on Bucks. The idea was to book a match between AEW and IWGP tag champions for the show.

The plan was changed to FTR competing from AEW’s side instead. They agreed that the duo holding the IWGP, ROH, and AAA titles at the same time was a cool story and the AEW EVPs were on board with this change.

Now that the FTR holds the IWGP tag team titles, there is a natural push for them to face The Young Bucks, with four different sets of belts potentially being on the line.

This is going to be a unique match in the history of wrestling. The promotions can build it as the biggest tag team championship match of all time.

FTR competed in a triple threat winner takes all match at Forbidden Door. They defeated United Empire and Roppongi Vice to become the new IWGP tag team champions.
