Saraya Dismisses Fan Speculation About Her AEW Absence

Saraya joined AEW in 2022, returning to wrestling after initially retiring due to spinal stenosis. Her arrival came with high expectations from fans, who were eager to see what she could bring to the promotion. Throughout her time in AEW, Saraya has faced off against top talent and been featured prominently. She captured the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In 2023, marking a major milestone in her AEW career.

Recently, however, Saraya’s role within AEW has seemed less central. Her last championship match took place on the August 21 episode of Dynamite, where she lost to Toni Storm in a match lasting under nine minutes. Saraya also came up short against Mariah May during the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 event in the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament quarterfinals.

Saraya was engaged in a storyline with Jamie Hayter that began when Hayter made her return at All In 2024. This feud culminated in a match on the September 25 episode of Collision: Grand Slam, where Hayter scored a decisive victory over Saraya. Most recently, Saraya competed in a Four-Way #1 Contendership Match on Dynamite: Title Tuesday on October 8, facing Hayter, Nyla Rose, and Willow Nightingale. Nightingale emerged as the winner, earning a title shot against Mariah May at WrestleDream.

Since then, Saraya has been noticeably absent from AEW programming. Fans speculated about her status on social media, prompting Saraya to respond on Twitter, clarifying that she is not currently dealing with an injury.

Bobby Lashley’s AEW In-Ring Debut And More Set For AEW Full Gear

AEW has announced two exciting new matchups for the upcoming AEW Full Gear 2024 pay-per-view event.

In a highly anticipated bout, Mercedes Moné will defend her AEW TBS Championship against Kris Statlander. The match was set following Statlander’s challenge on AEW Collision, which AEW CEO Tony Khan later confirmed on social media. This contest marks a chance for Statlander to reclaim the TBS title after her loss a year ago at Full Gear, where Julia Hart defeated her in a three-way match also featuring Skye Blue. Mercedes Moné, who won the title from Willow Nightingale at AEW Double or Nothing 2024, is expected to deliver an intense defense against the determined Statlander.

In another big showdown, Swerve Strickland will face Bobby Lashley after last week’s brutal attack by The Hurt Syndicate, which left Strickland seeking retribution. Strickland issued the challenge, and MVP accepted the match on behalf of his client Lashley, setting the stage for a fierce clash.

The AEW Full Gear 2024 pay-per-view is set for Saturday, November 23 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Here’s the updated match card:

  • AEW World Heavyweight Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Orange Cassidy
  • AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Kris Statlander
  • Jay White vs. Hangman Page
  • Swerve Strickland vs. Bobby Lashley
  • MJF vs. Adam Page or Roderick Strong
  • AEW Tag Team Championship: Private Party (c) vs. TBA (fatal 4-way match)
  • Zero Hour: Costco Guy AJ vs. QT Marshall

With a lineup filled with title matches and rivalries, AEW Full Gear 2024 promises to be a thrilling night for wrestling fans.

Several ECW Originals Appear On WWE NXT

This week’s episode of WWE NXT brought nostalgia and excitement to fans with appearances from several ECW Originals, including both scheduled and surprise guests.

Among the highlights, RVD helped Je’Von Evans secure a win, while NXT Champion Trick Williams teamed up with Bubba Ray Dudley in a tag team match against Ethan Page and Ridge Holland. In a hardcore match between Jaida Parker and Lola Vice, Dawn Marie took on the role of special guest referee, adding to the ECW flavor of the evening.

Another standout moment featured Robert Stone venting his frustrations to the fans, only to be interrupted by ECW legend Rhyno, who stormed out to deliver a crowd-pleasing Gore. The former ECW Champion’s appearance brought a huge pop from the diehard fans in attendance.

In a backstage segment, ECW veterans Tony Mamaluke and Nunzio expressed their displeasure over recent disrespect from The Family. Nunzio assured Rizzo he had set up a match for her against Nikkita Lyons for next week. For himself, Nunzio announced a special bout: he would challenge Tony D’Angelo for the NXT North American Title.

The episode’s ECW tributes and unexpected moments created an electrifying atmosphere, celebrating classic wrestling while setting up exciting storylines for the weeks to come.

D’Von Dudley also made an appearance to give Williams a pair of glasses after he and Bubba picked up a win and put Ethan Page through a table.

WWE NXT Deadline Date & Location Announced

WWE has officially announced the details for this year’s NXT Deadline premium live event, including the date, location, and the return of a fan-favorite match format. On this week’s episode of WWE NXT, General Manager Ava revealed that the Iron Survivor Challenge will return at NXT Deadline, which will take place on Saturday, December 7, at The Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Tickets are set to go on sale on November 13.

Last year’s Deadline event was held at Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and featured a main event where Ilja Dragunov defeated Baron Corbin to retain the NXT Championship. Dragon Lee, accompanied by Rey Mysterio, also claimed the NXT North American Championship by defeating “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio.

The Iron Survivor Challenge matches made its return at last year’s Deadline, bringing a unique 25-minute format where participants competed to determine the #1 contenders. In the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge, Blair Davenport triumphed over Tiffany Stratton, Lash Legend, Kelani Jordan, and Fallon Henley to secure a title opportunity at New Year’s Evil. In the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge, Trick Williams emerged victorious over Dijak, Josh Briggs, Bron Breakker, and Tyler Bate, paving his way to the NXT title picture.

Fans can look forward to the return of these intense, multi-participant challenges, which are set to bring even more excitement to this year’s NXT Deadline.

RVD Assists Je’Von Evans To Secure WWE NXT Win At ECW Arena

This week’s episode of WWE NXT saw a surprise appearance by wrestling legend Rob Van Dam (RVD) at the iconic ECW Arena in Philadelphia. However, things didn’t go as planned for Wes Lee.

Earlier in the night, RVD was featured in a backstage segment offering advice. But Lee caught RVD off guard, striking him in the back of the head with a chair and taking down the former ECW Champion. It was presumed that RVD had left the arena to seek medical attention after the attack.

Despite the incident, RVD made a triumphant return during Lee’s match against Evans, walking out to a roaring reaction from the Philadelphia crowd. Seizing the opportunity, RVD helped Evans avoid another attack from Lee, ultimately leading Evans to victory. In a nod to his classic move set, Evans secured the pinfall with RVD’s signature frog splash. After the match, RVD endorsed Evans by raising his hand in front of the enthusiastic crowd.

Following his recent work with AEW, RVD has signed a WWE Legends contract, making appearances on WWE TV, including recent episodes of SmackDown. The WWE Hall of Famer’s return to NXT brought an extra layer of excitement, especially for fans of his ECW days.

QT Marshall Recalls Discouraging Talk With WWE Before Returning to AEW

Earlier this year, QT Marshall met with WWE, exploring the possibility of joining the rival promotion after several years with AEW. Though he left AEW in November, he returned to the company in an executive role as announced on February 14, 2024.

In addition to his AEW duties, he co-runs the Nightmare Factory in McDonough, Georgia alongside Cody Rhodes. During an interview with SI Wrestling, Marshall reflected on his brief period as a free agent, and his brief talks with WWE.

“I had one conversation with somebody that doesn’t even work there anymore,” Marshall said about the WWE meeting.

“I just got rubbed the wrong way during the conversation. It was like, ‘Hey, yeah, oh yeah, that’s great. All right.’ And I told him, ‘Yeah, all right, we’ll stay in touch.’ But to me, it was like, ‘I’m not staying in touch.’”

The Nightmare Factory, which opened in 2020, was recently recognized as an official member of the new WWE’s ID program, joining five other training schools. However, Marshall clarified that he is unaware of WWE’s specific arrangements with the school, as he chose to step back from coaching a few months ago.

Marshall has a big match against MJF coming on December 15 for Boca Raton Championship Wrestling.

AEW Production Upgrades, Shift to ‘Sports-Style’ Presentation Coming Soon

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) will make significant upgrades to its production capabilities in the coming months, including a renewed emphasis on a sports-style presentation. They’ll will implement the advanced technology starting in January 2025, as the promotion prepares to simulcast AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision on cable television and WBD’s Max streaming service.

Mark J. Burns of Sports Video Group reports on AEW’s plans to utilize Live Media Group’s IP-based mobile facilities, which will include the first North American-based production truck to feature the EVS MediaInfra Strata router.

Mike Mansury, AEW’s Executive Vice President and Head of Global Production, explains that they aim to leverage a cutting-edge production team to enhance the show experience.

“Starting in 2025, you’ll see more of a sports-style presentation in-arena, with added entertainment options for the audience during moments when there isn’t live in-ring action or pre-taped content on the broadcast,” Mansury said.

“We want to create a distinct atmosphere between the live event and TV show to make the experience feel even more special for fans in attendance.”

A new multi-year multimedia rights deal has been signed between AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery, giving AEW an influx of more money. AEW pay-per-views will be available on Max later in 2025 at a discounted price per event.

The promotion plans to tour with 16 production trucks, featuring overhauled A and B units to support this advanced setup.

Damian Priest Becomes #1 Contender To WWE World Heavyweight Title On Raw

WWE is setting up another showdown between GUNTHER and Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship!

On this week’s episode of Raw, a new number one contender for the title was crowned. In the main event, WWE held a Fatal 4-Way match to determine who would be next to challenge GUNTHER. The competitors included Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio, Seth Rollins, and Sheamus, with Priest ultimately securing the victory.

Immediately following the match, Priest and GUNTHER faced off, fueling excitement for their upcoming clash. This opportunity aligns with Priest’s recent statement about refocusing on winning the World Heavyweight Title after a heated feud with Finn Balor. Their rivalry peaked when Balor cost Priest the championship match against GUNTHER at SummerSlam.

Though Dominik Mysterio has also voiced ambitions to win the World Heavyweight Title, he took the pinfall in this Fatal 4-Way, meaning he’ll have to wait for another chance.

As of now, WWE hasn’t officially announced the date for this anticipated title bout, but rumors suggest it might be set for Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14.

IYO SKY Becomes #1 Contender To WWE Women’s World Title On Raw

WWE is setting up a new rivalry on Monday Night Raw between Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan and IYO SKY!

On this week’s episode of Raw, a new number one contender for the Women’s World Championship was crowned, with IYO SKY winning a battle royal to earn the title shot. Bianca Belair was the final competitor eliminated, marking an exciting finish to the match.

Morgan has held the Women’s World Championship since May, after Rhea Ripley was forced to vacate the title due to an injury she sustained in a prior feud with Morgan. Although Ripley and Morgan were embroiled in a heated rivalry, that storyline has been paused for now due to Ripley’s injury.

As of this writing, WWE has yet to announce an official date for the title bout between SKY and Morgan, though potential events include Survivor Series: WarGames on November 30 or Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 14.

Karl Anderson Undergoes Surgery

Karl Anderson has confirmed that he recently underwent surgery and is now beginning his journey to recovery. In an Instagram post, Anderson shared a photo from his hospital bed, hooked up to cardiac monitoring equipment.

The WWE star expressed gratitude for Dr. Dugas, the surgeon who performed the procedure, writing in the caption:

“Thanks to Dr. Dugas in Birmingham, Alabama, for fixing me. See you after #WrestleMania ? #WWE #wweraw. Details on this week’s #TalkNShop dropping Thursday a.m. Link in bio @talknshoppodcast. Monday Night Raw tonight! @wwe.”

Anderson, who forms one-half of the tag team known as The OC alongside Luke Gallows, has been absent from television since the September 24th episode of NXT, where they lost to Hank Walker and Tank Ledger. The duo also participated in a dark match at an NXT event in Chicago the following week.

We wish Anderson a swift and full recovery.

Emma and Riddick Moss Reveal Gender Of Their Baby

Emma and Riddick Moss are on their way to becoming parents. The couple, who announced in September that they were expecting their first child, shared today on Instagram that they’re having a baby boy due in 2025.

Emma added a heartfelt caption to her Instagram post:

“Now we gotta think of names!!! ?

Any suggestions? There’s one name that seems obvious based on the due date… Let’s see if someone guesses it ?

Emma, who had two stints with WWE—first from 2011 to 2017 and later a brief return in 2022—was released from the company last year. Moss also parted ways with WWE in 2023 after a stop-and-start run that included a memorable pairing with Baron Corbin on SmackDown.

Congratulations to the happy couple on this exciting news.

Mercedes Moné Pushes For AEW to Run an All-Women’s PPV

Mercedes Moné was part of WWE’s historic first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view event, and believes that AEW has more than enough talent to do the same.

The original Evolution pay-per-view took place on October 28, 2018, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. Headlined by Nikki Bella vs. Ronda Rousey, the event featured Moné, who teamed with Bayley and Natalya to defeat The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan) by pinfall.

In a recent interview on the Battleground podcast with Tim Battle and Eli, Moné discussed the idea of a weekly, all-women’s AEW television show. She praised AEW’s roster, describing it as the best in women’s wrestling.

“Wow, a weekly show, absolutely. We have the talent, so why not? All Elite Women’s Wrestling? There you go. We have the best women’s wrestling. From Willow, Mariah May, Toni Storm, Serena Deeb, Kris Statlander, Kamille—there’s definitely an opportunity to have an all-women’s show every single week, so I don’t see why not,” Moné said.

Moné was also asked why she feels AEW could host its own all-women’s pay-per-view, similar to WWE’s Evolution.

“Because we have the best women’s wrestlers. We have a roster full of talent and a long list of women that could make an all-women’s pay-per-view possible. I think it’s just a matter of giving the chance and opportunity. If Tony [Khan] sees that, I don’t see why we couldn’t have a women’s revolution here in AEW. It’s already happening; the women have been killing it every single week. I think an all-women’s pay-per-view here would be incredible,” Moné stated.

Montez Ford: WWE Is My Dream Job, But It’s Frustrating

While Montez Ford is grateful to be a WWE star, he has openly expressed frustration with the ups and downs of his 2024 run. From his pairing with Bobby Lashley to losses alongside Angelo Dawkins as part of the Street Profits, this year has presented its share of challenges for Ford.

In a recent interview with Mail Sport’s Lewis Browning, Ford shared his honest thoughts on his current WWE journey. “To say that everything is good would be a lie,” Ford admitted.

“There’s always pleasure in doing what you love, what you admire, what you’ve dreamt of, and what you have passion for,” he said. “But it does get frustrating when you’re trying to accomplish something, and it feels like it’s either taking too long, or nothing’s happening.”

Ford pointed out that it’s been four years since the Street Profits last held the Tag Team Championship. While he loves being part of WWE, he finds the booking decisions increasingly frustrating.

“I’m not going to lie and say I don’t see the comments and reactions,” Ford shared. “I watch everything. We’re not in conversations about top tag teams, or anything wrestling-related beyond getting handled by The Bloodline, and that doesn’t sit well with me. So, while I’m living my dream, it’s as frustrating as it is rewarding.”

Ford also noted the personal challenges of the past year, including the loss of his grandfather and Dawkins’s loss of his mother. Despite these setbacks, Ford remains focused on becoming a champion in WWE once again.

Liv Morgan Reveals New 5-Year WWE Contract

Liv Morgan will be a WWE Superstar for many years to come. Morgan, born Gionna Daddio, joined WWE a decade ago in October 2014. She was initially discovered when a WWE-affiliated strength and conditioning coach saw her working at at Joe DeFranco’s gym. She was on WWE television just a few months later and debuted at NXT Takeover: Rival in February 2015. She portrayed an enthusiastic fan who jumped the barricade to hug wrestler Tyler Breeze, and is now one of the biggest stars in the industry.

Morgan appeared on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast this week, where spilled the news about her new longterm contract. Asked about her “5-year plan,” she replied:

“I just signed a new five-year deal, so my five-year plan is WWE.”

Morgan has enjoyed a breakout year, highlighted by feuds with Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch. She won the vacant Women’s World Title at King and Queen of the Ring back in May, and has been at the center of one of WWE’s most popular storylines.

Unfortunately, her feud with Mami will be put on hold due to Ripley fracturing her orbital bone last week’s Raw. Morgan will battle Nia Jax this weekend in Saudi Arabia to determine the inaugural Women’s Crown Jewel Champion.

Injured AEW Star Backstage At Dynamite

AEW may soon be welcoming back one of its top stars after a lengthy absence. Wardlow was backstage at last night’s AEW Dynamite event from Cleveland’s Wolstein Center, according to PWInsider. He was said to be “looking healthy” but there’s no official word on when he’ll return to television.

Wardlow last competed on March 13 during an episode of Dynamite, where he faced then-AEW World Champion Samoa Joe in a match that ended in a referee stoppage.

On the Stick to Wrestling Podcast, Matt Taven shared that Wardlow is dealing with a knee injury, noting that injuries can be unpredictable and that Wardlow is considering the best treatment plan to aid his recovery.

Wardlow was previously sidelined after he challenged Samoa Joe for the TNT Title on the New Year’s Smash edition of AEW Dynamite on December 28, 2022 in a short match due to an injury. Throughout his time in AEW, whether it be due to injury or lack of creativity, Wardlow has fallen victim to inconsistent booking.

We wish Wardlow a speedy and successful recovery.

Rhea Ripley Faces Extended Absence After Suffering Legitimate Injury on Raw

Rhea Ripley made a special appearance on this week’s WWE NXT, where she addressed several stars in the women’s division, including ZARIA, who made her in-ring debut for the company. Prior to the main event, we saw a disturbing backstage scene of Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez armed with baseball bats, viciously attacking Mami.

The camera followed as Ripley was found lying next to her car, showing a cut on her head with fake blood pouring from the wound. WWE later announced on Wednesday evening that due to the attack, Ripley had suffered a fractured right orbital socket.

Rhea Ripley Update

WWE frequently uses injury storylines to write talent off television for various reasons, such as allowing performers to recover from real injuries or focus on outside entertainment projects.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Rhea Ripley is legitimately dealing with a fractured orbital bone and will be sidelined for the foreseeable future. Although she could potentially return in a non-physical role before being cleared for competition, WWE often opts to keep talent off-screen until they are fully recovered.

How the Injury Occurred

The belief is that Rhea Ripley’s orbital bone was fractured on the October 21 episode of WWE Raw during a spot that involved her head-butting Liv Morgan.

SEScoops wishes Rhea Ripley a full and speedy recovery.

Adam Cole Wins In-Ring Return, Malakai Black Feud Teased

This week’s AEW Dynamite: Fright Night edition saw Adam Cole back in action, taking on Buddy Matthews in his first match since breaking his ankle last year. Cole turned on MJF at Worlds End before taking a hiatus, only to return at Double or Nothing, where an in-ring confrontation with MJF led to Cole being written off TV again. Most recently, Cole returned at WrestleDream, this time fully medically cleared.

Now, both Cole and Roderick Strong are competing to become the first man to win three consecutive matches, securing a shot at MJF at Full Gear. Cole emerged victorious in his match against Matthews, despite teasing that he might give up due to his ankle. After the match, he shook hands with Matthews, only for the lights to go out, revealing Malakai Black standing ominously in the ring.

In a backstage promo following the match, Cole acknowledged Matthews’s toughness as an opponent and hinted at Black’s interest in him. With humor, he commented that he’s being “thrown into the fire” — exactly how he likes it. Cole also addressed MJF directly, saying he doesn’t blame him for breaking his ankle or for being a poor friend who never checked on him. However, he does hold MJF responsible for pretending to be a friend in the first place, saying he always knew MJF would turn on him. Cole ran down MJF’s history of turning on allies, stating that MJF would be foolish to think he wouldn’t see it coming.

Cole made it clear that he cares about AEW and is determined to face MJF at Full Gear, vowing to teach him a lesson in the ring. This potential showdown brings new layers to Cole and Malakai Black’s shared history; the two were known for their fierce rivalry in WWE’s NXT, where Black, formerly Aleister Black, defeated Cole in an Extreme Rules match at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia on January 27, 2018. Both wrestlers were pivotal during NXT’s peak era.

Bobby Lashley Pushed To Get Bianca Belair In His Group With Street Profits

Bobby Lashley attempted to recruit Bianca Belair to join his faction with the Street Profits (Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins) in WWE. In the summer of 2023, this faction received a renewed push on SmackDown.

However, the group felt incomplete for many fans, with some believing it needed a female member to round it out. Since Belair is married to Ford, fans speculated that adding her would make sense and increase the faction’s star power.

The group, portraying a heel edge, represented a fresh dynamic for Belair, who typically appeared as a face. While aligned, they feuded with factions such as the LWO and Final Testament. The faction was informally dubbed “The Pride” before WWE ultimately decided to split them up.

While appearing on the Lame Guys Podcast, Lashley shared that they had lobbied to bring Belair into the group. He also praised her extensively, highlighting her skill and popularity.

“We were trying to get Bianca with them [Street Profits], too. She is so much of an inspiration for so many people that she can’t (turn heel). Little girls absolutely love her, and rightfully so.

Bianca is an absolute superstar. The acting part is fantastic. Her athletic ability in the ring, absolutely incredible. Her fire, everything about her. Her and Montez are a superstar couple. The best of the best.”

B-Fab ended up in the group. Earlier this year, Lashley departed WWE, and speculation suggests he may soon debut in AEW.

Dave Bautista to Star in ‘Alpha Gang’ Alongside Channing Tatum

Dave Bautista is teaming up with an impressive lineup of A-listers for an exciting new movie project titled Alpha Gang. He will star alongside Channing Tatum, Steven Yeun, Zoë Kravitz, Léa Seydoux, and Riley Keough. Two-time Oscar winner Cate Blanchett is set to play the role of Alpha One, the alien leader, heading this unique ensemble.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project will be pitched to international buyers at next week’s American Film Market in Las Vegas. CAA Media Finance is handling North American distribution rights.

Blanchett and Coco Francini are producing the film through Dirty Films. Other producers include Gina Gammell for Felix Culpa, Ryan Zacarias for Fat City, Mary Aloe for Aloe Entertainment, and Andrea Bucko for Sugar Rush Pictures.

The plot centers on a group of alien invaders who disguise themselves as a leather-clad biker gang from the 1950s, intent on conquering Earth. However, their ruthless plans are derailed when they encounter humanity’s most infectious trait: emotions.

Bautista, a former WWE Champion, has recently starred in The Killer’s Game and My Spy: The Eternal City.

AEW WrestleMax, Max Month Trademarks Filed

Ahead of the debut of its programming on MAX, AEW has filed for several new trademarks.

AEW recently entered a multi-year media rights deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, officially announced earlier this month. On October 25, AEW filed for trademark rights to terms including AEW WrestleMax, WrestleMax, and AEW Max Month with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The trademarks are filed under “entertainment services,” with the following description:

“Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services in the nature of live wrestling performances; Entertainment services in the nature of production of wrestling programs and events; Entertainment services, namely, an ongoing multimedia program featuring wrestling distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; Entertainment services, namely, production and distribution of ongoing television programs in the field of wrestling.”

New Agreement

The deal is valued at $555 million over three years, excluding revenue from pay-per-view (PPV) events. AEW PPVs will become available on MAX later in 2025 at a discounted price per event.

While Dynamite and Collision will continue airing on TBS and TNT, AEW’s pay-per-view library will be added to MAX. However, it won’t launch with past AEW TV episodes on January 1st as previously anticipated.

Costco Guy AJ vs. QT Marshall Set For AEW Full Gear

AEW has confirmed a new match for Full Gear, its upcoming pay-per-view event, featuring AJ Befumo—a former indie wrestling standout—returning to the ring to take on QT Marshall. Befumo, one of the breakout stars of 2024, will make his comeback during Full Gear’s pre-show. This follows his recent signing of a one-match deal with AEW, where he challenged Marshall to face him on the big stage.

In a newly released promo, Marshall responded to Befumo’s challenge with a clear message: “You wanted to do this for free on the Zero Hour, in front of all your friends and family. Well, AJ, just because you think that New Jersey is your hometown — I got another thing coming for you,” Marshall said. “New Jersey, I was born. New Jersey, I was raised. And in New Jersey, at Full Gear, I’m going to beat you. I’m going to embarrass you. I’m going to prove to you that 20 years ago when you walked away from professional wrestling and passed the torch to me, QT Marshall, you made the absolute right decision. And I’m going to send you back to TikTok land. I’m going to embarrass you in front of your friends, your family, in front of Big Justice. Because, AJ, you’re going to bring the boom—but QT Marshall is going to bring the doom.”

Background

Befumo, who previously wrestled under the name Eric Justice, is now billed as “Big Boom AJ” for this bout. Known as the “Costco Guys,” AJ and his son Big Justice (Eric Befumo Jr.) have built a following by sharing videos of their Costco visits, enthusiastically showcasing their favorite food items.

AEW Full Gear 2024 will take place on Saturday, November 23, from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

Ricky Starks Makes Surprise Appearance At Glory Pro Wrestling Event

Although Ricky Starks isn’t currently appearing for AEW, that didn’t stop him from making a surprise appearance at Glory Pro Wrestling on October 27th. Starks took out Sean Login with a powerful spear during Sunday’s event.

Following the spot, he delivered a promo, declaring that he doesn’t pass up “the opportunity of a lifetime.” This appearance is setting up Starks for a match against Kody Lane on November 24th.

AEW Absence

Starks hasn’t appeared in AEW programming for several months, leading to speculation that he may be preparing to leave the promotion for WWE when his contract expires. Despite rumors circulating on social media suggesting Starks is already a free agent, these claims have been debunked.

Starks says he’s with AEW and under contract, but is not sure why he’s not being used.

CEO Tony Khan recently praised Starks during an All Out media call, describing him as a valued and respected talent who remains under contract with AEW.

Kyle Fletcher Shows Off Fully Bald Look During Hilarious Weatherman Segment

Kyle Fletcher isn’t fazed by change or showing off a bold new look on live television for the world to see. On Friday, the AEW star appeared on CBS 2 Iowa to promote Saturday’s AEW Collision in Grand Rapids, Iowa, where he revealed his freshly shaved head for the first time since Wednesday’s Dynamite.

During the segment, Fletcher answered a range of questions before having some fun with the weather forecast, informing viewers of rapidly changing weather patterns in the greater Iowa area.

Fletcher’s New Side

At WrestleDream, Fletcher shocked fans by turning on Will Ospreay, costing him the International Title in a triple-threat match with Ricochet and Konosuke Takeshita. Fletcher struck Ospreay with a screwdriver during the match, setting up the decisive moment. He followed up with a Tiger Driver to Ospreay after the match, cementing his betrayal.

In his appearance on this week’s show, Fletcher explained his actions by shaving his head, a gesture meant to show his clear break from Ospreay’s influence.
