A big match has been officially announced for next Monday’s episode of WWE RAW.
The sports entertainment company has revealed that Seth Rollins would get his rematch against Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Title on this show.
As noted, Ziggler beat Rollins after he issued an open challenge to win the title on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Grand Rapids, MI at the Van Andel Arena on the USA Network.
WWE holds next week’s show in San Diego, CA at the Valley View Casino Center. As of this writing, no other matches for RAW have been announced.
An unexpected title change occurred on Monday night.
As seen on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Grand Rapids, MI at the Van Andel Arena on the USA Network, Dolph Ziggler accepted the open challenge made by WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins, who is fresh off a successful title defense over Elias at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena on the WWE Network.
Ziggler was able to beat Rollins to win the title. This marks the sixth time that Ziggler has held the title. Rollins has held the title since RAW 25 back in January where he beat The Miz to win it.
Although this has yet to be confirmed, it’s likely that the sports entertainment company books a rematch between Ziggler and Rollins for the strap at the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view event that takes place on Sunday, July 15, 2018 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the PPG Paints Arena.

Fans won’t be able to see Ronda Rousey on WWE television for the next month.
The reason for this is due to the opening segment on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW in Grand Rapids, MI at the Van Andel Arena on the USA Network.
As seen in the angle that aired on the flagship show of the sports entertainment company, RAW General Manager Kurt Angle announced that Alexa Bliss would make her first title defense as RAW Women’s Champion against Nia Jax at the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view event on Sunday, July 15, 2018 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the PPG Paints Arena.
This is when the former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion hit the ring and attacked not only Bliss but Angle as well.
As noted, Rousey beat Jax by DQ in a WWE RAW Women’s Championship match at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event once Bliss attacked Rousey. After the match, Bliss cashed in her MITB contract to win the title from Jax.
Following the segment, Angle announced that Rousey would be suspended for 30 days as a result of her actions. Rousey will be back on television next month to start the build for her match at the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view event.

“The U.K. has an amazing talent base and incredibly passionate fans that are deserving of their own showcase,” said Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE Executive Vice President, Talent, Live Events & Creative in a statement posted on WWE.com. “This is the next step in our ongoing strategy to create localized content and further develop our brand globally.”
Longtime pro wrestling referee Charles Robinson heard the reaction from fans who were in attendance for Sunday’s (June 17, 2018) WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view event in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena on the WWE Network. For the majority of the night, they were a great crowd that was heavily invested in the matches.
However, there was one match that they did not want to see, which was Roman Reigns vs. Jinder Mahal. Thus, it resulted in fans hijacking the match with random chants. Robinson took to Twitter to give his take on the situation.
“For as great a town that Chicago is for wrestling (one of the best ever), it is really disappointing that they can be so disrespectful when guys like @JinderMahal and @WWERomanReigns are busting there butts and giving us a great match.”

Maria Kanellis was backstage at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. If you recall, Maria and Mike Bennett made their debut as a couple on WWE television at last year’s MITB event by cutting a promo about how everyone would know what the Power Of Love was all about.
It’s been an exciting time for the married couple since then as Mike is now approaching one-year of sobriety and they had their first child, daughter Freddie Moon. When Maria announced that they were expecting, she was taken off the road with the sports entertainment company.
Kanellis wrote the following on her official Instagram account:
“One year after our debut… Happy Father’s Day!! Freddie is getting ready to stick her tongue out,” Maria wrote in an Instagram post with the three of them backstage at the Allstate Arena. Although Mike wasn’t booked this year for Money In The Bank it was still looked like a special night for all of them.”
The first singles match for Ronda Rousey in the WWE is in the books.
However, she was not able to capture her first title in the professional wrestling business. The UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion beat Nia Jax by DQ in a WWE RAW Women’s Championship match at Sunday’s (June 17, 2018) WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view event in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena on the WWE Network.
The finish of the match saw Alexa Bliss attack Rousey to cause the DQ. After the match, Bliss continued the beat down on Rousey and then attacked Jax.
This led to Bliss cashing in her MITB contract to beat Jax to win the RAW Women’s Title. On Monday morning, Rousey took to her official Instagram account to put Bliss on notice leading into tonight’s (June 18, 2018) episode of Monday Night RAW.
“Apparently cheaters DO prosper in the @wwe – not surprising tbh, given their leadership @stephaniemcmahon @tripleh ? I don’t know what I was doing expecting a certain degree of honor and fair sport. That was MY mistake. I won’t make it again. @alexa_bliss_wwe_ …. you screwed over the wrong woman. See you tonight on #Raw.”
WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray has given his take on the actions of the smart fans in attendance for Money in the Bank.
In particular, there was one match that the fans did not have a ton of interest in, which was Roman Reigns battling Jinder Mahal in a singles match at the event in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena on the WWE Network.
Throughout the match, they had several different chants including “Let’s go Cena, Cena sucks,” “CM Punk,” “A**hole,” “You both suck,” “Johnny Wrestling,” “Let’s go beachball,” “End this match,” “Too sweet,” “Boring,” “Y2J,” “EC3,” Velveteen,” and “We want Ambrose.” They also did the wave.
As a result of their reaction to this match that was booked by the sports entertainment company, Ray decided to take to his official Twitter account to explain how he would have handled the smarks at the show.
This also led to Lance Storm and Paul Heyman chiming in. He wrote the following:
“Back in the day, if unruly smarks tried to ruin or “takeover” the show, Devon and I would just jump the rails and beat the shit outta everybody. Problem solved.”

We officially know now who will grace the cover of the upcoming WWE 2K19 video game.
On Monday morning (June 18, 2018), it was officially announced by 2K Games that WWE Champion AJ Styles, who is fresh off a title defense over Shinsuke Nakamura in a Last Man Standing Match at Sunday’s WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view event in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena, will be the cover star.
WWE 2K19 will be released on October 9, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. As of this writing, 2K Games did not reveal a trailer for the game.
Styles joins some big names that have graced the cover of the video game. Since the first WWE 2K game back in 2014, WWE has featured just one Superstar on the box cover. In 2014 it was The Rock, followed by John Cena, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Brock Lesnar, and Seth Rollins last year.
2K Games has yet to officially announce the pre-order bonus character but a report came out last week that revealed who it would be. We won’t spoil it here but for those who want to find out, please click here.

As seen at Sunday’s (June 17, 2018) WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view event in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena on the WWE Network, Braun Strowman won the Men’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match.
Following the match, WWE’s YouTube channel released this video of Mike Rome interviewing Strowman about winning the contract and asked what was next for him.
This led to Strowman sending a warning to Lesnar by stating that Lesnar was next. He also sent out this tweet:
“It’s official. I am Mr. Monster in the Bank. Not much longer until I come looking for you Brock.”
As of this writing, Lesnar is not advertised for any upcoming WWE events but is expected to make his next title defense at the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view event.

Roman Reigns has put incoming WWE Superstars on notice.
Reigns was able to pick up a singles victory over former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal at Sunday’s (June 17, 2018) WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view event in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena on the WWE Network.
Following the match, WWE’s YouTube channel released this video of Mike Rome interviewing Reigns. In this interview, Reigns admitted that he wanted to be in the MITB Ladder Match but that was not meant to be.
He ended the interview by telling up and coming stars in the sports entertainment company that he will not be a stepping stone. “It’s not what I had planned originally but sometimes you gotta send a statement,” Reigns said. “There’s a lot of new guys, a lot of aggressive talent coming up. A lot of guys with a lot of experience and they all want to take what’s mine. A lot of people can say what they want about me but I busted my ass for 6 years to make this place mine, to mold it the way I wanted it to be, to make it a better place, to leave it better than I found it, and that’s what I’ve done. “I’ll be damned, I do not care who you are, what kind of name you’re trying to make… you’re not going to use me as a stepping stone. This is my yard – in the ring, out the ring, in the back, in the locker room, I am the man around here. So if you want it, come get it.”
WWE’s next big show is the upcoming Extreme Rules pay-per-view event that takes place on Sunday, July 15, 2018 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the PPG Paints Arena. It will be interesting to see if WWE books Reigns vs. Mahal again or they go in a different direction.
WWE booked Daniel Bryan against Big Cass in a singles match at Sunday’s (June 17, 2018) WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view event in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena on the WWE Network, which ended up serving as the opening match for the show.
Bryan picked up the win and spoke about it with Dasha Fuentes after the match. Bryan noted that he was impressed with Cass as he has been training hard with Drew Gulak to prepare for this match.
The former World Champion would go onto say that although he got the best that Big Cass had to offer, the big man got tired and he had no choice but to tap to the Heel Hook.
Seth Rollins Retains
Seth Rollins was able to successfully retain the WWE Intercontinental Title over Elias at this pay-per-view event.
Following the match, Rollins did an interview where he talked about Elias giving him more of a fight than he originally expected but he’s a fighting champion and that’s what life is all about. He added that he can’t wait to see what’s next for him as Intercontinental Champion.

Tommaso Ciampa’s Big Win
As seen at Saturday’s (June 16, 2018) WWE NXT TakeOver: Chicago II event in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena on the WWE Network, Tommaso Ciampa was able to beat former best friend Johnny Gargano in a Street Fight in the main event of the show.
Following the match, he took to his official Twitter account to comment on the big win. He wrote the following:
Ember Moon is slated to participate in the biggest match thus far in her career on the WWE main roster.
The former NXT Women’s Champion spoke with the Miami Herald about various topics. In this interview, she talked about participating in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match at the upcoming pay-per-view event against Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch, Natalya, Lana, Naomi, and Sasha Banks. “It’s awesome. I get to be in a Money in the Bank ladder match. I get to prove to the world what I can do. I get to prove to the world that I am worthy of their admiration, that I am worthy of their love, that I represent skill, honor, heart. That I’m gonna climb to the top of that ladder, grab that briefcase, and I’m one step closer to becoming Raw Women’s Champion.”
Following a successful run in NXT, the sports entertainment company decided to call her up to the main roster and placed her on their flagship show, Monday Night RAW. She also talked about her reaction to being called up in this interview. “I was like, ‘What? Hold on. Hold on,’ and I remember I broke down, and I started crying, and a camera came out of nowhere, and it was in my face, and I was like, [Sounding Emotional] ‘Why do you guys have to ruin everything with cameras.’ [Chuckles]. That’s the first words I said, after finding out I’m on Monday Night Raw.”

Triple H has discussed what is in store for the WWE’s latest signing, Keith Lee.
As seen at Saturday’s (June 16, 2018) WWE NXT TakeOver: Chicago II event in Chicago, Illinois at the Allstate Arena on the WWE Network, former WWN Champion Keith Lee made an appearance in the crowd, signaling that he has signed a deal with the company. Lee was referenced on-air as a former WWN Champion by NXT commentator Nigel McGuinness.
Following the event during the post-NXT TakeOver: Chicago media conference, Triple H talked about what the WWE has planned for Lee in NXT.
“I think I’m gonna let him land first,” Triple H said. “I saw Keith Lee walk through the entrance way at the arena this afternoon and stood on the same spot on the stage while we were walking through rehearsals for probably about an hour with just a blown-away look on his face.”
“I think it’s gonna take a minute for Keith Lee to land on the ground,” Triple H continued. “But once he does I’m expecting big things from Keith Lee. He’s a phenomenal talent, big dude that probably shouldn’t be able to do the things that he does. He’s a phenomenal talent and I can’t wait to work with him, our team to work with him to help him take everything that he’s done so far and just take it to a whole nother level.” H/T to Wrestling Inc for the transcript

WWE Hall of Famer Edge has given some credit to fellow WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels for helping him.
During a Q&A session on a recent episode of E&C’s Pod Of Awesomeness, Edge looked back on how working with Michaels back in 2005 helped him in his transition from a tag team competitor into a singles star through their storyline.
If you recall, back in late 2004, Edge turned heel for the first time since 2001 when he helped Triple H retain the World Title over Michaels at the Taboo Tuesday PPV, which led to a program between Edge and Michaels that ended at the 2005 Royal Rumble. “I think that was coming off of the Cyber Sunday or Taboo Tuesday, or whatever that pay per view was where fans voted on who would face Triple H in the world title match. I think that is where the whole angle started. That was when I was first starting to turn heel and was purely focused on that world title. Everything for the character, and Shawn Michaels was the first guy that I worked against with the incarnation of the character.
I think we worked a Royal Rumble opener and had a lot of fun and then we had a Street Fight on Raw–I want to say it was in Rhode Island,” Edge said. “I obviously always enjoyed working against Shawn. We had a lot of house show matches throughout the years that were kind of thrown together. I remember one in Laredo, Texas, which is a hot arena, about a 8-10,000 seat arena, and I remember we just went out there and put out 35 minutes and had a lot of fun by going out there and having Shawn Michaels and I just wing it. It was always a lot of fun.”
Edge went on to say that the rivalry with the WWE Hall of Famer was crucial to his development into a main event superstar.
“I don’t know how much creative was put together with our angle with the exception of me being an angry guy pursuing the title, who felt he should be world champion, and I think that Shawn was given the challenge from creative to get this kid over, because if it doesn’t happen with you then it’s probably not going to happen,” Edge said. “Now I know that it was the challenge that he was given if this could work or not, so I guess he helped me prove that I could so thank you Shawn Michaels!”

Former WWE Champion Dean Ambrose was at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL this past week rehabilitating his repaired triceps tear, according to PWInsider.
Ambrose has been out of action since late 2017 when he underwent surgery to repair a high-grade triceps tendon. The surgery took place in December, but the arm injury reportedly took place at the Tables, Ladders, and Chairs pay-per-view event back on October 22nd.
At TLC, Ambrose took a bump on a table that didn’t break. Following the match, his right arm immediately swelled up. While Ambrose didn’t take any time off and continued to work through the pain, things got worse over time.
WWE stated Ambrose would be out nine months at the time of his surgery been announced. Thus, that timeline would put his in-ring return around August or early September.
